Me, Eclipse and the Time Machine
Eclipse
Previous ChapterAh... new morning. I looked around. It was still pretty dark out, so I went to flick on the lights. I flicked the switch. Nothing much happens. The lamp is broken, I assume. I went to the telescope thing again. No light. Okay, this isn't a coincidence. It can only mean one thing. No power. Excellent. Just what I needed. I'll check it out later, I have way more important things to worry about.
I peeked outside. The streets were as busy as always. Ponies, trotting about the streets of Ponyville. My wing still hurts. God dammit. I better fix that damn power until it's too soon. I grabbed a wrench in my mouth and went to the power station. Fun fact, wrenches taste like metal. I've always been a handy pony, but this looks like utter shit. Apparently the whole machine have gone short circuit. There's nothing I can do.
Well ass. I have no lights now. And the radiators probably won't work either. I went inside again, rain's killing me. It's funny. I kinda miss my foster family. At least they had heat and lights. And food. I never realized how hungry I were. Now, however. I have nothing. Nothing at all. Yet I keep on. What's driving me? What's driving me is driving me insane. Inception, bhrrrmrm. I know that I'm terrible at jokes, shut up.
I looked around the room once again. It's still dark, can't see a thing. I blindly led myself to the dusty couch. At this point I were almost ready to break down and cry. I felt so lost, so very lost. I regret running away... I regret it so bad... But then, I heard some footsteps inside. Instead of wimping I got completely quiet at the time. I closed my eyes and covered my face, I'm so scared to look. I could now hear breathing right in front of me... oh fuck... ohfuck... ohfuckohfuckofu- "You okay there?" The pony unexpectedly greeted.
I responded with a vague yes. I still had my eyes closed, but it was pitch black anyways so it wouldn't matter. "Oi! You gonna open your eyes or what?" I slowly opened my eyes again and..! The lights were on! Did this pony..? I looked at the him. He had white fur with a crimson mane. He smiled at me warmly. I'm not scared anymore... but... "How did you get the power on?" I asked him with a weak voice. I had been rather shocked still.
The pony sat down next to me. I kept following him with my eyes, just like he looked at me, smirking. Why the bloody hell can't he just tell me what he did? I told him that I told him exactly everything that happened before. I felt safer with him. I laid down on the still dusty couch and curled up. There was no heat, still. I felt somepony lay a blanket over me. Can't wait until I wake up tomorrow. God I need to eat.
BANG! I shot up from the couch. Where did that bang come from?! I stood up, and began to investigate. It took about two seconds before I realized that other pony were wrecking the place, well. Not really wrecking, but moving stuff and uncovering the furniture and various objects that were covered in old furniture plastic things. I still don't know what they're called. Anyways, I asked him, of course what the bloody hell he were doing. Okay, I didn't really swear. But I do that in my head all the time! Piss balls shit shit fuck! Yep, that's what happens in my head. I swear there's something wrong with me.
"Helping you out." He responded however. I didn't really respond... ahem. Back. Until... "Ah, here it is!" The pony cheered and pointed toward a red metal box with a handle on it. "It's... a toolbox." I looked at him with a questioning look. "Yes it is, by the way. What's your name little guy?" He white stallion asked me. I felt so small when he told me that... Even though I'm just-... a colt. I told him my name was Storm.
He laughed, and told me it was a fitting name. I have no idea why he would even- "I'm Eclipse!" The white stallion suddenly busted out with before I could even think. "I can't believe I haven't told you that yet, oh well. Welcome to my workshop!" Wait... what?! "Your... workshop?" I whimpered out. "Am I intruding?" Eclipse laughed again. I feel humiliated even though I know he means well.
"Nah, it's okay." He replied. "I just haven't been here in a while. And man it has become dusty." Eclipse continued to rummage though the various items and machines. This went on for a while before I asked him what he were looking after. "Just... something unfinished." He replied. That least part slipped though really fast. It feels like my head is going to explode. Why can't he just tell me what he's doing?!
"Can I help?" I asked the working pony. "If you want to. I'm looking for a machine that looks like an arch." Arch... hm. Okay. I found it after a few minutes of lifting and unwrapping I finally found it. So I called for Eclipse. He smiled when he found it. "It's that thing you were looking after, right?" I asked him. He replied with a cheerful and happy: yes. He pulled it further out to work with it.
He picked up a few tools from the toolbox and started poking around in the machinery. I had genuinely no idea what he were doing. He's the pro. He did his things. The lights on the machine started illuminating. The stallion pressed some buttons as the light on the control panel flickered on and off. After a grunt he went to the side of the arch, he opened a panel and poked around with a screwdriver.
Still no idea what he's doing. After a pretty long while of watching him tune the machine... or whatever he were doing I went outside for a walk. It's just past lunch. I haven't eaten since I left. Strange.
