Earth – The Long Road South
The RV roared down the Florida highway, pushing hard toward Orlando, but the scorching heat and sheer exhaustion were starting to take their toll.
Pops wiped sweat from his forehead, muttering, “Florida’s hotter than the devil’s asscrack.”
Dan, still recovering from his Jacksonville rampage, groaned from the back seat. “Remind me… why do people live here?”
Trixie, slumped beside him, mumbled, “Trixie wants snow…”
Sam, gripping the wheel, sighed. “We need to stop. If we push too hard, we’ll be too tired to fight when we get there.”
Starlight, fanning herself with a torn map, nodded. “Agreed. I’m melting.”
Pops grinned. “Good thing we got secret A.C.”
Sam smirked. “Time to test it.”
Rest Stop – Hidden A.C. in the Cargo Trailer
They pulled into an abandoned parking lot, parking the RV and cargo container beside an old diner.
Inside the cargo container, their six-person camping trailerwas a godsend—because Pops had modified it with built-in A.C., running off solar batteries.
The moment they stepped inside, the cold air hit them like heaven.
Dan, sprawled onto the couch, groaned in relief. “I take back every bad thing I said about this place.”
Trixie flopped next to him. “Trixie is never leaving this trailer.”
Starlight collapsed onto the bed. “Agreed.”
Sam chuckled, setting his rifle aside. “We rest now. Tomorrow, we finish this.”
The Next Morning – A Five-Star Breakfast
Sam, being the resident apocalypse chef, woke up early to prepare a meal that actually mattered.
Dan’s plate: A protein-packed steak and eggs dish, perfect for keeping him energized.
Pops’ plate: Biscuits and gravy, made from scavenged MRE ingredients.
Starlight & Trixie’s plates: A vegetarian-friendly meal, including fresh fruit, oats, and toasted bread with honey.
Sam’s plate: A little of everything, because he had nothing better to do.
When the gang woke up, the smell alone nearly made Dan cry.
Pops sat down, taking a bite. “Boy, if the world weren’t dead, you’d be makin’ bank as a chef.”
Trixie chewed on her meal, blushing slightly. “Trixie… appreciates this.”
Dan, eating his steak, sighed. “If I die today, at least I’m dying full.”
Sam smirked. “We’re not dying today.”
Arriving in Orlando – Running on Empty
By the time they reached Orlando, their fuel gauge was dangerously low.
Then—the engine sputtered.
Pops grumbled. “Aaaand we’re outta gas.”
Sam sighed, stepping out. “I’ll siphon more. Stay put.”
For the next hour, Sam worked tirelessly, draining every abandoned car he could find, filling up their tank—
Then, he found something better.
A fuel tanker truck, half-hidden near a collapsed gas station.
Sam broke open the valve, grabbing every 5-gallon gas can they had—And filled all 12 dozen to the max.
When he returned, Pops whistled. “Damn, son. You went all out.”
Dan smirked. “We’re set for months now.”
Sam wiped oil off his hands. “Good. Because now, we do this our way.”
They loaded the extra fuel onto the cargo container, securing it tight.
Then—
They plowed straight through the highway barricade, smashing through the fence surrounding the Orlando airport.
And waiting for them on the runway…
Was a B-52 Stratofortress, its massive hatch open.
Dead bodies littered the ground around it.
Sam stepped forward, his rifle raised. “The crew was overrun.”
Dan, eyes scanning the area, muttered, “We taking this bird?”
Pops smirked. “Damn right we are.”
Trixie, staring at the massive plane, gulped. “I don’t suppose… any of you know how to fly this?”
Sam exhaled.
“We figure it out real fast.”
The gang moved forward, weapons ready.
Because the airport?
It wasn’t empty.
And their final battle was about to begin.
Meanwhile, in Equestria…
The enchanted mirror flickered, showing the B-52 on the runway.
Twilight’s eyes widened. “They’re really going to fly that thing?”
Rainbow Dash grinned. “That’s so awesome.”
Applejack whistled. “Hope they know what they’re doin’.”
Celestia’s eyes narrowed. “They don’t.”
Pinkie Pie whispered, “But they’re going to try anyway.”
The mirror flickered again—showing zombie movement in the shadows.
And then?
The screen cut to black.
The final battle was here.
To Be Continued…
