Tales From a Padded Kingdom
A city of great proportion stood vigilant along the bank of a large lake in the valley of the Padded Kingdom. It was not walled, nor did it need to be, for this was the capital city of their kingdom—Regalia. It remained a symbol of the peace that had reigned in the land for the past three hundred years. It’s ponies trotted along the streets with smiles on their faces and their diapers crinkling with every step. To summarize though, the Padded Kingdom was not called such without reason.
It had become traditional for a pony within the kingdom’s borders to wear such garments. To not wear one was considered ghastly and unsanitary, as toilets were nigh impossible to find inside any city or town within the land. The reason for such a garment to become the norm of this land was rather simple—all ponies of the nation were born with incontinence, meaning that, such as the fact that the crystal ponies were a sub-class in ponydom, so were the subjects of the Padded Kingdom. The exact details as to why were vague at best, and downright unknown at worst.
The ponies, despite being an oddity around the world, were fine with this. After all, their garments could be quite comfy and gave them a freedom from the worries of “having to go” as others outside the kingdom would say. What they had was something special, and they would never wish for it to end.
Did you know that the best way to capture the present is through photography? At present, such a thing as a camera was nonexistent, but a good substitute was most certainly available—specifically, art. It was a very common practice within the Padded Kingdom. A few of the greatest artist in the world lived within it’s borders, one of which was a unicorn named Canvas.
Canvas was a tall unicorn. By no means was he the tallest of his kind, but he most certainly was above the average. His coat was a creamy white with spots of brown dotting his back. A few freckles were spread upon his cheeks and well defined features. His face appeared as if it were chiseled from stone—strong and unaffected. His green eyes looked upon his canvas, as he wiped his long curly brown hair from his vision, his fore and rear hooves being visible through his coat. His curly brown tail encircled him as he sat upon his stool and looked out upon the city—a canvas laid out in front of his form.
His horn was alit with forest green magic, as he weaved his brushes and tools along the once white surface. The city was formed on the canvas, but the corner remained blank. Canvas had wondered as to what reason, but could not find it. He did not know what should be painted along with the city. His inspiration for this piece had run short.
“Come on!” Canvas spoke in mild agitation as his fore hoof rubbed against his temple. He gave his noggin a few good bumps to get his creative mind to spark something. Nothing came to him as to what he should paint.
He shifted his form, diaper crinkling as he did so. He was still dry at the moment, though a few dribbles of paint had made their way onto his once pristine coat and padding. It did not matter, he could bathe once he returned to the city.
Canvas remained in place for a moment longer, before he sighed and began cleaning and packing his tools. He cleaned his brushes of paint, he wiped down his palette, he took up his easel, and he dried his canvas before putting all of his artisans tools into his small cart. He then rigged himself to the cart, his magic being very helpful and trotted downhill from his spot, returning to the city.
By the time he reached the entrance of the city, the sun had risen to noon. Canvas gave a small smile, as the comfort of familiarity washed over him. He trotted along the brick roads of the capital, his mind elsewhere as he continued to ponder upon what he should draw in the corner of his piece.
Out of nowhere, Canvas was throttled from his footing, his form falling to its side as a pony laid atop him—the ponies mane covering his muzzle which now held an expression of clear annoyance. “Would you mind getting off me!”
“I’m so sorry!” A soft voice spoke. It was feminine, and was smooth and clear like crystal.
Canvas stood up, giving his small cart a strong tug to put it back upon its wheels. He quickly looked over the items it carried. All were fine. He then looked over at the mare who now stood in front of him, her head leaned downwards as a sign of guilt, her blond hair covering one of her purple eyes. A blush also adorned her muzzle. She had a light brown coat and a beautiful tail that swayed back and forth—seemingly expectant of some form of forgiveness. Her legs seemed to twitch in anguish, causing her diaper to crinkle loudly.
“I...” Canvas started to speak. His mind was having trouble coming up with the proper words. “It’s fine,” he finally spoke. “No harm, no foul.”
“Thank you,” She said. “My name is Sapphire Star, it’s a pleasure to meet you, but I must be on my way.”
She began to trot away, but not before Canvas grabbed her tail and dragged her back. “Are you searching for something?” Canvas asked. “I may be able to help, if you aren’t in any rush.”
Sapphire blushed and looked around her, trying to see if any of the ponies were staring in her direction, before she turned to him. “Do you know where I can find a restroom?” She asked with expectancy.
Canvas looked at her confounded for a moment before it clicked. “You’re a tourist?” He asked.
She nodded. “I just arrived not two hours ago where I was told to put on one of these—um... garments, and sent on my way. I’ve been dying to go, but I can’t seem to find any form of toilet.” Canvas chuckled at such a statement. “What’s so funny?” Sapphire asked with confusion.
Canvas stopped chuckling to respond to her. “I’m not sure if your aware, but this is the Padded Kingdom. We don’t have toilets as all of the ponies here are incontinent. That is why diapers are so commonplace and necessary for tourists, such as yourself.”
“What!?!” She nearly yelled out. A few of the ponies looked in their direction, Canvas and Sapphire both noticing the unwanted attention from her outburst. Canvas lit his horn and closed her muzzle.
“Please,” Canvas started, “try not to make a scene.”
Sapphire nodded as he removed his magical grasp. “Then where is someplace I can go?” She asked. Her legs twitched some more. “I’m not exactly holding out well.”
Canvas had never been in such a situation before. He had seen tourist before, yes, but never had he seen one so unfamiliar with their customs. He honestly had no idea how to make this easier for her.
“Wait,” He spoke to himself.
Make it easier for her. Thinking back upon it, Canvas had seen one or maybe two tourist being forced to use the diapers provided to them. They would always move away from prying eyes—into someplace like an alley or into a building.
“Come with me,” Canvas spoke, waving her along with his hand, his small cart being dragged behind him. Sapphire followed with some preservation.
Canvas entered into an alleyway, to which Sapphire stopped. “Please tell me you aren’t going to try and rob me.”
Canvas rolled his eyes. “I’m not some decrepit stallion lurking in the shadows.”
Sapphire was convinced—or at least enough to trust the pony in front of her.
They both stood in the alley, where Canvas unhooked himself from his cart. He looked back to her. Sapphire’s fidgeting had increased exponentially.
“Sapphire,” Canvas started, drawing her attention, “this may sound surprising to you, but if your gonna relieve yourself, you’ll have to do it in your diaper.”
Sapphire was most certainly taken aback. “Are you kidding me?” She asked. His expression remained stoic. “Oh,” she said quietly, “I guess not.” She looked at him with pleading purple eyes. “Isn’t there any other option?”
“Unless you want to go into a bucket and throw out your waste, which, to inform you, would be considered barbaric and disgusting, then no,” Canvas said plainly.
Sapphire looked rather displeased with current circumstances, but she would have to put up with it. “Fine.”
Canvas looked at her for a moment, as she spread her legs, allowing the diapers massive poof to be made obvious. She sighed as she tried to relax. It looked as though she were in a calm trance... for about five seconds. Her face began to become strained as she tried to force herself to go. Despite the fact that she was desperate for release, her body refused to let her go.
Canvas couldn’t help but feel a tad sorry for her. She was trying, to be sure, but she couldn’t quite let go. Canvas felt his diaper crinkling beneath him. Perhaps he could help her feel better.
Hiss...
The sound permeated the air. Sapphire was surprised. She knew she hadn’t gone yet—unless...
Sapphire was surprised to see Canvas’ diaper swell, a yellow tint covering its front. He appeared to be very relaxed. “Did you...?” Sapphire spoke.
“Well, don’t just stand there,” Canvas stated, “I don’t want to be the only one.”
Sapphire was surprised by his kindness. A smile spread across her muzzle, as did a smile spread across his. She relaxed once again, this time, her dying bladder relenting to the pressure. Her own diaper began to expand.
Both stood in the alleyway as their diapered rears whisked away their urine. An unexpected turn of events, but one that would grow this new friendship.
Canvas looked at her and thought, “she’s kinda cute...” a blush spread across his muzzle as he looked away with shy eyes.
The torrent of urine ceased as did the swelling of their diapers. Both now looked away from each other, though for completely different reasons.
“So...” Sapphire started.
“Uhh... would you,” Canvas spoke, their gazes returning to each other. “I mean, do you have a place to stay for the night?”
“No, I don’t,” she replied.
An awkward silence surrounded the two before Canvas spoke once again. “How about you stay at my place?”
Sapphire was shocked by such an offer. However, a small giggle escaped her lips. Canvas blushed. “You know,” Sapphire spoke, “that sounds rather nice. I could use a, uh...” her hoof pointed down to her diapered rump.
Canvas couldn’t help but chuckle. “Of course, but you have to change me first.”
Both walked out of the alley with playful banter, Canvas dragging his cart along. He couldn’t help but gaze upon her face. Eureka struck him. He knew how to finish his painting. How grateful he was for this turn of events.

Tales From a Padded Kingdom
Clip. Clop. Clip. Clop.
Paper Gaze walked steadily down the steps of the stone stairs, a lantern swaying slightly in his gray muzzle, lighting the path in front of him. His silver mane was combed neatly back and remained unwavering as he continued forth into the darkness. His nerdish glasses reflected the light of the lantern and the end of the staircase which led to two oak doors. A unicorn guard stood vigilant and watched the earth pony come down the steps.
Paper Gaze stopped, his tail swaying slightly in anticipation in front of the guard, causing his white diaper to crinkle beneath his cloak.
The guard seemed curious, his silver armor shining in the lantern light and diaper crinkling as well. “Must’ve taken a lot of convincing to get the necessary clearance to even approach the steps.”
The earth pony nodded.
“So what is the reason for your visit?”
“Magic research.”
The guard bursted into laughter. He put a hoof to his chest as to help him catch his breath. Paper nervously readjusted his glasses.
“I apologize,” the guard spoke with a smirk, “it’s just such a surprise to hear that from an earth pony.”
Paper stood silent. The guard gave him one more inspective gaze before lighting his horn and opening the doors. “Please, be careful with the books in there. Many of them are very old.”
He nodded once again before trotting forward into the dark space. “And one more thing.” Paper turned around to heed the guard.
The guard looked at him with a stern gaze. “Don’t touch any of the books with red bookmarks.” Suddenly, his stern expression became more teasing. “Have fun!” The doors quickly slammed shut, causing the earth pony to wince, his ears folding back, however, he slowly brought his head towards the towering bookshelves and old tables.
No light made its way into the ancient archives say for that of the lantern. Most of these books were sensitive to sunlight, which was the reason for the near constant darkness. The bookshelves looked menacingly overhead, fading away as the darkness of the celling engulfed them. Several of the books were kept in rather good condition, but a few of them were covered in small tatters. Those tended to be the ones with the red bookmarks.
“Alright,” he spoke to himself, “now where is it...”
He began to scour the bookshelves, his hoof running along the shelves edges. He would move from the bottom shelf to the top, searching for that single book—the one that would answer his yearning question. It seemed to elude him for a time. It felt as if every shelf he examined was trying to test his patience.
Paper Gaze climbed up the another ladder to reach one of the higher shelves. Climbing the ladder was proving a tad difficult with his large and cushy padding, but it didn’t stop him. His lantern covered the books in a soft orange hue, revealing their spines and titles. His eyes gazed over them with a sense of boredom, nearly missing the book he was looking for. He was lucky to have even spotted it. When his eyes saw the title he jumped a little with excitement, his hooves shooting up in celebration before he quickly wrapped them around the ladder once again. Falling would not have been recommended at his height.
He nearly took it on the spot, but noticed the red bookmark placed within its pages. At the sight of it, he felt downtrodden. He would never know it’s secrets, unless he convinced her majesty to give him express permission to open it’s contents, something he deemed unlikely. However, a simple thought struck him, one with only two words. “Take it.” He was tempted to. It was right there—in reach—ready to be read! How could he not take it? Despite the guard’s warning and his conscience telling him not to take the book, he grabbed it in haste and brought it close to his chest, it’s hard backing pressing against his gray coat. He descended the ladder with caution, careful as to not damage such an article of priceless knowledge.
Paper Gaze found a table and laid the book upon the flat wooden surface. He checked his diaper to see if it was wet. “Just a dribble,” he noted. He sat down at the table and stared at the book. His eyes were brimming with curiosity as his hoof twitched, daring to simply throw open the book. He moved it slowly towards the cover, and brought it to a ready position. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. He thrusted open the book.
A torrent of wind erupted from the books worn pages, along with a mass of blinding light. A piercing scream reached his ears as...
Paper Gaze shut the book with a large bang as the pages slammed into one another. His hair was completely disheveled and his glasses were made crooked. He prodded them back into their usual position as a shaky exhale escaped his muzzle.
He turned to leave, he sat up and began to trot quickly to the door.
That piercing scream reached his ears as the book, once again, bursted open. He turned around in fright, his brown eyes widening.
A ghostly unicorn mare emerged from the pages of the book, it’s fore-hoof claws like those of a dragon, it’s teeth like that of a serpents, and it’s eyes like that of the grim reaper. It spoke with a smooth wail, causing his ears to fold to the back of his head, once again, despite the sounds undertone of comfort. He could even feel his tail tuck between his legs as a prominent hiss filled the room. “My little pony,” she said, “why did you open me?”
His diapered swelled with urine, something the book took note of and enjoyed. Paper Gaze could not speak nor breath. He could not make any kind of response. His throat would not lessen it’s grip upon his voice. He stared at it dumbfounded.
“Should I wait for you to finish or...”
He looked back at his diaper as it continued to whisk away his urine, his face turning red at his apparent weakness in front of the creature. The padding began to feel heavy, far heavier than it should have. His rear legs began to buckle.
“Oh, you should know that little foals like yourself can’t stand until your older. You’re too weak and frail.”
He felt it grow heavier and heavier until his legs give out beneath him. He landed on his padded rear, an audible squish coming from it. His diaper felt like a ton of bricks! He looked back to her and was finally able to speak.
“Wh...Wh-o are you?” he asked.
The book gave a maniacal laugh. It’s presence filling his soul with dread. He could hear the hissing intensify in fright as his diaper swelled further and gave a prominent yellow tint.
“I am Queen Regalia of the Padded Kingdom!” It shouted. “And I have returned to you, my little ponies!”
Paper Gaze recognized the name. It was ancient.
The book also saw the recognition twinkle in his eyes. “So you do know of me.”
He nodded.
“Then you should rejoice!” It wailed in glee once again.
Paper Gaze could feel his tail hike at the sound of it’s screeching as a large load of manure entered into the still swelling padding. He could feel his face scrunch up as he continued to try and converse as best he could.
“Queen Regalia!” He shouted. It looked to him with piqued intrigue. “Do you know a way to cure our incontinence?”
It laughed with a decrepit voice, the smoothness that it’s usual tone carried being replaced with a disgustingly scratchy sound. “Cure you? Why, my little pony, you are just perfect the way you are. Weak and dependent upon your queen for love and attention.”
It’s clawed hooves rose as a finger beckoned him forward. He felt himself slowly float off the ground and towards the creature’s cold eyes and sharp teeth. He could feel the mess in the back of his diaper bulge and the swelling of his padding increase evermore. It’s jagged mouth opened wide. The back of it’s throat like a bright and hypnotic light. His eyes were lured to it as his mind left him. He could focus on nothing but the light.
“Come,” it spoke, “let me kiss you.”
The creature’s mouth opened wider as Paper Gaze approached ever closer. He could feel his body go limp.
It’s eyes widened in terror as it let out one more piercing cry before it was drawn back into the book and an armored hoof closed it with a thud.
Paper Gaze fell back to the floor, his messy diaper squishing on the brick floor and causing him to cringe. His focus returned to him as he looked up to the guard. That same guard that had stood vigilant at the entrance of the library. The hissing still continued as he felt a few droplets of urine hit the floor, the padding well saturated before it finally stopped.
“I’m sure her majesty would love to see you now so you can explain what happened,” he spoke with that stern tone. He looked at the gray earth pony with an absolutely used diaper, wild mane, and crooked glasses with frustration.
Paper Gaze felt his stomach droop. He was not going to enjoy this one bit.

Tales From a Padded Kingdom
Chapter Three: Mix-up (Trade)
“Hello?” a cerulean pegasus spoke, walking through the doorway of the boutique as his green eyes scoured the large mannequin filled room, searching for anypony that might be present. He swiveled his ears and adjusted his dark cobalt mane with one of his feathery wings to make himself a tad more presentable (in all honesty, he did it to quell his annoyance at a single strand he felt continued to spring out of place, no matter what he tried). White paint-like splotches covered his muzzle and his legs as if he were wearing stockings that blended well with his bulbous white padding that crinkled with each little motion he would make.
Mix-up continued to tread forward slowly, the wooden floorboards of the tailor’s shop creaking occasionally beneath him. The mannequins that he saw were organized around the shop within their own little open displays, all sporting iconic outfits with well-fitted neckties, vests, coats, and of course: diapers, encompassing a circular platform that was placed in the center of the shop with a small reception desk about five yards in front of it, near the store’s entrance.
He wasn’t quite sure what to make of it. Visiting from Cloudsdale, the concept of diapers as a fashion accessory was a tad strange to him. Apparently, it was also seen as a sign of independence to the ponies of the Padded Kingdom. Being free to go where you wanted—whenever you wanted. He disagreed, but found the diaper did make a nice cushion on his rump, especially on the bumpy train ride to the city.
“It doesn’t feel too bad, either,” Mix-up thought to himself.
He took another step towards the relatively plain reception desk. On it were a few rolls of string and a brass call bell, the bell being a tempting allure. He swiveled his ears one more time, before he lifted his hoof and softly tapped the bell.
Ding!
Suddenly, a cacophony of noises sounded off above him as if he had turned on a switch. Shouting and shuffling could be heard on the second floor as he gave an instinctive step back from the call bell and turned his gaze towards the stairs at the back of the room. Two mares came tumbling out into the main gallery of the boutique. The first was a young unicorn mare with a wild red mane and tail, along with an orange coat and silver eyes—eyes which drew his gaze due to their stark dullness compared to the rest of her strikingly colorful body. She was smaller than the average mare, but still quite slender in figure.
The second was an old pegasus with aged white hair folded in a bun to the back and a dull magenta coat and blue eyes, worn but still burning with a fiery passion. Both wore white diapers that crinkled with every step and nervous smiles as they approached him.
Mix-up couldn’t help but look bewildered at the two mares, being surprised by their clumsy appearance. He cleared his throat and spoke. “Are you the owners of this establishment?”
“Oh, yes! Yes, mhmm... yes,” the old mare spoke as she moved quickly to his side and began inspecting him, his eyes hardly able to follow. Quite frankly, he was surprised by her agility, despite her age and padding. “You want a suit, do you not. Yes, you’ll do well to have one.”
“Of course, why else else would I have come?” the cerulean pegasus said, taking a nervous step away from the old mare. She continued to look him over, regardless—prodding his wings and legs in weird ways, as if he were some strange creature that had appeared upon her doorstep. “I’m looking for a nice looking suit for an art exhibition I’m going to.” The old mare nodded as she began prodding his padding. “Eep!” He took a quick step away, once again.
The younger mare walked up far more carefully than the elder, almost like one would do with a nervous animal. “I’m sorry for my grandmother’s... outgoing behavior.”
“That’s putting it mildly,” Mix-up mumbled to himself. The old pegasus mare continued to look him over, her hooves tracing his body carefully now, before she turned her gaze to look at both her granddaughter and the new client. Both gave an expectant stare. She mumbled to herself, giving one more glance before rushing off to the back of the boutique. Mix-up couldn’t help but give a sigh of relief as she left.
The young mare looked back to him with a small smile. “She does that with every new customer that walks through those doors.” Her eyes suddenly widened as she gave a small gasp, jarring the stallion from his stupor. “Oh, pardon me for not introducing myself to you earlier.” She gave a small bow before speaking once again. “I’m am Scarlet Needle, and welcome to the Rainbow Needle: fashion made with passion!” She waved her hands with a contagious form of excitement, drawing a small chuckle from the cerulean pegasus.
“Well done!” He spoke with a small chorus of claps. “Now, allow me to introduce myself.” The stallion stepped back as if dancing and moved his form with elegance into a small bow of his own, his wings unfurled—his right over his heart, and his left stretched out into the open space of the shop. “I am Sir Mix-up.” He rose his head and gave a small smile. “It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance.”
She was a tad surprised by the formality of his introduction, before a twinkle of realization hit her. She smiled. “You are of nobility, aren’t you?”
“Perceptive,” was the terse response he gave.
“Grandmother always said I had keen eyes, just like her,” she said with a tinge of pride entering her tone.
“Speaking of which,” Mix-up spoke offhandedly, “Where is that crazed mare you call your grandmother?”
Scarlet gave him a small glare, but otherwise made no other sign of disapproval before she answered his question. “She’s probably finding a suit that will fit your measurements.”
“But she hasn’t even...” his eyes widened in his own realization.
“Perceptive,” she spoke with a small smirk.
He recollected his thoughts, surprise still evident in his voice. “Yes she is,” he stated. “Unnaturally so, apparently.”
Hoof-steps reached his ears as the old mare returned with what appeared to be...
A blush began to spread across his muzzle as his right wing pointed to the outfit on her back. “I-is that...”
“Hmm...” the young unicorn mare looked at him with an inquisitive glance. “Do you not know what an undershirt is?”
“That’s not an undershirt!” he cried out. “That’s a onesie, for Celestia‘s sake!”
“Oh, yes. You are an Equestrian, yes?” the old mare asked as she brought the onesie like undershirt out upon her back.
“Cloudsdale pegasus, more precisely.”
“Well then,” spoke Scarlet, “that explains your confusion.” Mix-up still gave her a questioning glance, prompting a sigh from the young unicorn mare as she picked up the onesie like article of clothing with her velvet magic and held it in the air to be clearly seen. “While I can understand some confusion, an undershirt and a onesie are two separate articles of clothing. A onesie does not have a collar, does not have a pleated front, and is generally made with much more casual use in mind—whereas an undershirt is much more formal. The difference is quite obvious upon closer inspection.”
His green eyes looked it over, and yes, upon closer inspection, the difference could be clearly seen. It looked very much like a onesie in form, as it would be covering his forelegs, with the exceptions of the hooves, as it cut off at the cufflinks, and his diapered rump, but there was nothing covering the hind legs. Usually a onesie would cover the entire body. A collar also adorned the top of the shirt and had a pleated front that ran all the way down to the back. The back, where the diaper would be held, was covered in white frills and seemed to accentuate his rear. He thought it a curious garment, but was still a tad reluctant. However, after a moment, he decided to give it a shot. He was in a foreign land. Not trying some of this lands fashion would be a waste of such a trip, along with the fact that he needed it. “It didn’t look half bad, either.”. That final statement he would never really admit to. Not in a million years.
“Very well then,” he spoke, albeit with some hesitance.
“Perfect!” the young unicorn mare said with a small giggle. “Please,” she spoke, pointing to the circular platform in the center of the shop, “step on the platform and we’ll get started.”
Mix-up did what she asked of him and stepped onto the platform. It was a tad tall, he would admit, but no different than something of a large step. His diaper crinkled loudly as he adjusted his position atop the platform, prompting a couple of small smiles to form on the mares’ muzzles.
“Alright,” Scarlet started, “stand up on your hind-legs for me.”
Mix-up continued to do what was asked of him. He stood on his hind-legs and saw as the undershirt was unbuttoned by the velvet magic and was brought behind him. He stretched his hooves and wings, allowing the article of clothing to be placed on him, albeit with some complications. It was a tad difficult for the young unicorn mare as his legs buckled slightly due to the uneasiness of having a diaper widen his gait. “Try not squirming so much. You’re making this really difficult.”
“You stand up with your hind-legs on a platform wearing a big bulbous diaper and see how long you last,” was the retort he gave.
The undershirt was put on, regardless of the wriggling coming from the stallion. The buttons were put in place and a red tie was wrapped around his collar. It made the piece and looked rather dashing, if a little foalish in his opinion. No matter how much formality you added to a onesie, it would still be a onesie. A blush slightly covered his muzzle. “I still feel this is a little... undignified.”
“Don’t be silly,” Scarlet said. “Now, you can stand back on your forelegs, but I’m gonna need you to close your eyes.” He returned to his normal posture and closed his eyes, just as he was asked to. He heard the young unicorn mare’s magic come to life once again, as something was put atop his head and tied around his chin. “Ok, you can open em’,” she said, a small giggle escaping her lips.
He opened his eyes, a bit curious as to what she had put on his head and looked to the mirror that she levitated towards him. A cute pink bonnet was strapped around his head. His face turned red as a tomato as he tore it off with a wing and glared at the now bawling unicorn mare. She laughed on the floor, a hoof slamming against the ground. She was enjoying this way too much. “Scarlet! This better not come with the piece!” he whined, though he couldn’t help but let a small smile form at the edges of his lips. The old grandmother simply gave a chuckle before she went back up the stairs to find a nice vest and jacket that would do well the cerulean stallion. Perhaps something red to go with that nice bow tie of his.
“I’m sorry!” she spoke, wiping a tear from her eye as she stifled her laughter. “I just couldn’t help myself. No, it doesn’t come with the suit... but if you want it-” the bonnet hit her face with a silent thud as she looked back up at the embarrassed stallion.
“No thank you,” he stated, “I’d rather not parade through the city with such foalish attire.”
“Aww,” Scarlet teased, “but you looked so cute!”
“Silence!”
Mix-up, despite the embarrassment, actually found the banter quite endearing and, if he were to admit it, quite amusing as well. A small smile crept upon his face.
The happiness he felt did not last as a sudden pang of desperation hit him, causing his small smile to turn into a grimace. He needed to pee. Despite him doing so once before, he did so in the privacy of the inn room he had bought out for the week. Now, here he was, standing upon a platform in front of two mares (one presently unaccounted for) having to use the bathroom. A blush began to spread across his muzzle once again. He knew he should have went when he felt it back in the inn room, but he thought he could hold it, at least until he’d returned.
“Hey, you alright?” Scarlet asked as she waited for her grandmother to come back with some more suit pieces.
“I’m fine.” Mix-up did not know how to respond. He had never been in such a situation before. This was teetering on being a very awkward conversation.
“Are you sure?” she prodded once more.
He bit his lip as he turned his gaze away from her, his legs shuffling slightly as the intensity for release grew. He didn’t know if he should tell her he had to use the restroom or if he could get-
“Do you have to go?”
His eyes widened in surprise, turning to the size of pinpricks at her apparent awareness of his situation. He turned to her in panic. “What! No of course not! I-“ he jerked over as another pang of desperation shot through his bladder. He looked back to her as she gave a knowing stare. “Yeah, ok, fine. I have to go.”
Both stood there in silence, say for the crinkling of the stallion’s diaper as he fidgeted his form. She gave a small set of slow nods. “Ok,” she spoke, trying not to make him anymore distressed than he already was. “Are you gonna go or...”
“I can’t,”
“Well why not?” she asked with annoyance, her hoof tapping against the wooden floor as she swayed her tail impatiently.
“Because... well... you’re kinda...”
“Mix-up, you think this is uncommon for me?” she asked with a questioning gaze.
“Well it’s uncommon for me as I would rather not piss my britches in front of a pretty mare like you!” he hissed.
She gave pause to his statement before she spoke. “You think I’m pretty?” She smirked, causing the stallion to blush even further.
“T-that’s not the point!” He spoke, trying to regain his composure. “The point is, I need some privacy or...”
“Yes, I’m back, yes,” the old pegasus mare stated as she returned with a white jacket and red vest.
Scarlet turned back to him with an empathetic smile. “Guess you’ll have to hold it, then.”
Mix-up quietly whined as he continued to stand atop the platform, his form fidgeting as the young unicorn mare’s magic helped him put the two pieces on. He felt the pressure in his gut only intensify as he stood there, trying on the vest and jacket. Every time he moved a wave of desperation would wash over him.
“A mirror for him, yes,” the old grandmother spoke.
“Of course,” Scarlet replied, levitating the mirror once again.
He looked himself over in passing. His thoughts were solely on holding in his urgency until he was alone once again. He could not help but feel this whole situation wouldn’t have happened if he weren’t so stubborn. He could’ve just gone when he felt it, but nope! He just had to try to hold-
His eyes widened as his bladder cut loose. A faint hissing noise permeated the air as he felt the padding whisk away his urine, causing the diaper to swell and turn a yellow hue under the frills of the shirt. The warmth of his accident spread across his thighs, making his blush return in full force once again. All he could do is stand atop the platform and watch with silent horror as the size of his diapered rear grew in the mirror.
“Well...” the old mare asked.
Mix-up stood still for a second longer until her words reached his ears. He shook his head and put on a nervous smile as he spoke. “I-umm... think it’s w-wonderful, if a bit-“ he stopped himself before he could say his final word. The irony of such a statement would have surely been pointed out. After all, they must have know what he had just done!
His bladder’s store of urine turned into a small dribble before it came to a stop. He gave a quiet sigh, thankful that it was over. His diaper now felt warm and squishy, drooping slightly as well but being held tight to his rear due to the form fitting nature of the undershirt.
He needed to be alone to get out of this soggy diaper. He mumbled to himself, thinking on how best to do so before speaking. “I would like a moment to think about my... umm... new attire, before proceeding any further.”
The old mare gave an incredulous look, before she nodded and turned away from him. “Yes. Very well. Take care of him Scarlet, now will you?”
“Of course, grandmother,” she replied with a nod.
The old pegasus mare trotted forward to return to the back of the shop. Once she walked up the stairs, Mix-up gave a thankful sigh to Celestia for his good fortune. The only one left now was Scarlet, who was still looking at the stairs to which her grandmother had ascended. Scarlet turned back to him and spoke. “Alright, now let’s get you changed.”
“W-what!” Mix-up feigned, “what do you mean by...”
Her horn glew that soft velvet as he felt the buttons at the back of his undershirt come loose to reveal his used diaper, which now hung loosely from his hips. His face continued to burn a tomato red as she lended him a hoof which he timidly accepted. She guided him off the platform as if he were a foal. He felt so childish! He chided himself in his head as he looked at her with a glare. “Not. A. Word.”
She rolled her eyes. “Of course, your shyness.”
Mix-up gave a small grunt of disapproval but nonetheless followed her to a small room in the back of the shop. She opened the door to the room, revealing a wooden table with a padded cloth surface. Underneath of it were a few changing supplies, including of course: diapers.
She brought him in and laid him atop the table, before her horn became alit once more and began undoing the tapes. He wanted to protest, but found himself lacking the words to do so.
“I don’t understand you Equestrians and your norms. Holding your bladder must be painful and unhealthy,” Scarlet said in passing as she raised his rump and pulled the diaper out from under him while also pulling the undershirt higher up his waist, revealing his belly and all.
“It’s no different than you and your diapers. Running around wearing tainted cloth. Have you ever thought it might carry some sort of disease?” He saw her unfold a new diaper from underneath the changing table and lay it under his rump, pulling his tail through the tail hole before lowering him atop the soft padding.
“We are very sanitary. It’s one of our many traits as a kingdom.” She grabbed a tub of powder and began sprinkling it upon his groin, making sure that his crotch was well layered in the white powder.
“Oh, really? Then do tell how you dispose of these things,” he questioned, pointing to the padding that was being folded over his crotch.
“Hmm...” she thought upon the inquiry as she recalled what she knew upon the matter. “I think it’s decomposed using a chemical substance and turned into a fertilizer that is used inside our crops. I’m not sure.”
“That’s disgusting!”
“Hey, don’t you fertilize your crops using cow manure?” she retorted.
Mix-up actually didn’t think about that one.
The diaper was snuggly fitted to his waist and the undershirt and all of the clothes were put back into place. He stood up from the changing table and stretched his wings. “At least your mat is soft.”
“I’m glad you enjoyed it.” She smirked. “Usually Equestrians don’t enjoy getting changed by a stranger as much as you did. They always ask to do it themselves.”
“Did not!”
“Did too!” She laughed and brought him back out to the main section of the store. “But no more about that. What do you think of the suit?”
“I...” he thought upon it carefully. “Can I... see myself in the mirror one more time?”
She giggled, but nonetheless brought the mirror back to him. With his mind no longer focusing on his dying bladder, he could actually get a look at the suit he was wearing. The red of the vest and bow tie did well to contrast against his cerulean coat. His green eyes could not help but stare at the accentuated rump as the frills enlarged it to a degree, making him smile a bit at the cuteness of it all. He may have found his attire a tad foalish, but he found he looked rather dashing as well. “I... like it. I suppose.”
“That’s great to hear! Another happy customer at our boutique,” she quipped.
“Glad to see that your happy about my onesie-esque attire,” he sarcastically replied, a smile returning to his muzzle.
“It’s not a onesie,” she replied. “Don’t be mean.”
“As you have been?” he spoke, this time the smirk forming on his lips.
“I like to call it playful banter.” She walked behind the counter and registered his order. He walked up to the front and pulled out his coin pouch from under his wing. “That’ll be five hundred bits!” He gave her the coinage and turned to the door. “Would you like to take off that outfit?”
Mix-up looked at himself once again, before he turned his head back to her. He had actually planned on taking it off as soon as possible, but he was struck with a wave of confidence. “Nah,” he replied. “I think I’m good.” He walked through the entrance and back onto the busy city streets towards his tavern inn. He thought back upon his treatment at the boutique. The teasing, the embarrassment, the amusement. He rather enjoyed her company. “Maybe I might want another suit,” he spoke to himself, strutting in his new suit, excited to return to the Rainbow Needle.
As he trotted the door, his diaper crinkling under his suit, he did not hear Scarlet whisper to herself, “what an interesting Equestrian. I kinda liked him.”
