Spike's Adventure through the Digital World (Dusk Edition)

Spike got up early in the day to go check out the new Battle Simulator. He wanted to learn more about his Digimon forms, and since the data was uploaded to the Simulator, he finally could see what they can do. He stepped into the simulator and activated it.

The simulator asked Spike, "Greetings Spike. What Digimon would you like to use?"

Spike told the simulator, "I'd like to use Magidramon and Cupidramon."

The simulator beeped and whirred before saying, "Digimon data acquired. Starting battle simulation."

Spike was met with an Agumon and Gabumon against his Digimon forms. He looked over their skills and decided to use Cupidramon's Coupler Arrow attack on Gabumon. Cupidramon pulled out one of his arrows and shot two of them at Gabumon. The Gabumon then used Blue Blaster against Magidramon, who took little damage.

Soon enough, Spike had gotten used to what his Digimon forms could do and said, "End simulation."

The simulation ended, and Spike stepped out of the simulator. He headed to the Dark Office and went up to Piedmon, "Hey Piedmon, any new quests?"

Piedmon nodded, "Yes, something about Loop Swamp, go talk to your sister for more information."

Spike nodded and headed to the Union Room and went up to Twilight, "What's new Twilight?"

Twilight looked from the monitor behind her, "A new link was established in Loop Swamp. We've detected illegal activity there similar to the virus that attacked the city.

Spike nodded, "I'm on it, I'll check it out." before heading to Dark Terminal and then Loop Swamp.

When he got there, Meramon came out of his Digi-card and asked, "Boss, you look a bit under the weather. Is the NRG Virus reacting to the illegal activity?"

Spike sneezed, "Yeah, it's just like when my father attacked the city. Gatomon gave me some special vaccine data though." He hooked his Digivice up to his neck and pressed a button on it, feeling better almost instantly. As he continued through the swamp, he finally found his way to the end of the swamp after figuring out what whirlpools he was supposed to go through.

A large skeletal Digimon was standing at the end of the swamp and saw Spike, "Are you the client?"

Spike thought something was definitely suspicious about this Digimon, but decided to go along with it. "Yeah, that's me."

The Digimon said, "Good, let's get down to business. Name's SkullBaluchimon. I had this made, just like you asked. This wasn't easy to make, but with that virus you gave me, I was able to finish it. Now, do you have the goods?"

Spike gulped, he knew he had to get whatever it was that SkullBaluchimon had made, but he didn't know what he was expecting. He took a battle stance, "Sorry to disappoint, but there's been a change in plans."

SkullBaluchimon growled, "You traitor! I'll show you what happens to those who cross me!" before jumping into battle.

Spike quickly took his Magidramon form and Chionmon and Wendigomon came out of their Digi-Cards. Wendigomon sent out a blast of dark energy, and Chionmon rammed into SkullBaluchimon with his igloo shell.

As SkullBaluchimon grimaced from the attacks, he said, "Not bad, but not good enough!" before releasing a wave of darkness.

As Spike attacked SkullBaluchimon with his Needle Fang attack, he got knocked away and was badly injured, "D-Dammit! This wasn't supposed to happen! I-I'm still too weak..."

Wendigomon and Chionmon continued to fight, but when Spike started to lose hope, SkullBaluchimon told them, "You'd be better off giving up like your boss!"

Wendigomon growled, "Never! Boss, you have to believe in yourself, just like we do!"

Chionmon nodded, "You can do anything if you put your mind to it Spike! We believe in you!"

Spike got up panting, "Y-You're right guys. I need to believe in myself." He screamed, powering himself up. As he did, he started glowing. A large suit of armor formed around him and his tail grew an axe-like appendage on the end. "Magidramon Digivolve to... Guerrilladramon!"

Wendigomon smiled, "Told you boss! You've Digivolved to a Champion!"

Spike got used to his new body, in this form, you could easily consider him a one man army, considering he had a rocket launcher, a flamethrower, and a Gatling gun. "Guys, get back!" when Wendigomon and Chionmon backed away, Spike activated his jet pack to fly high up in the air.

SkullBaluchimon snickered, "If your wimpy Rookie form couldn't do anything against me, do you really think your Champion can do anything? Bring it on!" standing in place to take on Spike's attack head on.

Spike activated the rocket launcher and flamethrower on his shoulders before firing off his Gatling gun, "Ballistic Blowout!"

As the attack came at him, SkullBaluchimon smiled lightly, "Oh, how cute he named it- OH SHIT!" before being knocked off his feet and falling in submission. "D-Damn... You're stronger than I expected... Wait... are you... a Union Tamer?"

As Spike landed on the ground and turned back to his human form, "That's right, I'm Spike of Night Claw!"

SkullBaluchimon growled, but then sighed, "Well, I'm not going to be stupid, here, take this." and handed a strange USB drive to Spike, "I was hired to make this. I'm a mercenary who'll get anything anyone wants. This mission was an epic failure though. Don't get too cocky though, this was a fluke, I'm sure of it!" before fleeing.

Spike smiled at Chionmon and Wendigomon and said, "Thanks you guys. I should have believed in myself more."

Wendigomon nodded, "It's nothing boss, we'll always believe in you, and as long as you do too, you can do anything. I like the name you came up for Guerrilladramon, very cool for a one-man army."

Chionmon cleared his throat, "Sorry to interrupt, but we should get that USB drive to Twilight."

Spike nodded, "You're right Chionmon." before stepping on the warp pad back to Dark Terminal and heading back to the Union Room. "So sis, what is this thing anyway?"

Twilight looked over the data from the flash drive, "It seems to be a reboot system for the virus that attacked the city. If this was uploaded the correct way, the city would have taken even more damage."

One of the Night Claw engineers came over and said, "Chief Twilight, we were able to produce a vaccine against the virus that attacked the city, and we were able to restore Dark Area East."

Twilight smiled brightly, "That's perfect! Does that mean you can get Dark Area South and Dark Area North back online?"

The engineer shook her head, "Sadly, no. The virus developed an immunity to the vaccine we created. We'll need more time to make a stronger vaccine."

Twilight sighed, "Well, I suppose it would be too easy for everything to be fixed at once. We'll just have to keep working."

Spike mumbled to himself, "And by we, she means me."
