Fallout: Equestria - Vigilante
Before anything, I should probably do the whole clichéd introduction thing. Considering how you’re about to reading extensive report on my psychological state corroding over a matter of years, I garner that it’s important that you know who I am and what I do. Well, did.
My name is Code Break. I was the former Head of Logistics Sector for DeadShot, a very ‘hush hush’ organisation, only recruiting through scouting and family-based enlistment. As one of the eight Heads of DeadShot, I was a head honcho in it all. There’s also the matter of me being the great-grandson of one of the three original founders, but the descendants of the other two are Heads of the Medical and Engineering Sector, so I’m no special snowflake. Now, what the Logistics Sector does is a much less boring aspect, but just in case you’ve got an attention span as short as a filly on Mint-als, here are the basic duties of Logistics:
Know everything.
See everything.
Predict everything.
Sure, the Tactical Sector does a similar job, but they focus more in combat. Logistics, they monitor everything outside of combat, typically by commandeering any electronics they can get their filthy mitts on. Aside from the whole Big Brother thing, Logistics also takes care of any records and documents that DeadShot find, be it Stable records, blueprints, audio files; anything and everything that can offer even the tiniest bit of insight into every single pony’s everyday life. That’s the kicker, really.
My job as Head of Logistics wasn’t to supervise, it wasn’t to manage; no, the Specialists could handle themselves just fine. No, mine was to use this lovely little piece of software called CELESTIA to learn absolutely everything about the pony I was issued. Their personality, their background, their daily routine; every single aspect was accounted for and stored away. DeadShot usually needed that sort of information so they could send in sleeper agents to anywhere they damn well pleased. After seeing just how much you can learn about someone without even meeting them, I just… I didn’t react well to it, but I didn’t have much of a choice. After I saw what my work did face-to-face, where I wasn’t a million miles away, that’s when I reached an assured decision regarding my future as Code Break, Head of Logistics:
I needed to get the fuck out.
And the wonderful journey that ensued is now all written down, for your reading pleasure. I won’t bother classifying any sensitive information since DeadShot can come and get me for all I care.

Given my depressive streaks that come and go, this will obviously take a while. The prologue is short, yes, but it's just to give you a basic idea on what the book is about, a little about DeadShot, so on. Chapter 1 and what ensues should be plenty longer!

This is a quick status update for anyone who comes across this — obviously. I mean, what else would it be except a new chapter?
I looked over the original plot and decided that it seriously lacked substance about two weeks ago. Depression has been terrible with me lately but I’m slowly managing to get things done, and I should start writing the draft by the end of the year. I won’t be posting on here, since it’s a draft and all, but I’m just saying so it doesn’t look like I’ve forgotten about this.
