Author's Note

I’m back, and the reason why I’m writing this chapter early is because I’m sick from school today, but I’m only going to write one chapter today. Enjoy the rest of the chapters on Saturday.

And also, I had to put the Wilhelm Scream sound effect just to make viewers laugh.

Chapter 12: First Contact

We arrive at the town hall where the mayor was on stage along with three princesses on their chairs behind her, and around the stage were a crowd of villagers.

“What am I ready for the announcement, Twilight?” I ask,

“I’m not sure, Saurian, but let’s just watch.” Twilight replies,

The mayor taps the microphone, and then she announces. “Fillies and gentle-colts, as a mayor of Ponyville, I had a special announcement. Yesterday, a Chrysalis along with her changelings launch an attack on Canterlot, but it turns out they were defeated by a new stallion who discovered their true origin, Saurian Rex.”

Mary looks at me with a smile on her face, and I blush.

“He was not alone as he is with our old heroes, Twilight Sparkle and her friends.” The mayor turns to Celestia. “Princess Celestia? You can step forward.”

Celestia trots forward switching places with the mayor. “Thank you, Ms. Mare. As we all know that we’re not alone in the universe, this is our first confirmed contact with a species far beyond our world, but it turns out we didn’t know that the Changelings were extraterrestrial until Saurian discovered it. We don’t know where they come from, and what they’re going to do with us, but I believe that they came here to exterminate all of us.”

The citizens gasp, and start to panic.

“Please remain calm. There is one hope for survival. Saurian Rex, would you come on stage?”

The citizens especially Twilight all turn at me, and they give space to create a path towards the stage. I got a stage fright.

“Don’t be shy.”

I take a deep breath after Mary says “Good luck”, and I trot towards the stage. I climb on the stage, and right over Celestia. I turn to Luna and Cadance who nod happily.

Celestia whispers in my ear. “I know you’re nervous, and so am I, but it’s okay if you’re nervous.”

“Thanks, Celestia.” I take a deep breath, and I trot over the microphone. After a pause, I clear my throat. “Hello... I’m Saurian, and yes, I’m new here. And I know it’s going to be hard, but I think I know how to stop them. Since that they’re ‘alien’, they can’t be stopped by any spell, but the best way to kill them are weapons more powerful than spears and swords. And if their technology is far more advanced, we should use their technology against them, and the only way to beat them is by killing their queen. Like the Changelings themselves, they’re euscoial, and the workers and soldiers were controlled by Chrysalis’s hive mind, and when she dies, her brood will die with her.”

Just then, Celestia starts to groan a little.

“...And that’s about it, everypony.” I took a step back, and I turn to Celestia as Mare trots back to her microphone.

“Celestia, are you alright?” I ask,

“I’m fine.” Celestia says, “Thank you for asking.”

“Thank you, Saurian.” the mayor says, and then she turns at the audiences.

As the mayor continues to announce, a voice in my head suddenly appears. Get to Twilight’s castle. They’re coming.

“Who is this?” I ask,

“What did you say, sweetheart?” Cadance asks,

I turn to Cadance. “You didn’t hear someone else, did you?”

“Just the mayor speaking.”

“Gosh, I’m crazy.”

“Is there something wrong?”

“No it’s just--”

Suddenly, the mayor’s announcement interrupts when Celestia, Luna, Cadance, the Mane 6 and Spike cover the heads groaning in agony causing the audience to get shocked.

I turn to my left, and look up. Dozens of meteors hurdling from the clouds descending towards each city in the far distance including Canterlot. As the princesses, Spike and the Mane 6 stop screaming from migrane, fifteen meteors land on Canterlot, and then twelve meteors are heading our directions.

I run over the microphone, and I yell. “Everypony, head for shelter!”

When the first object lands through the roof of the house next to Sugarcube Corner, the panic citizens run like mice trying to seek shelter as meteors slam around Ponyville.

I jump off stage follow by the mayor and the princesses, and I run over Twilight and the others. “We still have anyone?”

The meteor slams through the city hall like a bullet leaving a massive hole.

“Follow me!” Celestia says as we follow her towards the bridge.

“We’ve never had a meteor shower in the last two years.” Applejack says,

“Well this one just hit the fan.” Mary says,

As the object lands closely in front of us, everything went quiet as our ear ring and smoke smothers around the crash site.

I cough out smoke as my ears stop ringing. “Is everypony okay?”

“I’m not dead.” Rainbow says,

“I’m still in one piece.” Applecrisp says,

“That was fun!” Pinkie exclaims,

“Oh really? You think?” Red says,

Rarity wipes the dust off of her mane. “Nopony throws dust in my mane. Humph!”

“It wasn’t somepony’s fault Rarity... ah choo!” Mary sneezes,

“Bless you.” Spike says,

“Thank you, Spike.”

Celestia and the other princesses help us up after the meteorite impact knocked us backward. “Is everyone alright?” Celestia asks,

“We’re fine.” I say, “We’re lucky no one got hurt.”

The smoke clears. The pony citizens gather in awe around the crater twenty feet in diameter, but what’s in the crater was a mysterious pod-like object fifteen feet high.

One of the pony citizens ask a lot of questions to each other. “What is it?”

“I has no idea.”

“Saurian, have you seen anything like that?” Twilight asks,

I shake my head. “No.”

The guards show up from the crowd, and they gather around the object telling the citizens to step back away from the object.

“Everypony, just remain calm. It was just a meteorite.” The mayor says,

“It doesn’t look like a space rock to me.” the stallion says,

Suddenly, we hear an unearthly sound coming from the object causing all of us including the guards to startle. After about ten seconds, steam emerges out of the cracks of the object, and four panels on each side slide all the way to the top revealing a dark hollow opening inside it.

The guard investigates to see what’s inside the object. Suddenly, a tentacle quickly emerges out of the darkness coiling around the guard’s neck, and pulls him inside the object as quick as a flash in a Wilhelm Scream.

After the guard disappears inside the object, we hear him screaming in agony until silence.

After a short pause, the guard’s body flies out of the object, and lands in front of us. He’s all pale, his eyeballs rolled backwards, and his body is hyper skinny. Fluttershy jumps behind Mary in fear, Applecrisp covers Firefly’s eyes as he’s frightened, Pinkie screams like a little girl, Rainbow vomits off scene, and Rarity faints like a Disney princess.

“Look!” Sugar says pointing at the object.

A scary wet leathery arm emerges out of the darkness to the left side of the object door, and a two-thick-toed sauropod-like leg emerges out of the darkness to the bottom right side. After two blue pupil-less eyes appear from the darkness, what’s slowly emerging out of the object was an enemy that has returned from Canterlot during the attack--an alien worker!
