I flew though the hard rain a dark night. Every raindrop was painful on my damaged body. Yet I kept on flying, soaring though the air, past the dark clouds. I just wanted to get as far away as possible. I had no intention to stop. I kept on. I had a damaged wing from the escape, and I wouldn't be able to fly very far but hopefully far enough. It havn't been so long since I left... just ten minutes maybe. But it feels like so much more. I felt still very living, surprisingly. I felt happy, just for once. Finally escaped from my foster family, that's behind me now. However, that burst of happiness didn't last very long. A loud bang suddenly hit me. I fell unconscious and started speeding toward the not-so-very-soft ground.

I woke up with a gasp. I-... I think I landed on a cloud. The clouds had now shifted to a lighter texture, no more rain. I saw something in the distance. Something that seemed like a cloud settlement. Uh... cloud village. Okay, it's a flipping city. My wing decided to have a spasm. I glanced at it and noticed it was completely limp. And here comes the pain. I fell The cloud I were located on wasn't really big. But hey. No worries. I can always kick my legs, right? So I did. I ended falling at almost the speed of light, straight down!

I landed in some kind of trap. I crawled up. I had landed in a hay cart, apparently. Great. Now I am soaked in both hay and water. I look just excellent. A limp wing isn't helping either. This cart were on a little road. I saw a village further away, so I followed the road. I were surrounded by a few apple trees and bushes. What did that sign say? Well. The sign itself is made out of some bit of a redder texture. Mahogany maybe. Still, how does it matter? I read the sign out-loud. "Pony...ville." 'Ponyville.' Seems like a nicer place. I thought to myself. I wandered further into the town. Happy buildings, cheerful, colorful ponies. Bleh. Not exactly what I wanted, but it will do.

I kept strolling down the street, looking for some place that seemed a bit calmer and loner. I mean just look at all the ponies around here - they're so happy... and annoying. I've already had several colts and fillies come and greet me. I just ignored them.

Something caught my attention, a gray abandoned building. Oh, grey! I love grey! And it's made of bricks too. The sign on it was rusted away since long. This place hasn't been used in a long time. Can this be the peaceful spot I'm looking for? After pondering whether I should or should not enter the building for a while I finally wandered inside.

Hm. Dark. I kept blindly walking around and bumping into things before my eyes finally adjusted to the darkness. Forms and figured started making sense. Various broken and uncompleted inventions and creations. Some even covered with those plastic things you see on furniture in old houses. It surprises me how I don't know what they're called.

After uncovering some of the very-random things in the dark building I found a telescope thingy, but it pointed down. I looked into it. Darkness. Well, it's off. Oh, there's the switch. I've never seen a telescope that used power. But I've never seen the given object point down either. Nothing happened when I flicked the switch. A bit of problem solving right inside my head made me realize the power wasn't on. I gazed around again. A pretty large power switch sat on the wall. How the heck didn't I notice this earlier? I flapped my wings in thought to get up, but a broken wing doesn't do you much. So it ended up with me on the ground.

I pulled a chair to the power switch. I'm still too short. I don't plan on giving up yet. There were some books to stack, so that's exactly what I did. I managed to reach up and pull the switch. The lights went on making the dark room brighter. I saw alot of books around. Several bookcases even. That didn't interest me now, there was that telescope to look in. I walked over again and looked down. I were greeted by some colorful patterns this time instead of the darkness. The telescope looked at a small sample. I took it out and looked really close. It seem to be the same pattern, but by far 'zoomed out'. That was really interesting indeed!

A small box were placed right beside the telescope. I looked inside it. Several other samples. I put one in. It had sort of a wave-y texture on it. After switching samples for a while I got bored and switched off the machine. I went to pull out the chair to sit on for a while because my legs started to get tired from all the standing. I removed the first book which had an unreadable label, then the second. But I looked at the book first. It read 'Physics for beginners' or something similar. It actually looked interesting. The cover was blue, it also had a picture which had a trampoline on it. I liked those, I guess. Very illustrative. I picked up the book and sat down on the chair. The book had interesting theories in it... and how pegasi wings worked. That might help me repair mine, or somehow fix my broken wing. I forgot how much it had hurt because of this books brilliant-ness. I don't know how long I read, probably hours. Yep hours. It's dark outside, I'm kinda dowsy. I didn't have anywhere to sleep. A sofa were covered in those plastic things. I couldn't seem to get it off, so I ripped a hole in it and pulled it of like a pair of pants. Not that I wear pants. The sofa is looking pretty sturdy and nice. It will do for tonight.
