Trixie sat alone on the train to the Las Pegasus cloud port. Starlight Glimmer had accompanied her for the first half of the trip. She thought about what her mother said about grandfoals, and about her thinking that Trixie would be a great mother. But she was with Starlight. But then, Trixie didn't have the bits to afford such a trip. But now it was different. She knew her wagon was safely parked next to Princess Twilight Sparkle's castle in Ponyville. She traveled light with just her saddlebags as she boarded the hot-air balloon to take her up to the clouds. On the way up, the pilot gave the usual safety briefing to the non-pegasi tourists.
"...If this is your first time visiting Las Pegasus, be sure to keep to the marked walkways. Even if you see other ponies walking on the clouds, do not attempt this yourself. You will fall through. "More than you know. Las Pegasus is one of the 'drinking-est' cities in Equestria. Drunk ponies sometimes struggle to find a restroom."
Trixie signed the tourist waiver, disavowing the city of any liability for 'accidental plummeting'. She also made a mental note to never travel beneath a pegasus city ever again.
"Welcome to Las Pegasus." He opened the gate to let her out of the hot-air balloon basket onto the platform. The entirety of Las Pegasus sprawled out before her. She did as she was told and kept to the clearly-marked walkways as she made her way to her hotel.

"The Prism Palace Hotel is proud to present tonight, in the Pony Fantastique Theater, Big Bucks and Jackpot!" The first of the two featured magicians walked onto the stage. Big Bucks was the taller of the two, a purple earth pony with a lime-green mane, and the fan-favorite among the mares in the audience. The straight mares, anyway. Trixie just rolled her eyes.
