Chapter 34: SAD ENDING – Part 1

Earth – The Battle Rages On

The Titan loomed, its grotesque, shifting body writhing with thousands of fused undead. The combined power of the gang—Tsunami’s aerial assault, Lomo’s combat suit, and the ground team’s relentless firepower—had torn half of it apart.

But it wasn’t enough.

The monster was still standing. Still fighting. Still coming for them.

Sam, barely holding himself together, dodged a massive tendril strike, rolling across the ruined asphalt. “WE CAN’T KEEP THIS UP!”

Tsunami, from the Apache, cursed. “I’M ALMOST DRY! JUST A FEW ROCKETS LEFT!”

Lomo’s suit flickered, the HUD warning flashing:

🔋 POWER AT 25%

Her face twisted in frustration. “Damn it, I knew I should’ve made this thing nuclear!”

Pops, reloading his last few shells, spat dust from his mouth. “Boy, I tell ya, retirement is soundin’ real nice about now.”

Dan, standing on the wreckage of a collapsed building, realized something horrifying.

They were about to lose.

He checked his ammo. Empty.

His grenades? Gone.

Even his flamethrower had burned out.

He had nothing left.

And the Titan was still standing.

His hands shook. His heart pounded.

He wasn’t scared of dying.

But he was terrified of failing them.

He looked at Trixie, who was still fighting, still believing[.

He looked at Sam, Pops, Starlight, and Lomo—his family in this nightmare.

He looked at Tsunami, who had flown through hell itself to fight by his side.

Then, he looked at the mirror, still active behind them—their last hope.

And he made a decision.

The Letter for Help

Dan ripped a scrap of paper from his vest, pulling out a pen with shaking hands.

He scrawled out a message, his breath coming in short, sharp bursts.

"Dear Twilight Sparkle,

I don’t know if we can win this.

I’d ask you vocally, but I have to keep my friends out of danger…

Tsunami is going to be out of ammo soon. Lomo’s suit is losing power. Pops is nearly dry. Sam is barely holding on.

And when that happens… we will probably die.

So, I need to ask a favor.

If things go pear-shaped, I ask you save the others… and tell Trixie I’m sorry.

I only hope it doesn’t come to this.

I hope you will honor my request.

His fingers tightened around the paper, his teeth grinding.

Then, with all his strength, he hurled the letter through the mirror.

It vanished into the shimmering portal, disappearing into Equestria.

Dan let out a breath.

And turned back toward the Titan.

“Tsunami.”

The pilot’s voice crackled over the radio. “Yeah?”

Dan tightened his grip on his knife.

“When you run out of ammo… you do not land.”

Tsunami was silent for a moment. Then—“Copy that.”

Dan exhaled. Then, he jumped down, joining Sam and the others on the ground.

The Fight Starts to Go South

Tsunami’s last few missiles streaked toward the Titan’s head, detonating on impact.

But when the smoke cleared—

It was still standing.

Tsunami’s cockpit alarm blared.

⚠️ AMMO DEPLETED. RETURN TO BASE. ⚠️

He cursed. “I’M OUT!”

Lomo, still dodging attacks in the air, felt her suit flicker again.

Her battery dropped to 10%.

Her thrusters sputtered.

She was going to fall soon.

Pops fired his last shotgun shell, the recoil kicking him back. “That’s it. I got nothin’ left.”

Trixie, panting, collapsed beside Starlight. “T-Trixie is… Trixie is out of magic!”

Sam clutched a wound on his arm, his vision blurring. “We’re done…”

Dan staggered forward, his body aching.

The Titan moved closer, its mass shifting, twisting, reforming, preparing to wipe them out in one final attack.

This was it.

The end.

Dan glanced at the mirror, still active, still open.

He prayed.

Please… Twilight. Please see my letter.

Because if she didn’t—

Then this was where it ended.

For all of them.

Meanwhile, in Equestria…

The mirror flickered violently, and a single scrap of paper shot through, landing on Twilight’s desk.

The Alicorn blinked, confused, before picking it up.

Her eyes scanned the message.

And her blood ran cold.

“Oh no…”

The others gathered around her—Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Celestia, Luna—

All reading Dan’s final plea.

Twilight clenched her hooves, her wings flaring. “We have to help them.”

Rainbow Dash gritted her teeth. “Then what are we waiting for?!”

Celestia, standing tall, nodded. “We are going.”

Luna’s horn glowed dark blue. “We must hurry. There is not much time.”

Pinkie Pie, her mane slightly deflated, whispered, “Please… don’t let us be too late.”

The mirror flickered, glowing brighter.

And the last stand was about to change forever.

To Be Continued…
