Book 1: Foundation of Equestria
Saga 1, To be a Princess: The Graceful Master (Point of View Chapter)
Previous ChapterNext ChapterI’m the master, a monster, a lot of things. Why I chose the term ‘graceful’ I shall never know. It doesn’t matter. for a very long time I’ve been planning this, I’ve been collecting my pawns for this great game of life. I don’t like how fools compare the game of life as chess, when it’s anything but. in fact, it was more like cards. It was about strategy, luck, and a whole lot of cheating. It’s only wrong if you’re caught. In the game you have four aces, but i? I had collected seven. My plan wasn’t absolute, I left it loose enough to change when something unexpected happened. Like the Nightmare Forces. They were so easy to manipulate i might as well have been napping while I did it.
What I’ve thought up would play out over ten thousand years, building up my opponent’s deck before I start to tear them apart. My greatest weapons happened to be my opponents. They were all playing into my hooves. I might as well walk up to them, tell them what to do, and they’ll do it. there was always the chance i'd fail but thanks to Medianoche being so forgiving, he’d probably give a light sentence.
After watching the fight between the Umbrum and the gorgon Aladjinn, I became interested. My Nightmares can’t manipulate something like that, but I could. He couldn’t be possessed, but he could affect his family without knowing it. I do wonder what’d happen if he released all of that pent-up feelings from within? Something to test for later.
I opened a screen before me, watching a mare called Apple Pie. I needed her. she was obsessed with Draconeqi, and I needed those two to come together to create an important mare. An old friend gifted me with visions of the future. I could only do it once every three months, but immortality had that perk. I had seen a lot, and i had planned as carefully as possible. I could feel myself grinning. There was a lot to do, a lot to prepare for.
Roame wasn’t built in a day, but I did destroy it in one. that was what I was doing. Building up Roame only so I can tear it down. A lot would find this, strange or pointless. Ah, but nothing is truly pointless. To believe such is naïve, and it makes you foolish. Even just doing something, that has a point to it. action. Everything had a point, no matter how minor. My creation and destruction of these characters were going to be expertly crafted. I need them to be shaped and moulded to better suit me in the future. all of my servants will serve me well.
Cacodemon Coney The Patient Wrath, Romeo The Corrupting Melody, Catrina The Unheard Watcher, Tsekani The Fast Silence, Salvador The Sanguine Mamba, Gigasari The Elegant Assassin, Dust The Hollow Warden and the few that are yet to be born.
Cacodemon has been my right paw/hoof guy for around sixteen centuries now, not leaving my side during any of it. a ruthless little bastard, I liked him for it. I actually held some semblance of respect for Cacodemon, his black heart near as dark as mine, which was so dark it had yet to have a name. I’d enhanced his body with curses and hexes to the point he can’t die by normal means.
Romeo was an accidental find, but his skills were incomparable, he would be important very soon. He tried to corrupt me with his magic flute and ended up becoming one of my aces. He still tries sometimes the sneaky goblin, and I inwardly applauded the bravery it takes to dare think about, let alone do.
Catrina was my spy, she was also my poisoner, a very attractive and sadistic bitch, her lust for causing others pain was a little arousing if I must be honest. The Abyssitire was very good at what she did, enjoying every moment. She had poisoned the Forgiving Shadow Medianoche, and he would as his name entailed forgive her. forgiveness was a stupid concept. One I never really believed in.
Tsekani was silent and quick, he could find out nearly everything just by having one conversation with you, I being the only exception to this skill I required. That and he’s artificially created accidently, he felt nothing and didn’t care, a Mannulunculus that would duke it out with the Living Statue. Two beings who were dead on the inside, both made accidentally, only the one that was actually alive could bleed while Tsekani couldn’t. I checked.
Salvador… I, there isn’t enough time in the day. He’s supposed to act the somewhat trusting fool. On his own, he’s straight out of an action book series. With others? Just what I needed. He’s got trades going on in the underground, filled with dark people that too bent to my will easily. I could almost clap out how devilish he is when he has someone with him to reign back that childishness of his.
Gigasari was my creation. It doesn’t have a gender, nor does it have pronouns. It is technically alive, as I infused it with many souls, but only I knew it was. it was able to shapeshift into anything, like a changeling, but it could do so much more. Things that didn’t need to be known yet.
Dust. Oh the fool. Dust is an accident to the laws of nature itself. I was actually surprised by his existence when I found him, something I treasure. Surprises are short and scarce for me. he used to be a unicorn, but he was murdered, and refused to die. He somehow refused Cadaver, escaping into a half alive half dead state. I did my magic on his body, and now it’s solid, a puppet for his soul to manipulate.
Each of them had a part to play, I just needed to lay my cards right. i cackled as i watched over the birth of hundreds and hundreds of nightmare soldiers. the future was indeed going to be grim, and fortunately for me, it was going to be lost of fun. This was a game I would not lose, for victory was already in my grasp.
"Let the games commence."
