I had been waiting all year to finally celebrate my first Hearts and Hooves date with a special somepony. And the lucky guy was of course my sweet Slipstream. Although I wasn’t good at cooking, I thought it would be nice if I make ourselves some dinner. So, that morning I went to the grocery store to get some cooking supplies. “Babe, be sure to come back home fast, I have a surprise for you”, Slip gave me a warm hug before I left the house. “A surprise? Is it the new game you were talking about?” “You’ll see, babe. I know you’ll like it”, “Eeeeee!! I’ll make sure I’ll be home in a jiffy!”, I hugged him again and gave him a kiss on the lips. We waved goodbye to each other and I went to the grocery store. Now, since I hardly cook, I thought it was best to just cook a simple meal like spaghetti or fried rice. There was no way I would mess those up. Short story short, I bought some other groceries for the week so I didn’t have to do groceries again ‘til next week. I walked home with a bag full of stuff. I kicked the door but nopony answered. I hoped Slip would help me open the door or something. Turned out the door wasn’t locked, so I just struggled myself in and called Slip. “Honey?? I’m home!!”, the house was really quiet. He might be away. He should have locked the door though. I went to the kitchen to put down my groceries, but suddenly I felt something on my hind hoof. Something hot… soft… squishy…?? What the..?? And it moved!! A rat!! I kicked the thing, tried to get it off of my hind hoof. And bam! I hit it hard. It was a really big rat! Or was it a rat? It made whimpering sound and ran out the kitchen. I couldn't really see it but... I thought it was a giant blue rat! I put down my groceries on the dining chair (which is a bad idea, you'll know why) and explored the house. Usually I never had to deal with these pests cuz I had Slip around. But that time I wanted to show Slip I was a capable mare. I checked everywhere and I found it struggling to get under the bed. It was Slip. "Honey! What are you doing? You silly pony!", I poked his butt and he whimpered. "Honey? Come out. You said you have something to show me". I pulled his tail and he whimpered again. This time he finally get his entire body under the bed. It was bizarre to see him like this. He liked roleplays though, sometimes he acted like a pet, but this is just no. I looked around and found an opened box with a leash and a note on the bed: "I'm all yours, love Slipstream " Did Slipstream just bought me a blue dog??? That was a dog??? I thought Slip didn't like having pets!! But I've been wanting to have a pet on my own! Sweet Celestia! Best Hearts and Hooves Day ever! I wished he was there with me though. I really didn't know where he went. I tried to get him out off the bed but it's useless. I went back to the kitchen to make him a hard boiled egg since I didn't have any dog food yet. After the egg was boiled, I rushed back to the bedroom, but it wasn't there. I ran around looking for that dog while holding a boiled egg on my hoof. I went back to the kitchen after hearing a rustling sound just to found it gobbling a pint of Neapolitan ice cream I just bought. Oh no! It has chocolate in it! I lifted him up and took the pint from his muzzle. Whoa, he looked exactly like Slip, only lighter. He had light blue coat and dark blue mane and tail. The muzzle, the ears, he really looked like him. The only differences were his dilated pupils, no cutie mark, and he had a black spiked collar on his neck. As I lifted him up, his stomach rumbled. I could tell he was hungry. He ate half of the pint. Should he go see the vet? He... kinda looked like a pony to me. Nah. I put the melted ice cream pint into the freezer and gave him the boiled egg. "Boof! Boof!", he gobbled up the egg and then gave my face some big licks. "Ahahahaha, awww.. You're so cute.. Umm.. Dog?", I stared into his eyes. "Boof?", he tilted his head. "You know, I want Slip to give you a name, but for now, maybe I can call you... Boofy?" "Boof! Boof boof!", he looked like he agreed, even though 'boof' was the only thing he could say. "Great! Okay, Boofy, you can go around the house, but don't go outside, okay? I'll get you some food and we can play together later", I patted his head and headed outside. Boofy ran upstairs and I locked the door. I should get another pint of ice cream.
Boofy! No!View OnlineBoof! Boof! My Coltfriend Is a Good BoyBoofy! No!I could hear crying and whimpering from inside. It was Boofy. I felt really bad that time, I couldn't leave him like that. I opened the door and found him jumping around with a leash. Oh, he was smart. "Booooof!", with a body as big as Slip, he nudged my chest with his muzzle. "Oh well, you could use some walk too, Boofy", I took the leash and attached it to his collar. He ran outside, tugging the leash. I had difficulties on locking the door. As soon as the door was locked, he flapped his wings and darted everywhere. Right, left, up, down, front, back, suddenly, he was out of control. He lifted me up to the sky several times. I wasn't that strong you know, and I wasn't ready for this at all! I shouted at him to calm down. He ended up dragging me to a nearby dog park. He was as free as Amareica and left me with bruises from the dragging. The worst thing happened when he saw other dogs and started humping them. The dog owners weren't complaining though. In fact, they even petted him and cheered him. I had no idea. After some tiring dragging and humping session, I had to tied him to a nearby park bench to get some rest and got myself a smoothie. I got some bruises on my back and Boofy didn't even look guilty. "Boof!", he panted heavily and scratched my flank. "No", "Aww.. What a cute, healthy, cheerful, pony-like dog", said a stallion with a purple scarf. He gave Boofy belly rubs, Boofy laid on his back, looked happy and relaxed with his tongue out. "You must have taken good care of him. How long has he been trained? Does he know any tricks?" "No, no, no, you got it wrong! I just got him today so of course he doesn't know any tricks---" "Boof!", Boofy pulled out a top hat and a magician wand. He tapped three times on the hat with the wand and pulled out a bunny out of it. The stallion was astonished and gave him hearty belly rubs, he invited everypony nearby to witness the great and powerful Boofy. Meanwhile I was just standing there and thought, "what... the... buck...". It was 3 o'clock in the afternoon and my tummy started to ache. I didn't have any lunch, neither did Boofy. Ponies were still around him though. Eventually, Boofy went back to me. He might be tired. I decided to go to the groceries to finally get some other stuff. Although Boofy already looked tired, he was still jolting around sometimes. He went crazy out of sudden. One time he stopped to smell the flowers, he dragged me into a cactus plant. Maybe the flowers smelled good, so he gobbled them up. That was when I finally stopped using the leash and just carried him on my back. I was so tired from all of this nonsense. I thought having a dog would be fun. We arrived at the grocery story at 6 o'clock but I just realized pets were not allowed in the grocery store. I took no risk letting him outside and cause more chaos, I told Boofy that I was going to just get some dog food, nothing else, so he better 'ACT NORMAL'. You guessed it. Right when I was in the first aisle, he mounted me and humped me. The security pony kicked us out and we couldn't get the dog food. Screw it, I bought him take outs.

Despite his weird attitude, he was so considerate. I couldn't feel hungry anymore. I spent the whole day without Slip and the only thing I wanted was just to see him before midnight. Otherwise, I would spend this year Hearts and Hooves day alone, again. It was already 9 o'clock. I got really tired and drowsy. I didn't cook for our dinner. I didn't even have dinner myself. I was really depressed that night. But I decided to just go to bed, hoping that he would come back home soon. As I laid myself down on the bed, Boofy climbed up the bed and started humping me. I screamed and startled him. He ran out the room. I felt bad for him though. I hate to see him sad, it was like, I failed Slip to take care of him. Not long after he went out, I heard some loud noises from the work room. When I got out to check it out, I saw Slipstream, standing there. I couldn't believe it! I hugged him tight and kissed him a lot. I missed him so much! "Honey!! Where have you been?? I missed you so much!! Love me!! Love me hard!!, I cried. "Geez, babe. Calm down. I missed you too. But I've been here with you all day". "Don't lie!! I didn't see you anywhere!!" "Honey, I told you I'm here!" "Where? We haven't even decided a name for our new dog!!" "How about... Boofy?", he stared into my eyes and stroked my mane. "Honey... Was Boofy... you? B-but.. how?" "Oh, that", suddenly Slip looked around him. "This collar, I bought online. I think it's different than the regular one. But it's fun nevertheless". Slip took a spiked collar that was stuck on the door stopper. Didn't know how it get there but I was too tired to ask. Suddenly he put it on my neck and it felt like I was on drugs. I felt so energized, but in weird way. He giggled seeing me act like a dog. Somehow I didn't like it. I nudged him and whimpered so he could take him off of me but he just awed and petted me. I couldn't even say a word! That pissed me off. I charged and hit him on his guts with my head. "Ow!! Babe!! Alright, alright, calm down". he finally took it off me. "Hmph! I still demand a date for Hearts and Hooves day", I folded my forehooves. "Didn't we have it already?", "When? With Boofy? It wasn't ---", suddenly my stomach grumbled. "Whoops", "I'll cook for you, honey", Slipstream kissed me on the forehead and went to the kitchen to microwave me a bowl of macaroni and cheese. A few months had passed and Boofy was more popular than ever. I was glad everything turned out well, and I loved both Boofy and Slipstream. I let him around being Boofy cuz the collar made him less tired and I understand how tiring it feels to be in Wonderbolts. So I thought everything went back to normal. One day, there was a ring on the door and it was the delivery guy. He gave me a package with our address and Slip's name on it. Right after I signed whatever form the delivery guy gave me, I took the package upstairs to our bedroom. "Honey, here's your package", "No, honey, it's your package. I hope you like pink", he winked.
