'Little pony you just never cease to amaze me with that creative little pony mind of yours, but I can't wait to see the look on your face when it's MY turn!' Adagio thought as her fiance walked down the aisle in the most stunning drop dead gorgeous wedding dress she had ever seen worn by anyone in her years living on this planet.

Adagio out of the three sirens had the best eye for fashion, trends, high society and fancied herself a romantic of a high caliber and one wouldn't think that accusation wrong because it was really true. Adagio Dazzle was a SUCKER for romance and love; had anyone been paying attention really during the battle of the bands they'd know that's all Adagio really wanted, it even showed in their songs back then.

The only problem was she went about getting the love and adoration she craved so greatly the wrong way. She'd for years she'd lost count of caused chaos, strife, distrust, discord and a whole long list of negative emotions and situations among the human race and even before then when she and her sisters roamed Equestria feeding on the negative emotions of its little ponies all she ever wanted really was for the ponies to love and admire her even if she wasn't a pony like they were. In the beginning it really wasn't her intent to cause chaos and discord but the power trip she got from taking in the energy only pushed Adagio and her sisters further into the darkness which lead to their banishment at the horn of Starswirl the breaded and his band of friends.

Now there was a name that was still a sour subject for Adagio and the other sirens but only because they would probably never get a chance to say they were sorry to the old wizard for causing so much harm. With a somber sigh she tried not to focus on the past and what she used to be. She stood here, now; ready to be married to the most wonderful little unicorn Equestria was foolish enough to let run away from home. As Sunset strut her way down the aisle with her worlds version of Celestia in toe who wore a fittingly sun themed wedding dress with accents of gold and white throughout however it was nothing in comparison to the blazing ball of fire that she was giving away to the siren.

She was dressed in a dress befitting of name and the time of day it currently was, Sunset. The colors of red, yellow and orange all flowed throughout the dress and as it went down her body it looked much like a fiery and feathery like pattern as Sunset had taken a liking to the motif of a phoenix feeling it very symbolic of herself and the struggles she's faced and the sort of 'rebirth' the magic of friendship had given her. Adagio found it adorably poetic and kept her eyes locked on Sunset as she walked down the aisle with a yellow veil over her beautiful face, her hair done into an artfully stylish wedding style ponytail with actual phoenix feathers placed in the back of her hair and her veil and she held in her hands a bouquet of flowers that matched Adagio's hair color with flowers the colors of orange and yellow mixed together and around her neck still hung her red geode of empathy.

Out in front of them and close behind them were the most adorable little flower girls they could have picked for this occasion. The daughter of Shining Armor and Cadence from both worlds who were now at the age of five were dressed in little flower child dresses resembling sunflowers as they walked and tossed petals across the aisle for Sunset to walk on. Adagio cooed and swooned seeing them as they were just so damn adorable however even with that Sunset was still the most stunning of her and the entire time her voice kept her captive.

Adagio LOVED smooth jazz and R&B, their band as it was even now was very multi-talented in its vocal range because many of the girls had the ability to sing many different types of music. Adagio and Sunset were two of the few who could do it all; even rap even though they weren't as good as Pinkie, Rainbow or Aria. This song Sunset was singing was one Adagio had once used to describe how she felt about Sunset during valentines day which just so happened to be Adagio's favorite holiday and her birthday when synced with the Equestrian calendar and it made sense, her whole thing was about adoration. She swayed in place at the alter allowing Sunset's words to reach her ears and she grinned happily to see she'd finally gotten into full view with the setting sun as her backdrop.

Upon saying how fine Adagio was, everyone took a look at the siren and she struck a salacious and sexy pose in her wedding dress and blew a kiss at her approaching fiance.

Adagio could remember long hours at her job checking her phone secretly texting Sunset while she was in class or at work herself, unable to keep herself away from the little pony she adored so much and never once did Sunset call her clingy or annoying for always wanting her attention. Sunset in fact loved giving the attention and receiving it in return.

She had Sunset had been roommates for some time now and she always greeted Sunset one way whenever she came home from a long day at work or school. By running right up to her and giving her a full body hug, smooch and love tackle which was the equivalent to a pouncing in Equestria which was a common show of affection between two mares who were intimate.

It was as Sunset reached this part the song, getting much closer to Adagio as she passed through the asile with everyone watching and many crying at how beautiful the scene was; her magic powers activated with how joyful and happy she was at this moment. Her geode shimmered a glowing red light and her pony ears manifested themselves atop Sunset's head and her ponytail grew out in length. With the sun setting it set the sky on fire with colors of red, orange and yellow splashing perfectly together and one would think as Sunset walked forward that she was setting it herself with her voice alone. Celestia truly was foolish to let this one go but her loss was Adagio's gain and while the sun princess might not have exactly 'approved' of Adagio at first given their...ahem...'history' she soon came to accept Adagio as Sunset's beloved and the two had a mutual respect for one another even though the two often butted heads but that was typical, Celestia was basically gonna be her mother-in-law.

It was now that Sunset came face to face with Adagio and Celestia had at last let her go with a proud if not cheeky smile at Adagio. The two nodded to one another in mutual respect and Sunset continued singing, finishing off her serenade of the siren she was soon to marry beneath the light of the setting sun with two goddesses as her witnesses as Princess Luna had arrived as well. She had come as a plus one with her own date, Princess Twilight whom Sunset had picked as her best maid since she was the one who helped begin her path to redemption which lead her here with Adagio. The Princess of Friendship had arrived a wee bit late because she had to comfort and consul her big brother along with Sci-Twi whom were both sobbing messes.

Meanwhile Sonata was doing the same thing with Aria Blaze whom despite her attempts to act tough and stoic couldn't be happier for her big sister and how beautiful all this was but even still she cursed and rambled as she cried her little tsundre eyes out.

As the music ceased Sunset's pony transformation continued on as she willed it to, standing in front of Adagio and allowing her emotions flow out, the energy of which Adagio gladly took in as she breathed slowly as she looked at Sunset with a kind and loving smile and couldn't wait to see her beautiful face that was hidden behind that pesky little veil. The rest of the rainbooms would take their seats and Cadence smiled as she cleared her through and channeled her magic to amply her voice.

"Friends,family; from here,near and far, far away; thank you all for joining us here today to celebrate the union of Sunset Shimmer and Adagio Dazzle of Equestria. Love is a powerful emotion, one that binds the mind, heart and soul in so many different ways; music is a powerful force as well, able to sway us in ways normal words cannot, able to make us feel emotions in ways no one person or group of people can; these two things are what brought these two lovely ladies together and now beneath the light of the setting sun they shall speak their voices loud, proud and with all the love they can muster from the depths of their hearts and souls as they are united as one."

Adagio had taken that as her cue and she turned to Sunset whom turned to her in tandem, she wasn't allowed to lift the veil just yet and the anticipation to just kiss her was killing her but she was a very patient siren, the most patient of the trio in fact so she could bare the wait just a little bit longer. Clearing her throat she didn't practice any vows as she felt it best to speak from her heart in the moment and she was sure that Sunset had done the same.

"When I was first banished here 1000 years ago I kept thinking to myself 'How could this have happened to me? ME?! All I wanted, what we wanted; was to be adored like we deserve!' and now more than ever do I realized how vain and selfish that was of me. There is so much in this world that I regret, choices I've made many of which I am not proud of but of all of it? The one thing I'll never regret? Is crossing paths with you Sunset."

Adagio smiled and chuckled weakly as the tears began to form in her eyes as she continued to speak. She remembered back when she first made the realization that she was in love with Sunset Shimmer but was still too prideful and down on herself for all the bad she'd done to do anything about it. She felt she didn't deserve someone as good as Sunset, that she; Adagio Dazzle wasn't good enough for the little pony. Sunset had made sure to not stop kissing her until she proved her wrong about that on that day when Adagio had poured her aching heart out to Sunset.

"There was an old legend in this world, about a man who gained the power to fly; yet he flew to close to the sun and perished. For so long I felt that's what it was like for me, that you were the sun and that if I got too close to you that I would get hurt or that I would hurt you. But you sure proved me wrong; and look at us now? We stand here beneath the sun itself as it sets upon this world and even when its gone into the darkness...the sun will still shimmer in front of me; because I have my little pony here with me and while you may not be a princess to anyone else? You'll always be a princess to me"

Adagio said with all her sweetness and genuine affection which got an 'Awwww' and many powerful sobs out of everyone in the seats watching. Most of the crying coming from those who'd already been crying and a few new weepers like the entirety of the Rainbooms especially Rarity who was complaining about her make-up running as she fanned her eyes with aid from her Equestrian counterpart.

"I used to think this world was the worst and that I couldn't wait to go home to Equestria but now? " Adagio sniffled and chuckled as her tears freely fell and ran some of her make-up. "Now? There is no place I'd rather be; I love you Sunset Shimmer, now and forever; you'll be MY little pony" Adagio declared officially in front of everyone and this made Princess Celestia start bawling to which princess Luna began to comfort her big sister.

She was also excited because now Celestia owed her 500 bits since they bet on who would be the first to cry at the ceremony. Even Princess Cadence was finding it hard not to burst out crying as she took a few deep breaths and fanned her eyes after wiping them with a hankie.

Adagio smiled in satisfaction when she saw tears roll past Sunset's veil and she could see that she struck all the right cords, she always did say Adagio had a way with words when she was being genuine in her words. After taking a moment to calm herself Sunset Shimmer found her voice and began to speak.

"When I had first left Equestria, so many thing were going on in my bratty little head. I kept thinking 'I'll show Celestia, I'll show everypony I'm ready to be a princess' little did I know? I was still no more than just a petulant child with a dream she had no hope of achieving as long as she kept herself so blind. All I really wanted then was power, or so I thought. I wanted the title of princess not just for the power it came with...but the adoration it came with. Celestia is looked upon as a goddess, everypony wants to be her, to love her, to learn from her; I was lucky enough to be her student, the be loved by her like a daughter and yet I spat in her face and ran away because she didn't hoof me what I wanted when I asked."

With a small sigh she continued on. She had long since had her reunion with Celestia, the two having cried long and hard in one another's hooves for quite some time when they'd first seen each other for the first time in nearly a decade and Sunset had lost count of how many times she screamed 'I'm Sorry' and 'Please forgive me' to Celestia in that moment.

"When I came here I felt like I was so high above everyone else and I used my cunning to make people miserable because I was miserable and consumed by my own greed and ambition and then one day? A certain purple princess comes along and botches things up along with her friends and a puppy" Sunset said with a giggle not sounding the least bit bitter about how Twilight and the other girls kicked her butt and put her in a carter with a rainbow laser.

"After that very big rainbow colored reality check? I changed for the better, I did my best to help others, to be a better person and redeem my past sins; and that's when three big bad sirens came to our school under the guise of wanting to have a friendly music competition." Sunset lightly teased Adagio and Adagio giggled and blushed a little bit. In her defense the plan was very much rushed and she was winging it for the most part because she hadn't seen or sensed Equestrian magic in centuries.

"I'll admit you had us all by the cherries; you even had me doubting myself and our ability to win but when you all had begun to overpower my friends and I was forced to step in to help stop you? I had hoped that I wouldn't have to become a monster again to defeat you all and I didn't. The magic of friendship trusted me, it imbued me with the power I needed then and perhaps always needed to help the girls defeat you and save everyone and I had thought that was it for you and the sirens...but I couldn't have been more wrong." Sunset said with a slight bit of somber in her tone as it still hurt a little to think about how she found the dazzlings almost a year after the battle of the bands, broken, alone, starving to death and no one to care about them.

"When I finally had found you three I knew right away what I needed to do; I knew it wouldn't be easy but I knew I had to at least try. Hehehe you were especially stubborn. 'I don't need some little pony's help!' you screamed at me but of course I wasn't having any of it. While resistant you finally gave in and came to live with me and well...heheh I can say for sure you made my life a lot more interesting from that point on. You taught me so many new things about music and history, I helped you learn and understand true friendship and then together? We formed a love that can out dazzle the brightest star." Sunset said with every ounce of sweetness she could manage to bring out of herself , her tears still falling but she let them.

"I count you among the many blessings given to me in this world Adagio and I wouldn't trade you for anything, not even all the power in the world can match how much I love you; and here, now; with the goddesses of love, friendship, Sun & Moon as my witnesses? I promise to always love and adore you for all my days; now and forever you'll be my dazzling siren. I love you Adagio Dazzle" Sunset finished and this was enough to make Cadence start crying as she had to take a minute to compose herself. Along with her Princess Twilight started crying and in the crowd her friends and band mates in the rainbooms began to bawl their eyes out too. As Cadence began to calm her crying she dabbed her eyes with her hankie still and her voice hitched.

"B-Bring th-the rings" Cadence said as little Equestia Flurry Heart walked up and handed the rings to them on a plush pillow that was woven by Rarity. Each girl would take the others ring and Adagio would now be allowed to lift Sunset's veil. Reaching forward she would take the edges and lift them up and over her head tossing it to the back of her hair revealing her beautiful face. Even streaked with tears it was flawless and beautiful with that charming smile still in place. Teal eyes kept themselves locked on Adagio's ruby red eyes as they looked at one another completely lost in each others gaze and Adagio was the first to speak.

"With this ring, I promise to love you for all of our days, I promise to love you in good times and bad, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health; till death do us part till we meet again in the great fields of Elysium." One wouldn't think Adagio the religious type but everyone had their secrets about them and while she bowed to no God she did in fact believe in life after death. As she slipped the ring onto Sunset's finger she smiled throughout it all and said the five words she would never get tired of saying.

"I love you Sunset Shimmer."

Sunset's voice and breath hitched as she started to cry some, her damns beginning to break but she would stay strong and say her vows. Composing herself quickly she took a deep breath and found her voice and began to speak from her heart.

"With this ring, I promise to always be by your side, to love and adore you as much as I can and more; to be with you in good times and bad, for better or worse, in sickness and in health and till death to us part till we meet again in the next life where I will love you even more in our eternity together." Sunset said with eyes full of tears as she slipped the ring onto Adagio's finger and held her hand and gave it a tender squeeze and even kissed it which was the straw that broke the camels back for Adagio especially after Sunset said.

"YOUR little pony loves you, Adagio Dazzle" Sunset said and this shattered Adagio's mask of composure and she started crying as did principal Celestia, Vice principal Luna and just about everyone and everypony else who wasn't crying yet. After a good minute allowing herself to calm down Adagio wiped her eyes and the two turned to Cadence so they could say the two most important words in this ceremony. The princess of love would turn her attention to Sunset Shimmer first.

"Do you; Sunset Shimmer of Equestria, take Adagio Dazzle of Equestria to be your lovely wedded wife, to love and to hold in times good and bad, for rich or for poor, in sickness and in health and till death do you part?"

"I do" Sunset said with full confidence and a crying hitch of joy in her voice.

"And do you Adagio Dazzle of Equestria; take Sunset Shimmer of Equestria, to be your lovely wedded wife, to love and to hold in times good and bad, for rich or for poor, in sickness and in health and till death do you part?"

"You bet your plot I do!" Adagio said with slight tease and her winning grin as she made the princess and many others laugh in order to break up the tension just a little bit. Nodding Cadence motioned them both to turn to one another and she spoke once again.

"As the sun sets upon this world as these two have spoken their vows of love, I ask if anyone has a reason these two should not be wed, speak now! Or forever hold thy peace." Cadence scanned the entire crowd for any poor soul who would dare try and deny these two their happiness and was very much glad that Auntie Celestia had come around to Adagio when she did because she was certain in the beginning that she would be the one to try and stop this union but luckily she was very wrong. With a smile and nod she looked back at the two brides.

"Then by the power invested in me as the princess of love? I hereby prononuce you wives! You may now kiss!!" Cadence said as she prepared herself to break down crying again as she remembered when she had this moment for herself back in Equestria with Shining Armor.

The two didn't need to be told twice, dropping their bouquets of flowers they embraced with Adagio wrapping her arms around Sunset's back close to her waist and Sunset wrapping her around around the back of Adagio neck and hung off slightly as the siren leaned into her and their lips met in loving passion the likes of which no one had ever seen. It wasn't wild or frantic but simply put? Full of love. Everyone cheered and golden bells rung above them, the wind blew and whipped their hair around and the flower petals on the arch they were under scattered in a flurry around the two as they shared the longest most love filled kiss they'd ever shared together.

As they ended their kiss a single thin string of saliva connected them as they both took a moment to catch their breath and look lovingly into one another's eyes. They both felt like this moment was perfect and that they wanted to make it last forever though Adagio had a little surprise of her own for Sunset; one that would surely have the pony girl a sobbing happy mess but at this point that's what Adagio wanted.

Giving a small cue to her sisters and the rainbooms in the crowd, they'd picked up their instruments again this time with Aria and Sonata providing vocal support. As the melody of the song came on Sunset's eyes shot open wide with shock and surprise and quickly filled with so many tears she could swear she'd gone blind as if she'd looked at the sun for too long and thought 'Oh Dagi you sly siren you'

Adagio remembered back to when Sunset first taught her this song and how many times Adagio had sung it or hummed it to herself in private whenever she needed a boost of motivation or confidence whenever she was feeling down or guilty about her past. Music had always been a way for her to cope and Sunset had been a big help in getting her through that time without her singing voice.

Back when she first found out she had been made human that's what scared her the most. The future and what was to happen next, it was unpredictable and now she had to worry about things like death, sickness and the like. But Sunset had always told her that 'If you always spend time worrying about what might happen, you'll miss out on everything that is happening; life is much more fun when you just let things happen and don't always try and have control.' Words she still lived by to this very day and it showed with her understanding of this song, one that Sunset had come up with right after the battle of the bands and she'd gotten her magic back.

Ambition

Is what I believed

Would be the only way

To set me free

For so long she had been convinced that her ambition and drive to get back to Equestria would be enough to plow through any challenge thrown at them and that ambition would strengthen her resolve, Adagio didn't like being wrong but she was very glad that in that instance she was very much wrong. Her ambitions were not only misplaced but they were malicious and those kinds of ambitions always fail. But now? Now she had a new ambition, to be the dazzling gem to Sunset's shimmering sun.

But when it disappeared

And I found myself alone

That's when you came and got me

And it felt like I was home

Back then when Sunset took her in she remembered all the good times she had with the pony girl. The sleepovers and study sessions in history, the parties both public and private, the late night gaming sessions or nights out clubbing. Adagio had made a best friend in Sunset Shimmer and then Sunset had made a wife out of Adagio; the universe worked in very funny ways.

It was as Adagio finished the song that she had undergone her siren transformation and grew her wings and pony ears much like Sunset had. She looked the crying little pony in the eyes and smiled charmingly at her, lifting her chin with a lemon colored finger she leaned in close and said.

"C'mere and give your siren some sugar; Princess Shimmer" Adagio didn't allowed Sunset to reply and simply locked lips with her again and allowed the pony girl to melt into the kiss slowly as she closed her crying eyes and let her dazzling kiss her for everyone to see but she didn't care, all she cared about in this perfect moment was her siren, her dazzlings, her wife; Mrs.Adagio Shimmer. She had no problem taking on Sunset's last name, her own last name was merely a title bestowed upon her by the council of Aquaria and while Sunset Shimmer didn't exactly have a good history with her actual family? She still valued her last name and would make it her own without them.

Adagio was glad she never met them because from how Sunset spoke of them? They didn't sound like the 'friendly' type or at the very least her father didn't sound all to kind from what Sunset's accounts were. But right now? To the darkest pits of Tartarus with them! Adagio had her little pony and that's all that mattered. As their kiss ended once again, Sunset had calmed down a little but was still crying but she didn't seem to mind, she smiled at Adagio and took her hand as they turned to the crowd and prepared to walk into the sunset together. The reception party was to be held in the ceremonial Hall and from there they would go home which is where Sunset's next surprise would come in.

Hand in hand they smiled proudly now happily married and they walked back down the aisle with everyone cheering and giving congratulations on their union each throwing rose petals above them as they passed down the aisle with their hearts, minds, body's and souls now united as one under the setting sun.
