Load Full StoryNext Chapter"It was a quiet night. A light like any other. The crickets chirped as their sound filled the outside, and the empty sound of nothing echoes through my home. I never would've expected to one day wake up. I twitch in my bed I feel sudden chills, and shivers run through my. I think nothing of it, for I'm sure it just all in my head. I slowly opened my eyes. All was black and empty, like if my eyes were still shut. A voice calls out to me."
"You have been chosen... Arise, Hero..."
"I flinch from my bed, and slowly reopen my eyes. I blinked for a few times, for I thought I saw seeing the sky moving. And the weird feeling as if though I was being carried. Am I dreaming? Before I can think anything of it, I fall back asleep. It felt like mere moments before I was woken up again. I began to yawn, and from the corner of my eye I see a bright light, just appear in my dreams, just before I awoke to somewhere that wasn’t my own."
"Huh?"
"I raise from the bed I was in and rubbed my eyes, blinking as the flash soon begins to fade away. It became very dark, and then this strange ominous humming sound started playing in my ear. Room lights soon lit up a bit, illuminating the darkness, very slightly. And when I looked up, I gaze upon some strange humanoid, and feminine creature of the night, her skin as dark a shadow. I become confused. Who was this creature? And where am I?"
Moon's Vale
"What?"
The young male laid upon an expensive bed or silk coverings, and massive bedroom, decorated in an almost gothic like design. He gazed upon the feminine creature before him, his mind shifting between fear and fascination. She was dressed in black plate armor, with spiked designs on her shoulders, boots, and gauntlets, and a suit of chainmail laid beneath. She wore a helmet over her head, and a unicorn-like horn stuck straight out of the top side of her forehead.
"Ah, good, you’re up" she says. Her voice brash and commanding, but very arousing.
“I am? Up where exactly?" he inquires.
The creature smiled at this odd looking male in question, her eyes displaying an almost sexual intrigue in him. She slowly approaches him. "You are in my palace, my dear child," her arms raised up, showing off the room. "I brought you here to serve me" she continued. Her eyes suggestively stared at me.
The man, smiles lightly. Believing this to be a dream, he decides to oblige. "Oh wonderful, sure." Looking back, he ponders his thoughts for a bit. "Best make the best of this lucid dream" he says to himself. Overhearing him, the creature laughed. She approached him closer, swaying her hips as she walked. He then noticed her tail and feathered wings.
"My dear boy... Who said you were dreaming?" she teases with a smug grin.
Now standing on the standing beside this man's bed, she slowly laid herself down beside him. The man blushes red, as this feminine creature slowly presses her body against his. She playfully caresses his cheek. "This is all very real, my dear child" she tells him.
The man blushes, entranced by her beauty. She wraps her arms around him, giving a sly, sensual smile, charmed by his shy innocence. She slowly picks herself up onto his bed. Now laying on top of him, face to face, she begins to run her fingers through his messy hair. "What the matter?" she inquires. "Do I intimidate you?"
"N-no…you’re beautiful, whatever you are." The man admits, crossing his legs tightly.
The creature slowly straightens herself up, now in a sitting position on top of his body. With another very sensual like smile, she placed her hands over my head in an alluring position. "Oh really?" she inquires. "Do go on.” She was curious to hear this creature speak words of flattery to her.
"Well, you look elegant and…exotic," says the man, "with your dark, cat looking eyes."
"Mmm. And what of the rest of me, boy?" she moaned.
"Your armor looks fierce…and you have a…gorgeous body."
Relishing in his honeyed words, and taken by the obvious look of shyness he had, she began to run her hands across his chest. Teasing him with a look of arousal in her eyes. "Such a flatter, aren’t you?" She bites her lower lip, marveling his masculine figure. While hidden behind clothes, she could sense he was obviously very slim. "I think I’m going to like you" she remarked. "What be thy name, boy?"
"It’s…Eldric, ma’am." The man replied with nervousness in his voice.
"Eldric? What an interesting name."
"Thank you, you’re too kind…so who are you?" he inquires.
The creatures slowly get off the bed and begin to pace the room. "I go by many names child" she began. "Lady of the Night. Mistress of Dark. The Empress of Shadow. The Somber Mother." Approaching a window door which lead to a balcony, she stares out to the distance through the glass. "Nocturnal Queen" she continued. "Baroness of Nightfall. Nightmare Mother. Many names."
"What do you call yourself?" he asks.
"I go by my first given. The Mare of the Moon. Nightmare Moon."
"Oh…cool. Though you’re too beautiful to be scary."
She blushed at the mention of this creatures words. Unbeknownst to him, that was the first time someone ever told her anything like that. She turned back to view him. She was unsure of how to respond. She was happy by the comment of her beauty, but couldn't help but feel just a bit disgraced. "What do you mean by that?" she asks.
"Well, you’re less like a dark overlord and more like a tempting seductress…If that makes any sense?" he says honestly.
"What do you mean, less like a dark overlord?" asked the Nightmare Moon, with a bit of outrage. She knew now how to feel. While she did enjoyed having her beauty commented on, she was not going to stand for someone not acknowledging her power. "I don’t live up to my name!?" she scoffed, approaching him with anger in her eyes.
"Uh…eh…I’m sorry, you are kinda scary." Eldric sitting on his bed, trying to back away from her.
She slowly smiled. It was obvious this creature was not of this world, and didn’t know her customs, cultures, and the formalities she's used to receiving. She began to giggle. "Your naivety amuses me boy. I think I will enjoy having you." She crosses an arms, holding the elbow of the other, her finger pressed against her cheek, pondering. "Yes... You'll do perfectly."
"Oh…well, thanks I guess." Eldric blushes at the sound her beauteous voice.
Using her horns magic, her magic she pulls him out of the bed and dragged him slowly towards her. Eldric was astonished and terrified by this sudden display of power, as he began to glow in a dark blue aura of light, and slowly lifted into the air. He slowly hovered towards her, being gently set back down on the floor on his feet. The two now stood face to face. At that, Moon began walking around, circling him. She was examining his body from head to toe.
The man wore simple white slippers, and grey pajama pants, with a matching pajama shirt, over a white tank-top. His skin was pale white, and his eyes, as black as the night. As dark as her violet skin. His hair, the same color, and very messy, with very short beard. He was also pretty tall, almost as tall as her, and was a little bit thinner than she was expecting him to be.
"Hmm, you’re thinner than I thought you'd be" she told him. "I hope you’re not malnourished."
She continued to circle him, examining his back side. "Perfect shoulders" she thought. "Okay posture". She began to smile slowly. "Oh, if only I could see what he looked like underneath those clothes." She let out a soft, sad sounding sighed, as she stared at his rear end. Eldric turned back to her, concern in his mind. "What’s wrong?" he asked with concern. Moon replied with a smirk.
"Oh. It's Nothing."
He looked at her with a confused face. She walks back around and looks at him face to face. "Hmm" she thinks. "Yes. I think I can work with you" she declared. She ran her fingers through his hair, playing around with it. "Yes" she said. "Oh yes... I think I'm going some fun with this." Eldric blushes as he admired the way her eyes stared at him. She slowly felt himself getting hard, how they glowed and almost stared into his very soul. Nightmare Moon, gives him a grin, then slowly pokes his chest with her finger. "Follow me" she commanded, twisting her poking finger and swiftly brushing it up his chest, before flicking his nose.
She lead him out of the bedroom and into the hallways of her palace. Eldric was amazed by how it looked. Tall walls made of polished stone, with floors of marble, and small light fixtures on the celling, simulating the night stars, as they lightly illuminated the halls. A gothic architectural design decorate the halls, and the windows.
"This place is amazing" said Eldric.
"Thank you" said Nightmare Moon. "I'm glad my castle fascinates you."
Eldric marvels the décor as he and Moon walk down the halls. "Oh it does, truly" he says. Moon smiled a bit. After all, It wasn't every day that she brought a stranger into her home, and made comments on how beautiful and fascinating she and her castle were. "How long did it take you to build this place?" Eldric asked.
Moon turned back to look at him. "A year" she said.
"Wow, really?"
"374 days to be specific" Moon replied.
Eldric gasped in amazement. He didn't know anyone who could build a place this big looking, in a whole year. The continued down the long narrow hallway, a few of my guards saluting as they walked. They catch Eldric's attention. Nightmare Moon smiles as her peripheral vision catches his look of surprise.
"Do the intrigue you?" she asked him.
"Yes, they’re cool" he said, staring at one.
"The are known as, "The Moonguard" she explained. "Made up of the bat ponies who inhabit my domain."
"Cool…so are they blind like bats too?"
"No. But they are sensitive to light. In case you haven’t. Noticed, I keep my castle pretty dimly lit. It’s an agreement between us. They protect me, I shelter them from the light."
"Oh, interesting."
Elric continued following Moon, getting a little bit curious as to where she was taking him at this point. "So, uh, were are you taking me?" he asks. Nightmare Moon didn't answer. Eldric waited patiently for a response before asking her again. "Hey! Where are we going?" he asks firmly. "What do you intend to do with me?" His eyes filled with concern.
"Worry not my little pet..." said Moon.
"Pet?" he wondered.
"...You'll find out soon enough."
Eldric was filled with more questions than answers. Where were they going? What did she mean by pet? She did say he was going to serve her, but serve her how? Who is she anyway? What is she? Why does she all herself, Nightmare? But for now, it didn't really matter. For now Eldric followed her closely. His stomach slowly starting to feel tight. Fear of the unknown filling inside of him.
