Dino Saurian Rex
Chapter 25: Fantasy or Science talk
Previous ChapterNext ChapterAuthor's Note
What is up, readers and dino-fans? Tyrannosaurianrex9 here, and I'm sorry I took so long. I have swim meet for hours so I would write one chapter for today, and more chapters will be written tomorrow.
I also put one reference to Zelda while Twilight and my character argue about magic.
Chapter 25: Fantasy or Science talk
We teleport into a small town with a small broken pyramid near the city.
"Where are we now?" Kelly asks,
"It looks like the aliens aren't here so we'll be okay." I say,
"Brandon, can I talk to you for a second?" Lauren asks,
"Ugh! I'm so hungry." Rainbow wines, "Is there a restaurant somewhere?"
"Don't worry." James says, "I got some more snacks back at the hotel this morning."
"Okay, guys. Let's take a break." I say,
While the rest of us sit near the small yellow building to eat some snacks James picked up from the hotel, Lauren walks over me.
"Brandon, I need to talk to you." She says,
"Is something wrong with me?" I ask, "Did I do something bad?"
"No, silly." she says, "I was just worried that the aliens are mostly after you, but why?"
"I visited Luna in my dreams, and she told me about the aliens' first arrival on Earth during the age of dinosaurs, and she told me what they're planing to do. They came here to salvage every natural resources to expand their technology, and they want to enslave the entire population to serve their colony."
"So these abductees are their puppets?"
"Before the invasion, they abducted them, and they use the implants to turn people into jerks just like their queen, and when they attack, the implants activate, and they control the minds of their subjects."
"I can see why are they attacking our world, but you said that they're mostly after you, but why?"
"She's not just hunting me, she's hunting an Arcturian that is guiding me somehow. And I think that's what Celestia told me after she drew this figure before the attack."
"So that's why you were mind control to save us from that man in a black suit, and that is how you are imagining the will-o-wisp."
"I forgive that thing that's inside my head for mind controlling me just to save our butts. And that man in a black suit, I call it the Men in Black or MIB for short. I think those were Reptoids in disguise, and they use them as infiltration units."
"So I'm guessing that nothing can shape shift. The presidents on the other hand weren't as tall as the aliens."
"I always knew that David Ike was an idiot thinking shape shifting was real, but it wasn't. And metamorphosis and color changing doesn't count on that. And also, why do people think that the moon landing in 1969 is fake? Why do we think the Earth is hollow? Why do we think that the moon was a space ship? And why do we think George W. Bush was responsible for the 9/11 attacks?"
"I'm guessing that they don't care about science."
"The aliens did killed off the dinosaurs, but I'm glad they're not humans."
"Come on! If we killed off the dinosaurs, then how come we still have primitive technology for thousand of years? That's ridiculous!"
"It was ridiculous. Well back in Equestria, magic isn't just like in a Fantasy world like in movies, it was made by technology from a species more advanced than the aliens that're attacking us."
"Probably magic is made of microscopic nano-machines that would do something whatever it does."
"I've heard that it would take about a billion years to develop teleportation technology like this, and I'm guessing that the Arcturians are the oldest race in the Milky Way."
"I'm guessing we haven't discovered extraterrestrial intelligence yet."
"Until they attack."
"Shouldn't the aliens want to coexist and bring peace to other planets?"
"They don't need peace because they're malevolent in nature."
"How can their whole entire race can be pure evil?"
"Sometimes highly intelligent organisms like humans can be evil or good, but in the Age of Dinosaurs, there's no good and evil when nothing is as highly intelligent until today."
"And since I've been in the Everfree Forest around here, the animals are very dangerous and strange. A Cockatrice can somehow turn a living thing into stone after a stare in the eyes, these Timberwolves, which are ridiculously made of twigs, wood and sticks, can rebuild themselves after they were shatter to pieces, Manticores, I had no idea what it is because I can't tell if it's a mammal or an arachnid or something; probably a hybrid, and these Cragodiles have armor made of rocks or maybe hard bone. Equestria has like a ton of strange and terrible fauna."
"Even fauna on Earth is strange, but it's the good thing they don't have magic. Most deadly animals such as mosquitoes have natural predators to balance the food chain, but shouldn't Cockatrices have natural enemies?"
"I have no idea unless we could autopsy them."
"I've heard that they can turn us into stone even if they're dead."
"Stupid Fantasy World."
We giggle.
"Yeah, I hate Fantasy." I chuckle, "Because Fantasy stuff make scientists like me mad."
"It looks like 'Reality' is better than 'movie magic'."
"Yeah, 'movie magic' is a pain in my rear end."
Just then, Twilight appears right next to us crossing her arms glaring at us.
"What?" I shrug,
"Don't you believe in magic?" Twilight asks,
"I'm a scientist not a 'wizard'."
"Alright, listen you 'non-magic believer'! My world has magic and a little bit of science. The reason why we’re less advanced than your species is because we mostly use magic and so do the other creatures. Got it?"
“Well excuuuuuse me, princess!”
Twilight crosses her arms.
"I was trying to tell you that 'magic' is too dangerous in Equestria, and so does those wired creatures in your world. Celestia's mother should've put dinosaurs in Equestria. I mean think about the villains that are trying to make Equestria into a dangerous place, and think about these creatures in the Everfree Forest; they're going to need Natural Enemies just like all animals here on Earth. So could you please stop keeping the magic in your world so you don't want to watch everypony die?"
"It wasn't our fault that we had magic."
"Then what else her mother has in your world? Dinosaurs that can talk? Pterosaurs that could eat trees? Marine Reptiles that could walk...?” Then I realize that an argument isn’t a good thing. “Dang! I shouldn’t argue with friends. Promise me we’ll keep this between us."
"Promise."
"Alright. And I'm hungry." I walk over James for some snacks.
After we had some snacks, we head out for the pyramid, but as we get here, we notice something. Dozens of drop ships show up, and they approach towards the alien base in the distance. But these drop ships aren't alien, but they're human vehicles with alien tech.
"What's going on?" Twilight asks,
"I don't know." I reply, "Come on."
We reach the top to come across a green object with an Element that resembles itself as a purple crystal.
"Is that my Element?" Rarity asks,
"I think so." Twilight says,
"Let's get to it then." Rarity touches the object, and then it disintegrates into small particles that swarm around Lauren and Rarity, and then they create gloves and steel vests with a purple circle in their palms.
"What do these do now?" Lauren asks,
As they find out, Twilight and I look at the aliens base as we hear plasma fire and explosives.
"It looks like we're not the only ones fighting aliens." I say,
"Who were those people?" Twilight asks,
"Don't know. Don't care. We've got to focus on two more Elements."
"Got it, and I'm... sorry about the arguement. I just thought you just want to destroy the magic."
"I didn't say that. I was just saying that your world needs to be careful of using them. And why not both technology and magic?"
"Our technology isn't that advanced as humanity."
"Unless we can coexist."
"That sounds like a awesome idea."
A diamond shape made of hard-light appears in front of Lauren as her open palms glow. "I just created some sort of protected shield that can withstand anything."
Rarity creates a hard-light shield floating in front of her, and then she grabs it before placing it on the floor. "It can also be grabbed or be thrown, darling."
Their hard-light shields disappear.
"Come on, guys. We've got two more to go." I say.
The portal door emerges out of the ground, and then it opens.
"Onward to adventure!"
We jump into the portal.
