“Twilight!” I look up to see spike run in with a letter in his claws.

"Who is it from Spike?” I ask as I put my book down. After spike catches his breath he replies.

"It’s from Celestia.” He opens the scroll and starts to read aloud.

"Dear Twilight,

I think you’ll be pleased to know that I have found a new Starswirl the Bearded spell in the far reaches of the crystal archives and would like you to be the first pony to research them. I await your reply.

Your mentor and friend,

Celestia.”

When finished reading he handed me the scroll with a curious face, "Why would Celestia be in the Crystal Archives?”

I pondered the question for a second before shrugging."I have no idea Spike but isn’t this exciting?! I get to be the first to test and research a new spell! Take a letter Spike.” Spike pulled out a new scroll and quill and strarted writing as I spoke.

"Dear Celestia,

I would be most honored to take this job I would like to start immediately on my research so I will arrive at the Crystal Empire at noon tomorrow.

Your faithful student,

Twilight Spakle.”

As Spike wrote the letter I was already packing my books for the trip. I watched as Spike blew his flame and sent it off. He turned to me with a questioning look and asked,”What do you mean by noon doesn’t it take a day for the train to reach the Empire?” I smiled at him as I finished packing.

"Oh Spike thats if your riding the train we’re going to have a faster way there.”

Spike continued to give me that look asking,"And that is?” He asked wearily.

My smile grew as big as Pinkie’s. ”Me of course!”

The Next Day:
After I said my good-byes to the rest of the mane 6 Spike climbed on my back and we set of for the Crystal Empire.

Half Past Noon
As I landed at the castle entrance I found Cadence and Celestia waiting for me. Celestia stepped forward to embraced me with her wings. ”Your late Twilight Spakle.”

I smiled sheepishly. ”I saw a new plant on my way here and stoped in a local town to figure out what it was. Sorry Princess.”

Celestia gave a delicate chuckle and smiled warmly at me. ”Remember you are a princess as well and there is no need to apologise my faithful student.”

Cadence stepped up next and I smiled and we did our ladybug ritual. When we finished Celestia showed me to were she was keeping the scroll. She gave it to me to read. What I found shocked me. It’s was apparently a way of Pegasus teleportation between realms. The concept was to use the combined power of 5 unicorns to tap into the Pegasus magic since pegasi are the only ponies with ability to fly and enter the inter dimensional stream.

I didn’t notice Celestia and Cadence leave and didn’t care as I got to work with changing the spell to fit the dinamics of an Alicorn. When I was done I crowed, ”I’ve got it!!”

Spike woke up with a start,"Huh, wa what did you get Twi you were quiet ever since you started? What is it?"

I looked at Spike with a smile that would put Pinkie’s widest to shame," I figured out how to visit other dimansions or universes. And I’m going to try it out!”

Spike looked at me skeptically,” Are you sure that’s safe?”

I gave him an annoyed look,” It’s only a test run Spike. It’s not like it's going to work on the first try.”

He sighed and silently climb on my back. "Let’s go try it out then.” I beamed at him.

"Yes let's go!"

Outside In The Crystal Courtyard:
“Okay spike take notes. So first need to unlock my Pegasus magic and apply a lot of long distance teleportation magic. Then you take off and get as much speed as possible."

As I went through want to do out loud Spike wrote it down on parchment. While I flew through the air at speeds that would make Rainbow proud I felt something happening. Before I knew what was going on I was flying through a space filled with stars flying past me at blurring speeds.

Spikes POV
I watch as Twi activates her magic and goes through the procedures. She takes off at speeds that of rivals Rainbow Dash’s as she flys through the night sky I watch as the air around her changes and her body streches into a steam of stars, then she disappears altogether.

My first reaction is to she if she teleported somewhere else, then to panic I run in circles screaming out for Twilight. Celestia hears and comes to see what the problem is. She finds me sitting on the ground crying quietly.
Celestia walks up to me and holds me in her hooves. "What is wrong spike?”

I look into her eyes and whisper in quiet desperation. "Twi’s gone we need to find her please."

Twilight's POV

I've been flying for what seems like an eternity( but is actually just mind preceiving time slower do to lack of stimulation). I traveled for hours and was about to pass out when saw I was out of the stream and in an actual sky. The air was warm and inviting and the clouds tasted sweet. I looked below to see a stream. 'That's as good I place as any to get my bearings.'

When I landed I troted over to the stream and bent get some water. That's when I saw my muzzle. I screamed or at least tried to but it came out as a shrieking whinny. I calmed myself and checked my body in the water. I looked like a regular horse like those in the crystal mirror realm.

I had horse hooves, and face instead of pony features. I checked the rest of my body and nearly shrieked again, my body was still lilac but more muscled and athletic build. My wing span had trippled and had golden and magenta primaries. My horn was still there but when I tried to use magic it wouldn't work.

This is when I started to panic as I tried and failed to move the water with telekinesis. Then I had a panic attack. I whinnied and shrieked in fear of never getting my magic back. After the panic attack resided to fear I was tired from the flight so........ I passed out.
