Spike's Adventure through the Digital World (Dusk Edition)

Spike made his way through the murky Loop Swamp. When he came to a pipe, he walked up to it and said, "This must be the way to the murkiest waters..." As he walked into the pipe and came out in the deep waters, he thought to himself, "I'll never understand how we manage to breathe while we're underwater."

As Spike made his way through the murky waters, he felt a strange presence creeping up on him before turning around to see an angry group of MetalPiranimon. He quickly tried to get out of their way, but the piranha-like Digimon were too fast, and he was forced to fight them.

As Antylamon and SkullMeramon came out of their Digi-Cards and attacked, Spike felt useless, as he couldn't Digivolve to Guerrilladramon and help defeat the Mega Digimon. Still, he tried to help by changing into Cupidramon and firing his Coupler Arrows.

Soon enough, the MetalPiranimon fled, but Spike still had a strange feeling. As he changed back to his human form, he asked Antylamon, "Does something feel strange about this place to you?"

Antylamon nodded, "Yes, something's definitely going on here. We'd best be on our guard."

Spike continued to move through the waters until he came up to a strange cluster of crystals. "These must be the things WaruSeadramon was talking about. They're Digi-Crystals, aren't they?"

SkullMeramon nodded, "Yeah, those are definitely Digi-Crystals. I didn't know they could help with Digivolution though."

"Wait, perhaps this is what WaruSeadramon was talking about." Antylamon moved some of the crystals and found a small stone. "Digi-Crystals don't help with Digivolution, but I've heard of these, they're called Digi-Stones. They're rare stones that form in unusual conditions."

Spike picked up the Digi-Stone and held it close to his chest, where he assumed his Digi-Core was. He could feel it warming his chest as he digivolved into Guerrilladramon. When he changed back to his human form, he felt that he could go back and forth between his human and champion forms. He smiled, "All right! Now let's go back to meet WaruSeadramon and tell him I can Digivolve into Guerrilladramon."

When Spike went back to see WaruSeadramon, the sea-serpent Digimon smiled lightly, "I assume you found the Digi-Stone. Well then, are you ready to fight me?"

Spike nodded and turned into Guerrilladramon, "Let's do this!" before jumping into battle with WaruSeadramon.

WaruSeadramon shot bolts of lightning at Spike from his horn, but they were easily avoided because of Guerrilladramon's speed with his jet pack. WaruSeadramon smirked, "Impressive, I can see why SkullBaluchimon had trouble against you."

Spike smiled back, "Yeah, but for the record, I had trouble against him in my Rookie form. Plus, I ended our battle with one hit after Wendigomon and Chionnmon weakened him already."

WaruSeadramon smiled, "Well, then you'd better do your best against me, since it's one on one." He shot more bolts of lightning out, and one of them actually hit Spike, causing him to land to reboot his flamethrower.

Spike groaned from the pain of the lightning, but continued to fight. He sent out two rockets from his rocket launcher. As the rockets hit WaruSeadramon, his flamethrower had fully rebooted and he took to the air again. He said, "Well, it's been fun, but I think it's time to wrap this up."

WaruSeadramon chuckled, "I was thinking the same thing. We've been at it for a while, and we're both running out of energy, this last attack will decide it. Maelstrom!"

As WaruSeadramon created a massive electrified tornado, Spike got ready and as he charged up his weapons, he yelled, "Ballistic Blowout!"

As the two attacks collided, it seemed as if they were at even strength, but the Maelstrom attack dissipated as Ballistic Blowout went through it, hitting WaruSeadramon. Spike went down to ground level as his Champion form fizzled out back to his human form. "You ok?"

As WaruSeadramon got itself up, it said, "Yeah, I knew you were strong and I was right. I'd be honored to be your partner. I'll send my scan data to your Digivice. Once you convert it, I'll be at your side until I turn into a Digi-Egg again." before diving into the water.

When Spike returned to Dark Terminal, his Digivice beeped and Twilight was calling, "Hey Spike, where'd you go? I just found you a sparring partner."

Spike grinned nervously, "Well, about that. WaruSeadramon was looking for me because I beat SkullBaluchimon, and I sparred with him. I can still spar with whoever you found though if you want me to."

Twilight's eyes widened, "Wait, you were sparring with the WaruSeadramon? The one who protected Darkmoon City from Lucemon?"

Spike chuckled, "I said the exact same thing when I found out he was looking for me, but yes."

Twilight sighed, "Well, if you can hold your own against him, you're sparring partner will be at a disadvantage. It's getting late anyway, so why don't you just head to your Tamer Home for now. Piedmon will let you know if I need you for anything. Have a nice night Spike."

Spike nodded, "Thanks sis, I'll see you in the morning." before heading back to his Tamer Home and scanning WaruSeadramon's data before heading to bed.

Meanwhile...

Grimmon was furious with SkullBaluchimon, "You idiot! How could you lose to that Tamer!? And you call yourself a top-notch mercenary!"

SkullBaluchimon growled, "Hey, it's not my fault you created that kid in the first place! His Champion form was crazy strong!"

Grimmon's eyes widened when SkullBaluchimon said Spike was in his Champion form, "What!? He's already gotten to his Champion form!?" He thought to himself, "The boy is progressing faster than I would have imagined, perhaps he may be more useful than I first thought." before saying to SkullBaluchimon, "Even though you failed, I'm a man of my word, I'll send the payment to your boss and give you the 10,000 bits up front we agreed on." before handing 10,000 bits to SkullBaluchimon.

SkullBaluchimon grumbled lightly, but nodded, "Well, I'll be off." before disappearing

Grimmon sighed, "Spike's Champion form... how did he reach it so quickly? Perhaps I miscalculated the growth of the NRG Virus in him. I must reassess. If Spike continues to grow at this rate, he'll grow to his Mega form before I can complete my plan..."
