Pipsqueak’s New Home

Celestia’s beautiful sun was shiny extra bright that day; and it was fitting. Today was the day that Pipsqueak was going to be adopted by Pinkie Pie, and all of the family couldn’t be happier. I’m fact, when Pinkie informed the Cakes, they were downright thrilled. Pipsqueak, though new to the house, had charmed them beyond belief.

They allowed Pinkie the day off so that the family could be complete. After the calm breakfast, the pair sped down the streets of Ponyville at the speed of sound. In fact, Pinkie was practically gliding; how that’s possible, you decide.

They got to the orphanage with really big smiles on their faces. Happy Heart was cheerfully humming when she the pair.

“Oh, hello there! My name is Happy Heart, what can I do for you?”, the mare said happily.

“Hiya! I would like to adopt a foal”, Pinkie said.

“Alright, If you’ll just come with me-“, Happy Heart began, but was cut off by Pinkie Pie.

“No, I’m talking about this one”, Pinkie said while pointing to Pipsqueak.

Pipsqueak just sheepishly smiled.

“Oh....well.....I don’t know who he is”, Happy Heart said.

“His name is Pipsqueak”, Pinkie Pie said.

Happy Hearts face dropped when she realized who the colt was. His parents death was a big deal around town.

“Oh my, you poor dear. I heard about what happened. Ok, let me just register him into the system”, Happy Heart said gently.

Pinkie nodded and began to bounce in place. Pipsqueak was now about to cry. It was a bittersweet feeling; his parents were gone, but Pinkie was going to be his Mum.

“Alrighty dear, if you’ll just sign this form, then you’ll be the proud mother of Pipsqueak”, Happy Heart said while handing Pinkie Pie the form.

Pinkie looked to Pip and just lit up with joy. The colt was so happy that he was in tears.

Pinkie signed the form and hugged Pipsqueak lovingly. Pip gladly returned the hug and cried into her neck.

“Thank you, ma’m. You don’t know how much this means to me”, Pipsqueak said to Happy Heart.

“Why thank you! I hope that goodness is with you both”, Happy Heart said.

“It sure will, Ms. Heart. C’mon Pipsqueak, let’s go to back to Sugarcube Corner”, Pinkie told her son.

“Alrighty, Mum! Bye Miss Heart!”, Pipsqueak said while getting on his mother’s back.

Happy Heart waved and watched them trot into the streets. In all her years, she had never seen such a natural bond between two ponies.
