Chapters Sunset sat on the edge and wept bitterly, her tears falling into the waters below, the still pond below her, beckoning her toward her final end, her thoughts on the ones who hadn't yet betrayed her, her silent apologies going out to those on the other side.
She leaped, the rope going taut as gravity reasserted itself as she fell shortly before stopping, a sickening crack echoing as the orange girls hands fell limply too her front, her hands bound, a ear too ear smile plastered too her face, her head disjointed as the fall pulled the invertebrate out of alignment, severing her spinal cord, her eyes still trickling tears, her body slowly swinging as a cold wind blew in.

Luna was out on her balcony, doing her favorite activity as she put stars in the sky, she eventually got to her favorite star, the shimmering yellow and red north star, it hadn't started out that way, but after twilight had gone on her mission to get her crown back, the star had burst forth with color and grew brighter until its radiance was enough to go next to the first one, the colors complimenting each other, until one day the star's light waned, its radiance still beautiful, but dimmer.
Luna noted that over the weeks its radiance waned, and flickered, like a dying candle, until today when she reached out to ignite it, it was gone, replaced with the dying heart of a star, Luna reached out, asking for what caused its premature dimming, knowing that there was only one way for a star like this to go out.
The dying star, the last consciousness of the one it represented, gave too Luna all that it could, its last moments telling Luna a story who's fate was worst then death, but Luna refused to let it die, so she took it from the sky, and put it in limbo, where it shall stay until she had the other piece.
With the star's heart no longer decaying, Luna looked to her sky and screamed, a heart broken scream, the scream of a mother losing her child, a sister losing her sibling, a primal scream one that shook the windows and rattled doors.
"SISTER WHAT HAPPENED?" Celestia cried, Luna's scream subsiding as she simply wept on the spot.
"L-l-l-look too the sky sister, is there a star missing?" Luna choked out.
"where is Sunsets star?!"
"Its gone out, Its light extinguished, but first we must tell Twilight, its last wish is that she finds out." Luna said, collecting herself, still crying her wings unfurling, but stopping when she saw Celestia simply stop and drop too the ground before slumping over, her hooves on her face, tears coming out as she silently wept, for she knew what a star going out meant.
"I'll go by my self then, I'll let Twilight know." Luna continued, before Celestia got up and unfurled her wings, taking off without saying anything too Luna, tears still cascading from her face.

Twilight was pacing, Sunsets last message was making her worried, the thought of Sunset who always had a strength in her, broken enough too Take her own life, it scared her, it scared her badly, but her thoughts were interrupted, as the sound of breaking crystal echoed through the castle, Twilight ran too find out what had enough impact.
"P-P-PRINCESS LUNA, PRINCESS CELESTIA WHAT HAPPENED?!" Twilight shouted, noticing the tears escaping Celestia and Luna's face
"Sunset shimmer is dead, her star went out, and we know who were responsible, the dying heart of her star told me" Luna said, watching as Twilight stop and sit, tears forming before it was too much and she let loose a scream like that of someone who is under going the pain of thousands in a single second, the sound causing every window in the castle to explode outward, but it wasn't just the castle, every building in ponyville had its window's blown out, by the force of twilight's canterlot voice.
"I TRUST THEM, I TRUSTED THAT THEY WOULD PROTECT AND GUIDE HER, I TRUSTED THAT SHE WOULD HAVE SHOULDERS TOO CRY ON TOO HAVE SUPPORT, BUT I GUESS I WAS WRONG, THOSE LITTLE FUCKING BASTARDS!!!!!!" twilight shouted as her coat and mane turned orange, the alicorn magic amplifying its transition until Twilight was no literally fire, Celestia and Luna made no move to stop her.
"sister, i can't believe im suggesting this, but Sunset died unfairly, it think its time to break a few laws." Luna said, giving her the knowing eye
"You know what, im tired of not being able to stop those i love most being taken from me, for this travesty, I'm going to send a message, one that will leave a LASTING impression."
As she said that, a third thump echoed behind the Burning form of Twilight, Cadence stood there, Look as though she had seen sombra return, a gaunt look plastered across her features.
"aunt Luna and Celestia, I felt a great loss, The loss of a loved one before it was time, I cant seem to find them in equestria." Cadence said.
"Sunset shimmer died, she was broken down too the point where she felt death was her only escape, by the ones she loved and the ones she trusted!!!" Twilight spat venomously .
Cadence being the second youngest alicorn, but the one with the least control over her magical center, Transformed on the spot, the hate rising in her heart taking shape as her pink coat turned dark red, her two Broken hearts replacing her crystal hearts.
"I AM HEARTBREAKER, ALICORN OF VENGEANCE!!!" heartbreaker called out, before turning her eyes on the others.
"You know why we allow you to exist, right?"
"too take vengeance on the ones who broke Sunsets heart."
Celestia smiled as she took down her defenses, her mane and tail turning into fire, her eyes becoming the black and orange, Luna tried not to recoil from the nightmare come too life, but she too was waiting to change, she wasn't afraid this time.
"welcome daybreaker, Alicorn of the unrelenting sun," Heartbreaker said, before turning too Luna and Twilight looking at them expectantly, Luna arched her back as shadow surrounded her, before it fell away, revealing the face of an old enemy, but twilight simply smiled, her thoughts discarding any pretense of hiding her hunger for vengeance.
"So my faithful student, you know that alicorn magic has a dark side, what is yours?" Daybreaker said, before Twilight's horn sparked with dark magic, her form growing and stretching until her wings were raven wings, but big enough to sport a alicorn.
"I AM MIDNIGHT SPARKLE, ALICORN OF BROKEN SOULS!!!" she said, the other's nodding

Starlight was half asleep when she hear a name ring out, one that she thought she would never hear, one that she thought was only a nightmare, she shook her head thinking she was hearing things, until she hear another name, the other one that she thought was locked in her nightmares.
"daybreaker, and nightmare moon, whats going on?!" she said out loud going to the noise, freezing in fear when she saw them in flesh and blood, but what scared her was when twilight transformed, her cutiemark turning into a fractured star, she heard her call out her name.
"I AM MIDNIGHT SPARKLE, ALICORN OF BROKEN SOULS!!!" she called out, the others nodding before the dark red alicorn saw her, Starlight was about to make a break for the door before she was covered in a gentle red aura, dragging her towards the group, the sounds of her hooves scraping fearfully against the crystal as she thought she was going to die.
"now what do we have here, a little eavesdropper, its not nice too eavesdrop on conversations." the red alicorn said, before gently putting her down in the center of the four.
"here, I'll show you what has transpired, now hold still." the dark alicorn said, as she touched her horn too her head, the memories of what Luna remembered up too this point filled her head, when she lifted away, Starlight no longer looked afraid, instead a gleeful smirk was on her face.
"Give them tartarus, make them pay for her death, show them why equestria hasn't been invaded since the war with sombra, make sure the effect is LASTING!!!" starlight encouraged
The four alicorns nodded, before Midnight sparkle brought forth the mirror, each one going through it, the magic of the mirror barely holding under the strain of four angry alicorn princesses who have take hold of their entire magic arsenal, protected by dark magic, going through it, into a world that isn't ready for its long over due justice.

"You're not done yet, you still got life left in you, so stay strong Sunset, be ready for the on coming storm, for you're going to play a major part." A voice called out from the void, Sunset's glowing soul not quite close enough to see the light as she was thrust into limbo.
It looked just like canterlot, but there was no one around, she shook the feelings of unease, looking around until she came upon a being wrapped in a cloak, dark as the night cold as death.
"Where am i?" She asked, not sure if this thing is evil or not.
"Limbo, Since someone out there are willing too subvert the rules of death and life, just to save you, but after seeing what caused you too do this, I cant blame you, though in a few moments, I'm about to become a whole lot more busy, but first though, my mission is too keep you here until the time is right." the being answered
"why stay here if there is a way out and what do you mean subvert the rules?"
"I mean that normally if a pony or human dies i escort them to their respective after life, but some one in your world made it impossible for me to do so and put you in limbo, with the intent of bringing you back."
"Oh."

Four extremely beautiful women wearing battle Armour stood on the night steps of canterlot high, they stood looking around before they turned to the school, joining hands before shooting a multiple colored beam at the front, blowing the doors off, then the beam shot out and up, causing the entire school too glow and explode, the four women looked pleased as they turned to the night.
"ready or not here we come humanity, your sin's will haunt you for the rest of you night." all four said as they took off, looking for Sunsets body, with Nightmare Moon guiding them.
It didn't take long too find Sunsets body, the skin where the rope clung bloodied, but it didn't matter as Midnight sparkle was the first too hold Sunset's body, renewed silent sobs racking her over Sunset's broken form, the others moving in and hugging her, but it was only a brief hug, for Midnight stood with Sunsets body, her eyes glowing.
"Collect the others, it's time that they understand what they wrought!" Midnight said, as she walked toward the ruins of canterlot high, charging up a long range teleport.
Daybreaker and nightmare moon nodded as their hands glowed, the worlds celestial bodies overlapping, bathing canterlot in a deep blood red shadow, this did not go unnoticed as on the other side of town, Fluttershy was awoken by worried night critters who tapped her window, before pointing at the sky then at where canterlot, usually stood.
"what do you mean I'm in danger?" Fluttershy asked, the gears in her brain slowly turning, before the animals frantically pointed too a purple flash heading towards the school, soon her hands were on her phone, sending a group text, minutes passed before a series of dings hit her phone, each of the girls asking what fluttershy was doing up at this hour and why she said they were needed at the school.
I dont know what the threat is exactly, but look at your window's

The girls looked out side and gasped, the town bathed in dark blood red, that got them moving as they threw on what ever they could find, before setting out for the school, they met up out side pinkie's, before turning the block.
"whoa, the school....... its..... gone!!!!" Pinkie pie exclaimed
"And here I thought that the others would have too track you down, but walking here of your own volition, this makes things all the easier." a familiar voice said behind them, cold as ice dripping with venom, this cause the girls to whirl around and look into the purple irises of a woman that looks incredibly familiar.
"Twilight..... is that you?" Fluttershy said, fearfully
"My name is Midnight Sparkle, Twilight is something only my friends may call me, back on my home world, and this is not my home world, besides a few friends of mine are dying too meet you." Midnight sparkle said as she raised her hand and shot a spark into the sky, answering sparks of gold, dark purple, and red shot up, before cuffs appeared around the wrists of the main five.
"HEY, WHAT GIVES?!" Rainbow dash yelled before Midnight yanked on the magical cuffs, forcing them forwards, leading them towards the ruins of canterlot high, but what shocked them was where the statue used to stand, instead a table sat with a certain flame haired girl.
"SUNSET!!!!" the main five cried, they wanted to run towards her, but Midnight kept a tight control on their cuffs
"go ahead, call out to her now that your pathetic lives are on the line." Midnight said, venom dripping from her voice.
They did, they called out for her to wake up, too wake up and save them from this nightmare, but nothing they said caused the girl to move or even turn her head.
"funny how she cant hear you, not where she is, but you would know that since ITS ALL YOUR FAULT." Midnight said, before whirling on the girls.
"what ya mean she cant hear us, she right there." Applejack said, pointing at Sunset
"oh her BODY is here, but she left that a long time ago."
"so what yer sayin is that Sunset is dead, did you kill her?"
"I didn't YOU all did, but murder's dont feel bad, do they?"
"now you listen here, ah didn't do anything to Sunset!!"
At that Twilight laughed, and she laughed loud, or more like cackled, because in an instant Nightmare moon was behind her, giving Twilight a questioning look, before Twilight nodded, Nightmare's hands glowed as she held onto Applejack's head as memories that weren't hers were forced inside her brain.

Nightmare moon dropped Applejack, before she wiped her hands on her skirt, and pulling a disgusted face, but that wasn't on Applejacks mind, instead it swam with all the pain and isolation that Sunset felt, all of it that came from her, the crushing depth of distance between her and Sunset just now became apparent.
"But Twilight, She was-" Applejack didn't get to finish her statement as three pre-teen girls were dropped onto the ground, they were in fact the human little sisters of Applejack, Rarity and the adoptive sister of Rainbow Dash.
"I found these little brats up way past their bedtime, They were using these vile devices to talk to each other, turns out they are this vile Anon-a-miss." Heartbreaker said as the three scampered away too hide behind the girls, each of them relived of their phones which Heartbreaker promptly destroyed.
"Apple bloom, is this true are you Anon-a-miss?" Applejack asked, hoping to humor the angry goddesses.
"Y- Y- yes, ah am." Apple Bloom stuttered out, her eyes dilated and staring into the blood red irises of Heartbreaker.
The world fell out from under her feet, the realization that Sunset had been telling the truth, nearly caused her to collapse, but it wasn't over yet because soon the others came too Apple Bloom's defense, each admitting that they had a part too play in the whole mess that was MyStable.
"Funny isn't it, the fact that children knowingly cost a another living being their life over petty jealousy, but the facts never mattered too you, did they," Midnight said before taking a breath and continuing "in fact you were happy too dismiss a friend the moment that the opportunity presented itself, her life never mattered did it?"
The girls were at a lose for words, the fact that they had been duped by their little sisters and it cost them a very dear friend, if they could even say that, the loss of her life was a paralyzing realization that cause them to clam up and forget any words they had, but they would soon have a lot too say because Daybreaker appeared with a smile, a predatory smile, the one that says that the person has a plan that will cripple the pawns in it.
"Dear midnight, lets play a game of hide n seek, they hide while we seek, the object of the game is Survival!!!" Daybreaker said, her voice dripping with fake honey.
"yes lets, in fact we'll give them a 5 minute head start, so that they can make peace with what ever time they have left." Midnight said, as the cuffs were dispelled and the girls ran, wasting no time, back too their houses, each one praying that the gods were watching, that they would some how make through the night.
Apple jack and rainbow dash ran, they ran for their very lives, who was pursuing them was still unknown, but it didn't matter, what mattered now was protecting their kin, whether blood or adoptive.
"*Huff* we'll make it, we'll survive *huff* " applejack assured her sister who clung to her back, frozen with shock and fear.
Apple bloom said nothing, but instead she looked up at the sky as a ray of sun appeared on the horizon, but instead of the sun approaching, it was a women who's hair seemed to be living fire.
"COME OUT, COME OUT WHERE EVER YOU ARE APPLEJACK, YOUR JUDGMENT IS WAITING!!!" she said, her voice booming over the city as they ran through alley's, staying off the streets hoping that she wont think to look.
The noise didn't go unnoticed as many of the residents looked out their window's and saw her there, most of the parents took their youngest and hid in the lowest parts of their houses, while the oldest got out their phones and were desperately called the only ones that they were sure could protect them, except for two adults, they took to their car, ready to defend their students.
It didn't take long for Celestia and Luna too reach the women almost made of fire, swerving their car too a stop as the building nearest too them blew outward, a massive plume of fire sending searing chunks of brick and mortar everywhere.
"WHO EVER YOU ARE, STOP THIS!!!" Celestia called out, getting the gods's attention.
"so, this is who I look like here, but it doesn't matter, because you wont stop my mission, neither you or the sad excuse for Luna." Daybreaker said, eyeing the two women up close.
"Lame excuse," Luna said indignantly, before puffing out her chest "I am Luna, i did not copy anyone else!!!" she said before a hand came from behind and spun her around to look into the vibrant green eyes of a women who had on armor that was so dark it seamlessly blended with the shadow's that spun around her.
"I beg to differ, for i am Nightmare moon, Sister of Celestia/Daybreaker, and we're here to avenge her student, WHO YOU HELPED KILL!!!" Nightmare moon said, roaring the last sentence as Daybreaker glowed with hate.
"We did not help kill anyone, in fact Twilight is very much alive....." Celestia said tapering off, as Daybreaker's hands tightened into fists as she spoke, until she was literally quivering with renewed rage.
"You lying bitch, it was Sunset shimmer, the girl who I believe helped stave off the sirens and did her best to change, who heeded my teaching's, only to be betrayed by some impostor who insults me by wearing my visage and throwing my teaching's back into her face." Daybreaker spat, venom dripping in her words.
"wh- what, we didn't betray her, in fact, if you wait she should still be here."
"that is a lie and you know it, you saw that she felt alone, yet you did nothing, you knew that she was hurting yet you shut her out, never once did you ask what drove her, you only saw the evil, and because of that, she is dead in a world that she believed didn't want her."
"Your not innocent either, you messed up with her too, your the original reason she was here to begin with so don't pin her death on me completely, you abandoned her worst then me, I merely was waiting for her to come to me for support, I didn't know that she feared you no matter who had your face, even though we're different, so don't pin your failure on me." Celestia said to Daybreaker, the mask of courage crumbling as she let her anger come through.
"So, you did care, congratulations you earned reprieve from our wrath, so we suggest you pack up and leave, because we wont spare many, but get in our way, we'll make sure you live to regret meeting us, by the way though, the Luna doppelganger is spot on." Daybreaker said, turning away from the two, taking flight to the sky, leaving the two torn between leaving and letting the gods do what they wanted or evacuating the students who they believed wont be targeted, in the end though, though they did with heavy hearts, they went home, packed up their most valuable possessions, and left for their niece's, Dean cadence's house.
"Sister, their head start is almost up, we should get ready, because its almost time too play, and im itching to find them." Nightmare moon said too Daybreaker.
"patience sister, we'll have our vengeance, but first let make a show, we said that the doppelgangers who wears the faces of Twilight's friends faces would get a head start, but we never said that the others would, lets show these mortal's why you never make a god angry." Daybreaker stated as she took her sisters hands and flew up, past the clouds, past the blue sky, and into the near void of space, drawing in the power of the Sun, as nightmare moon, she absorbed the power of the light reflecting off the moon and stars in space as the dark void filled her with magic.
"are you ready sister?" Daybreaker asked, as she felt the magic in her reach its max.
"Its time." Nightmare moon answered with a wicked grin.
They flew back down, back down to the remains of canterlot high, as both Heart Breaker and Midnight Sparkle met, they didn't need to say anything as the sisters forms glowed, Daybreaker brought her hands forward and fired a beam of Burning Light, across town and into the space beyond as thousands of miles of earth was scorched, the ground turning to glass, as even the ocean was flash steamed.
Nightmare moon instead, simply raised her hands and then brought them down, in a few seconds, showers of stars fell too earth, in the distance, there were explosions, as even cities far across the ocean were pelted by stars burning with magic, but the nearest were pelting Sweet apple acres, miles upon miles of trees ruined by the magical fire, but not before the boutique went up in flames, as well as all the gathering places of many students, the magical fire catching most building around them on fire.
"well that was fun, but i believe that their head start is over." Daybreaker said, as she touched the ground.
"Indeed." nightmare moon said, as she turned to the horizon and shouted with a voice that put her nightmare night royal counter lot voice to shame.
"LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!!!"
This will be a blow to those who liked this story but hear me out, please.
I really did intend to finish this story, but due to multiple issues, I simply cannot get into the frame of mind to write it.
What frame of mind you ask, well I write based on how I feel, and the feelings needed to write this one are not the kind of ones that you want to focus on holding onto.
