Author's Note

Hey, what is up, readers. I’m back to start a few chapters, and I’m sorry I took so long. Unfortunately, here’s a bigger problem, the viewing rates are decreasing, and the reason why remains a mystery as no one answers in the comments below.

Also, I put a reference ‘that everyone knows what’ in the beginning of the chapter.

Edit: Speaking of which, I can’t put another chapter on Sunday because it was a busy day so it will be the next chapter on Monday or Tuesday.

Chapter 29: Finding Faust

I wake up from my bunk, and I walk into the room we’ve been there last night. But then I realize that nobody is there... except one.

An alien worker, that is sitting on the chair behind the table, says with a voice similar to Twilight’s. “Brandon.”

“Brandon!”

I burst in awake from my dream.

“Wake up, sleepyhead.” Twilight says, “We’re going on a mission.”

“Right.” I crawl out of my bunk.

Twilight and I walk into a room we’ve been there last night, and the other team, how had their suits and their weapons, were waiting inside.

As Twilight’s and my suit appears around my body even our weapons, I say, “You guys ready?”

“Ready!” They say,

“Let’s go save the director.”

We move out of the room.

Spike sits on the chair in front of the TV. “I’ll stay here, and guard the room.”

We arrive at the hangar with two separate drop ships inside. They can fit six people each so one of us needs to split into two teams.

Thomas walks in. “Hey, Brandon; make sure that the director won’t get killed by the enemy. If the mission fails, we won’t have a chance to save two different worlds. Faust is our only last hope for our survival.”

“Copy, sir.” I say,

“Good luck out there.” He leaves the hangar,

“I wonder if I can see her.” Nick is so excited, “I can’t wait to shake the hands on her!”

“First we’ll save the director; than we’ll evac.” I say,

“Right.”

“Each drop ship only carry six passengers. Twilight; you, Lauren, Applejack, Nick, Pinkie and Kelly will go to the second drop ship while the rest of us will go to the other. Each will land in different locations. I don’t know what.”

The employee walks over us. “Sir, the drop ship that Twilight’s team go to leads to a high place while your team’s ship will land in the city.”

“Understood.”

He leaves.

“Let’s go save the director.”

While Twilight’s team move inside the second drop ship, my team walk inside the first drop ship before the door panel behind the ship shuts and seal us inside.

After we buckle up, Rainbow says, “Boy I love human technology.”

“Or alien tech.” I say,

“I-I’m not sure if Faust could see us.” Fluttershy says,

“Don’t worry, Flutters.” James says, “She knows everypony.”

“Yeah.”

Rarity looks around. “This is way better than a carriage.”

“Especially when it flies.” Rebecca says,

Just then, the engine from outside roars as the pilot says, “Control, this is Bravo 1; request permission to launch.”

“Roger, Bravo 1. You are clear for take off.” Thomas says in the radio,

The holographic screen from in front of the drop ship door appears, and it reveals that two of our drop ships ascend upwards through the tunnel, and then emerges outside what it looks like an Air Force Base in the desert. The drop ships turn east, and then they move forward towards France.

About three hours of traveling, we arrive at a small city that looks deserted except for the fact they’re non-hostile Changelings (abductees) arguing each other or trashing everything while trapped inside Chrysalis’s hive mind. Around the city were five alien abductor ships (two of them are slightly larger than the others) hovering above the city scanning for Changelings, and as one of them finds them, they abduct him/her inside the ship using some sort of gravitational beam in the bottom center of the ship before moving on, and three landed alien ships the shape of rectangular prisms.

“We’ve got three landed Transporter Ships around the city and five alien abductor ships over it. We need to land as far away as possible.” The pilot says,

I look at the Changelings from down below. “Those poor people. I feel bad about them getting trapped in their own heads.”

“Well at least they’re not the ‘alien changelings’ before you changed their queen back.” Rebecca says,

“Yeah. She named herself and her brood after them before she becomes an alien herself.”

“No wonder how she got magic after injecting Celestia’s blood into her.” Rarity says,

“They want to genocide the ponies by sabotaging Equis before moving on to Earth.”

“And we can’t let that happen.” James says,

I nod.

After Twilight’s drop ship lands a couple of miles away, our ship descends into a small town near a city, and lands safely in the middle of the road.

After the door opens, we unbuckle our seat belts, we stand up while we draw our weapons, and we step out of the ship.

I turn on my radio. “Twilight, do you read me?”

“I read you, Brandon.” Twilight says in my radio,

“We’re focusing on rescuing Faust. They’re five alien abductor ships above us around the city, and they’re dozens of workers around here. Don’t let the enemy capture you, copy?”

“Copy that.”

“Team 1, out.” I turn off my radio, “Let’s move out.”

We throughout down as the drop ship ascends, and they it moves away from the city undetected by the aliens.

“So where’s the director anyway?” James asks,

“As long as we scan around the city, we’ll find her.” I say,

Just then, dozens of changelings emerge out of each door from each building, and then an abductor ship shows up way ahead of us.

“Hide.” I whisper,

We run towards the building to the left, and we through the open door. As we look through the window, the abductor ship creates a tractor beam at the changelings, and then it pulls them up inside the ship until once they’re cleared, the alien ship moves out.

“Poor people. Never had a chance to break free.” Rarity says,

We move out of the building.

Before we move on, an Insectoid, holding a body, emerges out of the building next door.

“Shoot! Insectoid!” Rainbow draws her weapon quickly,

BANG!

Before the Insectoid reacts, a tiny projectile hits the top of the abdomen, and then it collapses to death dropping the dead body.

“What the...?” I say,

“Hey. Over here.” Someone from the building in front of us call, “Don’t let them see us.”

We approach the building, and we step inside before shutting the door behind us.

“Hello?” I say,

Just then, a man with black hair and a goatee shows up, and he gasps unbelievably. “My gosh! Was that Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Rarity?”

“You know us?” Rainbow asks,

“Yeah. My wife, Lauren Faust, told me about you.” He says, “I didn’t realize you were real until now. Nice suits by the way, and these weapons of yours look awesome.”

“We’re looking for Lauren Faust. Have you seen her?” I ask,

“Well, it’s a long story. Two days ago, my wife and I were vacationing here, but after our phones lost connected, some of the citizens’ eyes were turned green and they start arguing each other. And then, suddenly, two hours ago, dozens of objects land in the city, and these creatures emerge out of them, and they start cocooning everyone. Some of the population evacuated while others were trapped in this attack or getting abducted, and then we realize that they’re aliens just like in one of those sci-fi movies, but my wife says that most of them look like Changelings from the show, but they’re bipedal, they don’t shape shift, and they have their own personal shields and plasma weapons. Somehow, they didn’t feed on love.”

“What about your wife?”

“I tried looking for her after we’re separated during the attack, but these things are everywhere. I tried my best to fight them off. I shot a giant praying mantis trying to save you guys. I learned that the abdomen was its weak spot where the heart is.”

“What’s your name, sir?”

“Craig McCracken. Why’re you looking for her?”

“It’s a long story, McCracken.” I say, “But your wife is the piece of a puzzle that could help us find Chrysalis, and--”

“Wait, Queen Chrysalis? The Queen of the Changelings? She’s real too? I didn’t realize that she’s leading the aliens. Wait, the aliens are the Changelings? Why didn’t Lauren tell me?”

“We don’t have time. Can you help her locate her?”

“I don’t know where she is. But we can look for her.”

“What do you mean ‘we’?”

“I can go with you. Trust me. I can handle this.”

“We can’t let you come with us.” I say, “You’ll get yourself killed.”

“Don’t worry. I’ve been surviving this a lot without any training.” He shows me his pistol, “And I know how to kill them easily.”

“Okay. We’ll go look for your wife, and get out of here.”

“Good.”

After we emerge out of the building, I turn on the radio. “Twilight, we’ve located the director’s husband, and he’s coming with us.”

No response.

“Twilight, do you read me?”

No response.

I turn off my radio. “Dang! Why didn’t she answer?”

“Is Twilight and the others with you?” McCraken asks,

“They’re with the other team, McCraken.” I reply, “I don’t know why she reply.”

“You sure we can trust him?” Rainbow asks,

“Don’t worry, RD.” James says, “He’s one of the director’s husband.”

“Two ‘Laurens’ when we locate her.” Rebecca says sarcastically,

Fluttershy whispers to Rarity. “Is ‘our’ Lauren Brandon’s crush?”

“I heard that.” I say,

“I’m not going to bully you, Brandon.” She says with a cute smile on her face.

“Thanks, Fluttershy.”

“Lauren, uh I mean ‘my Lauren’, always knew that Fluttershy can be a nice girl to everybody or everypony.” McCraken says,

“Yeah.”

Suddenly, a Draco covered in fully heavy body armor and equipped with wrist-mounted blades on each arm emerges out of the building, and then it roars.

“Get down!” I say to McCraken as he hides inside the building,

As the armored Draco charges towards us, we open fire at the creature, but it won’t give up.

As the Draco gets closer, I shout, “Incoming!”

We dodge just before the Draco could collide us. After the Draco misses its charging attack, it turns to Fluttershy who lies on her back frighten.

Just as the Draco is about to attack Fluttershy, Rainbow rushes towards the creature, and jumps on its back. The Draco struggles to shake Rainbow off as she jabs the creature rapidly with her hard-light knife. After the Draco finally throws Rainbow off of its back, I switch my rifle to my hard-light sword, and I charge towards the creature.

Just before the Draco can react, I impale through its torso through its armor, and the Draco roars in pain. I then slice the creature vertically in half spewing yellow-green blood before it collapses.

“What a nightmare.” I say,

McCraken emerges out of building looking impressed, “That was awesome!”

“We need to go. We need to focus on finding Faust.”

Just then, my radio turns on, and we can hear plasma fire. “Brandon, do you read?” That was Applejack.

“Applejack, give me Twilight.”

“It’s not important, Brandon. We need backup, ASAP.”

“Where are you?”

“We’re in front of a bridge below it.”

“We’re on our way.” I turn the radio off. “Let’s go.”

We run down the street to follow the plasma fire sound in the distance.

We finally arrive at the battlefield where Applejack, Kelly and Pinkie were behind the half broken wall for cover firing their weapons at a dozen alien soldiers.

Kelly turns behind at us. “Brandon, you’re here thank Celestia.”

We regroup with the others firing our weapons against an alien squad, but then we realize that Lauren, Nick and Twilight are missing.

I cover next to Applejack. “Applejack, where’re Twilight and the others?”

Applejack shakes her head. “Bad news, they took them.”

I gasp. “THEY DID WHAT!?”

“When we spotted some red haired woman ahead of us, they ambushed us, and they snatch the woman follow by Twilight, Nick and Lauren. We tried to help them, but they just keep on coming.”

“Why didn’t Twilight listen to me?” I groan as Rarity tosses her grenade at the four alien heavy soldiers killing them all.

“She did listen to you, but it just goes nowhere. I’m sorry, Brandon.”

“Do you know where’re they taken?”

“They took them into one of their gunships, and then they transported them to that alien Cruiser over there.” She points at the alien ship in the distance. That’s the large alien ship that destroyed Twilight’s Castle, and we called it a Cruiser.

They’re five alien soldiers left. Rarity takes a shot on the first one, James takes out the second one, Fluttershy takes out the third one, and Rebecca takes out the last one.

“Enemy cleared out.” Kelly says,

I look at the alien cruiser in the distance as it’s about to leave. I then take a deep breath. “Those freaks are going to pay.” I turn to the others. “They kidnapped one of our teammates just like they’d kidnapped our greatest ponies, and Starlight, Trixie and Discord saved them all, and we’re doing the same thing like they did. As they attack two different worlds, they aren’t going to give up exterminating everybody and everypony so we must put to the end of this threat once and for all. We will retrieve the last Element of Harmony after we save the others and the director, we will destroy the Illuminati, take out the remaining alien bases on Earth and Equis, we find that queen, and destroy her before she will trigger the sixth mass extinction the same thing she did to the dinosaurs. Let’s go help the others!”

“Yeah!” They all say,

I turn on my radio, “Bravo one and two, request permission for pickup. Get us to that alien cruiser. They took the director follow by Twilight, Lauren and Nick.”

“That’s suicide.” the pilot says,

“This is our only way to get into that ship.”

“If only we had some cloaking devise.”

“Good. Now pick us up, and get to that ship before it gets away.”

“Roger that. We’re coming in. Out.” Two drop ships arrive to pick us up.
