Spike's Adventure through the Digital World (Dusk Edition)

Spike made his way to the Dark Gate to head out to Sunken Tunnel when the degenerated guards stopped him, "You there! Come over here." When they saw it was Spike, the guard apologized, "Oh, it's you Spike. Sorry about that, I thought you were going to force your way through like those other three."

The other guard nodded, "It's dangerous out there, I hope those three kids are alright. If the virus impacted the Digi-Areas, there's no telling how hostile the Digimon might be. Spike, I don't know where those three are heading, but please, make sure they get home safe."

Spike sighed to himself, he knew that it was Thorax, Iron Will, and Starlight Glimmer, who else could it be? But he nodded and told the guards, "Don't worry, I will." He stepped on to the warp pad to Dark Terminal and saw the others getting on the warp pad to outside. When they were gone, Spike ran over to the tamer who was trying to stop them and asked, "Do you know where those three were heading?"

The tamer nodded, "They said they were going to Sunken Tunnel. Chief Twilight told me that you were going out there, so I can't argue, but I'm going to report those three to Chief Twilight."

Spike nodded, "Thanks." he sighed and got on the warp pad and selected Sunken Tunnel as his destination. When he got there, he soon saw Starlight Glimmer and walked over to her, "Starlight! What the hell do you think you're doing, disobeying orders like that!?"

Starlight jumped when she heard Spike, "O-Oh... it's just you Spike... I-I'm sorry, I just wanted to help, but me and the boys got separated, and now I don't know what to do."

Spike sighed, "I know, but you of all people should know orders are orders. Head back home, don't argue, just do it."

Starlight Glimmer nodded, "You're right, I'll only be a liability here. I'll head home now." before going back to the warp panel back to the city.

Spike continued his way into the tunnel, but had a problem with a large Digimon called Chionmon, a crab-like Digimon with razor sharp claws and an igloo shell it could pull itself into if the need arose. Normally you'd see Chionmon in cold places, similar to how you wouldn't find a polar bear in Saddle Arabia in the real world. What could a Digimon like this be doing in the Sunken Tunnel? And more importantly, how was he supposed to get past it? If Candlemon and Lopmon were still in their Ultimate forms, it wouldn't be too much trouble, but that wasn't the case. He gulped and knocked on the igloo shell of the Digmon, causing it to come out and yawn, "Huh...? Why is it so hot here?"

Spike gulped and told Chionmon, "Sorry to disturb your nap, but I think you're in the wrong habitat. You're in Sunken Tunnel. Do you know how you got here?"

The Chionmon's eyes widened when he was told he was in Sunken Tunnel, "Sunken Tunnel!? No wonder it's so hot here! I can't deal with this. Thanks for letting me know though. Here, have my scan data. If you ever need help, I'd be happy to pay you back for letting me know where I am. Well, I'd better get out of here before my shell starts melting." before heading off.

As the Chionmon left, Spike sighed in relief until his Digivice beeped, alerting him that he had collected enough of Chionmon's data to Digiconvert the data into a physical Digimon. "That went better than I thought it would. Maybe the virus that attacked the city did this, I can't think of any other explanation." He continued through the tunnels, hoping he wouldn't run into more out of place Digimon.

As Spike walked through the tunnels, he heard growling and saw Iron Will and Thorax up against a Raremon. The Raremon growled, "Are you mocking me? Did you really think you could beat me with such weak skills?"

Thorax gulped, "Iron Will, we don't stand a chance! We should just apologize and beg for mercy."

Spike snickered, "A Night Claw never gives up, and you two are no different. But, considering your Digimon are out of commission, I'll do this."

Thorax smiled when he saw Spike, "Spike! Thank god you're here! Help us out!"

Spike stepped up to the Raremon and said, "You want my friends, you have to go through me."

The Raremon roared, "Stop mocking me!" and attacked

During the battle, Dracmon was jumping from side to side as he avoided Raremon's attacks, and suddenly, he started glowing, "Dracmon Digivolve to... Sangloupmon!"

Spike's eyes widened, "Sweet! Dracmon digivolved into Sangloupmon, a Champion Digimon! Now, Sangloupmon, Sticker Blade!" Sangloupmon fired thousands of tiny blades that struck the Raremon, knocking it out.

After the battle, Raremon shook his 'head' and said, "Huh? What's going on? Was I... fighting you? No, that can't be right. I must have caught a virus... sorry for any trouble I caused in my sleep. I'm out." before leaving the tamers.

Thorax sighed in relief, "Thanks Spike, we-"

Iron Will growled, interrupting Thorax, "We could have won on our own Spike! Don't butt in!" before running off to the warp panel back to the terminal.

Thorax sighed, "Sorry about him Spike, he never knows when to swallow his pride. But I'm sure he's really thankful. It's embarrassing, but we'll just have to suck it up and apologize to Chief Twilight." he followed Iron Will back to the Terminal, and Spike went after them.

When Spike got back to the Union Room, ChaosGallantmon was furious when he was told that the three Tamers disobeyed orders. Twilight calmed him down, "ChaosGallantmon, don't you think you're being a bit too harsh? I think they learned their lesson. However, ChaosGallantmon's anger is not without good reason. As punishment, you three will be doing Spike's, Garble's, and Gabby's server work, as well as your own."

Iron Will groaned, "Man, not again! I hate server checks!"

Thorax scoffed, "Then maybe you'd rather go back to Sunken Tunnel, on your own, without Spike or any of us to help you!"

Iron Will's eyes widened, "N-No way man! I'm not going through that again!"

Starlight Glimmer crossed her arms, "You think you had it bad? At least you two knew where each other were! Those two idiots completely ditched me!"

The group laughed before the three tamers went back to the server work. Twilight sighed when they left to go back to work, "Spike, thank you for making sure those three got home safely. For now, we've confirmed that the Digi-Areas have also been impacted by the virus. Right now, there's not much else we can do, but if we do need you, Piedmon will let you know in Dark Center. Dismissed!"
