Chapter 1 True love
Load Full StoryNext ChapterCelestia's morning sun slowly ascended into the sky. It warming light slowly across and warming the land below. The suns light eventually reached the small town of Ponyville. Where the castle of friendship stood proudly. The castle was home to Princess Twilight Sparkle and her assistant Spike, the dragon. Inside the castle Spike slept peacefully in his room. But, he was not alone; for, beside him slept the king of the Changelings. His best friend and lover, Thorax.
The suns light eventually found its way into his room. It light stretching itself across his face. It made him groan a little in disappointment. Oh, how he wished he didn't have to wake up. But, unfortunately the sun light was doing it job. His eye's slowly opened and he was greeted with a beautiful sight. Laying just inches in front of him was his changeling-friend. It made him smile seeing him sleep peacefully. He looked so handsome and cute at the same time. He then gently kissed him on his lips.
“Wake up, my prince.” He spoke in a voice just barely whisper.
A smile stretched across his face as his eye's slowly opened. His smile made Spike smile and earned him another kiss. Which he returned; both of them moaned loudly as they deepened the kiss. Only to end rather quickly when the door to the room suddenly opened. Both of them yelled loudly as they fell of the bed.
“Oh, my Celestia!” Yelled a fully embarrassed Twilight; who- along with the two- had a massive blush on her face, “I'm so sorry, you two.” She quickly apologized as she helped the two to their feet.
Spike gave a groan of annoyance, “Next time knock, Twilight.” He said in a very annoyed tone.
Twilight had a guilty grin stretch across her face, “Sorry, Spike,” She apologized again, “It's just....I'm not used to knocking on your door. I mean.....you've never.” She was stopped by Spike pressing one of his claws against her lips.
“Don't worry about it Twi.” He said with a happy smile.
Three very loud growl's suddenly came from all three of them. It made all of them go quite for a few seconds; just before they all burst into laughter. With a sigh Spike walked past Twilight and headed for the kitchen. Where he put on his apron and started to make all three of them breakfast.
In another part of Ponyville a brand new bookstore had just been opened. Inside the store was a purple colored unicorn mare; with a light blue mane and tail. The cutie mark on her flanks was a book being shelved. Using her magic she quickly opened boxes that held many books. She had a nervous smile on her face. After all anypony would be nervous if they were opening their first shop.
“Come on, Open book,” She spoke in a nervous tone before opening another box of books, “Don't be nervous. You can do this. You can do this.” She continued as she shelved more books.
For the past few months she had dreamed of opening her own shop. That way she could feel a since of pride and independence. After all; she had to save up almost every bit she had to buy the building. It was also just sheer luck she had some bits left over to buy books for her shop. It was mid-morning when she had finally finished her work. Now, all she could do was wait till somepony walked in to purchase a book.
As she waited behind the counter; she found time to catch up on some reading of her own. She levitated a book onto the counter and started reading. The book she was reading was called “A broken love.”. A romance story of a pony who lost her lover. Only to fall in love with another. But, the one she fell in love with was not a pony. No, it was a dragon.
The more she read into the the story; the more it would fuel her imagination. She sighed as she reached the more romantic part of the book. The part where the two lovers shared the most passionate experience of their lives. She soon started to imagine herself laying on the table in the book. As the dragon crawled on top of her. Kissing and licking her sensitive neck. Just before he started to work his way down to her.
“Excuse me.” A male voice suddenly asked.
Open book gave a small scream of surprise as she looked up from the book. But, as soon as she caught sight of the male in front of her. She froze; not in fear, but in complete awestruck. In front of her stood a dragon. The dragon had purple scales and green fins on his head. She saw a nervous smile stretched across his face.
“I'm so sorry,” He quickly apologized as he tried to keep himself from laughing, “ I though you heard me come in.” He finished.
Open book quickly shook herself out of her trance, “Um,” She began as her mind tried to form the words she needed, “I'm sorry. What can I help you with?” She asked.
The dragon smiled happily, “Yes, you wouldn't happen to have the latest copy of “Home cooking Equestria” do you?” He asked.
“Section J, top shelf.” She answered quickly.
The dragon nodded and he quickly walked towards the location of the book. Open book stared at the dragon in awe and back towards the words in the book. She couldn't believe her eyes. The dragon in her store looked exactly like the one described in her book. His age seemed younger than the dragon, but, everything else matched him right to the letter. His purple scales. His green fins. His sleek body and the way his scales shined in the light. She would could have sworn that the dragon from her book; just suddenly came to life and walked into her shop.
“Who is this dragon?” She though as she scanned the dragons body. All the way from the back of his head; to the tip of his tail. But, some of her attention may have drifted to a certain area of his body. Just where his tail was connected. She released a small sigh as she continued to stare at the dragon.
She was broken out of her trance when he turned around and started walking to her. Book in claws with a happy smile on his face. Quickly, she hid her book and stood up straight. When he placed to book on the counter in front of her; she quickly rang him up and checked him out.
“Thank you, miss?” He began.
“Open book,” She quickly answered, “My name is Open book.” She finished.
“Spike,” He replied in a friendly tone, “Thanks for the book and nice meeting you.” He finished before walking out of the store.
“You're welcome.” She replied in a dreamy voice.
She could feel her heart beating rapidly inside her chest. She felt light headed and extremely happy. For far to long she searched for her perfect somepony. But, now her search was over. She had finally found him. Her special somepony. Well, more like her special somedragon. Yes, she finally found him. Her one and only true love.
Spike couldn't believe how lucky he was. Not only did the new bookstore have the book he was looking for. But, it was the hard cover limited edition. This copy had a special section in it. A section that feature around dating couples. As he walked he quickly found the pages he was looking for. He saw various sweet treats for couples. Delicious cakes, pies, even recipes for chocolate covered fruits. If Thorax liked his cooking. He was going to love it after he cooked a few of these delicious meals.
“Spike!” He heard the voice of Thorax call to him.
Spike looked around and soon saw his changeling-friend waving at him. He smiled and quickly approached him. Giving him a quick kiss on the lips as he greeted him. Some of the ponies around them smiled happily at their romance. While others -mostly jealous mares and a few stallions- looked on in envy of the two.
“What did I do to deserve you.” Spike said in a dreamy voice as he gently stroked the side of Thorax's face.
“I could ask you the same thing,” Thorax replied as he gazed lovingly at the drake in front of him, “I'm so blessed to have you.” He finished.
“As am I dear.” Spike sighed as the kissed again.
Once their kiss ended Thorax released a sad sigh, “Why must I return to the hive today?” He spoke in a voice filled with sadness.
Spike chuckled a little, “Thorax, you know I'll be visiting soon.” He finished with a chuckle.
“I know,” Thorax replied with a sigh, “But, I'm going to feel so lonely until then.” He finished in a very cheesy sad voice.
“Drama king.” Spike said.
“Only to you,” Thorax said before he moved closer to Spike and started to rub his body against his, “My big, strong, handsome, and sexy dragon.” He finished making Spike blush.
“Thorax, not in front of everypony.” He said as a large blush appeared on his face.
“Get a stable!” Some random stallion yelled.
“Lucky.” A random mare whispered under her breath.
“Celestia, I wish I could buck both of those studs.” A random mare and stallion said to themselves.
Now both of them were blushing. Some were laughing at what the stallion from earlier had yelled. But, if they had the hearing of both a dragon and a changeling. They would have heard the other stuff that was said. Almost immediately the two separated from each other. Said their goodbyes and went on their ways. But, just before Thorax was out of sight; he turned around and blew a kiss towards Spike. Who caught it happily and blew one of his own back towards him.
“Celestia, I love that changeling.” Spike said happily as he walked back home.
“Scarab, I love that dragon.” Thorax said happily as he flew back home.
