The Lunatic Guardian

Midnight Shield watched the black and blue alicorn-foal in the other cell"Wait a sec, what is this one doing here? Where is the unicorn? Don't tell me that this is what they were doing in the dungeon before I was working there."Midnight Shield uneasily walks over to the young foal."And what is this? a wound around of the wings? Like if something was done to the wings? Or were they transplanted on, and what did happen to the pegasus afterward?"Midnight Shield wonders her gaze shifting around the foal. Just as the foal starts to wake up.

The foal stood up moving over to the back of the cell and pushes a button on a small flat opening where a bit of hay, apples, and some water comes in through the cell. Dropping down on the floor for the foal to eat. She began eating off the floor while Midnight Shield watched.

After the foal finished her meal she pushes another button whilst storing away the tray off to the side, where the rest of her food and water was. Moving to the mirror in the cell, she looks in the mirror and sees herself. Jumps backward with terror-filled eyes, realizing that she now has wings at her sides. The foal shakes her head in disbelief and starts to cry with disdain: "Why do I have wings!? Why did the pegasus need to die? WHY IS ALL OF THIS HAPPENING TO ME!?" the foal shouted.

"It was either you or your sister who would go through this hell, don't you remember?" a female voice comes from outside the cell and Midnight Shield and the foal turn around to face a mare which has a blue coat, a white mane, and tail, also wears a lab coat. "Oh and don't forget, the queen wants everything that doesn't "work" anymore out of her way, like a pegasus pony without wings, so they eliminate everything that doesn't "work" and if you stop "working" they will eliminate you too and then your sister will have to go through this again." the mare said "And before you ask me I'm here to check on the result of the experiment of our "good" doc. So let's see, can you move the wings a bit?"

The foal still with a bit of terror in her eyes. "yeah I remember Aunt Makro Phage." the foal says, and moves the wings a bit up down, spreading them a bit and back. "I can move them but it still hurts like hell." the foal says

"First remember here you call me Ms. Phage, second, good job my strong and brave niece Midnight Shield," Ms. Phage says, after hearing that the older Midnight Shield looks down towards the foal.

"What in Tartarus is going on here, and why is that me but with not my own wings and without my dragon eye? As long as I can remember, I was a loyal soldier of our queen with my sister and had always both wings and my dragon eye."Older Midnight Shield thinks with a bit of wondering hate in her eyes.

While she watches Ms. Phage goes inside the cell and puts her horn, near the wings on foal Midnight Shield and casts a spell, which looks like a regenerate spell and the wound around the wings started disappearing. "Try to move them now."

Young Midnight Shield moves the wings around now easier and without any pain, "It doesn't hurt anymore, thank you, aunt."

"Than try to fly a bit up." Ms. Phage says as Young Midnight spreads her new wings and starts to flap them. Lifting herself up from the groundonlya little bit. "Hmm. . . see you are flying now, only a bit but still your first try. Then you will have no Problem today. Hope that it is not to rough." Ms. Phage says and young Midnight lands back on her hooves.

"What do you mean, with"Not too rough"aunt?" Young Midnight asks with a worried glance towards Ms. Phage. "Do they want to test my new wings today or is there "special training" time again."

"Its both today, they want to get going on your training, and if you are awake after this training they want to give you a present." Ms. Phage started to walk away, "So get ready and "survive" everything today." She finished now completely out of sight.

"I hope that I don't need to see another pony getting killed in front of me again. But it's better that I see all this than my sister seeing it." Young Midnight says as she looks around sits down on the hay and waits.

After half an hour the training guard comes into view in the hallway walking towards and to the cell of young Midnight Shield. "Hey you get up and stand still, I come to put this chain and collar around your neck and then we go, its time for your training." Young Midnight nods stands up and takes a few steps backward away from the iron bars, the training guard goes into young Midnight puts the collar with the chain around the neck of the young Midnight. Leaving the cell with young Midnight in tow.

After a while, they get to the training area from last time. "So get in there and wait for my orders." the training guard says taking off the chain from young Midnight, Midnight goes into the training area and the gate closes behind her. A few seconds later the cage above lowers on the training arena to make it impossible for a pony to fly out. "So your task, for now, is to go and fly around in this arena this time. No combat or anything. Just try to fly for now."

"Ok, I will try." and Midnight Shield starts to spread her new wings, starts flapping her wings and starts to fly a little bit. And after the flying basics, Midnight started to try to fly as fast as possible, to brake as fast as possible, and other possibilities. "I think I know how to fly now." She said smiling with pride.

"Good, Now get your weapon and armor, and get ready to train for aerial combat." the training guard says then pulls a lever and some training dummies come out behind cover. "Your task is to fly only and to hit the targets with your weapon of choice."

Young Midnight Shield gets back into the arena, now carrying her katana and her armor like last time and starts flying, after looking around the arena, seeing in the center a tower, around 3 meters high, with a round target on top of it, in the north is a wall which has various kinds of hights and targets on top, one is 2 meters high another one 1 meter, another is 2,5 meters and a 0,5 meter high. In the west is a single wall around 1,2 meters high with 5 targets in a row. in the east is a wall which is 2,75 meters high, where are a few rails on which were 3 targets moving up and down in different speed and in the south is the gate where she got in.

After seeing and confirming all the targets, Midnight starts flying towards the west wall and flys to one end of the wall, pulls out her katana flys along the wall and makes one slash and cuts all of the targets in half, but she forgot to brake. When she looked at what was in front of her she only got to see the metal wall in front of her and. . .

*BONG*

Young Midnight hits her muzzle on the metal, then promptly falls to the ground, stands up and stumbles a bit around shakes her head and goes back in the air, "That's your first Strike!" the training guard shouts.

Midnight back in the air looks around and flys to the walls to the north of the arena, and hovers in front of the different targets and stabs every target right in the center. after successfully, destroying the last target in the north, Midnight flys to the eastern wall and looks how the targets move, "You have to slice through all 3 with one Slash!" The training guard shouts, Midnight hovers in front of the middle target and waits for the right moment, she slashes and. . . missed all 3 by a millimeter "That's your second strike!" The training guard shouts again. And Midnight still hovering waiting, this time hitting all 3 targets with one slash.

Midnight now flying towards the Tower in the Center and pulling out the katana to do an overhead slash down on the target, only to get in that moment a shield charged towards her and. . .

*BONG*

Hitting her muzzle again, but hitting the target at the same time, falling disoriented on the ground, shaking her head she stood up, "Get on top of the tower and stand still." Following his orders she started flying up, landing on top of the tower and. . .

*Click*

Her legs got locked into a binding which was mounted on top of the tower "I hope you're ready, you know the drill, no shouting, and everything could be fine. We start with electric shocks" The guard said with a sadistic smile on his face. Pulling down a lever only a quarter down, prompting electricity to start flowing through the young Midnight. Twitch slightly, her mane and tail stuck up making her look like a hedgehog. But she didn't cry, no tears, or shouts, she endures it.

After a few seconds of watching the young Midnight, the guard pulls the lever down to half forcing more electricity flows through young Midnight. She continued to twitch more now and some tears coming out of her eyes, a pained expression now on her face. After another few seconds, the guard pulls the lever another quarter down, so that even more electricity flows through young Midnight. Tears now began to flow down on her face, and has a really painful look on her face and twitching even uncontrollably. "Have you had enough, or can you endure it for now?"

"I-I-I can en-en-endure it!" young Midnight growled out with a pained voice clenching her teeth tightly. Smirking the guard pulls down the lever completely. Now energy flows so much and so intense through young Midnight that old Midnight thought that she saw the bones of young Midnight for a second. Now young Midnight twitches as much as possible near collapsing it needs only a bit more electricity to let young Midnight collapse. "IT HURTS!" Young Midnight cried out, "I CAN'T ENDURE IT! PLEASE MAKE IT STOP!"

And the guard starts to laugh "Finally, it took you long enough. and no I won't stop now, it's your training and you need to be able to resist this so we will let you stay here for a while and let you endure it, oh and don't collapse."

Young Midnight started crying, twitching and yelling. This would last on for about an hour. Until the guard says: "Ok that should be enough for electro shocks today. Now you get a ten-minute rest after that we go to the next step. . ." He then pushes the lever back up and the electricity stops flowing instantly moving onto another lever pulling it down, which lets the tower and the walls get back down into the ground. Now Midnight stands on the ground still some twitching from the electricity and still tears flowing down her face.

Ten minutes later, the doc from last time and the training guard goes to young Midnight, "So let's get a move on, this time its time to test your mental resistance. Let's see how much your mind can hold out till it breaks." the training guard says, "and doc you know what to do after I"trained"this exercise." He chuckled looking towards the doc.

"But of course, I will get ready after you entered her mind." The doc says walking towards the young Midnight. "Are you ready my friend?" Doc asks the guard.

"Yes I am," the guard says as the doc casts a spell and fires it on the guard and then on young Midnight. Around older Midnight everything goes to black.

After a few seconds all three, the guard, young and old Midnight were standing in a cell. "So little plaything, let's get started, your task of this training is to endure as much as possible, should it be to less, what you endured, we will take your sister instead, so endure as much as possible. and you need to decline everything I want you to say or do." the training guard says with a dark, sadistic smile. A cross appears and binds young midnight on it, "Wellcome to your mind, or let me tell it like this, Wellcome to your Hell." And a table with different tools appears.

The guard grabs the young Midnight by the mane roughly then punches her with his hoof in the stomach "I want you to call me "Master", so call me like that."

"Never." young Midnight replies only to get a few more hits from the guard.

After the tenth hit, "And now?" the guard asks only to get a shaking head from young Midnight. The guard smiles moving over to the table. Takes a whip with his magic heading back and starts whipping young Midnight, who starts to flinch everytime the whip struck her. "So how about now?" The guard stops for a second for a response which, he only gets the shaking from Midnight. So the guard starts to whip her even harder now leaving scars behind which even start to bleed and a few tears start flowing from her eyes. The pain was unbearable.

After a few minutes later, the guard changes from a whip to a knife and stabbing young midnight and cutting her legs open, flaying her legs, and making it as painful and as slowly as possible. "Now. . . ? Do you surrender now?" Even under this much pain, yelling and crying young Midnight still shakes her head. She couldn't come to open her mouth. "Well then. . ." Switching to the knife with a sword, "Let's see how you like this."

Swinging the sword the guard creates one slash cutting off one of the skinned hind legs. Young Midnight starts to shout in pain. "Still not calling me master?" and still, young midnight shakes her head.

"Never I will hold out even Hell if that keeps my sister out of your hooves!" young midnight shouts.

"That's it, I know how I can break you." A dark, sadistic, sinister smile forms onto his lips. "But first its time for yourreward." As he says it everything goes back to black and a few seconds later they are back in the arena. "Doc is everything ready?"

"Yes everything is ready for thereward." the doc says and the guard makes a gesture that could mean"then get started."and the doc shouts out "SISTERS get ready. For the transplantation."

Young Midnight still in bounds "WHAT?! Another transplantation?" Trying desperately to escape the bindings.

"Don't even think about getting out of there but to make it safe, sister make it impossible to move for our guinea pig." The doc chuckled as both nurses come, binding her completely to the ground and putting a gag into her mouth. Not even letting her an inch of room to move stopping any noise from coming out of her. "Now let's get started. First open her eyelids of the right eye, oh and guard only the right eye."

The nurses started putting tapes over the eyelids which held the right eye open. "Yeah, the queen wants only that we replace one eye."

"Ok." the doc says pulling out a special forcep. Going over to young Midnight putting the forceps on the eye and. . .

After your imagination, the eye of young Midnight is out and she cries blood. "Ok, nurse put this eye away." One nurse got a jar with a strange liquid in it, placing the eye in the jar carrying it away. While the other nurse left the other nurse brought a jar which had a red dragon eye it. "And here is the new eye." the doc takes the eye out and goes towards young Midnight.(i leave you with your imagination for this)

After the eye transplantation was a success and young Midnight could now see with the dragon eye too. "Ok doc let me go back in her mind and train her more, she didn't break yet."

"Well it's your decision I give you another 15 minutes with her." and the doc casts the same spell as before on the guard and then on young Midnight and everything went back to black, and after a few seconds, they are all back in the cell. but something was different, now there is another aura in this cell, which old Midnight sees.

"It's time for moretraining" the guard says and the cross and the table with the tools appears again, the guard stalked over back to the table. Taking the sword in his magic. He walks towards the bounded young Midnight and cuts down all of her legs. whereupon young Midnight instantly starts to scream and tears flowing down her eyes all over again.

***Point of view young Midnight***

"Again with this cutting my limbs off. Doesn't he know how much it Hurts."I thought, and I shout "I will never surrender myself to you!" And my limb grew back and the old ones disappear."Hey there, do you want some help?"an unfamiliar voice is in my head.

"Who is there? And what are you doing in my head?"I asked in my head, while I asked that in my mind the guard was stepping a few steps back.

"Ok let's stop this, I know that this was supposed to break you so let's break you on another way," the guard says to me now the smile from before the transplantation reappears. And a few meters in front of me appears another cross "You know how am I going to break you?" I have a really bad feeling about this, what could he try to do to break me. "Let's see who is hanging behind." he turns the cross around and I am already furious.

"What are you doing here? Why is she here on the cross?" I ask with a very angry look on my face.

"Oh is there someone angry? But wait you should know something, she may not be going through the same hell as you but we still did an experiment on her. . . take a look at her sides. . ." The guard says going to the white and blue unicorn mare and pulls something from her side.

"No, no, no, no, no, no, NO! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?! I am going to KILL YOU!" I shouted,

Then the voice in my head comes back"Yes get angry let your wrath go wild, hurt him like he did to you, let's kill him for everything that he has done to you and your sister."And I think the voice is right, maybe I should go wild, maybe I should kill them, yes. . . let them burn in hell like nothing else. While I say this my new eye feels warm,"By the way, my name is Cosmic Eclipse but you may call me Cos."

"Ok, Cos I am Midnight Shield, so are you maybe the dragon eye that I have now?"I say in my Head to the Voice.

"Yes, I am the dragon eye, but let's save further introductions for later. First, we should get him back out of your mind and then kill him and the doc for everything that happened to us all, to the pony you got the wings of, me who is only the eye now, to you and. . . to your sister."That was the one thing I never wanted to hear. My Sister, if they did something to her I will kill them for breaking there promise with me.

"Wait a second they did something to my sister?!"I ask Cosmic with anger in my voice.

"Yes that what is in front of you right now is an image of how he last saw your sister."Cos says to me."And I would like to kill him, and before you ask how, It's your mind do whatever you want."After I hear everything my blood started to boil for anger.

"Yeah let's do that, together."I say to Cos just as the whole cell starts to tremble.

"What is going on here?" The guard says scared looking around. Not realizing that the cross I was bound to already disappeared and that my sister and the cross disappeared as well. "Hey what are you doing, you know what happens when you resist." The guard says with terror in his eyes towards me.

I am angry, I hate him and the doc, "You have broken our promise never to do anything to my sister but now you have done it. I went through this hell just so you can have your fun and don't do it to my sister but now its time to pay." I say and let a black Katana appear,

"Yes let him pay here as much as we want, he can't outrun you, he can't flee, so let's have some fun with him. And after that, we should kill them both."I think it's a great idea so I pulled out the katana and start to cut his legs off one by one first his hooves, then his knees and then at the body. After cutting down his legs, I cut down his horn so he couldn't use any magic. And the only thing he could do is to cry out in pain.

"You did this all to me, and now it's time for you to feel the same pain." All the anger I build up over the three years I've been here, and from being "trained" here. And the only reason why I endured it was to keep my sister safe from this hell but now they broke this promise, they need to pay for this. While I skinned and then filleting him.

Ten minutes later something stopped everything in my mind for a second and everything was black for a second and we are back in the Arena and I was still bound,"oh the doc interrupted us, he brought the guard back out of our mind. I give you a little power boost so we can do what we want to do."Cos told me to in my head.

"Fine let's get to it."I reply to Cos. The eye of Cosmic Eclipse started to glow, it was getting warmer, and now I started to see auras around the other ponys, and I felt stronger and I feel how my wrath overwhelm me and it feels. . .GOOD.

"How does my power feel?"Cos says in my head.

"It feels good, it feels awesome and powerful."I reply, destroying the gag in my mouth "It's time for you to say goodbye to me and hello to the chef of Tartarus." Breaking the bindings, pulling out the katana and walking towards the doc and the guard who is shaking for fear.

"If we die now your sister is going to d-" the guard was interrupted by me as I cut him right through the mouth cutting of his upper head and his blood sprays all over the place,

"Now to you doc. I bet you was it who transplanted the wings on my sister too" I say putting my katana blade right next to his horn, "So tell me, who gave you the order to do that to my sister." I'm so angry right now that I can barely restrain myself to not kill him this second, ask him only to kill the one that was behind this.

"The one who ordered us to transplant wings to your sister was the daughter of our queen, who was jealous that the queen gave more of her time to you and this project then to her. She is probably torturing your sister right now right above this arena. So please spa-" I interrupted him and cut off his whole head this time only to spray blood everywhere even on me so that my mane was now red.

"So how is it to let your wrath free?"I heard Cosmic again.

"It feels good to just let your anger build up but now I go and get this damn stupid cow of a pony. No one breaks a deal with me." I say going to the gate and cutting it down and leaving the Arena behind me.

While I am walking out of the training area, I pass a few guards who are shouting towards me "Stop don't move-" and I cut him in half.

"Don't even think about trying to stop me, if you want to live," I say with a voice sounding like a pony and a dragon were talking at the same time. And the other guard just puts his sword to the side and walks off as nothing happened and I continued my way to my target.

On the way, there were a few guards who wanted to stop me, but now there is a new wall, flour, and ceiling color. Now right above the arena, there is really a special room. As I entered the room I hear a whining sound as I found out who this sound made I was furious I saw my sister hanging from the ceiling in chains which were bound to her forelegs. I ran up to her, she is bound, gagged and has scars all over her body and indeed she has wings on her side. I removed the gag and say "Sister are you fine? How long have you been here?"

"Midnight, I am glad that you're fine, you should get out of here this which is coming back any second now." My sister Midday Shield says and then I had a great idea.

"Wait I have a plan try to stay calm when she is back I will get you out of here after she is back and punished," I say my dragon eye still glowing."Hey Cos, can I use a clocking spell to hide us even with your eye glowing like this."

"Yes you can you just need to close my eye."Cos says to me in my head and I put the gag back on my sister a signal her that I am here but that she doesn't do anything that could reveal that someone is here. She nodded and I closes the door, go in a corner and cast an optical camouflage spell, which I learned by observing other guards training in the arena.

A few moments later, the daughter of the queen enters the room and walks up to my Sister. "So my little plaything I hope you are ready for being cut this time." The Wench pulls a knife out with her magic, she is a red unicorn with an orange mane and tail, and a cutie mark which looks like a whip. As she walks near my sister I slammed, still invisible, the door to the room and the which scared turns around looking towards the door and I took that moment to get next to her. The bitch turns back around facing my sister again and says "Must have been the wind, now let's get back to business and start making you my plaything official by carving the word "Toy" on your place where the cutie mark would be."

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." I say "And now you did something you should never have done." I am very. . . and I meanveryfurious right now and my blood is boiling so much that I feel very hot.

"W-W-Who ist there?" The scum asks looking around standing still for a second, I pull out the Katana undo the cloaking spell and cut down her horn and she started to scream.

"You broke our promise and now you have to pay for your wrong doings, no place for negotiations." I cut down her head without another second to think about it. I Walk towards my sister free her and we started to talk about why we were here and how we escape this castle and the new body parts they got and about Cosmic Eclipse. But we were interrupted by the queen herself.

***Older Midnight Shield Point of View.***

Just as the queen enters the room everything was back to black but who was this Cosmic Eclipse my young self-was talking about? "Should I try it? well, what have I to lose." I say and start to talk in my head."Hello is there someone in my mind? Or is there a Cosmic Eclipse?"I waited for a few seconds.

"So how does it come that you ask for me after two millennia, and I thought you forgot me completely. But it seems that you forgot that you can call me Cos."The voice in my head said to me not really surprised but still a bit surprised.

"So everything I saw was true, Cos?"I ask the voice.

"Well what did you see?"Cos asks, and I told him everything that happened in this dreamlike realm."Oh that, yeah that all happened a very long time ago."Cos says leaving me in Shock."but it seems like it is time to wake up it is 20:00. And don't try to freak out after you wake up."Cos says and I decided to wake up.
