Minding my own business, playing final fantasy 3, and suddenly I'm Screwball? And why am I anthro but everything else is normal?

Where am I? Equestria. Why am I there? To bring the CMC + 1 to fight and document the various monsters lurking inside Everfree Forest, dunno why, just am. How? Fight them. Any means I want. Guess that explains why I'm Screwball. Doesn't answer why I'm anthro and naked though. Oh well.
