20 Years before the destruction of Old Equestria

The four Alicorn princesses had gathered together in the Celestia and Luna's old castle, mainly to prevent being overheard by onlookers whilst discussing a matter of worldwide devastation.

"The matter we are here to discuss is grave indeed, a large cluster of debris is forming in space. According to my calculations we have 20 years give or take, to find a way to save the planet let alone Equestria." Twilight Sparkle said, looking directly to the others who returned her grave expression.

"I have devised several scenarios that are likely to work but only on is likeliest to succeed, my best level of success depends on the amount of magic we can muster." Twilight said as the others nodded in agreement.

"Whatever you need, we will provide my faithful student." Celestia said with confidence.

It had been a week since the meeting and twilight was going about how she would create the solid hologram and sustain it long enough to heal the land in later generations.

"Spike would you bring me the book on space stations written by that Pegasus astronomer please." Twilight said to Spike.

"Sure thing Twilight." Spike said.

He left the room and started searching the bookshelves for the book, and considering he had read the book before, he knew exactly what he was looking for.

He found it and took it straight to Twilight who thanked him and returned to her work.

"This should prove useful in figuring out a design for the lifeboat." Twilight muttered to herself, unaware that her friends were outside her room listening to her.

"Knock knock Twilight." Rainbow Dash said with a smirk, sending Twilight flying out of her seat.

"Don't do again or I swear I will send you into the moon and then defrost you in the sun." Twilight shouted in complete fury, soon realizing that Rainbow Dash hadn't meant to scare her.

"Sorry Rainbow, I've just been on edge lately, and I can't tell you why at the moment." Twilight said after calming down.

"We were just wondering if ya wanted to stay over at Pinkies place." Rainbow said with a smile.

"Sure, I'd love to, it would be a welcome break." Twilight said, momentarily forgetting all the worry she had a few minutes ago.
