"Hello? Can you understand me?"

I was surrounded by blackness in all directions and the voice I just heard sounded quiet and far away.

"uuugh," I moaned.

"Good you're waking up, if you can hear me I want you to give some sort of sign."

I nodded sluggishly, it was all I could manage my whole body felt like it was on fire. "Great, you're in a hospital I'm your doctor. Try to refrain from moving you have quite a few injuries and moving could rip your stitches. Can you talk?"

I tried to talk but I couldn't. "Don't strain yourself, being conscious is enough you have just over 200 stitches," the voice said. I moaned...again. "Calm down, it's all right," I tried to talk again but all I managed to do was pass out.

I awoke to a small amount of light shining in from behind a curtain. I soon got a whiff of eggs, I looked to the side of my bed and saw a small tray with some eggs on it. I reached for the eggs only to be stopped short when I noticed I was restrained. I rested on my bed for a few minutes trying to remember what happened to me and where I was I think I was in a hospital. The smell of eggs soon made it REALLY hard to concentrate. "Hello, doctor?...nurse?"

"Yes?" I heard a very cheery voice come from around the corner.

"Can you remove these restraints I'm getting kind of hungry."

"Sure," she said as she walked around the corner. I took this time to look myself and nurse over. The Nurse was solid white with a bright pink mane and tail. She had a picture of a red cross on her flanks. I however was a very dull grey with an equally dull blond mane and tail. We both looked pretty similar in body shape So I assumed she was a mare just like me.

"Why was I restrained?" I asked puzzled.

"You were tossing and turning in your sleep and the doctor restrained you so that you didn't further injure yourself, that must have been some nightmare you had."

Odd I don't remember having a nightmare, or falling asleep, or where I live...or my name.

"Are you alright?" she asked, noticing me staring off into space.

"I think," I said

"Do you want something else?"

"Yes, Nurse how did I get to the hospital?"

"Somepony found you by the Everfree, unconscious from blood loss."

"What's the Everfree?"

"It's the forest on the edge of town, it's a dark and mysterious forest filled with dangerous monsters of all kinds." she said with a concerned look on her face "Are you suffering from memory loss?"

"Yes," I said looking at the window.

"Anything else I need to get to a patient in the next room."

"One more thing, where am I exactly."

Her look of concern grew. "You're in Ponyville hospital. Do you at least remember your name?"

"No."

"Alright, well there's not much we can do for amnesia, but I can at least tell the doctor." She turned to leave, as she left I noticed her flank mark again. I then realized I didn't have one. I decided that it must be a form of ID so everyone knows she's a nurse, I didn't have one simply because I didn't need one.

Now that I was alone I decided to reach for the eggs using my magic. They were surprisingly good for having set out for Celestia knows how long...who is Celestia? Why would she know how long my eggs have been sitting out? "Hmm," I pondered aloud about just how much I could actually remember. It wasn't much. I could eat, sleep, and talk but that was about it.

I finished the eggs and decided to get some rest

Maybe if I sleep I can get something back.

I had a dream of falling. I fell for what felt like hours until I saw some strange light appear where I was falling. As I got close I could feel it catch me, holding me in its warm embrace like nothing I have felt before. I heard a voice start to say something but before it could finish the first word the light got REALLY bright and felt like it set my eyes aflame.

It was the nurse pulling the curtains open."Rise and shine!" she said in a way to cheery voice for this early in the morning fetching the food cart from the hall, she tried to gave me a small tray with more eggs( Is that all they served here?), some hay, and a glass of water.

"Thank you, but I'm not that hungry," I said

"Alright, if you get hungry just call for me or the doctor." The nurse then left the room. Leaving me to go back to sleep.

I've been in the hospital for about a month now and I have to say it was THE most exciting month I could remember having. Which said nothing as it was also the ONLY month I could remember having.

"Ma'am, are you ready to go?" the nurse said

"Yea, sure." What else was I supposed to say. The hospital needed a bed so I was basically being kicked to the curb with a pat on the back and a hearty good luck.

"This way then." We walked together and made our way to the door. I walked slowly not just because my legs still hurt from getting the stitches removed only 2 weeks ago but also because I didn't want to be all alone in the world. "Sorry." Redheart said as I learned she was called.

I stood there in front of the hospital for probably 20 minutes before I started to hyperventilate and freak out realizing I have NO idea where I am supposed to go from here

Alright calm down don't freak out just yet. I need to make a list of my priorities.

I sat down in front of the hospital planning out what to do and in what order.

First of all I need a place to stay and if I want food and to live I need money for that I need a job. Good, Number 1 get job, Number 2 find food, Number 3 get place to stay. That should be good for now, I can figure out what to do next once I have a roof over my head.

I set off towards the town Ponyville. passing every building looking for a "Help Wanted" sign, after about an hour with no luck I was getting tired and hungry. I decided to walk on at a faster pace. I was about to give up, not just because I was getting tired, but because I was running out of Ponyville to look in.

Near the opposite edge of town from where I started I found what I was looking for. A sign that read "HELP ALWAYS WANTED" underneath another sign that read "SWEET APPLE ACRES" I started down the path glad that I not only found a help wanted sign but one on a farm as well.

Once I got there the sun had set about 2 hours so I rushed up to the front door of the farm house knocking on it. hoping they hadn't fallen asleep yet. "Hello? is anyone home?" I asked. The door opened and behind it was a small yellow filly with a huge red bow in her hair. "Hello miss, is there someone I can talk to about the sign?"

"Yea, hang on," she said with a southern accent as she closed the door behind her.

A second later I heard " APPLEJACK SOMEPONY'S HERE TA ASK ABOUT THE SIGN!!" A few more moment later a mare opened the door.

"Howdy, the names applejack." her coat was orange and her mane a much brighter blonde than my own. Her mane and tail had red bands in them to keep the hair out of her eyes. She was also wearing a brown stetson.

"Hello, I'm here about the help wanted sign," I said with a smile.

"Uh sure, don't you have a name?" she gave me an odd look.

"I'm not sure really, I am currently suffering from severe amnesia."

"Sorry, I didn't know." her odd look was replaced by a one of guilt.

"It's fine, so do you have a job open still?"

"We can always use a extra hoof on this here farm, but uh, can't you come back in the mornin?"

"Sure...no problem," I said turning around slowly hanging my head. Well...Shit. Now I need to find somewhere FREE to sleep tonight.

"Something wrong?" Applejack said.

"No its fine, its just that I don't have anywhere to sleep."

"You could stay here If you need to. I mean you need to be here working when the sun rises anyway."

"Really? do you even have a room?" I asked as my head picked up

"Sure do It's upstairs, second door on the right," she said with a smile.

"Thanks, really." I felt compelled to hug her, but I didn't want to freak her out. I followed her instructions and found the room. It was small but it had a bed so I really didn't care I fell down on the bed and fell asleep almost instantly.
