I had become a uncle to 5 new pups I was jumping for joy Serenity had given birth and all the pups looked healthy, but my attention had gone off of Serenity's first litter and back to mute who was still asleep and I licked his snout with mine to see if he was awake and he barely reacted I could see him panting as he was cold and shivering so I tried tk get him warm by laying almost on top of him so that i could provide him with a source of heat and hopefully get better as I already miss playing with him and it hasn't even been 1 day i start to cry as I do not want to lose the member of my pack that I am closest to I started to sleep as I saw Butterfly provide the 3 small ponies with blankets and she came and sat by me and nuzzled me so I licked her back as I yawned she started to stroke my head and It was such a soft touch that I quickly became engulfed by sleep.

I woke up and was surprised that we were all inside of Butterfly's cottage and I quickly remember why and place my head back down only to immediately shoot back up to check on the pups and Serenity. The pups had slept nicely as we had not woken up once during the night and they had woken up and were starting to drink their milk I got to have a good look at each one but I couldn't give them names yet as they did not really have any sort of personality at this age and their eyes are closed so they couldn't see and I noticed one of the black pups was walking more like 'flopping' away so I went to keep an eye on them, they were adventurous but I gently picked them up by the back of their neck and bring him back his mother's side I nuzzle him, I am going to like him when he grows up.

I look over to Mute and he is breathing faster but is still out but his colour has returned and he is not panting as fast but I am still worried, i notice Mother is over there this is properly messing with her maternal instincts as she cannot help a member of the pack that is in pain so I go and nuzzle Mother as she is properly going through a lot and I wish I could thank Butterfly more but I do not know how to speak her language so I try to move my tongue to make different sounds but it just sounds like different tones of growls I think back to when Butterfly talked to me the first time and I remember the last word she said I try to say the word "Po...n...i" I say and wagged my tail as I have just said a word that the ponies use and this could be useful if I can learn more and more words and mabye I can teach my pack to talk like the ponies so Mute can tell Butterfly thank you.

Over the next hour I had managed to learn 3 more words as I could say "me" "wolf" and "word" and I got hungry so I went for a walk to try and find some food I go to the edge of the forest and find some squirrels I quickly pounce on one and eat it it wasn't a big meal but it would keep me full until we went hunting later.

I went back in and decided to explore the house as I and not managed to when I was being chased by the colourful pegasus so I walked around and found a way to go up to another place so I walk up and I smell Butterfly so this must be where she sleeps I look at her and notice that she is sleeping on something white so I lay with her by her hind legs as to not disturb her and manage to fall asleep this thing was softer then anything I had ever touched before and I never wanted to get up off of this, sleep takes me as I sleep at the foot of Butterfly's bed.

Fluttershy's POV
I slept well and I was happy as I helped 5 new puppies enter this world and I got to experience what it was like to be a member of a wolf pack properly.

I open my eyes and immediately notice that my bed is being weighed down, my breathing speeds up before I look and it is Howling Moon just sleeping calmly I try to get up without waking up but i fail and he opens those yellow eyes I see him concentrate on something so I look at him curious and I hear something I thought I would not hear and that is the word "pony"come from his mouth.

He pointed at me and called me a pony he is actually learning how to become a pony we said a word in equuish for the first time in I wish I could capture this moment as I give him a hug and he licks me and points to himself and says "me, wolf" well someone was busy learning some of the equuish language he is trying to have a conversation with me he points back at me and says "word" he wants me to talk so I quickly point at him and then at me and say "me and you friend" as I keep moving my hoof from pointing at him to pointing at me and he nods and concentrates for a little while and repeats with a roll of his Rs "you, me friend" his tail starts wagging and he starts jumping around like a member of the Cutie Mark Crusaders when they get a new idea for how to get their cutie marks I give him a hug "good job Howling Moon" I say congratulating him for this achievement.

We spent 30 more minutes teaching him words and he was learning quick but only short words but had learnt that his name that I call him is Howling Moon, after the 30 mins it was time for me to go and feed my animals and also to check on the new pups as I needed to make sure that she was not early and the pups were in danger of being premature, when I approached the mother i saw her ears flick and she looked at me and allowed me to check the pups this must be an aspect of wolf pack's that I am not aware of because she was sleeping separate from the males and even started to growl when Moon tried to walk closer to the pups as some males can be really aggressive towards and the pups and can eat them if they are left alone for too long, I approach the pups and gently nudge one with my muzzle as to be gently as my hoof could possibly press to hard and the little wolf nuzzles back and my heart explodes from cuteness as I see the mother watching over her pups guiding some of them to her teats and allowing them to feed.

Moon's POV
The pups continued to grow and when they were 8 weeks old they started to venture outside and they were bundles of joy alot of them were just like their mother they would chase some of the smaller animals that are around the house, they remix myself of me and the other pups when we were their age,and it excites me because we have new packmates to play with.

I was just sitting by the pups and studying them so I could see what kind of personality they have when all of a sudden I hear a knock at the door and I hear butterfly walk to the door and open it and it turns out to be the colourful Pegasus from the other day and this angers me as she tried hurting me so she might try to hurt the pups so I take a defensive stance infront of the pups to protect them.

3rd Person
Rainbow Dash knocked at Fluttershy's door and as she knocked she heard the high pitched yapping of a young dog and shengkt excited as Rainbow Dash had always been a fan of dogs but then her brain shifts to the weird batpony that was around the place last time she was here and how she tried to attack him and she felt bad for him which was weird as bat ponies like him had been hated by most pegasi as they were deemed as monsters being a pony with a griffins diet and the wings making them look like demons from equestrian legend always made them outcasts.

Fluttershy opens the doors and finds Rainbow Dash contemplating something so she waits for her to finish as it would be rude to interrupt during her thought process, eventually Rainbow Dash shakes her head and notices Fluttershy looking at her and nervously laughs "Oh hey Flutters and just wanted to come talk to you about. . You know HIM" Fluttershy stands her ground and says "I will only allow you in as long as you promise not to scare him or his family and you also have to be quiet and dont make any sudden movements as I am gonna tell you one of the wolves has had pups so just stand by me and dont move towards them as the mother is very defensive of every wolf in the house." Rainbow Dash gulps and readys herself and nods "Ok" and she shakes herself down and follows in Fluttershy.

Sorry about long wait I always have trouble progressing stories and as I also have a job which requires me to be working most of the day so I apologize but I also do not write on a schedule so updates will kind of just be when I get the ideas to continue the story
