Spike's Adventure through the Digital World (Dusk Edition)

Spike sighed. Ever since he fought Grimmon in Limit Valley, his Navi-Digimon Gatomon had forced him to stay in Tamer Home so she could run some tests. "Gatomon, how much longer do you need to do these tests? So far they haven't told you anything useful."

Gatomon rolled her eyes as she turned around from her chair, "Well, that's about to change. It seems Grimmon's data wasn't the only data used in your makeup. He also used data from an ancient virus called NRG. That's why you were having such a bad cold when he attacked the city. The virus that he used to destroy the city caused a bad reaction to the virus in your body."

Spike raised an eyebrow, "So I've got virus data in my body? Is there a program we can upload to get rid of it?"

Gatomon shook her head, "Well, technically, we could easily get rid of it, but it seems that the NRG Virus is what lets you turn into Magidramon. I theorize that Grimmon knew this and made it so you couldn't change when he was attacking. But there's a few more tests I need to run. The Digi-Egg of Love you got from the Union Quest in Limit Valley, if Magidramon can use it to Armor Digivolve, I'd like to set it up to your Digivice so you can use it any time you need to."

Spike nodded, "That sounds like a good idea. Armor Digivolving could help out if Magidramon isn't strong enough."

Gatomon put an armband on Spike and connected it to the PC, and connected Spike's Digivice to the PC. It beeped for a few moments and Gatomon typed in some data. "Good, it looks like the Digi-Egg of Love is compatible with Magidramon. What should we call the armor form?"

"Well, it would be easier to name it if we knew what it looked like, don't you think?"

Gatomon laughed nervously, "Well.... yeah. Right now the NRG Virus is in a stasis mode, so we can't activate it right now. But maybe... Hmm..." Gatomon went back to typing on the PC and said, "Well, I can energize the Digi-Egg of Love to bypass the NRG Virus's stasis mode, but you'll only be able to stay in the armor form for a little while."

Spike nodded, "Do it."

Gatomon crossed some wires between Spike and his Digivice and told him, "You still need to say Digi-Armor Energize in order to activate it."

Spike nodded, standing up and holding his Digivice in his hand, "Digi-Armor Energize!"

The Digi-Egg of Love showed up on his Digivice's screen and he started to transform. He skin turned to pink scales and he grew four white angel wings on his back and gained a bow and arrow, with the arrowhead being in the shape of the Crest of Love. When he looked at himself he said, "Well, it's a bit girlie, but flying sure is useful." After he changed back, he sat back down, "Hmm... it reminded me of Cupid from Greek mythology, so maybe Cupidramon? It's still definitely a Dramon type Digimon, and Cupid is the God of Love."

Gatomon nodded, registering Cupidramon's data into the Digivice. "You'll still need to take it easy on Digivolving for a while, the NRG Virus needs more time to come out of stasis."

Spike nodded, "Thanks Gatomon. I should tell this to Twilight." Before exiting Tamer Home and heading to the Union Room, "Hey sis, I found out a bit more about my Digimon form. I have virus data from the NRG Virus in my makeup, and that's what allows me to change into a Digimon. Gatomon says it's what caused my cold during Grimmon's attack. One more thing, I was able to use the Digi-Egg of love to Armor Digivolve into Cupidramon." He showed her the information on Cupidramon that Gatomon had gathered.

Twilight smiled, "That's a very interesting Digimon, and I like the name. By the way, do you think you're ready for an advancement test? I was thinking about giving Leomon at the Digi-Coliseum the green light for you to take the Bronze Tamer Test."

Spike's eyes widened and thought for a moment, "I think I want to get more used to my Digimon forms before I take the advancement test. I want to see what Magidramon and Cupidramon can do in battle so I can decide if I want to use them in my tests."

Twilight nodded, "Ok, I can understand that. There's a battle simulator opening up in Dark Square. I'll have Gatomon send over Magidramon and Cupidramon's data to it, that way you can see what they can do in the simulation, so you'll know what they can do without having to change into them. In the meantime, get some rest, you'll need it if you really want to beat Grimmon."

Spike nodded, "Thanks sis, I'll see you tomorrow morning." before heading back to Tamer Home, and getting ready to go to bed. "Gatomon, before I go to bed, did you transfer the data from Magidramon and Cupidramon to the battle simulator?"

Gatomon nodded, "Sure did, the data will take a while to load, but it should be ready by tomorrow."

Spike yawned, "Thanks Gatomon. I'll see you in the morning." before plopping down on his bed and falling asleep.
