Perspective: Jason

Great. Just great. More fucking darkness. I guess this is what being dead is actually supposed to be, at least temporarely anyway. I can feel nothing as I now sit here wondering what is to happen next. The only thing showing evidence of there being something, was the fact that I am somehow standing in the middle of a void. All I can do is sit here and wait. Wait for what I wonder?

As I contemplate this, I start to hear things. Like whispering voices. I can't quite make it out , but there are quite a few voices speaking all together. All I actually make out of the combined voices are, " He is the one", "He is their guardian", and "The knight". I keep hearing all of these voices, but never actually see anyone. Come to think of it, it's starting to get louder and bothersome. As the voices start to get louder I put my hands over my ears in an attempt to drown out all of the voices. The voices just keep going and going, getting louder and louder. When will this end? It's starting to become torture.

"Ah!" I scream out due to the volume of the voices coming at me all at once.

"Make them stop! Pease!" I pleaded. The voices were getting even louder and started to cause me a great deal of discomfort. I closed my eyes and tightened the grip on the side of my head in a futile attempt to keep the voices out. And then, just like that, it all stopped. The voices I mean. I looked up confused and curious as to what had happened to the voices. But when I looked up, I actually could not believe my eyes. Standing in front of me, were three cloaked figures with the hoods draped over their heads.

"Who are you people? Where am I at? How did you even get here?" Now I'm just confused. Who are these people and what are they doing here?" I waited for a reply for a bit. Finally one spoke . By the sound of the voice, I was guessing that the person talking was a female.

" We know that you have questions for us. To answer two of your questions though, we are the Watchers. Currently we are nowhere on the plain of reality. Where we are doesn't really exist. As for how we got here, we can't unfortunatly tell you that." Well now I at least have some knowledge about these people, but now there was a question that had to be answered for the sake of my sanity.

" What do you want with me?" That question rang in my head for a hot minute. I mean, they must want something if they are making such an effort to say something to me." I mean is there a reason that you are here?"

The mysterious woman that talked to me beforehand looked at my and replied with a serious tone, " We are here for you Jason Wright. We are here because we believe you to be the Chosen One." Now... Now I'm deadass confused about what this lady just said to me. The Chosen One? The Chosen One for what exactly? I'm I just going to be the lightskin version of Luke Skyywalker or something?

" The Chosen One? Whatever do you mean by that?" This has to be answered. I need to know what exactly is going on here. Like is there a secret agenda here? You know what? Maybe I'm not dead and I'm just asleep dreaming this weird ass dream.

" Like I said, we are your Watchers. We have watched you for very long time and have reason to believe that you are the one to protect them in their darkest hour." What. The. Hell. Am I on right now? Actually, am I high on that crazy stuff right now? Who is they? Protect?

"Who am I protecting? What the hell is acually going on?" I'm beginning to lose it. Non of this crap makes sense. This is starting to get on my nerves.

" We've given you the means to protect them, but the question is, will you protect them?" I have so many questions for this lady right now. I want to ask her, but I can't piece them together.

*Rumble*

What is that sound?

" It is time to go now. We hope that you protect them with your life. For now you are reborn. Welcome home Electric Knight." Hold up. What did she call me?

On that note, a huge white light burts from behind the mysterious people and then procceded to suck them away. I other hand did not go out the same way. The ground began to crack, and give way. Shortly it swallowed me up and everthing went numb.

2 hours later

Uuugggghhhh, my head. I don't feel so great. Why can't I see. I can feel things around me, but I can't see anything. Oh. I found the problem. Huh, my eyes are closed. I opened my eyes and was met with darkness, but not complete darkness. It was nightime right now. Other than the nightime setting, I have absolutly no idea where I am right now. I'm in a small clearing surrounded by a forested area. But how did I get to a forest? I don't think I'm in Kansas anymore.

Well now I just have to find out where specifically. Especially because there is probably predators here and I'm not trying to become some walking talking chocolate bar for the next thing looking for a bit to eat. Well then on that note, I take my leave and set on my journey throught the forest.

You know what? This isn't all that bad, walking through this forest I mean. Its quite nice. It's nothing compared to the sunsets on the beach, but its up there. A new change of scenry and some good fresh air. I feel very calm ad relaxed right now.

*Grrrrrrrrr*

"Ok I know I'm not hearing things. What in the wide wide world of planet Earth was that?" That didn't even sound like any animal that I've ever heard before. I need to get out of this forest as soon as I can before I become somebody's dinner." Know having an actually reason to actually get out of this forest, I start to jog nervously into a straight direction.

1hour later

*Guuuurrrrgggg*

Looking down at my stomach, I put a hand on it and hold it while at the same time feeling little shakes coming from said stomach.

"Crap. I need to find something to eat but I'm still lost in this forest. If I don't find something to eat soon my mood is going to go sour rather fast." After thinking for a moment I decided to look for food in the forest. After about a ten minute search I come across the most beautiful wild food that has been descovered by mankind. Blueberries. A whole entire goddamn bush of wild blueberries. Suddenly feeling energiezed about coming into contact with food, I make a beeline straight for the bush covered in the delicious blue fruits.

As soon as I get to the blueberry bush I quickly grab handfuls of them and simultaniously stuff my face. I could literally live off of this stuff for the rest of my life. If only my body would let me do that. Stupid dietary needs. More and more blueberries get grasped by my hands and soon swallowed to be later digested in my stomach.

After about ten miutes of this I had reached my limit. "That's it. I'm done with these. I want to eat more but I don't think I have enough room for a single berry anymore. No more berries, I can't take it anymore." With a big sigh amd a full belly, I make my way through the forest once again. With nothing better to do I start to think to myself about the most recent events that have occurred in last few hours.

Ok, so first I'm having a good day at work on a nice summer day talking to dear friend of mine. Then I'm going home to go hang with Sarah, my sister. Right when I see her at the house s a mysterious storm comes out of nowhere and then electricutes me. My sister was hovering over me crying and on the phone with emergency services. Next thing I know I'm in a hospital bed with only a few minutes left to live. All of the sudden I start having a seizure, next thing I know I'm talking to cloaked people and then wake up in a random forest in the middle of nowhere. Yeah that's a lot ofthings to take in at once. Yeah, in my mind thats not really a good way to end the day, considering it was late in the evening when this all started.

*SNAP

" What the hell was that?" I do a a quick 180 in an attempt to find the source of the noisebut find nothing." Whose there?" No response. I don't know, but I think that someone or something is out here and is watching me." Show yourself immediatly of suffer the consequences!" Huh, what am I talking about? If that's a wild ass animal, I'm going to metaphorically raped. This is starting to really put me on edge. Whatever or whoever is watching me, I think---

*Boing*

Oh. It was just a rabbit. I swear if I'm in this forest for to much longer, I'm going to have a heart attack. Well it looks like I can continue my walk throught the forest. At least hopefully this time I don't enconter something that might actually bring me some harm. Now, off to Wonderland. Just joking, but in all seriousness, I've got to be getting close to getting out of the forest, I've been walking for hours.

*RRRRROOOOAAAARRR*

I whip around with a quick 180 and I could not believe my eyes. Standing right in front of me was a lion, but this was no ordianary lion. This one had wings like a bat and had a tail that looked like its from a scorpian."I don't think I'm in Forida anymore", I quickly say as I turn around and run as fast as I possibly can.

*RRRRROOOOAAARRRR*

"AAAAHHHHH!!!" I scream as the lion bat scorpian thing starts to give chase in order to turn me into it's next meal. Unfourtunatly for me I'm not as fast as this beast and it catches up with me fairly quickly. It gets as close as it can to me and gives me good smack.

The force of the impact was enough to send me into a nearby tree. I hit the tree so hard that it knocked the wind out of me. As I lie there on the ground the creature starts to slowly, but surely, close the gap between me and it, studing me and thinking about all of the pain it's going to make me feel. I sit up against the tree and stare at it with wide eyes.

"Am I going to die? Again? Death by failed hybrid experement? This is the worst day of my entire life", I say as the beast gets closer to me. Finally it gets within four feet of me and manages to crack a sinister smile as it brings up it's massive paw in a final strike to claim my life. I watch in slow motion as it brings it's paw down upon me. In a final effort to protect myself, I
close me eyes and bring my arms up and thrust them towards the monster. And in the fraction of a second later I hear a cry of pain. I crack open my eyes and can not truly believe what I saw. Before me was the lion but what made it very suprising was the newly formed hole in the middle of it's chest. Around the hole I could see little traces of electricity. I look at my hands and they have the same little traces of electricity dancing between my fingers. I look back at the animal and hear it let out a pained groan and watched it fall to the ground, unmoving." What the hell did I just do?" They stress of everything finally got to me and I fall back against the tree, passed out. What I never noticed though, was the rainbow colored creature watching from the clouds above after being awoken from a flash of blue light

"Sweet Celestia! What the hay was that!? That this just took out a bucking Manticore in one blow! I'd better go get Twilight and go tell her about this.

Five Minutes Earlier

Perspective: Twilight Sparkle

Sleep. Sleep is something that I don't get too often. Mostly because of all of the studying that I do. Tonight though, was supposed to my break. Espestially after that failed experiment with that new spell. I was having the most wonderful dream too. I was dreaming of standing beside Princess Celestia with her looking down on me with such a prideful exspression. After all of the years of hardwork, I finally stand beside her as her most prized student. The dream would have been better if it wasn't so shortly lived due to a certain rainbow maned pony crashing through my balcony doors in the middle of the night.

Present

" Rainbow Dash! Why did you blast through my doors and wake mem up?" To be honest I was not in the mood for this. I was having an excellent dream and I was getting a decent amount of sleep for the first time in a long time. Whatever Rainbow Dash came barging into my library for, in the middle of the night better be important." Rainbow, what is the reason for you to barge into my home and wake me up?

" Twilight, you'd never guess what I just saw!" Dash exclaimed.

" Well what was it?

"That's just it. I don't know. It was some two legged light brown colored creature."

"Oh. Well that doesn't sound too bad. How much harm could it really do? And there can't be that many of them considering that that creature doesn't sound familiar. Let me go look." I said as I got up and went downstairs to look for any information about this creature Rainbow found.

" Hhhmmm, let's see. Two legged creatures... well that's odd. " I say generally confused.

" What is it Twilight? "she asked.

" Well it appears that the creature you saw doesn't seem to be in any records that I have. You may have stumbled upon a new species! We will look for it in a few hours when the sun comes up. Let the others know to come here in the morning so we can get prepared".

"Aye aye captain" and with a quick salute rainbow takes off into the night sky.

Well I'd better get back to bed and get as much rest as possible. "We've got a big day tomorrow."

I'm sorry that this took so long. I've been procrastinating and forgetting about this. I've been working and have been getting tired to the point where I'm just finding any reason to sleep but it's here now. And because this is my first story, any helpful criticism is appreciated.
