Sorry I unsubmitted the story before this chapter. I had to revoke the story, and then resubmitt the story when it’s finished because the dislike rates are increasing. So here it is.

Chapter 35: Back to Equestria

We arrive at the hangar where Faust is here waiting.

“You’re here.” Faust says,

“Ready to kick some alien butt?” I grin,

“I’d thought you’d never ask.”

We split up into two groups (my group are James, Nick, Lauren, Kelly, Rebecca, Faust and me while the second group are the rest of the team), and we walk inside one of the two drop ships while the other drop ships and human fighters with reverse engineered alien technology take off, and they fly through the tunnel that leads to a portal in the end.

After the landing doors close and seal us inside one of our drop ships, we sit down.

“Tower, this is Bravo one, request permission for take off.” The pilot says,

“Permission granted.” Tower says in the radio, “Good luck, ladies and gentlemen.”

Our drop ships take off, and we head off to the portal. After our ships fly right through the portal, and then into another world, our human forms turn into our pony forms with our nano suits and robotic arms. Surprisingly, Faust was a white Alicorn with red mane.

“Wow! I did not see that coming.” Nick now Firefly says,

“That’s the way I am.” Faust says,

Our drop ships emerges out of the tunnel near the mountain near Canterlot. We’re now in Equestria, which looks almost apocalyptic.

Mary shakes her head. “I just hope that everypony made it back alive.”

“Yeah, I do too.” I say,

As human fighters engage several alien ships around Equestria, and other drop ships land on each alien base in Canterlot and the Chrystal Empire, our drop ships move towards the devastated Ponyville, and lands safely into the main street.

We stand up as the doors panels open, and we trot out of the drop ships. The drop ships then ascend up to a thousand feet, and then they move out of Ponyville.

Twilight and the others regroup, and they’re surprised at what did Faust transformed. “Oh my Celestia! You’re an Alicorn?” Fluttershy asks,

Faust nods.

“Well, Faust you lead the way.” I say,

Faust points towards the forest on the other side of Ponyville. “Let’s head that way.”

“Okay, everypony, stay close.” I say, “We don’t want to get left behind.”

“Got it, Brandon.” Red says,

We follow Faust down Ponyville towards the Everyfree Forest.

This devastated town was quiet, and there’s no sign of life in the area.

“I’m sure the Cakes are okay.” Pinkie says,

“Me too.” Sugar says,

“It’s just like three years ago while I was struggling to stop Starlight from changing history.” Twilight says,

“Well that doesn’t look like after Changelings ruled Equestria.” Spike says, “If they developed highly advanced technology like this.”

“Psst!” Someone in a female voice says, “Over here.”

We stop and turn towards the building where the voice is coming from, but there’s nopony here.

“Did you hear that? Applecrisp asks,

“It sounded like survivors.” Applejack says,

“Let’s get a closer look.” I say,

We walk into the building, and there’s no one here until a pink Unicorn with purple and teal mane, and a cutie mark that resembles a purple and white star with two blue glimmering streams trots out from behind the counter.

“Starlight? What’re you doing here?” Twilight asks,

“Discord, Trixie and I are visiting Thorax, but when these bipedal Changelings attacked the hive and killed off all the Changelings except Thorax, he and the rest of us run from the attack. They’d developed technology that is far more powerful than magic. I try to stop them, but they’re immune to any spell.” Starlight says, “And who are these new ponies? And those are nice suits you guys are wearing.”

I trot over Starlight. “Saurian Rex. That’s my name.” I give Starlight a hoof-shake. I point to Mary. “This is Mary Rose...” I point to Firefly, “Firefly...” I point to Sugar, “Sugar Cookie...” I point to Applecrisp, “Applecrisp...” I point to Red, “Red Sprite...” I point to Faust. “And Lauren Faust.”

“I’ve heard of your before, but I’d never met you guys.” Starlight says, “And why’s there another Alicorn with you here?”

“Well it’s a long story.” Faust says,

Pinkie walks over the refrigerator. “And these Changelings are from another world.”

“What?” Starlight says,

Before I’m about to tell Starlight about this, Pinkie opens the refrigerator, and dozens of balloons pop out of the refrigerator.

“Seriously? Who put those balloons in the fridge?” Sugar says sarcastically,

Starlight rolls her eyes. “Of course.”

As the refrigerator is cleared of all balloons, we see a head of a horse with a deer antler on the right, a blue goat horn on the left, one long fang, different-sized pupils, a snake tongue, a goat beard, and white bushy eyebrows.

“What the...!?” Mary gasps,

“Discord?” Fluttershy says,

The head speaks with a sense of humor. “Sorry I’m late. Well let’s see who’s here.” He glances at Faust. “Lauren Faust. Good to see you again. It’s been so long since before this attack.” He glances at me. “Hey, I remember you. You’re the Stallion who saved Canterlot from the aliens, and then they started to attack us.”

“How’d you know that?” I ask,

The head disappears, and then a creature with the same head as the one from the fridge, and a body of a snake with a right arm of a lion, left claw of an eagle, a right leg of a lizard, a left leg of a goat, a right wing of a bat, a left wing of a Pegasus, a horse's mane, and a dragon-like snake's tail with a white tail tuft teleports in front of me.

I startle of what am I looking at a strange hybrid creature.

“Sorry. Did I scare you?” Discord asks,

“I’m sorry, it’s because of... never mind.” I say,

“You see, my mother, Abbas, told me about this sixty-five million years ago.”

“You’re talking about during the KT extinction event?”

“Yes. I didn’t realize that Chrysalis was one of the dinosaur killers until during the attack.”

“They attacked my home planet along with Equis.”

“You mean you’re a human?”

I nod. “Well it’s a long story.”

“Let me guess, Twilight transported you here?”

“I didn’t, but Mary did.” Twilight says, “We came here to find the Staff of Harmony.”

“The Staff of Harmony? You mean like the one that my mother is using it to watch both Earth and Equis?”

I scratch my head. “I guess so.”

“Where’s Thorax and Trixie?” Applejack asks,

“We’re right here.” Someone from the other room says,

A tall colorful insect-like male Alicorn with orange antlers, and a dragonfly-like tail, and a blue Unicorn with white mane and a cutie mark that resembles itself as a wand swinging a blue swirl, trot out of the room.

“Whoa!” I say in amazement, “What are you? Some kind of... giant pony dragonfly?”

The tall insect-like pony laughs. “No. I’m King Thorax, but you can call me Thorax, and this is Trixie.”

“I thought Eusocial animals only have queens, and--”

Mary laughs. “Saurian, Thorax is actually the alpha. Reformed Changelings don’t need queens.”

“Good point.”

“So do you guys know what is going on?” Trixie asks,

“It’s a very long story, but I know what these things are capable of, and we need to find the Staff of Harmony in order to stop this invasion before my people are extinct.”

“You mean like they’re... aliens?” Thorax asks,

“Yes.”

“Why didn’t Chrysalis told me that!?”

“It doesn’t matter. These aliens are controlled by the queen, and if we kill their mother, all will die without a hive mind, and the invasion is over.”

“Killing Chrysalis!? Why?”

“Because she killed off the dinosaurs sixty-five million years ago. We can’t convince her to surrender or to leave, but killing her will stop the invasion.”

“And get some payback!” Twilight says,

Discord was reading a newspaper. “Well for saving you guys two years ago...” his newspaper disappears. “We’re coming with you.”

I turn to Faust in confusion, and she nods. “Well, I guess we could bring an ally.” I say,

“Yeah!” Discord, Thorax, Starlight and Trixie cheer,

We reach to the edge of the Everfree Forest. It looks dark, and strange.

Fluttershy shivers.

“Keep it together, sugarcube.” Applejack says,

“Everyone, stay close.” Faust says, “The forest is filled with strange creatures.”

We walk through the forest while following Faust.

I look around the trees as I hear strange animal noises. “I’m sure the forest is not that dangerous.”

“As long as we don’t stick together, you will never get out of this forest alive.” Faust says,

I turn to Twilight. “Twilight, can I tell you something since you’re as smart as me? What’s the fauna of this place?”

Twilight replies, “We you see...”

Just then, a small creature with a head of a chicken and a body of a theropod dinosaur with bat-like wings emerges out of the bushes. That’s a Cockatrice!

“Cockatrice!” Twilight shuts her eyes follow by the others except me and Faust,

“Faust, close you eyes.” I say as I shut mine,

“Trust me.” Faust says,

I took a peak. The Cockatrice turns at Faust, and then stares at her eyes. Nothing happened.

“Huh?” I say,

The creature turns at me, and then it stares at my eyes, but then nothing happens to me. The Cockatrice looks confused, and it tries that again, but no effect.

Suddenly, a cat-sized Camel Spider with tiny eyes emerges out of the bushes, and the Cockatrice turns at it. It tries to turn the spider into stone, but there’s no effect. The spider then jumps onto the Cockatrice, and overpowers it.

The rest of my group open their eyes, and they watch a giant camel spider attacking a Cockatrice.

“Spiders! Why they’d have to be spiders.” Mary says in fear,

The spider breaks the Cockatrice’s neck with its pincer-like mouths, and then it drags its prey into the bushes.

“Is that a Camel Spider?” I ask,

“That, my friend, was a Blind Weasel Spider.” Faust replies, “They have poor eyesight, but they can sense vibrations to track down their prey. They’re Cockatrice’s natural enemies.”

I smile knowing that every small but deadly animals have natural predators.

“And how come the spider is immune to its deadly stare?” Kelly asks,

“Cockatrices’ ‘stare’ can only work on animals with good vision like humans, but it doesn't work on animals with poor vision even if they’re blind.” Faust says,

“Are they poisonous?” Sugar asks,

“Don’t worry. They don’t spin webs and they don’t have venom.” Faust says, “Moving on.”

We continue to follow Faust through the forest.

“And how come you and I didn’t turn into stone?” I ask,

“I’m a human, Saurian. And since humans are from outside of this world, they’re immune to any magic in Equestria.” Faust says, “And with Meld inside of you, Twilight and your team, you can be immune to any spell in Equestria.”

“Phew!” Starlight sighs, “It’s a good thing I will never cast a spell on you.”

Twilight glares at Starlight.

Starlight smiles nervously. “Right. Sorry.”

We emerge out of the open area where there’s a large structure made from the Arcturians, and the entrance was guarded by tall humanoid robots with teal eyes, and they’re equipped with hard-light rifles.

“Whoa! Look at the size of this place.” Applejack says,

The robots turn at us, and they make unearthly beeping sounds.

I’m about to shoot them, but Faust lowers my weapon. “Don’t be alarmed. They’re not our enemies.”

Just then, a small sphere shaped object we’ve seen from Abbas’s place shows up, and then it uses a scanner to analyze ourselves.

“Ooo! Pretty!” Pinkie exclaims,

The drone stops scanning. “You may proceed.” It says in a robotic voice,

The guards step away from the entrance as the door opens.

“See? I told you Arcturians are beneficial.” Faust says,

We all trot right pass the guards, and then into the structure.
