A Shocking Turn Of Events

“Oh, you poor dear! Don’t worry, Momma will fix you right up”, Fluttershy said to Silent Night.

The poor colt had the flu, and the doctors couldn’t do anything about it. Flutterhsy had tried pretty much everything to help her adoptive son, but so far nothing was going to plan. The Fluttershy heard from Zecora about a magical herb called “Relief Leaf” that could apparently cure any common flu or cold. Zecora described the leaf as looking a “Green Seed Of Relief”, whatever that meant.

There was a downside, however. It was located in the dangerous Everfree Forrest. Fluttershy was now stranger to the villainous vines of the Everfree, but she still scared nonetheless.

However, her love for Silent Night fueled her braveness, as she was currently about to head into the deep woods to find the supposed herb.

“Angel, take care Of Silent Night For me. I’m certain he needs you”, Fluttershy said valiantly.

Angel gave a mock salute and tended to his adoptive brothers aid. Silent Night patted the bunny on the head and scooped him up in his arms, leaving a smiling Fluttershy to shake her head.

“Momma?”, Silent Night called from the couch.

“Yes, sweetie?”, Fluttershy called back.

“I love you”, Silent Night said

“I love you too, my sweet prince. Now get some rest, and when Momma gets back you’ll be all better”, Fluttershy said.

Silent Night got comfortable and began to doze off. Angel soon joined him, and within seconds the two boys were out cold.

Fluttershy giggled at the display and made her way out the door. She looked ahead and saw the overgrown atrocity that was the Everfree Forrest, and bravely entered the forrest.

She spent the first 15 minutes of her searching in a small clearing in the middle of the forrest. The buttery yellow mare looked inside trees, underneath rocks, and up in the trees. She didn’t see any sign of the leaf, however, and set her sights on another part of the forrest.

——————————————————————
Fluttershy’s search carried on for an agonizing two hours before she decided to rest. She sat on a rock and pondered her options. She could leave and let Silent Night suffer, or she was going to get off her round flank and find this herb!

She chose option two and sprang into action. She carried on for another two minutes, until she finally found the herb on top of a large rock.

The only problem was that the rock was high, and I mean very high. Below the rock sat some very strange orange and purple flowers that were almost in a heart shape. Flutterhsy, not wanting to fall into the mystery weed, decided to fly to the rock.

She fluttered her wings and eventually reached the top of the granite boulder. She slowly trotted over to the Relief Leaf. She bent down and picked it up in her mouth, and put in her saddlebags. Feeling satisfied, she turned around to prepare for the flight down.

However, she slipped on a wet piece of moss and plummeted to the forrest floor. She was too afraid to use her wings as she fell closer to the strange orange flower from earlier. She said prayers as the plant came closer.

Flutterhsy expected pain, but alas the pain never came. She landed in what felt like silk, but had a bounce to the texture. She bobbed up and down on the flower until she realized she wasn’t falling.

She got up and took a look at the flower. She stared at it with a gaze that screamed confusion and thanks. Suddenly, a bright light blinded her and she fell back with a small whimper.

The light lasted a good 10 seconds before it subsided. When the blinding light ceased, Flutterhsy heard a noise that sounded like something had fell down.

She uncovered her eyes and made an almost impossible discovery.

There, on the ground, was a full grown stallion. He was the shade of buttery yellow as Fluttershy, and even had the same mane color. He began to twitch a bit, until the twitching turned into stirring.

He rose and almost fell back down, but managed to save himself at the last second. When he looked up, he saw Flutterhsy staring with her mouth agape.

“Eep!”, the mystery stallion squeaked.

“Eep!”, Fluttershy squealed back.

They both ducked behind bushes that were close by. The two were like that for a good minute, until Flutterhsy spoke.

“H-Hello? Can you hear me?”, She spoke nervously.

She saw his head rise out of the bush slowly. The look on his face was truly one of fear.

“Y-Yes, I can hear you”, the stallion said back.

His voice was deeper than Fluttershys, but he shared her noise level.

“Hi, m-my name is Fluttershy, What’s your name?”, Fluttershy asked.

“My names B-Butterscotch. Nice to meet you”, he shyly said.

The silence returned, and they remained like that for a good two minutes.

“Can I ask you a question......I mean, if that’s ok with you?”, Fluttershy asked.

“I don’t mind, ask away”, Butterscotch replied.

“Where did you come from?”, Fluttershy calmly asked.

“I don’t know. I was feeding Angel and I suddenly woke up here. Am I in the Everfree F-Forrest?”, Butterscotch scaredly said.

“Yes...you are. How do you know Angel? He’s MY bunny”, Fluttershy asked.

“I’ve had Angel since he was a baby, how do you know him?”, Butterscotch questioned.

“I’ve had him since he was a bab-“, Fluttershy stopped herself.

She put the peiced together and gasped. She heard Twilight talk about this kind of thing before. She called a “Alternate Universe”. Butterscotch was from another universe.

“What’s wrong?”, Butterscotch asked.

“N-Nothing. Anyway, would you like to come back to my cottage? I have to give Silent Night this herb”, Fluttershy said.

“Ok, but I have one question”, He said.

“That being?”, Fluttershy asked back.

“Who is Silent Night?”, Butterscotch asked.

“He’s my son”, Flutterhsy said calmly.

“Oh, so you have a coltfriend?”, Butterscotch questioned.

“Nope”, Fluttershy said.

“Then how do you have a son?”, he asked.

Fluttershy giggled, which confused Butterscotch.

“I’m his adoptive mother”, Fluttershy said.

Butterscotch made a face of understanding, which made Fluttershy chuckle a bit.

“Anyway, let’s get going”, Flutterhsy said.

“Ok, lead the way”, Butteracotch said.

The two began to make their way back to Fluttershy’s cottage. Butterscotch’s head was racing with thoughts, as was Fluttershy’s.

They both eventually decided that they would deal with this later. When later was, however, was never clarified.
