Two days later

I'm eating the apple LightSpear gave me and he's right this is very hungry work. The reason I haven't eaten it till now is because I felt somewhat guilty about eating it.

But I mean it's just a dumb apple right?
I don't know, but for the past two days I have been bonding with the day time pony.

He's actually really cool, we've only ever hung out when my shift ended and his shift was begin or vise Virsa. We just talked about how boring being guard is and what we would really like to do in the future, I figured out he wants to move to Ponyville and I don't really know why, it's a pretty boring village but I mean, beats being a guard right?

I should get him a apple to right? Just to give him something back to say thanks.

It's only right...Ugh I'm trying to give myself something to think about, other than that horrifying dream I had.

Why was he dead? Or maybe just injured your something, it's giving me a headache to think about it.

I sigh and decide to have a little walk around the Castle, mostly because one I'd technically be patrolling the exterior of the castle and Id be able to clear my head, so I start just walk around, feeling the night time in my soul....it's very peaceful.

As I walk around I hear what sound like heavy breathing... painful sounding breathing, like somepony is holding on to life.

Somepony must've gotten hurt.

I trot over to where the breathing is coming from and to my horror.....It's LightSpear...

"MEDIC NEEDED WE HAVE WOUNDED!!" I burst into the castle doors and two guards noticed and heard me loud and clear. And they nob and the unicorn canters and the bat pony flies along side with him.

I fly back to LightSpear, and he's still breathing thank Celestia.

What the hell happened to him?! He's a guard! Guards have the best combat training, and he looks like he could take on 3 ponies if they'd try to mess with him...but he looks so beat up...

He has bruises everywhere...and his left wing looks badly twisted, probably broken, and he seems to have been cut up pretty badly a pretty bad cut on his left cheek...his armor is lying near him but it's not on him.

Why would his armor be off?

Oh Celestia I hope he's okay....

"We got a medi- oh my...Celestia..." she says looking down at LightSpear in shock.

"Jeez...That's a lot of blood." One of them says as the medic walks between them over to light spear.

She examines him and she turns to the two guards, "Get the gurney...I'll do what I can with what I have, but we need to get him to the medics station fast, now go!" She says sturnly to the two guards.

They nod and go back into the castle to retrieve the gurney.

" And you!" She says pointing her hoofs at me "How do you know this Stallion." She ask her horn levitating a stephicope to her ears and attaches the hearing end to his chest.

" I uh...met him yesterday and as embarrassing as it is, I met him when I had to help him find his hood shoe in the dark"

"Wow that is embarrassing." She puts the ...Heart listening thingy to his heart I don't know what it is!! "His heart is beating pretty fast...he must still be in shock of what happened." She says levitating bandages
And wraps around his fore leg cuts, and the white bandages turn red as they tighten around his foreleg.

"So what happened?" She asks me.

"I uh...don't really know, I just...Found him like this.." I say and she looks at me with a accusing look.

"I-I didn't do this I swear on Celestias mane!" I says backing away from the possible dangerous Nurse.

"Hmph, well see when he wakes up." She says as the two guard return with the gurney and I help lift his body into it, as me and the other bat ponies fly him to the Medical station.

"..." he just keeps breathing in and out slowly... I hope he'll wake up soon...I want to know who hurt him so I can do worst...But what could I do to somepony that did something this to a full grown stallion, a guards pony at that.

We're suppost to have extremely good combat ablilies...What ever got to him must be pretty strong.

"Mr.Axe?" I hear the nurse say.

"Yeah?"

"I have some pretty bad news for you."

"What is it?"

"Through examining his body, I discovered he had a pretty deep stab wound and he lost quite a lot of blood...He's lucky to be alive, you stay here I have to get his medical records." She walks out of the medical room.

"mmmmph..." I hear him make a noise as his eyes twitch slightly.

"light spear?...Hey are you okay?" I says as I shake him slightly and he jumps and started screaming at me.

"NO!! GET AWAY FROM ME!!!" He says backing away but then noticing it was me and saw that he was in the medical room...and that he's in a lot of pain. "Ow huh?...where?...Where am I?" He says looking left and right then at me.

"oh it's you.." he says looking away.

"Yup, the nurse is gonna be back soon...When I found you, you were pretty beat up." I said, and that's probably very obvious.

" yeah...I know..." he says as he turns to me.

"So mind telling me what happened?" I asked him.

"None of your business!" He says getting pretty defensive, so much for shy.

"That's not nice to say to somepony who saved your life." I say sheepishly.

"I would've been fine!" He says trying to raise his wings but the one with the cast and make him flop back down on his flank.

"I beg to differ." I say smirking.

"....hmph." He pouts and looks away from me.

"...I just want to know because your a pretty big pony, and I want to know who's strong enough to take on a Big stallion like you."
I say and he looking at me with a blush.

"...I didn't know who they were...But they were strong, I couldn't even hit back, I could only block until my forelegs got to cut up to even move..." he says looking at his hooves, and I see his eyes begin to form tears.

"...a-and...it happened so fast and...All the blows and cuts kept coming and coming."

"Hey" I put a hoof on his shoulder, "I've heard enough, don't put yourself through the whole thing again."

"Y-yeah...It was really scary..."
He says, obviously shacken up about what just happened.

"I'm back with LightSpears condition." The doctor says as her yellow magic aura surrounds and levitated check board.

LightSpear whips his tears, and looks at the doctor, "How is he doc." I ask as he sits down on his belly, not wanting to put anymore pressure on his soar forelegs.

"Well he has a broken wing but it will be back in flying shape in 3 months, his cuts are fine and his bruises should be gone by a month and 2 weeks, and the stab wound will heal with due time it may depend on how you treat yourself, now...You" She says walking in front of me.

"Take him to his room." She said to me.

"What!?" Me and light say in unison.

"Look ma'am I'm fine, I don't need to be excorted by any pony." He says trying to stand but he wabbles.

"See? You can barey stand without wabbling, I'm sorry but you have to have somepony with you." She says as she walks out leaving the check board on the table and she keeps the door open.

"...Shall we?" I say to LightSpear.

"...Let's just hurry." he says starting to limp out of the room.

"As you wish." I say walking right behind him.

Thing is...This whole thing that just happened was just a dream to me...but now.

It's all too real.
