Animal Heart was a young colt who lived in dragon town in fillydelphia, he had a brother who's name was Tornado, a mother named Ruby, and a father named Cobalt, he had a happy life, but being the only pony in a town of dragons was hard, he never felt like he fit in, so he was a loner, and his social skills weren't the best.

When he was 18 moons old, he moved to the crystal empire, where he ascended to alicornhood by saving the three princesses' life, there was a small problem though, since Celestia never used the alicorn spell on an earth pony before, let alone a stallion, the transformation had a few kinks, like he would faze in and out of being an alicorn until he could learn to control it, so he fled into the everfree forest to train.

After many years he learned to control it, but the cost was whenever he wasn't an alicorn, he was a young colt, and as he left the forest, Fluttershy found him, and took him in, so he has been loyal to her ever since.
