Celestia trotted down the halls of the castle she'd been residing in. She didn't like it, but she needed to stay somewhere. Luna loved it, and she didn't like that either. Luna was spending too much time with the large mare that visited them daily, telling her things that contradicted everything mommy told them. But do you know what was even worse? She called the mare ma. MA! It was the greatest insult to their mommy there ever was! It was like when daddy and mommy were fighting, they argued but they were still heir parents.

She stopped as she bumped into the leg of someone. It was thick and long, so not the prankster Starswirl. It felt, different to what she'd walked into before. The rainbow stallion was meatier than this, but it did have the mares blackness. Celestia craned her neck up, looking at a very strange stallion she'd never seen before. He was, well, a stranger!

The stallion was large, like everyone around here. He was as black as the mare Celestia refused to refer to by name. He was much like the rainbow stallion, but he wasn’t rainbowy. The stallion had two massive wings much like the mare’s, though with a lot more feathers. He had a horn that curved upwards a tad, the tip sharp. His ears curved backwards, the points like the tips of spears. His mane flowed around him like a dark cloud awaiting the chance to strike someone with its lightning, the same being said for his tail. What struck her must were his eyes. They were thinner and squinted than anyone she’d ever seen before. The sclera was a pale yellow, while his irises were a smouldering amber that burned like the sun. His whole body was like it had been chiselled from black marble, everything almost perfect about him. And he scared her.

He looked down at the filly who'd walked into him, recognising her as the filly he'd heard his grandfather and sister-in-law talk about. This must be Celestia, the one the Goddess of Order abandoned. She had her coat, but nothing else. Skiadrum rose a brow as she suddenly looked ready for a fight. he could still see her fear, yet, she was trying to hide it behind determination. impressive. everybody feared him, so to see this small herbivore standing up to him caught his interest. ponies were mindless weak creatures, and yet his whole family excluding his mother loved these creatures.

"I am Princess Celestia! i demand you to state your name and reason for being here!" she was very prideful as well it seemed. Skiadrum watched her continue to glare as if she was his commander, which was slightly amusing. he showed no emotion to her, upsetting her further. she stopped her hoof, the stallion not even flinching a cell at her. she charged her horn with a bright gold, trying to use a big powerful spell like daddy could. the result was Skiadrum suddenly gaining a goatee stuck to his chin. the surprise made a few fur strands stand up, but nothing else. her magic was pathetic, but she was very proud she'd managed to do something. even if it makes him more intimidating.

"I am Prince Skiadrum." she jumped back, figuring out this was likely one of the four foals that belonged to the Mountain King. The prince looked down at the filly, reaching down and biting at the scruff of her neck, picking her off of the ground. She squirmed and yelled against the action, but he didn't let go. Skiadrum just walked outside of the castle and dropped her into the garden, watching her reactions to everything. From what he knew of ponies, their names had something to do with their destinies, the butt tattoos they called cutie marks. Hers was likely something to do with the sun. Celestia Morningstar, it was obvious. So obvious it hurt. She blinked, shaking as the large stallion was talking, he barely even blinked when talking to her, his face never changing emotion.

"I-I'm Celestia Morningstar!" he didn't react to her, and it irritated her to no ends. He was surprised how brave she was, but he could see past her mask. There was turmoil, a flurrious tempest raging within her small innocent heart. She was brave, afraid, angry and sad. Skiadrum struggled to feel emotions. When he was young, he used to bury all his feelings down when he was yelled at for being too emotional. Now it was instinctual to bury all down, so far that he rarely got a taste of what feeling he was supposed to feel. It used to be scary, but the emptiness had become disgustingly comforting. She was trying to bury it all. Even for an emotionless bastard as he, he wouldn't allow others to fall to a similar fate.

"You have great rage within you heart that you must let go, for it will eat you alive like Mammalzon Piranhas..." that was the most he'd said today. Strange. That was the best way to describe this. She took a step backwards, looking up into Skiadrum's dead yellow eyes. They were so empty and devoid of life it made her believe he was a zombie! "I am what you will become, if you refuse to face these feelings... You feel the burning fires of hatred and the storm of confusion." she didn't want to become him, she liked the feelings of happiness. daddy said her eyes glowed like the sun when she smiled. "You have many questions... Why is this happening? Where is mommy and daddy? Daddy isn't really dead is he? am i alone? why won't this pain go away?" he said with monotone.

Celestia couldn't hide anything from him, something in her burning soul was telling her it was no use. his dead gaze and state like face caused her fur to stand on end, her ears drooping and mane stopping to wave. it was, uncomfortable to bear witness to. she could become that if she held onto these feelings? but, she couldn't let them go, could she? his voice was, a little soothing despite being monotone. she looked back into his yellow depths, not able to find a sliver of life in them. it scared her, but she stood proud.

"You shouldn't tell me what to do!" his eye twitched, the movement frightening her as it seemed he didn't even blink. he did, the staring was just too intense for her to tell. her wings ruffled, biting her lip. he scared her and she didn't know how he could even do that by doing barely anything "sorry. how do you do it, huh? live with that blank expression on your face? i've seen leaves with more personality than you!"

"That fire is burning your soul from the inside out. is this what your father wanted?" she flinched again "No, he wouldn't want that. Cosmo is dead. no ifs or buts about it little filly. he's gone, never coming back. your mother is never coming back either. she left you in that house for two weeks during a storm with your dead father rotting in the bathroom with most of his chest torn open." she wanted to throw up as his monotone put images in her head. she shook her head, crying hard "He. is. gone. you must make do with what you have, or you will end up like me." he opened his wings, beating them against the ground "You will feel empty, dead even, and you would see a filly taking those feelings for granted thanks to her own stubbornness to accept the painful truth."

he took to the skies, leaving Celestia all alone. alone with her thoughts, and her pain. Skiadrum didn't go far. he landed atop a cloud and watched her, seeing her pacing and talking to herself. he had been harsh, but he didn't know how foals worked. he barely understood cubs his own species. she would have to learn that to be a leader, she had to stop acting like a big baby and get won with it. she was young yes but he'd been sent into a war at her age. Noche De Neón didn't exactly do very good with him, since at the time he left Crepúsculo Radiante to care for him... his father still regretted it to this day to let her raise him all on her own. thanks to her very strict style that had turned her into a puppet when she was a cub, he was like an empty vase everybody feared. all except this filly. she was stubborn as most ponies were, but he would be willing to give her that she wasn't one to give up. a trait he secretly admired since many were cowards these days. maybe. just maybe, this filly can make him tolerate others again?
