I asked “Sugarcube, are you in here?” I looked around the high tech lab, I tried not to touch anything, I didn’t have any idea at what even half these weird contraptions do.

I heard Twilight shout “I’m back here, I have trying to locate where those strange robots came from.” I walked out the back to see Twilight using a strange glowing screwdriver to open some strange contraption on the table.

I asked “What are you working on?”

Twilight lectured “This is a reconnaissance robot, used to gather intel. I am using this sonic screwdriver that Dr Hooves gave me. He told me it is an old model that he has no use for anymore, I using it to try and disconnect the hydraulic motor from the spin turbine so I can access the tracking software.”

I asked “So you are trying to find the person behind this?” Twilight nodded, I then said “Well maybe we should go out, do some training or have a nice dinner. You have been in here for a week and Ah’m missing mah girlfriend.”

Twilight exclaimed “But this is really important, I want to find out why these robots are after my girlfriend.”

I sighed “Ah know but Ah would like to gracefully spend some time together, Sunset told me of a nice restaurant that she went to with Pinkie to have a nice dinner date it’s nice but cheap, heck they are going to have a lunch with the head chef in a 3 days.”

Twilight complained “I really wanted to tinker with these machines.”

I frowned trying to keep calm “Go ahead then, Ah’ll leave you with the stupid robots.” I stormed out of the lab and returned to my room. I sat down on my bed and burst into tears, stupid, stupid Twilight cares more about her science then me.

I heard a voice from the other side of the door, it was Applebloom, she asked “Applejack are you okay?”

I replied trying not to sound sad “Ah’m fine Applebloom, you should be doing your homework.”

Applebloom entered with a frown, she said “Ah can’t go back to my homework with you crying in here, we’re family and we stick together.”

I smiled sadly as she sat on my bed and gave me a hug. I started crying again as she patted me on the back. I opened my eyes after who knows how long to find Applebloom smiling, she asked “Are you feeling better?”

I replied with a sniffle “A little.”

Applebloom asked “This is about Twilight isn’t it?” I gasped how did she know It makes no sense? Applebloom said sadly “It seems Ah hit the nail on the head there judging from your reaction.”

I asked “How did you know?”

Applebloom sighed “Ah’m not a little kid, big sis. Ah here you crying some nights about Twilight abandoning you, are you afraid she is going to replace you with a machine?”

I felt tears at the edge of my eyes, I knew that’s how I truly felt but all I did was begin to cry. Applebloom said ashamed “Ah’m sorry, Ah didn’t mean to make you upset.”

I smiled as I dried my eyes “Don’t worry, Applebloom thanks for trying to cheer me up.”

Applebloom eyes lit up, she said “You should speak to Rarity, she may have an idea on how to fix this problem.”

I said “Ah hate to admit it but your right Rarity is better at this whole relationship thing than Ah am.”

Applebloom said “Ah suggest you head over to her place then, with your ability to fly you should be there in less than 10 minutes.”

I said “Thanks Applebloom.” I exited the house and flew off towards Rarity’s home.

As I approached I saw the training machine sitting at the back of her small apartment, I have had a little training in the morning before farm work but not much more than that. I landed and knocked on her door, I blinked as I stared at Rarity, she was covered in sweat. I then noticed she has actually built a considerable amount of lean muscle.

She giggled “I understand your surprise, I’m not one for physical work but I want to be the dominate woman in my relationship with Rainbow. I should go and have a shower, I’ll be back shortly.” I sat there confused, I’m not sure what was on my mind more Rarity’s sudden change or my own relationship drama.

20 minutes past and Rarity walked down the stairs wearing a simple shirt and pants. She said “I have not made myself any clothes that will fit my new build yet, so I’m just borrowing some of Rainbow’s spare clothes.”

I asked “Well, um Ah kinda wanted some um some um relationship advice.”

Rarity asked “Well, what is causing you a problem?”

I replied “Well, Twilight hasn’t spent any time with me except meals, Ah’m starting to feel neglected, like she likes her machines more than me.”

Rarity asked “Have you spoken to her about it?”

I said “That’s a great idea, only if Ah could actually get her attention to even look at my face.”

Rarity said “Well, Dash tends to sit in front me with her clothes off in order to distract me.”

I gasped “Really, that happens.” Rarity nodded, I then realised that wouldn’t work either, I said “Twilight pleasures herself using books.”

Rarity said “Oh, um I don’t know, to be honest it’s hard to get someone that stubborn away from their work.”

I said “Ah don't want them to have to leave their work for that, Ah want her to make the conscious decision to spend time with me.”

Rarity said “If you want that to happen, she will need a little push, maybe you could ask your brother.”

I then gasped as I realised something “Oh s**t, Applebloom knows, she’s going to do something drastic Ah know it.” I bolted out the door.
