Night Fang And Loki

With the sun high in the sky and it's light shining bright, Loki woke from his slumber at the light penetrating his eyes causing him to yawn and stretch and try to come to life, with a look at the alarm clock, Loki, while being careful not to wake Adagio from her sleep, slowly removed her arms from him, he decided to change into some clean clothes and go out for a walk in the street towards a local café that was open at 8 in the morning.

With his ear pieces in and music playing full blast, he didn't know where his feet would take him as Loki matched the rhythm of the song he was listening to while dancing in the street before heading to Sugar Cube corner for his coffee and ice cream.

Inside

Walking through the door of the establishment, Loki noticed the 5 girls from school sat at their usual spot and decided to grab his Extra strong Coffee and Orange ice-cream from the counter and pay Mrs. Cake behind the till before sitting by himself. When one of the girls spotted him, it just happened to be a certain pink haired girl who was trying to surprise him. And fail.

"Hello Pinkie."

Pinkie pouted at her failed attempt to surprise Night Fang's younger brother who couldn't help but smile at his friend. She couldn't help but ask.

"How did you know it was me?"

Loki could only shrug. After getting into a conversation with Pinkie about anything and everything random, he eventually joined the girl's table with his ice cream and coffee in hand, he was greeted by the girls until Rainbow pointed out.

"Ice cream for breakfast?"

Loki replied to Rainbow with another shrug before answering.

"Yea, it helps after what I heard my brother shouting last night, so I left the house early today to avoid any awkwardness".

They're eyes widened at the revelation before Loki looked at his new friends with a sad smile.

"He has the worst nightmares does my brother, and it scares me"

Fluttershy was the first to offer comfort by giving him a hug, before the others could hug Loki, the café door opened to reveal a very panic stricken Night Fang, who had walked straight over to the table where his brother was.

"Thank god you're alright, you had Adagio all panicked Loki".

Loki laughed at the thought of a panicking Adagio making Night Fang smile at Loki was thinking before he noticed the girls

"Hey everyone."

He got a multitude of hellos before he sat with them but they edged away slightly making Night Fang feel hurt at the motion before clearing his throat.

"We got off to a bad start and I wanted to say I'm sorry for making any of you feel uneasy, it's just I'm very protective of my little brother around girls after what happened back home.”

They nodded in understanding, well Aj and Rarity did since they had a siblings of their own. Night's world soon turned upside down and sour. When a purple haired girl walked in the door of the café, she spotted the girls first, but as she spotted the tallest boy, her heart shattered like glass before the group recognized her straight away, Night Fang however, prayed it was just the name of someone over than the girl who was called that. But what the 5 girls had shouted confirmed his fears.

"TWILIGHT!"

Night Fang froze. When he slowly turned round to face the new presence, he quickly turned back around to avoid eye contact with Twilight Sparkle. And boy, did she take notice of Night Fang not wanting to be seen by her, but not at first as she addressed the girls.

"I missed you girls too..." sees Night Fang and Loki "...Hello boys, long time no see.”

At this friendly greeting, Loki looked up from his ice cream and his face lit up brighter than a Christmas tree at the sight of Twilight.

"BIG SIS."

Twilight beamed. The fact Loki still remembered her after all this time, as the boy jumped up and hugged her making her smile happily at the gesture as she rubbed his hair merrily.

“Look at you all grown up and handsome. Has it really been that long since I was teaching you magic back in Equestria little moonstone?”

Loki nodded eagerly. Night Fang however, was more hesitant to approach the mare turned teen. Twilight noticed this, as she watched him slowly get up from his seat to face the girl in front of him. Who in turn looked at him with a slight anger in her eyes at the guy in front of her.

"Twi..."

Slap

Just like that, the mood changed, Loki clung closer to Twilight with tears in his eyes before Night Fang's head snapped forward as his fangs started to show through, he soon calmed down as he glared down Twilight as she looked down towards Loki who was still clinging to her for dear life at what just happened before looking back to Night Fang and indicating to the door of the establishment.

"Shall we?"

Night Fang nodded, this was going to be a long day for the both of them.

In Night Fang's Car

The silence was deafening in the car. Twilight was sat up front with Night Fang, while Loki was in the back seat humming Maroon 5, which was playing from his ear pieces. Taking this as his cue, Loki pulled the ear buds out of his ears and decided to break the ice between the two.

"So why are you here Twilight?"

This question caught her off guard, When she gave her answer the best she could, Night Fang stared straight ahead at the road, trying his best not to listen to the girl in the passenger seat. Until she brought up Sunset Shimmer.

"I'm here by request of Sunset Shimmer regarding your brother's violent behavior last night".

Night Fang's eyes widened, catching Twilight's attention, while she did continue, she noted the shocked look from Night.

"She informed me that your brother had been shouting in his sleep and showing an almost feral violence by thrashing around when she tried to calm him".

At that Night Fang sighed with a deep sadness before speaking up to catch Twilight's attention.

"That's the reason we had to leave Equestria with Uncle Discord, Twilight, me and Loki were bitten by Predator back in that frozen wasteland and we had to avoid telling you we'd been bitten otherwise you would have drove us out along with everyone else that found out".

Twilight looked at Night Fang with hurt in her eyes

"You know you took my heart with you when you left."

Night Fang nodded sadly, he had been dating Twilight in Equestria before escaping to the other dimension, but he had moved on while she hadn't. He knew it was all his fault and he knew it for not confiding in her in the first place.

Back Sunsets Place

As Night Fang's car pulls into the drive way of Sunset's home, they find Adagio stood at the door with her arms crossed in anger making Loki shrink into his seat in the back as the colour drained from his face making Night Fang laugh until he saw Sunset Shimmer stood waiting on him and Twilight.

"Oh boy, this should be good".

Night Fang got out of his car with the two passengers he had in tow as Loki walked over to a fuming Adagio while Night Fang walked over to Sunset Shimmer with Twilight.

"Sunset Shimmer, it's good to see you again" Twilight announced happily as the two friends hugged but while the three talked between each other, Loki had walked off from Adagio who was trying to get him to come back earning a raised eyebrow from everyone present including Night Fang.

"What, the doofus started it" This comment earned her a death glare from Night Fang which made him wish he was still a unicorn so he could vaporise the siren, but at the glare she gulped as she got into Night Fang's car and waited for him so they could retrieve Loki.

"Night"

Sunset began. As Night Fang turned to her with a raised eyebrow as he was about to walk over to his car.

"What is it Sunset?"

Sunset sighed before walking over to him and holding his hand, when she felt comfortable, despite the blush, she began speaking again.

"Don't be too harsh on her ok, you may understand it, but she's new to the whole romance concept".

Twilight watched how easy Sunset had tamed Night Fang, by just by being calm with him, this caused her to regret not being firm with him when they were dating. Watching on, Sunset let Night get into his car and drive away from the house before the bacon haired girl turned to a grinning Twilight causing her to blush heavily.

"We aren't dating, I swear"

Twilight just shrugs with a smile before entering the house with Sunset in tow.

With Night Fang

You could cut the silence with a knife. Unlike with Twilight, it wasn't as tense with Night Fang and Adagio sat in complete silence in the car. Adagio really wanted to say something, but she couldn't. She knew Night Fang was an intimidating presence and one wrong word would spell disaster. As she sat leaned against the window of the car, Night spoke up.

"What we're you even arguing about anyway Adagio?"

This question from the male, was an attempt to calm the tension in the car, it worked, as Adagio looked to Night Fang with a tear in her eye before she spoke with a shaky voice.

"I thought he had vanished this morning, I panicked and I shouted at him, now he's mad at me."

Night Fang had to stifle a laugh. It soon became full blown laughter, which shocked the girl in the passenger side seat. Night Fang smiled warmly at Adagio at how new she was to his brother's emotions.

"What's so funny?!"

Night Fang smiled knowingly again as he pulled up outside a convenience store and 6 minutes later came out with 12 tubs of Orange ice cream and some Blu-Ray DVDs and placed them into the back seat of the car before getting back in to the drivers seat and heading to the local comic book store with Adagio wondering what Night Fang was planning on doing.

“Give it five minutes, Loki will phone you, don't worry, he is never mad for long, plus he loves his ice cream after a big blow up”.

Adagio nodded as Night left her alone in the car to her own devices, five minutes later, her phone vibrated in her pocket as the muffled sound of "All Star" played against the seat of the car as she quickly pulled her phone out and looked at the caller ID causing her eyes to widen before quickly answering.

"Loki?"

"Speaking"

Adagio sighed in relief as she continued speaking to Loki before asking.

"Where are you?"

In the store

Loki was stood browsing with comics in one hand as well as being torn between picking Mutant Sharks: Revenge of Megaladon or The Little Giant: The Big Adventure and his phone in the other hand speaking to Adagio while Night was looking at the mature section as he looked at one comic titled 'Sunrise Avenue'.

"I'm in the comic book store with Night Fang, we're just getting some comic books, why where are you Dagi?"

"I'm in Night Fang's car, come to the window and you'll see me"

At that, Loki looked towards the store window and sure enough, there was Adagio waving to him, motioning for him to come to the car as she hung up while Loki just smiled and shook his head with a smile as he walked back to Night Fang with his stack of comics in hand.

later

As they reached the house after having a laugh in the car, Night Fang noticed Twilight and Sunset dancing around with microphones in hand from where he was looking.

“What the heck?”

As they entered the house, the three looked absolutely dumbstruck at what they had walked in on. They watched from the living room door their 7 friends on rock band until Rainbow Dash spotted Night Fang, Loki and Adagio from her spot on the guitar.

"Hey guys"

As the song came to an end, Sunset and Twilight high fived at a job well done until they noticed Night Fang smirking at them causing them to blush as bright as a tomato as he walked towards them with the grin still plastered on his face.

"You girls have fun?".

Upstairs

The bedroom door creaked open announcing Adagio and Loki's entry into the bedroom but once they were in the room Loki sighed unhappily, he had something on his mind.

"Adagio, there is something...there is something I need to ask you".

Adagio, who was stood at the window sighed at Loki's question before turning round with her eyes half lidded as she slinked her way over to him before sitting on his lap and putting her arms round him in a side hug and starting to kiss his neck as she spoke seductively.

"What is it babe?"

Loki felt a cold chill run up his spine at the tone her voice used but he had to compose himself and ask the one question that had been bugging him in the car ride back from the comic book store, he needed to ask but dear Celestia, the way she was moving on him, damn she so inviting, Loki gulped as tried to speak.

"Is this...us, real to you or just a game?"

This stopped Adagio dead in her path of kissing Loki's neck, she really wanted to avoid this one question as she sat at the edge of the bed with Loki but as she took his hand Loki looked at her dead set causing her to sigh.

"Loki, my little sweetheart Loki"

Loki unlatched Adagio's arms from him and stood up in frustration causing her to look hurt by his actions

"See this is what I mean, how can I be faithful to someone who avoids my questions and doesn't even know what she wants from me".

Adagio stood confused as she placed a tentative hand on Loki's shoulder but he shrugged it off before turning to the wardrobe and getting his clothes out of there and placing them into a duffel bag beside the bed making Adagio worry.

"Where are you going?" Adagio asked in a panic but all Loki did was shoulder his bag before kissing Adagio quickly on the lips before exiting the door of the bedroom with Adagio begging him to stay.

downstairs

"Cold night tonight Twilight" Night Fang said with a shiver as he pulled Twilight in close for a hug before kissing the top of her head as she spoke.

"I can understand you've moved on Night, really I can, but it hurt when you just up and left without leaving a note or anything saying why you'd left."

Night Fang sighed at Twilight's honesty but he wasn't sure she'd have handled the truth well when they were teenagers.

"Sorry Twi, it's just, I was scared of what you'd say if you saw what I was"

"And that was your "feral" state"

Night Fang smiled as Twilight leaned in and hugged tight into Night's chest.

Car Engine Starts up

Twilight's ears perk at the noise of a car engine coming to life outside but one thing made her ask Night.

"Why hasn't your car alarm gone off?"

At that, Night Fang let go of Twilight to investigate the strange occurrence only to find Adagio calling for Loki while sobbing which to him sounded like

"Heartbreak, Oh god Loki, no"

Night Fang's big brother instincts kicked in as he knelt to Adagio's level and pulled the girl into a warm hug as she accepted it gratefully before the others watched the scene unfold as Night Fang asked the all important question to the crying girl.

"Adagio, what happened to Loki this time."

The girl wipes her tears with her palm before mustering the best answer possible to the concerned Night Fang.

"Loki set me free".
