The New Maids of the Castle of Friendship
Part Two: Competition
Previous ChapterNext ChapterTrixie intensified the kiss with the usage of her tongue, invading Twilight's mouth all too easily. Although, it was almost as if Twilight was the one doing most of the kissing by now. She even advanced her body up against the unicorn's, and grabbed hold of Trixie by the arm with one of her hooves. Twilight moaned longingly, and yearned dearly to take this to the next level. Had she not fully known who it was she was kissing, and had Spike not been blatantly standing right there clicking his knees together with agitation, Twilight might've even done just that.
However, this was Trixie. Since when did Trixie clean anything?
This thought ran through Twilight's head suddenly, and she ended the kiss abruptly. However, a strand of their spit still connected them together. Twilight forwardly asked Trixie, "What the hell are you doing here?"
Trixie just smiled at Twilight with impeccable stillness. She almost seemed like a painting, and then, she came alive by suddenly saying, "Trixie's here for the job! What else?"
Twilight wiped the saliva away before continuing this conversation. She snarled at Trixie's confidence, and said quite boldly, "You couldn't sweep somepony's front porch on a windy day even if all of your bits depended on it! Do you really think I'd hire the likes of you for this job, Trixie? What maid experience could you possibly have? The way I see it, yeah, you're the only pony that's kissed me so far, but what happens when I tell you to clean up a mess? Huh?"
Spike nervously twiddled his claws, and said, "Uh, Twilight...! You're making a mis-"
"Oh, shush Spike," Twilight hissed, but at that moment, Trixie was already working on proving to Twilight that she was the right pick after all.
"Twilight," she simply said with the most alluring voice she could muster. "You're right! Trixie does hate cleaning, but there's the thing. Pay a pony enough, and they'll do practically whatever you want them to." Trixie blinked, and then said with almost glowing eyes locked directly onto Twilight, "Trixie thinks you'll be more than willing to pay her handsomely, but Trixie's not just after that..."
Twilight thought for a minute, and then said, "Wait, Trixie... How'd you know I wanted a kiss?" Trixie just laughed to herself while Twilight went on to say, "Nopony could've known about that before coming in here."
"Because," Trixie said after a moment of waiting. "I overheard Octavia talking about it on her way out." Twilight blinked at that for a few seconds, but Trixie was now in control of the conversation. "Trixie has to say... trying to get the nice citizens of this fair town to make out with you as part of a job is a bit much, don't you think? What if word got out? How would you react?"
Twilight sighed, but she kept smiling all the same. "Word won't get out. Even if it did, I doubt anypony would really believe it even with hard evidence."
Trixie nodded, and although she considered it might've been better not to ask, she still had to know, "Twilight? Just... what's gotten into you? That is, what Trixie means to say is that she doesn't mind, but... Tell her what happened anyways."
Twilight looked away for a moment. Upon returning her attention to Trixie, Twilight said, "Starlight Glimmer abandoned me for Sunburst."
Trixie just stood there for a second, and then sat down while holding a hoof out towards Twilight's direction. "Oh... No way, Twilight. I mean, Starlight wouldn't do that! That's just silly."
"She hasn't written me since she left. Not once, Trixie, and she took everything she owned. I've visited her dark, empty room several times these past few weeks..."
The realization sank in slowly for Trixie. She scowled to try and understand, but in the end, she started to nod her head. "Actually, she hasn't written me, either."
That's when Spike tried to put an end to that thought process by pointing out, "Hey... You guys! Look, maybe there's something wrong with the mailing process, or... something. Don't you think you're jumping the shark just a little bit here?"
Both Twilight and Trixie looked at Spike as if they were actually considering what he was telling them, but neither agreed. Twilight was the first to say something about that. "Actually, Spike, that's highly unlikely. It's more probable that she just up and left us, and she's ignoring our letters."
Spike pleaded yet again, "Look, you know Sunburst's address. Why don't you go visit her instead of doing nothing?"
Twilight gritted her teeth, and for a good, long while, she just thought about that notion. "I... just don't want to go, and see her with him... I don't want to see her holding on to him, or kissing him... Besides, she knows how to send a letter through you. Remember? I taught her how to do that just before she left."
Trixie was now walking right by Twilight. She made sure to tenderly brush her tail across the alicorn's coat, and after turning around to whisper into Twilight's ear, she made her proposal. "Look, Twilight... Ignore that troublesome drake, and listen to Trixie for once. If she's left us, then Trixie's definitely, officially decided that she wants you and her to be a pair. Plus, I haven't gotten a chance to show you why I'd be the perfect maid for this luxurious castle you have."
Twilight raised her head at Trixie suddenly, and she said, "Yes, you're right... So, Trixie!" Twilight stepped back, giving the unicorn her space. She then asked, "What makes you worth being my maid? Other than that kiss from earlier."
Trixie just grinned peacefully. Silence fell upon the room for a second, but then, her aura began forming along the lower portions of her hooves, and up Trixie went. Trixie was now levitating in the air with absolute perfection. She wasn't taking up her whole entire body with her magic, so she still had enough left to also grab hold of a duster just by its handle. Trixie then hovered herself directly towards the middle of the room, at least ten feet off the ground. To Twilight's pure surprise, dust started falling down, and fast, too.
"See?" Trixie loudly asked. "Trixie knows what she's doing. Spike, why don't you go ahead and tell her why that is."
While Trixie kept up the good work, Spike explained, "If I remember right, she used to be a maid for Princess Celestia a long time ago. Before we moved to Ponyville."
Twilight's face was priceless to Trixie. She seemed both confused, and stuck in disbelief. "Trixie," Twilight voiced with amazement. "Is that true?"
"Yep! Every word of it! Why, Twilight? You didn't actually think that Trixie had just happened to find the perfect stage wagon lying in the middle of the road one day, did you?" Trixie came back down to the floor, and resumed, "Trixie worked hard for her Highness, and she was hired shortly after getting her cutie mark, too, so it's not like she worked there for a short time. Then, Trixie bought that wagon with her hard earned money. So, Spike can vouch for me because he had even seen her one day, down the hall when he was much younger."
Twilight looked at Spike closely to make sure he was being honest, and he was. He looked back at her, scratched his head, and asked, "Should I make up her bed for tonight?"
Naturally, at this point, Twilight knew she had found possibly the perfect maid for her beloved castle. However, there was still one last pony that needed to be interviewed. Pinkie Pie walked right on in, trotted down the crystal hall as if she owned the place, and came right on up to where Twilight and Trixie was standing. Her nonchalant attitude almost made everypony jump once they finally realized she had entered.
"Aww, darn! Don't tell me Twilight's opening has already been filled!"
Nearly everypony just stared at Pinkie with raised eyebrows, but Twilight was the only one to act absolutely normal. Pinkie was still one of her closest friends, after all. "Pinkie? You want to be a maid? That would be absolutely wonderful! But, uh..."
She looked at Trixie, and Trixie looked to Pinkie Pie. She then came up to her, and said, "The Great and Powerful Trixie was just about to take that pleasure for herself."
Now, Pinkie doesn't like to be provoked. Quite confusingly, actually, she loves it. That's why when she heard Trixie say that, she just couldn't control herself. Not even in front of Princess Twilight Sparkle. With a snark, and a quick motion to get in Trixie's personal space, Pinkie suggested, "Oh? Well, Trixie? Why don't we both fill that opening together?! Huh?!"
Twilight's smile was just now growing to be just as wide as her friend's were, and all three of the mares kept looking at one another fiendishly. There was something about their eyes, Spike noticed. "That's it," he finally figured out inside of his head. "They're... all the same! They all have this... crazed, hungry look in their eyes! What's even with that???"
Twilight spoke up just before Trixie was about to. "Actually, I think I could do that for you, Pinkie. One more maid certainly couldn't hurt! But..."
She walked around the back of Trixie, and rested a hoof on her shoulder opposite of where Twilight sat. Then, Trixie did some of the talking while Twilight muzzled the back of Trixie's ear affectionately. "Trixie's already proven herself. What about you?"
Twilight explained further with an attractive expression pointed right at Pinkie, "Not only must you be a good cleaner, but you simply can't just be in it for the bits. You must also show me that you'll be a closer friend than you've ever been before. I'm not concerned with your cleaning skills, but what I am concerned with is whether or not you're willing to go through with this." She squinted her eyes at Pinkie, and asked, "Do you think you can do it? Prove it to me by kissing me, and it's a done deal."
Pinkie could now feel her blood rushing. She wasn't quite sure what in Equestria she was ultimately getting herself into, but it made her heart race, and she liked that a whole lot. All she was aware of at this point was the fact that Twilight was inviting her in for what was sure to be a lovely smooch, and Pinkie didn't minded in the slightest.
However, she couldn't have just kissed Twilight alone. Like an unsure puppy, she came close to Twilight, but then, she seemingly changed her mind, and firstly pecked Trixie on the cheek. Then, she said welcomingly, "Just wanted to break the ice between us. I look forward to working with you, Trixie."
After that, she made no such hesitation in giving Twilight possibly one of the deepest, and longest kisses she had ever experienced. Pinkie graced Twilight's with her hooves, and she was soon moving them downwards, towards Twilight's neck. Some of their spit escaped, and drizzled down Twilight's chin. When Pinkie finally ended it, Twilight almost behaved as if she had been drugged. Pinkie had to keep holding on to Twilight just to keep her steady.
"I'm fine," Twilight mumbled. "That was... I loved it. Although, I still don't know what your ambition is. What are you planning to do with the pay?"
Pinkie just looked out a nearby window, at where Canterlot was, and said, "Mrs. Cake and I want to build a new Sugar Cube Corner, right in the heart of Canterlot."
The Princess just looked at her two new maids, and breathed with blushing cheeks. "I think the three of us are going to get along with each other just great," she said.
She left the two of them shortly after that, telling Trixie and Pinkie that she and Spike would be back momentarily to escort them to their respective rooms. This interview had taken up practically the whole day, and Trixie was now with the one pony that could possibly get in the way of her having Twilight all to herself. Even with that fresh in her mind, Trixie knew Pinkie could be a bit of a freak. Still, she just couldn't bring herself to say something first.
"Sexy, isn't she?" Pinkie asked, is if this were an everyday topic. "Twilight sure knows how to keep things interesting, doesn't she?"
Trixie rolled her eyes at that statement. "You're pretty thick headed, aren't you? Look, Pinkie Pie... Twilight was abandoned by Starlight Glimmer. She left, and that hurt Twilight pretty badly. She just needs some comfort right now."
Pinkie nodded, and said, "I figured something like that had happened."
Trixie gulped while choosing her next set of words carefully. "In other words, I guess I don't mind sharing Twilight with you, but you have to promise me just one thing."
"What might that be?" asked Pinkie.
"You have to promise me that I'm the boss. Got it?"
Pinkie gave Trixie a sweet smirk, and said, "Okie dokie lokie!"
"Do you understand what that means? If we're gonna do something, Trixie's the one that gives the word. It's Twilight, then Trixie, and then Pinkie."
"And then Spike?"
Trixie giggled at that, but then pointed out, "On the contrary, Pinkie, he's probably got more pull than both of us combined. He basically owns this place just as much as Twilight, so he can't be so easily dismissed."
That's when the drake entered awkwardly. "Umm," he said in order to get their attention. "This way, please."
Twilight was waiting just outside. She was now leading everypony down another set of hallways. Twilight had decided to place Trixie and Pinkie fairly close to her own quarters, and just before parting with them for the night, she instructed them, "When I see you two tomorrow, I expect both of you to be wearing the maid uniforms that I prepared for you. They're found inside the closets, and is there anything I can do for the two of you?"
Trixie raised her hoof, and reasoned with Twilight before asking her actual question. "Twilight? Since we're speaking quite honestly and forwardly here... What time will you be taking a shower tomorrow morning? Trixie thinks she might just hop in with you if you don't mind."
Twilight blushed some more from Trixie's flirting, and simply said, "Have a good night, girls."
Pinkie went ahead and entered her room, but Trixie took her time. It was a good thing she did, too, because otherwise, she might not have seen Twilight accidentally leave the door of her room opened slightly.
