Dreams Do Come True Part 2: Dreams Really Do Come True

Star awoke the next day groggy as ever while Twilight was yelling at him to get his flank out of bed. Star just shouted “Twi I’m up, so shut up please! I have a massive han-” he chose not to finish what he was about to say when Twilight started glaring at him and asked “A massive what now?”

“Nothing.” Star quickly replied. Twilight looked at him and said “That’s what I thought, now get your flank to school. Sweetie Belle is already there with that Star went out the door leaving a very confused Shadow who just looked at Twilight and said “Did he almost tell you he was hungover? He used to get drunk a lot back home. Having abusive parents will do that to a guy.” Twilight glared bullets at her husband, making him freeze in place.

Star rushed into the classroom, knowing he would have to listen to his teacher’s rants and ravings about stuff that clearly wasn’t important. He got into his seat next to Sweetie Belle. When Star sat down the teacher looked at him with a smirk and said “Well well well class, looks like our prince can’t get to class on time now, can he?” Star gave an evil grin and added “Apparently

not, but this prince did kick your flank yesterday.” The whole class just sat there silent, all but Scootaloo, who was snoring. Zoom went over and hit her upside the head with a book, causing her to wake up with a jolt.

“There is no sleeping in my class.” Scootaloo looked at him and said “There is no hitting me either. Do it again and see what happens. Try me today, come on, jump frog, jump.” He glared at her silently. “That’s what I thought, you jackflank.” At this, Zoom took a cane from his desk and brought it across her foreleg, causing her to wince in pain. Star, who was barely containing his anger, lost it completely, and knocked Zoom on the ground, beating him and screaming “You do not hit my friend, or anypony for that matter! Especially if it is a mare. So help me, I should banish you to the moon right now!” It ended up taking the whole class to pull Star off of the teacher, who by now was unconscious and bleeding heavily. Star kept trying to go back to finish him off, until Scootaloo grabbed his shoulder.

“Dude stop. He’s not worth it!” Star looked at Scootaloo and added “You’re right Scoots. But he still should not have hit you. That is not cool, but I think somepony should get the nurse.” Scootaloo nodded. “Now, what do we tell them? Truth, or make something up?” Star looked at Scootaloo and shook his head saying “I will tell them he hit you so I messed him up, that’s all they need to know.”

AppleBloom looked admiringly at Star for his boldness and said “If my sister was here she would have done beat yer flank worse then y’all could imagine.” causing everypony in the classroom to laugh. Right after that, the nurse came in looking at Star shaking her head saying “What is wrong with you Star? I took this job at the school to make sure you did not get hurt, not to take care of others hurt by you.” Red Heart stated. Star looked at her and said with no guilt “Well he did not need to hit Scoots, and I would not have beat him like that if he hadn’t. Next time though, I won’t take it so easy on him.” Red Heart shook her head at him stating “You know your mother will be informed about this, don’t you?” This made Star freeze a little, but he quickly regained his composure and smiled.and said to her calmly “No worries. Tell her how I threatened to banish his worthless flank to the moon, and about him calling her a false princess while you’re at it.” Red Heart looked at Zoom’s unconscious form with much less pity upon hearing that.

“I see. Alright then everypony, because your teacher is ‘indisposed’, there’s no reason to stay here. I guess you have two free periods today.” With that, everypony in the class ran out Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle ,AppleBloom and Star went outside looking at eachother. Star looked at them and asked “How about we go to Scootaloo’s place? I put a permanent cloud-walking spell on you, so I think you will be fine.” With that they walked there. Upon arrival Star and Scootaloo pushed them up on a cloud. When they walked in the front door they saw something making their jaws hit the floor at the same time they saw Rainbow Dash and SpitFire making out on the couch.

Star just tried to break the silence. “Umm, are we interrupting something?” Rainbow Dash just looked at them and asked in her parental tone, “Why are you four not in school right now?” Star said with pride “I beat the crap out of the teacher cause he hit Scoots.” Rainbow rolled her eyes at Star and asked “Wait, I thought Knight would be with you.” Spitfire asked “Who’s Knight?”

“Knight’s a friend of ours, he only moved here a couple of years ago, and he said he had something to do, then he went into the Everfree Forest.” Sweetie Belle said. Scootaloo looked at Rainbow Dash and asked “Hey mom, we got any food? I’m dying of hunger here.” Rainbow just snickered and said “No, you ate it all, and I don’t think I am going to buy any more. You’re going to get chubby.” Scootaloo rolled her eyes and said. “Sure I am mom, just like you’re going to fail the Wonderbolts tryouts this time around.” Rainbow chuckled at Scootaloo and said “Well, I don’t care, I got my own Wonderbolt, she quit the team just to be with me.” Everypony noticed Star somehow went missing but smelled something from the bathroom and rushed to the door, kicking it open. Spitfire looked at him in shock and said “What the buck are you doing?”

He smiled, saying “Well, I was smoking something to make Dashie’s cooking taste better.” She just ignored him and they all had a nice little talk. She explained how long her and Spitfire had been together after that it was time to get back to class...

They had gotten back to class, seeing a very angry Zoom there, waiting for them to show up. Star looked at him and said with sarcasm “Ya, you can really beat my flank. can’t you Ms. Zoom? You hurt me so bad I had to run to my mommy and get her to kiss my boo-boos and make it all better. You don’t scare me, I have fought an ursa major and won, you jackflank.” Zoom glared at Star and said with a nice, and at the same time evil, smile, “Well, I guess it’s time for a quiz isn’t it? Come on, pass the papers around.” He said as he handed the papers to the class about Equestrian History. Rising Knight looked at Star and said with a smirk “Nice job kicking his flank Star. Wish I’d thought of that.” Star smiled and said “He does not scare me, like I said fought an ursa major. Not a minor, but a major, and I won. He is just a filly. Hey how would you like to hang with us at a cafe after school.” Knight smiled sadly. “I can’t. I have to do something in the forest today.” Star just looked at him and said “Come on, you need to hang out with other ponies for a while. Just relax.” Knight shouted a little“I SAID NO! And don’t try to follow me either. It’s a personal and private matter.” As he walked away Star looked at him and whispered to himself “Well, it sounds fishy now, so by law I must follow you, and I know three mares who’d be able to help me do just that.”After they had finished the test Zoom went on and gave Star a F on his paper. Star then jumped, acting like he was going to attack again, only to be knocked out by a globe. Sweetie Belle saw this and she caught on fire looking at him. She just shouted “YOU DID NOT JUST HIT HIM! OH YOU ARE SO DEAD!” This made Zoom chuckle at her and he replied calmly “Well, looks like his mommy will have a booboo to kiss bet-”

*THUNK* He was silenced by a rough book that nailed him on his muzzle, and a second book that slammed into the back of his head, hard, rendering him unconscious once again.Red Heart  walked into the classroom to check on Star, not caring about the educator on the floor. She carrIed Star into the infirmary, checking his vitals, making sure he was ok and not harmed. When he woke up, he started rubbing the back of his head, saying “Ok, that hurt my pride more than anything, but otherwise I’m fine.” He walked out of the infirmary to the cafeteria. While he and Sweetie Belle and the rest of them were getting their lunch, they saw Knight sitting alone and decided to join him. When they sat down he just sighed and rolled his eyes, saying “You’re not going to give up are you?” They all looked at him and said “Nope.” at the same time. Knight just gave up and said “Ok you win. You can come with me. But you have to swear that no matter what you’ll never tell anypony about what you see. Ever.” The whole time he was speaking in a tone that could freeze the sun. They just nodded and ate their lunch.

After school they all walked out of the building when Star saw the teacher he hated. Zoom was standing there waiting when Star said “You never give up do you? I can’t tell if you are crazy or just stupid.”With that Star charged his horn up and shot a spell at Zoom, throwing him into the sky. When they did that they followed Knight deep into the Everfree. A few times they came close to some of the forest’s more dangerous creatures, but they left the group alone. Star, Sweetie, AppleBloom and Scootaloo were more than a little confused by this, but Knight calmly told them “The Everfree and I have an understanding, let’s leave it at that. By the way, we’re here.”

When they took a look around, they saw the charred remains of what used to be a house, as well as a carved block of stone nearby. When questioned, Knight said “That used to be my home, and the stone is a memorial to my parents and younger sister. Today is both her birthday, and the anniversary of hers and my parents deaths.”

His eyes were brimming with tears. They all looked at him sadly. Scootaloo worked up the courage and asked “What happened?” Knight took a deep breath and started his tale.

“When I was a foal, my parents found me in the woods near that house, their house. They took me in and gave me a home, a family. I was around five, and Cera was two. She was already skilled in the profession my parents were part of.” The four exchanged looks and Sweetie asked, “What profession?”

Knight smirked and said “They were assassins.” The group backed away, except for Star, who stood ready to attack if Knight tried anything, but Knight just laughed and said “Don’t worry, if I wanted to hurt you, you’d already be on the ground. Celestial Assassins protect others, they don’t kill for the sake of it. They taught me both the skills and the virtues behind them.”

Applebloom asked “But what happened to them?” Knight just sighed and said “They were killed, by a pony with a mask and a cloak. He took me somewhere, and I spent six years there. My sister saved me, but she died doing it. Nowadays I sleep in the forest. Don’t really have any place to call my own.” Knight was letting the tears flow full force. Scoots, Sweetie and Applebloom walked up to him slowly and placed him in a bone-crushing hug, saying “Hey, it’s ok. You don’t have to be alone anymore Knight. You’ve got friends, you just gotta let ‘em in.” Star rolled his eyes, slightly jealous at Sweetie’s display of affection towards Knight, and said “Yeah yeah, great, let’s go before Twilight sends out a search party.” The five left the clearing and went back through the forest, none of them saying a single word throughout the trip...

When Star walked in the front door, he saw something that scared him more then a very angry Twilight. Celestia was waiting there. This time, Star looked at his mother and said “Hi mom, I wis-” before he could finish he was cut off by Celestia. She looked at him and said “Shooting Star what could have possessed you to hit an educator like that?”

Star rolled his eyes at his mother and said “Ya mom, I had no right. He hit Scootaloo, then he hit me. That foal is pressing my buttons and he is not smart teacher, if he even has the right to call himself so with all the things he’s done. He assaulted me with a globe for buck’s sake.”

Celestia looked at her son in disbelief and said “I got a letter from him telling me about the brutal beating you gave him and how you were insulting his family. Star I raised you better than to do that.” Star stared in shock at his mother and said “MOM you are not going to listen to that lying jackflank, are you? Ya, I did beat him down but he hit me and Scoots, and he called you a false princess.”

Celestia rolled her eyes at Star and said “Star, I want you to write a letter apologizing to him.” Star was starting to get angry he said “MOM NURSE RED HEART CAN TELL YOU HE ATTACKED ME WITH A BUCKING GLOBE!” Celestia looked at her son, still not buying it. She had to say one more thing before she left “Star I want to hear no more of this, am I understood? You will apologize to him and that is all I have to say about it.”

Star was ready to burst when a voice came from the open doorway. “Star is not lying Princess. That so-called educator is probably a wife-beater. He won’t pick on anyone his own size without dirty tricks.” Everyone turned to the owner of the voice, and Star was the first to speak.

“Knight? What are you doing here?” He exclaimed. There were mixed reactions. Twilight was angry at the intrusion, Celestia was looking at the newcomer with raised eyebrows, and Shadowfoot was sitting there just watching the whole thing, when Celestia said “Well, why do you say that, Knight, was it?”

Knight smirked and said “I have a bad habit of learning secrets about ponies without meaning to. It’s not a conscious action, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn’t. I saw his. He was married, but his wife left when he beat her one too many times. And by the way princess,” Knight smirked, “You’re missing a shoe.” Celestia looked and saw that she was indeed missing one of her shoes. She giggled at herself and said “Well, thank you Knight. I will make sure he is punished. Well, I must leave now.”

“Wait” Knight said. Celestia turned to him. “Yes?” He shuffled his hooves a bit before asking “Do you know anywhere I could stay for cheap? I’m kinda getting tired of sleeping in the Everfree.” Twilight looked at him and said “You can stay here if you want, free of charge, but why were you sleeping in the Everfree Forest anyway?”

Knight just said “I’d rather not say...” With that Celestia leftStar,Shadow,Twilight,and Knight who just looked at Star and said “I thought you were joking when you said you were the son of Celestia.” When all was over, Twilight looked at them and said “Ok now, get your homework done.”

Knight smirked and said “Already finished mine, and before you ask Star, no, you can’t copy.” Star looked in shock and asked “How did you know I was going to ask that?” To which Knight replied “Remember, I can learn secrets without meaning to. Reason is somehow I could read minds.”

Star just replied with a smirk of his own and said “Well, I did mine at the school an-” Before he could finish Sweetie Belle walked in. They ran to his room and, while Twilight and Shadow were out of earshot, Star said “Knight I need you gone for about thirty minutes.” Knight smirked and said “No worries, you two have fun. But one thing. If you can’t be careful, name the first one after me.”

Sweetie Belle then hit Knight with a statue, yet he still grinned knowingly as he walked off rubbing the bump on his head. When Star and Sweetie Belle got to his room she sat down and said with a serious tone “Star, I think I’m pregnant! “
