"What is it you needed me for?" said an old raspy voice. He was a large white earth pony stallion that looked underweight, his ribs visible beneath his alabaster fur. His eyes were a dull lifeless blue, his eyes having a black outline and a very light shade of grey around his eyes like patches. The stallion’s ears were pointed at the tips, that flickered slightly. He had a wiry mane that looked as if it hadn’t seen a brush in eternity, though it was the same grey as the tired patches around his eyes, his tail being the same as his mane. his flank was as blank as snow, which was common for gods.

Before him was a mare. Her mare flowed beautifully, whenever she moved the image of her mane did as well, as if they were x-ray goggles for a wall with the universe behind it. Millions of stars, galaxies and universes could be seen in her mane and tail, the sight being breath taking. Her fur was white as well, but unlike him, she had large lustrous wings and long horn. The sclera of her eyes were red, her pupil/iris being a smouldering sun. On her flank was a very detailed image of a black hole that looked as if it was a screen videoing a black hole. it wasn't a cutie mark, but a small window to her domain. She wore no crown, but had shoes on her hooves with red rubies.

"I have looked into the future, my old friend." her name was Last Legacy, the Goddess of Time. She knew all that had been and what would be. Whenever she summoned a fellow god, it was something they had to do to ensure the most fruitful future. She gave the instructions, but there was always a chance they'd muck it up. The events that'd happen afterwards would always end up weighing on their souls "You have a very important role to play in nine thousand years... You, are to birth a god."

"I cannot create gods, nor can i destroy them," He sighed, sounding as if he'd never slept. In truth, he hadn't. Death never sleeps "I can merely transfer a soul to the afterlife, or make a deal with them to the mortal realm that makes them wish death." Last legacy nodded to him. Ah, so he was supposed to remove the soul of a god and give it to someone who dies. That wasn't a very good idea. He tried that once, nearly lost his own soul in the process.

"You will be met with a Draconequus, you are to give him the soul of Cosmo Skies, whom will be met with his end by the Mistress." Cadaver didn't come across them very often, but they always managed to amuse him, even the douche bag ones. They were more entertaining than ponies and dragons, they just soured his almost permanent frown. They seemed to freak out when they meet an earth pony with the symbol of death on his flanks. he wondered why? "My friend, you must tell this being something. 'he extends his lion paw and creates a god of white with a heart of black, then extends his griffin claw and creates a god of black with a heart of white'." that made little sense, but then again she rarely made sense "You must return my friend, for someone is waiting for you..."

she watched him leave and sighed. Cadaver was going to be met with another friend of theirs, his life ended by the Mistress. she saw so much pain, such pain and misery. Last Legacy had yet to see such pain in time since the first Divine War. she prayed that the souls woven into this tapestry of sadness can reach happiness. there were so many turns in this road that she was not sure what was more likely to be true.

"be strong my lost souls, keep hope true within your heart, for only with faith can you reach felicity..."
