In the wake of rising crime rates across Equestria, Mayor Mare increases the size of the police force in an attempt to help make Ponyville.

Unfortunately, however, tragedy strikes at the announcement speech, and Twilight and Mayor Mare are both injured after a freak shooting interrupts the meeting's closer. Now, private eye Detective Sleuth is on the case to find out who could be responsible for attempting the claim the life of Equestria's newest Princess.
