Did somebody ring?

”I can’t feel it!”

I spring out of my bed, and quickly zip my way out of the tent I rested in, “Shit, Olag, you better not be fucking up this early in the morning!”

I burst out into the campsite, only to have my armor be coated in a thin paint of blood, “Fuck, I just washed this!”

I look up to see what the blood is from. What I see is a chimera being torn apart by an Olag. Painless grabs the snake’s head, and rips it off. He uses this same head’s neck to choke out the tiger head. Then, he hits their leg with his mace, and tears off the leg, ”I can’t feel it!”

He brings the leg down.

*Oof!*

He raises it up again.

*Oof!*

He hits the last head a third time, smashing it in. His green skin is turned red by his prey, and my fucking armor is coated!

He holds the mace up in celebration, and laughs, ”I can’t feel it!”

I walk up to him, unequiping and re-equipping my armor to clean it. I finally stand at the chimera’s corpse, “Well, I guess you protected us.” I look up at him, “Good job!”

He gets a dumb smile on his face, ”I can’t feel it!”

I pat him on the leg, “Go ahead and take the rest of the day off. Your already level thirty, and I don’t think I will need you. Hopefully.”

He nods, and fades away. I wonder where they go when that happens?

Anyway, I have a body to deal with. Upon thinking, I decide one blast of Yol should turn this all to ash.

”YOL, TOOR, SHUL!”

Yep, turned to ash. And most of the blood is gone as well!

Karma up! You protected the ponies from the chimera that would have killed them. Good job!

For this deed, you have been gifted a new power! If you wear a costume, you will become the thing you are dressed up as! So, please, don’t dress up like a rock. I know Nightmare Night is this week, but really... don’t dress like a rock.

Huh, costume changing? Sounds powerful, and I think I have the perfect costume in mind.

I hear the tents rustle, and out come the ponies and Max, he signals out, ”What happend?”

I turn around to them, “A chimera attacked, No-Pain ‘took care’ of it.”

Fluttershy looks around, “But if he took care of it, why is there blood?”

I hiss in a breath, “Well, um, he didn’t take care of it, per say, not like you do. He ‘took care’ of it like the Mafia would a betrayer, if you catch my drift.”

She tilts her head curiously, “With a nice soup, and plenty of bed rest?”

Oh Karma, why do I have to describe this to her, “I guess I’ll put it bluntly then. Fluttershy, he killed it, with a mace and its own heads. I burned the body so you wouldn’t have to see it.”

Fluttershy gets a look on her face, “Oh...” then she passes out.

I look around at everyone else, “Okay, I’ll carry her back to town. You guys go ahead with the tents, and I’ll wait for you.”

Rainbow flies over to me, having not used a tent and instead a cloud, “So, Kendrick, Nightmare Night is two days from now. What are you going as?”

I smile as I think about what I will need, “I won’t spoil the surprise, but I’m sure the town will love it.”

—(Back at Ponyville)—

“Doctor, I need supplies!”

“What for?”

“Nightmare Night.”

“What do you need?”

“Cardboard, black paint, and a human maniquine. And... an auto-extending umbrella.”

“What are you going as?”

“Just wait, and you’ll find out.”
