It is 6:30 in the morning, an exhausting time to get up for daily chores. Normally, I would get up later than that, if I had anything to do, but priorities first. Trying to get up, my head is rushed of exhaustion and anxiety, all thanks my yesterdays shift. Giving myself some time to wake up, I start by getting in the shower before dressing up. Even setting the water to warm-cold, it hardly woke me. For the record, I had a late-night shift till' one in the morning, drive an hour and a half drive back home, plus traffic due to construction, and had four hours of sleep. Yeah, living my week like that more often makes coffee or energy drinks pretty useless. After showering, I put on a tight boxer (not too tight), and grab something quick in the kitchen before I dress. I really don't want to have my uniform stained, unless I am at work. Nothing but a few Pop Tarts and a tall glass of milk to start the day. Nutritional right? After a small breakfast, I start dressing up, check myself in case I forget, grabbed my wallet, keys, phone, extra battery, and finally, recheck and lock.
I work at one of the most popular theaters in the country, and my duties there is just pure chaos! I considered this to be the best theater as a customer, but as an employee, it's bullshit. The mess is a havoc, the customers here are absolute pigs, OH don't even remind me about the kids, they are a bunch of rabbids, if you know what I mean. We even have a theater specifically just for them, and it has an indoor playground! This makes the job even harder for me and I can't even describe the mess they've made! I really wish I was a kid again, to play around there, but no, I'm just ten years too late to even try.
Okay, if you are wondering why I am talking about my daily routines, how shitty my mornings were, and how... friggin' awful my job is? Well, that's because this is a dream. Dreaming about reliving my day at work and agonizing from the inside. I could have dreamed about something else like, Candy Land, or fight side by side with Maverick Hunters. Better yet, Monster Maverick Hunters! That would've been dope. But no, it had to be this stupid dream, on that very specific day.
Would you like to hear more about the dream? I'll tell you, it's one heck of a doozy!
Okay, about half way through my shift, my manager called me into his office. He is a cool guy if he is on his good side, he'll be like a strict teacher with no chance if he's on his bad side. Anyway, I went into the office to see him, but the look on his face is both sad and disappointment, I've got a bad feeling about this.
"Is... there a problem?" I asked.
"Yeah... it's pretty complicated," he answered with concern, "Listen, you have been one of the most hard working employees in this theater, let alone you were about to get promoted."
"W-wait! I was getting promoted!?" I said with excitement.
"I said you were," he corrected, hearing what he is trying to say is not I want to hear at all, "as I said, you have been the most hard working of all in this theater, but our CEO's did something and..."
".... They fired me?" I said in remorse, assuming what he is trying to say.
"Worse. They acquired a device that made things easier for both clean up and service, and the cost of that, are the very few number of employees that are working now, are being laid off."
I had too much to take in, and I couldn't believe what the company did to us. Just for some fancy ass equipment is the reason why they laid off on us? "But... but, what about my record? They cant lay off on me like that, I'm sure they can-"
"They didn't bother. They just select a few and gone." this is some twisted crap I have ever heard of what our CEO's, did.
"....... But, what about my... degree? Can they... make an acception,... for my abilities?" another thing I have, but another complicated story.
"... I'm sorry... There's nothing I can do." he said, turning to his desk, he pulled out an envelope from his drawer and handed to me, "Here. It's three times your usual pay. Plus the effort you put in this place." I put my hand on my face, to not show too much remorse, but beginning to tear a bit, "Thank you for your service, bud. I'll miss having you here." I nod slightly and took the envelope.
"See ya..."
After leaving the theater, I sit in my car for a moment, not even minding the heat radiating inside, my mind is still processing to face the fact that I got laid off, along with other employees. Good ones that I know. Not only that, I also thought on 'how in the hell am I going to find another job?', plus it took me almost an entire year to find at least one job, now it is less likely to ever find one. And the employment rate is now messed up as ever! This is not the kind of life I ever end up being in, I also have a Master Degree for god sakes! Animation and engineering is what my studies were, why can't anyone hire me!?
*sigh*
My life is already fucked up, and why does fate keep hating me, when one moment is done, its already enough. But no, with really low chance in finding a job, I wouldn't be on a bed before an opportunity is granted. After getting over my sulking, I start to pass by at a bank to deposit my last check, then end up in traffic as usual, and head back home. This time, I am stuck in traffic in the middle of town and only one way is packed while the other is fast and smooth. I have no idea why, but I don't even care with so much going on with me right now. I turned on the radio, tuning to a christian station for some uplifting music, hoping to hear something nice, just to ease off. While singing along a good song, I heard what it sounded like some fireworks near a bank, (Which is not the bank I use) but no, in the driveway, I saw men wearing masks, guns and bags in their hands. This is a robbery, happening right in front of me. All who wore masks jumped in the van and bolt out. To my dread, the only way out for them is the drive way, where I am in the way, still stuck in this god forsaken traffic. With nothing to do and no way to get out, I brace myself as the van came full force, forcing my car so spin out, into the opposite lane, until...
*HONK HOONNNKKK*
*HOONNN-OOOOOT*
"AHHHHHHHHH!!!"
*Breathing rapidly*
"Are ya al'right mate!?" recognizing the voice and accent, I look up to see a muscular anthro looking kangaroo, who is wearing a white t-shirt and kilt. And for sure, he is a friend of mine. Oddly enough, he has a Scottish accent and some Australian grammar.
"*breathing slowly* Yeah, I'm good." I said calmly, realizing it is just a dream.
"Seriously mate! I've loss tra'k of how many times ya wake up like tha'. An' ev'ry time ya fall asleep, ya end up swimmin' wit' sha'ks ev'rywhere we go." he said worriedly.
"Excuse me, is he alright?" said a male anthro horse, or 'pony' is what they called themselves. And the way he is dressed, he is the conductor for the train we are on.
"Of course he is ya half wit! Jus' some nightmare he's havin'. Probably the w'rst one he's had ev'r since. But see now? He's fine. Now run along no need to be nosy as much. Tha' includes all of ya, ya pikers!" my friend said, as to some of the passengers notice my yell earlier. I can tell he is staring at me, and worried, "Are ya sure ya don't want ta talk about it, lad?"
"... No."
"... Okay. Again, your loss."
As much as I like to talk about it, he won't understand anything what I would say, because it won't make any sense to him if I discuss some details about where I'm from. And yes, the fact that I already died. As of right now, I am in a completely new world, full of anthro people, old and new creatures, and freaking magic! I guess fate, has something else planned for me in this world, and the land that me and my friend here are heading a place called, Equestria.
Very few do not agree with their own lifestyle.
It makes us feel lost and small to live in this world.
Or to ever reach their true goals.
A world where it is close to impossible to go anywhere or do something outside of their own isolation.
Things happen, and it happens time and time again, until the cycle continues the next day to come.
But what if I tell you,
there is another world,
beyond compared to the one you live in now.
A world called, Equis.
Our story begins with two travelers, who are traveling in a train, on their way to pass the border to the main land. A land called, Equestria. Both of them have reasons to go to this main land, that is to have a new life there. And here's the thing, they are both outlaws, but for a really good cause, and been on some adventures they always been excited for.
One traveler is a human named, Jyro Gunner. He is the first a only kind to ever set foot on this land. He can't even remember how he arrived here, but from what he was told, he fell from the sky. Or was it stars? He wears a grey t-shirt, navy-blue jeans, black and blue shoes, and a dark blue trench coat, wearing it with pride. Jyro is a relaxed and calmed human, he can be fun at times, and can be a real cool to be around. Despite his easy going attitude, he is also a powerhouse, either the gravity is weak or he adapted quickly in this worlds environment, he is one tough human. There are things he can lift, but very few he can't, but his strength gained respect to almost everyone from the place he was settled in. He did seemed surpriesed when he realized that he is in a new world and inhabited by anthro equine people. He gets to fit in with the locals for some time and they welcomed him, despite his... physical difference. Even so, they bombard him with numerous questions, and in return, he asked his. He had a great time living there, but during his stay there, he was already met with a dreaded curse. Right now, he seemed really drowsy, since he had another one of those terrifying nightmares, and yes, he has been having them, ever since he fell. Another reason why he's traveling to Equestria, he has heard that there is a Princess that can walk into dreams and even consult whomever she visits in their dreams. For his view, he is pretty excited to see her, except for his friend, which he sees it as witchcraft.
The other traveler is a muscular kangaroo named, Nick the Bruiser. He wears a white tattered t-shirt, a kilt tied to a belt, and of course, a black sport shorts he wears underneath. To Jyro's knowledge, Nick has always get the feeling that some creatures might expect what is under that 'skirt'. He easily gets triggered to call his kilt like that, but for another reason, it's comfortable. He is somewhat of an athlete given his muscular form due to his training in his hometown, plus he is always in a mood for drinks if he sees any pubs to walk in. Besides that, he also has a reason to go, he has heard that Equestria is home to a large number of booze from soft to hard, an he likes it either way. (That's what she said.)
So far, these two travelers have set course to Equestria, but they have one objective to do first. For some time, Jyro has been having constant nightmares, and it starts to get worse every day. Throughout his time, he has a strong spirit to laugh at these dreams. But this is entirely different, what he realized that it wasn't any normal nightmare he's having, he begins to grow tired and physically weak. What's worse, his skin is becoming pale, and he is close to looking like a corpse.
"Really mate. Can I at leas' take out me mallot just in case ya turned undead?" said Nick, giving a playful grin.
"Screw you, Nick! Don't remind me how you bonked my head with that thing. That fucking hurt as hell!" groaned Jyro, remembering how his nightmares made him scream while waking up, while scaring Nick the last time they bunked, "I look like one, but that doesn't mean I might chase you and eat your brain."
"Eat me brain? HA! Never heard tha' before. Bloody fun image ta watch. All jokes aside, let us hope tha' so call'd Night Princess can fix ya back ta yer ol' self. Kinda miss yer guts like how we did back at, Trotland." said Nick, as he pat Jyro on the shoulder.
"Hehe. You know, I never get tired with that lands name. It's funny to me and you find it insulting. But when I explained how your land is similar to where I'm from, you never believed me."
"It's a load of jack-shite, mate. I find no bloody chance tha' we be da ripoffs from tha' world of yo'rs. Especially, da way ya compare our folks is a bit fuckin' offensive, but understandable when ya explained da difference."
"Heh. I remember one of those wooly-minotaurs won't stop snarling at me when I compared their kin. I was also drunk. That got me pretty uneasy and I thought they would just throw me into the curb. Literally, in mud."
"Ahh that was good day, havin' a couple coldies, tellin our stories, an' you are da most fun! Ya were drinkin' to yer hearts content an' became legless because ya talked about how ya got laid off before coming here! Now tha' is a some memory."
"Yeah. I looked like an idiot drunk. But it felt good to get it out of my chest. I worked so hard in that job, but no, they throw me away. I even have a degree to have a boost in my reputation, sure I would've got a job in my field, but with financial issues and the conditions with my car, it's just impossible to get out of my town." said Jyro, as he rubbed his eyes.
"Ah, give 'em hell if ye ev'r had da chance, or... a' least if ye ev'r go back."
"... I doubt it. To be honest... I feel..." Jyro paused for a moment thinking if he ever wants to go back, "never mind, might as well give them a good Stone Cold flip off if I had the chance."
"Ha! Now tha''s da pik'r I remember, still have it in ya." Laughed Nick, until the speakers in the train begin to sound.
"... We will be arriving at Undiscovered West in 3 hours!" Announced the conductor. They are not too far for reaching the only area to enter Equestria, but it has some mysteries from what lies beyond the land. Even, Nick, wasn't too cheerful on what lies ahead.
"From wha' I've heard, thay say, we'll easily get lost and wonder all over the grassy land, no direction, compasses actin' crazy, and no sight of any body to ever see. Until some bloody nutjob finally made a path ta cross tha' curse plain." Nick shuddered thinking it might be a bad idea to cross a field with no return.
"From hearing that, I think it sounds crazy, but knowing this land is full of magic, I definitely believe it, on my perspective." said Jyro, being really cautious about that area. "Until we get there, we listen to whatever they say to avoid being lost. Forever, that is. Got it?"
"Aye."
Getting close to their checkpoint, the two travelers are getting pretty excited of how close they are, but they had to hold that excitement after they cross the mysterious land which is the main border between Trotland and Equestria. This could be the only adventure that must be taken seriously out of all they have done in the past, a gamble to ever reach the magical land of Equestria.
Atop of Canterlot Castle, is a short tower, where a princess rests at the side of her bedroom balcony staring at the town below. Her name is Luna, Princess of the Night, guardian of dreams, who happens to fail her subjects in becoming who she was, one thousand years ago. She is in a concern and disappointing mood thinking about what she has done for the past thousand years of imprisonment, and what the society thinks of her fated return. Can they see her as a princess like her sister, or see her as a tyrannical monster who wants her night to last forever so everyone can admire it more than the day. This saddens her even more, thinking why she would let this happen, and letting the darkness inside consume her, through her own actions. Or harm her own sister. No. Something else is bothering her.
"Luna?" called out a voice through her bedroom door, "May I come in?" recognizing her voice, she let her in.
"You may, sister."
Coming into her room, is her elder sister, Celestia, Princess of the Day, ruler of Canterlot, and the one who banished her sister for one thousand years. She governs almost the entire land of Equestria, and now she rules alongside with her sister.
"Is everything alright, Luna?" she asked, knowing how glum her sister is.
"*sigh* We are unsure, sister." said Luna, as she stares back outside looking at the sky, "We feel as if thee whole nation still sees us as, Nightmare Moon, and not as Luna. Even so, thou say thou have forgiven us, but what do thee citizens see upon our return?" her sister put her hand on her shoulder, giving a small smile.
"It will take time, Luna. You need to show them who you truly are, a harmless princess who is kind and sweet, much like me, and show what you can do on what I cannot." Luna snorted, thinking it might not be the case, "Or, if you like, you can host this years, Grand Galloping Gala, which is in a month and a half away, so they can see you and greet everypony."
"... That does sound like an idea, but we do not want to attend this year sister. We are still... settling in." Even returning from her imprisonment, she becomes really nervous when it come to crowds.
"... I understand, sister. But you know, you have to come out and start communicating with at least one pony, or maybe-"
"We are fine, sister!" Luna interrupted her sister in a harsh tone, until she realized her response, "... Sorry, sister. It is just,... we have been thinking..."
"Thinking of what, sister?" asked Celestia, tilting head one side.
"Well... we insisted to... talk with some-... pony." said Luna, nervously.
"... Yes?"
"But... maybe..." Celestia is clueless on what her sister is trying to say, but Luna had enough being shy about it, "*UGGGH* WEALSOLIKETOCOURTSOMEPONY! THERE!" she buried herself in her hands from embarrassment after saying that in front of her sister.
"*giggle* That is what troubles you? You want not only to have social contact, but also to court somepony?" Celestia couldn't help but be amused by her sister's request, as Luna said nothing, "... I see. Since when have you decided to date somepony? Who's the lucky stallion?" eager, she wants to know more about her sister's date.
"... Well, there was this... one guardpony..." Celestia eyed her wondering who he is, "but thou... fired him... because of his... rebellious nature... and..." Celestia leaned closer to hear more, "... well... let us say... tis not the only reason that we became, Nightmare Moon." Celestia then stopped as she processed about what she said. She took a moment to think, even it has been a thousand years, but then...
"... Wait. You mean, you have been eyeing that guardpony!? I thought he was going to assassinate you, seeing how he took out most of the guards, then we apprehended him..." she looked at her sister who's very sorrowful, until her eyes widened in realized "... That means... he was there... for you." Celestia saw her sister's tears flow slowly on her face, "... Luna... I am so sorry. I didn't know."
"No, sister." said Luna, as she turned toward her sister, "Thou should have known. We have kept this relationship a secret, ever since our jealousy to you grows, he has been on our side since then. At the point when my hatred has taken over us and found out you arrested him, it was too late." Luna turned back to the balcony with a down look, "I am such fool, we were so blinded to see what is important to have somepony in your life." she is nearly in tears, having to lose someone who may be a part of her life. Sadly, her price of banishment has cost her courtship.
"Luna," Celestia walked to her sister and place her hands on her's, "I really wish we can go back and fix that mess, but we have to move forward. I know I could've said something something uplifting or say it's not your fault, but you have to live over it. Right now, you are here, and not as Nightmare Moon, you are in a new era of Equestria, a chance to start over, let these ponies know who you truly are." Luna surprisingly took her sister's words as motive, and starts to believe in herself a little more, "And who knows, maybe you can find somepony to court." She said in a playful manner.
"*giggle* Stop it!" Luna playfully pushed her sister, not sure she was joking or encouraging her, and Celestia became happy to see her smile, "*sigh* Thou are right sister, thank you. And since when did you ever become an inspirational?"
"Oh, being a solo monarch throughout the years has improved my speech. It wasn't too hard, just finding the best words were a pain." Luna chuckled knowing that her elder sister did most of the royal work instead of her, but maybe she might have responsibilities like that one day, "You will catch on, Luna. Maybe you might gain something in the future," Celestia then pressed her finger on her sister's snout, "For starters, changing your speech." Luna shook and looked at her sister with a bemused look.
"What are thou talking about, sister? We have no idea why thou have mention our speech. Our speech is pure and clear, thou cannot say nay about it!" Luna protests, as her sister looked at her, eyebrow raised, "......... Hearing you speak sounded a bit alien to us, but strangely better and more clear. We... or I,... suppose I should change my way of speech." then Luna realizes something, "Now that we think about it, are we really a tounge-twister?" Two sisters looked at each other for a moment, until they broke into a heart felt laughter.
"Hehe. I've got to admit, we were both tounge-twisters back then. I didn't realize how bad our speech was." Said Celestia, as their laughter slowly fades. "And yes, I had to go through that change to, but it was worth it in the end."
"So, thou suggest that our life will be easier by improving our speech?"
"... Let's say, it makes you more noticeable. Even to somepony you may like." teased Celestia.
"... Thou have changed character greatly over the years, haven't you sister?" said Luna, unamused.
"Oh, Luna. There are many things about me that changed over the years"
"Like your- *GASP* *SHIVER*" Luna suddenly reacted to an odd sensation just now.
"What's wrong, sister?" asked Celestia.
"We... we are not certain. It may be the cold temprature we just felt." Celestia gave a questioning look.
"It is the middle of the afternoon and about 83 degrees, are you sure you are feeling alright?"
"... Tis' fine, sister. Maybe that early morning chill was still there. There's no need to fret."
"... Well alright. I better be going for day court, feel free to come to the throne room if you feel like it. I would love to have you by my side, for old times sake."
"Thank you, sister. Good day."
"Good day,... Lulu." Celestia playfully said as she left the room, leaving Luna's reaction with a groan and annoyance.
"She still remembers, after all these years." her expression changed with a smile, "Oh how we missed you,... Tia."
All aside with her older sister's little antics, she thought about the sensation she felt earlier. It felt cold, and... familiar. What ever it was, she hoped it was just a sudden shiver, and nothing too serious.
Hopfully.

Guess the intro to what it's based from. I made a few tweaks and made my own version.

Chapter 2: Passing the Haunted Border
Author's Note
Finally! This is the toughest one by far. Excuse my absence during all witers block, school, Warframe, Smash Ultimate, etc. From what I can tell, this is good! Now to go put some heart into it!
First time using 3rd person. I don't know if it sounds good, if so, let me know if there are any bad grammars.
Enjoy!
Oh! Mind the emojis, they are comical expressions! (PS: For those who can't see them. I apologize.)
Chapter 2: Passing the Haunted Border
The train starts to slow down as it nears its destination, and our two travelers are getting ready for their stop. They glance out the windows and see almost nothing outside, the station is empty and it is very foggy, hardly enough to see around. Apparently, they start to shiver just looking out there, either it's outside or a little scared.
"Lost Station! Now arriving at Lost Station!" announced the conductor, who is for some reason hiding.
As the train comes to a stop, our travelers gathered their belongings and start to exit the cart. Once they are out, the door slammed shut behind them and the train immediately left at high speed. The travelers saw the train leave as it dissapreared into the fog, they looked at each other, figuring out what was that about.
"Wankers. Can't they a' least give us a tour or somethin'?" said Nick.
"Or better yet, who or what can give us some directions tfrom this place?" said Jyro, looking around the station only seeing fog and more fog, "Well, we can check the ticket booth and see if they have any information."
"Or if there's anyone a' all?"
They both walked to the booth and see if there is anyone behind it. As they get closer, there is no one but a few rats scurrying around. Jyro looked through the bars to see if anyone is here or hiding, nothing but wind.
"I don't think anyone is here, maybe we shou-"
*CRACK! SHATTER!*
Nick suddenly kicked the door down from outside, startling Jyro.
"Fuck, Nick! Are you trying to be an ass!? You scared the shit out of me. And why the hell did you do that?"
"No one 's here! So we jus' make the best of it. Plus, me ears can hear ev'y sound. Remember?" said Nick. Jyro was about to argue further, but realized how good Nick's hearing is, so he is not going to say anything.
"*sigh* Fine. Just warn me next time, you know I easily get surprised."
"At least ya didn't piss yourself."
"Shut up!"
They start to search inside to see if there is or was someone inside the booth, few minutes later, nothing. Dust, paper all over the floor, rats, and more of all. Both were about to give up their search, until Nick found something very important.
"Oi, lad! I found somethin'"
"What is it?" Jyro walked over to Nick who has a folded paper on his hand.
"It might be some note. But I can't read the words."
"Let me see..." he began to read the words, but it was a little off to him as some symbols are weired and oddly shaped, "... I can hardly read the words. Wait! I got something!" Jyro opened his bag and took out a book that has a dictionary of alphabets and vocabulary for other world languages, "Let's see... This looks like it's Ponish."
"What?"
"... A pun for english." he muttered, "It must be their native language at Equestria. Thank gawd I was able to translate the letters and words, and not too complicated. It's just letters that are weirdly shaped than my worlds. I guess this means we have to learn their writing."
"Tha's fine an' all. But what does the letter say?" said Nick, getting a little impatient.
"Umm..." looking over the letters and book, he began to read the note.
'To anypony who reads this, I have quit and no longer work here. I am now at Trotland to stay there for good.'
"Well tha's bloody fantastic! Fuckin' wanker scurried off because of this we little place!"
"No wait! There's more to it."
'The reason why I left, is because there was an incident in regards to cross the Area. The last travelers that walked through the fog lost two of their own, and they say 'it was not the plains that took them'. '
"So? It's 'haunted' fer a reason! Wha' pussy blokes would not follow simple directions if they got lost?"
"No. I think it was something else. Or maybe, something was there."
'Given their reaction, I have no business being here, and do not want to risk my own life staying here and get swept up by whatever monster was there. If any of you want to pass the border and get to Equestria, I do not recommend trying. If any of you still want to, then I can't be blamed to try to warn you. The only direction to Equestria is to follow the eternal torches that line your path to Equestria. I wish you good luck and be careful out there. And if you are unaware of Equestrias currency, there is a bag of bits above the booth. Take it as an apology.'
Jyro finished reading the letter, now thinking on what this means and how were those missing travelers taken instead of wondering lost on the plains.
"... Welp, I'm gettin' da bits." said Nick, not caring what the note says, except the hidden bits location.
"Do you know what this means, Nick?" Jyro said worriedly to him.
"Tha' we're close to crossin' the border into the land of fine brewery? Means tha' I can almost taste it!😋 Plus, we got free money!🤑"
"😓... Nick, this means, if we are not careful, you will never ever taste fine brewery."
"😨 ... Well fuck me with a pipe, tha' is bad."
"But seriously, this might prove that the Undescovered Area is not haunted, but what is there."
"My guess, probably a monster. Maybe something bigger like the ones we fought back at Trotland. Now tha's excitin'." said Nick, and yes they fought monsters back then, but that's another story.
"Maybe, but this is the only path to Equestria, weather we live or die trying. Literaly." after finishing and salvaging whatever needs in the abandoned station, they search around the staton to find these 'torches' on what the letter says. They spend minutes trying to find anything that glows.
...
"... So. How do we know what these torches look like?" asked Nick.
"Oh I don't know, maybe find the ones that look like fire, smartass." said Jyro, annoyed.
"Oi! I'm just breakin' the silence here, no need to burst yer fuckin' bubble."
"Fine. But just keep a look out if you see any-" Jyro stopped as he found something glowing almost deep in the fog, "Wait. I... I think I see one."
"No shite, lad!?"
"Yeah. But I'm not certain, so." Jyro digs in his backpack and found a long rope, "Here. You grab one end and I tie myself with the other."
"I still have no bloody clue how ya fit all that in there." said Nick, a little impressed.
"I went camping a few times, and got the experience for it. It was actually worth it." Jyro hand one end of the rope to, Nick, "Okay. I'm going to go and see if it is what we need to follow. I'll tug the rope two times if it's safe for you to come."
"An' why can't ya just call me out instead?"
"'Cause what ever it's out there might hear us and sweep me or you up. Remember what that letter says? I don't want to take any chances." Jyro sternly said to Nick.
"Alright. Just sayin'. But I would never expect you to be bait so I can fish out what ev'r monster is out there. It's excitin'!"
"Well they always go for the big meat, so I may be the one fishing."
"Ha! Touche."
https://m.

After our fun little chat, Jyro tied the rope around his waist, checking if it is tied enough. He looked at Nick, seeing he had his end tied around his waist as well, and both giving a comfirmed nod that they are ready. Steadily, Jyro walks into the fog where the only lightsource he sees is their path. He listen carefully as he walks knowing if the mysterious monster is lurking within the foggy plains. Even knowing the warning of what the letter said, he is feeling really shaken, not only the fog makes the temperature drop or his condition, he's scared. It is alright to be scared if you are doing something brave,... or something really stupid, but you always have to push foward to get what you desire. After thinking of his little motto, he finally got close to the blue light, and it appears to be one of the lit torches that letter was saying, and it's blue. This doesn't impress him, since this is obviously magic made fire, and usually sees colored flames back at his old world, but he does like the architect design for it. So far, it is safe and Jyro starts tugging the rope, signaling Nick to come. Instead of being careful, Nick just casually walk towards Jyro, this annoys him since he thinks he resolves everything without care. Though Nick has really good ears, you can never be too careful.
"So these ar' one of those torches tha' guides us to, Equestria?" He said, looking at the torch, "Fancy."
"Yeah. Now let's see if we can find the others."
Now that they know their path, they carefully walk through the foggy plains, as they are back to back, looking, and litstened closely if there is that monster out there. It felt like hours at every torch they pass, and so far, no sign of a monster. Nick was getting impatient, thinking this was a big waste of time, and not believing that there was a monster anywhere. Or if so, it died out of hunger. But Jyro, he is starting to get tired and drowsy.
"I don't understand why are we going soo bloody slow. It's obvious that so called monster might have moved on or possibly died of hunger. And can ya stop leanin' on me! I'm not your-" Nick stopped his rant and looked at Jyro, at a very tired state.
"Are ya alright lad?"
"Yeah. Just,... tired."
"Ya can't sleep now, lad. We have come so far to get to Equestria. And I'm not gonna get stranded here with you sleepin' on me back"
"Sorry. I just... need to... close my eyes... for... a... bit..."
Jyro passed out, and Nick is struggling to keep him up. Plus they are nearing the next torch, and so far they passed five. The letter didn't specify how long or how many torches we have to pass until their destination. This situation makes it even more daunting.
"Lad?... Jyro?... Shite! Do I really have ta drag yer arse again?" said Nick, looking at the now sleeping human, "This is a load of haggis! Not only ya passed out cause of yer curse, but ta let me do all the heavy liftin' by me-self. Yer lucky I'm here with ya, draggin yer sleeply arse like I'm almost haulin' a big barrel of Gin. By the Gods, I would love ta have a pint or two right now," Nick still rambling, while carrying the human, and made to the eighth torch. As of now, Nick starts to get tired and rest by the torch, "*pant, pant* Hooo! *plop*" Nick dropped Jyro like a bag of... something. (I don't know it could be anything. You imagine it!) "I can't believe ya passed out again, and I thought ya had enough sleep. Guessin' you are runnin' out of time once this curse gets to ya. And I hope ya don't scream like a wilied goat."
Nick sat next to his friend, waiting and watching his movements, as he notices his sudden twiches. He even got kicked from Jyro, seeming he is having another nightmare. But for some reason, this is different...
"Really, lad!? Do ya wanna start... a..."
"... n-... no... no... nhhh... no..."
Jyro starts to flail his arm and legs which is not normal for Nick to see, and it's freaking him out. He can't stand to see his friend suffering like this, so he has to wake him.
"Lad! LAD! Wake up, Jyro!" shouted Nick, trying to shake him awake. But had had one way to wake him and he is going to regret doing it again, "Sorry, lad. I had ta do this."
"Ah!.... AAAHHH!!...... NNNNAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!"
Jyros screams are getting louder and louder, but his eyes are still closed, still sleeping, still wailing. Nick has his hand stick out, the bracelet he is wearing starts to glow, and some strange streams of magic starts to form a large hammer with an impressive design appeared in his hands. (How did he do that? I'll explain soon.)
*WHOOOM* *BOONK!*
With the swing of his hammer and landed on the humans head, his agonizing screams have stopped and replace with a groan. Nick gave a relieved sigh seeing his human friend calmed down, but cringed just by seeing a big bump swelling on his head. Nick knew he had other ways to try to wake Jyro, yet he can't understand why he had to take out his special hammer. Exhaustion is coming on him and he now takes the chance to rest until they both are awake and ready. He trusts his ears to hear any noise that could come close to them, or something might take them.
Speaking of that special hammer, the bracelet that, Nick is wearing is an old sacred weapon that Trotland had carried over centuries. It said that this weapon can only choose its bearer whomever deems worthy of its power. There is also a plus, apparently it holds more secrets to its power. It's like it knows what is best for it's user and how soon powerful can it get along with it. It is an odd item yes, but it can be very useful when it comes to dangerous situations like monster attacks or something. And another cool thing, it can become any weapon you want to be, and shape the image you wanted it to be. It is a very versatile item, and it can be useful in a number of things, and no it does not do that! Put that filthy thought out of your heads you dirty monkeys!
Anyway, while we were talking about that cool trinket, Nick has been dragging Jyro again with a rope and already passed the twelfth torch. At that point, he stopped and collapsed on the ground right next to the torch.
"Seriously, lad! I've been litterally draggin' yer arse fer almost half the day, and ya still not awake!? Is it because I hit yer head tha' hard? Or are ya been awake this entire time just ta get back at ne, aye? Why I drag you ya say? 'Cause me waist is achen and me back is sore. Not only tha', this is the only torch I've seen as of right now and so far, NO FUCKIN' MONSTER!!!" Nick shouted, out of frustration with his arms up and plopped them back down, "*sigh* I'm sorry, lad. Me lit'le fuss has gotten me and I need ta let it out. I want ta go to Equestria as much as you do, but I never expect this ta be this hard. Of course you understand, of all people, I know how soft heart you are when it comes to understandin'. That's why sometimes I hate you, besides yer guts. And no, not because I'm jealous! I'm still-"
*shuffle shuffle*
*STOP MUSIC HERE!*
A sudden noise made him stop and immediately stood up looking out the deep fog. Then became more shuffling around the two travelers, but only Nick is aware where the sound is coming from. He can hear well, but can't see around through the thick fog. Something is moving fast and with the small tremors its making, it's also big. Nick armed his hammer and readied to what is coming close to them.
"Ngggghhhh..." Jyro is beginning to wake up, "Ugghh... damn my head, I had that weird dream again." He looked at Nick and hammer in hands, "You SON OF A BITCH! Did you just-"
"Shhhhhhh!"
"No! You shut up! Because yo-"
"Listen!" he said quietly, while covering Jyro's mouth with his left hand.
Doing what he says, Jyro begins to hear the shuffling and felt small tremors its making. But, the sound began even louder and closer. They saw parts of the fog that had some trace that something was there, thinking there was movement.
"I can't tell what it is. But wha'ever this monster is, it moves one place to another."
"I'm guessing it must be either fast or invisible. Pretty fast for something that's big. Unless..."
*FWOOMPH*
Something, what they think, landed infront of them, they tried to look closer slowly, until...
*👁AGRGRGR*
"WOAH!!!"
They both shouted as it appeared right infront of them, it was brief, but it was big, purple, and it has some kind of eye, but like a familiar animal that behaves like it, that just looked at Jyro and Nick for a quick second and instantly vanished.
"See! I tell ya there are monsters in this fersaken place!" Nick exclaimed.
"Shut the fu- LOOK OUT!" Jyro was about to say back, but noticed the oncoming attack.
It appeared again, but this time, it is barely visible, and you came almost see its shape. They saw something wide and big, about to slam on them, then it turned around and shot something long and slimy. Both successfully evaded, but right when it retracts and see where it came from, it vanished again.
"What the bloody hell was that!?" shouted Nick.
"... no fuckin' way..." Jyro said quietly to himself, and was shocked for knowing what is going on.
"What? What was that lad?" asked Nick, as he heard what his partner said. But, he looked at him, frozen, "LAD!"
Shaking it off, he tells Nick what to do seriously and worried "... Get all of our stuff and keep them close, and don't let its tounge touch you! And, whatever you do, DO NOT breathe the purple gas!"
Hearing this, both quickly gathered their belongings and they both wait for the mysterious creature to attack again. Nick wasn't convinced of what is going on, but his companion knows.
"Lad, I have no fuckin' idea what this creature is, but it looks like you know, care ta share?"
"... It... is something I know about this monster from my world, and it's supposed to be a fantasy video game." said Jyro, as Nick gave a questionable look at him.
"Fantasy wh- OVER THERE!"
To where Nick pointed, it appeared again, they can barely see, and its movement is vaguely familiar to them, mostly to Jyro. As it creeps close from smooth to pause movement, both travelers start to back up, more and more, as the mysterious creature starts to get closer and closer at a fast pace. And right it was about to engage, it immediately vanished once again, leaving a big gust.
Upon its disappearance, the dense fog starts to diminish and becoming more clear. They can finally see the sun which they can tell is around the afternoon, the plains are a lushly green landscape, and there are large cluffs scattered across the land ranging in different sizes. They took some time to look ariund the beautiful land and with their luck, they found another torch at the distance.
"Oi, look!" pointed Nick, "There's tha next one, an' I think I see some trees in the distance!" As he focused on their destination, Jyro is focused on the other problem. Going over the wrning on what the letter said back at the station, there is guarantee that there is a monster here, but a monster he knew all too well, and very much afraid of right now.
Knowing what may happen next, this is all too familiar to Jyro, and right when Nick takes the first five steps, Jyro dashed foward, grabbed his companion's tail, quickly glancing behind him now seeing the monster attacking from above, and immediately dodged at the side while yanking his partner along with him.
"AY! What the fuck are yeee-!!!" shouted Nick as he was immediately pulled by Jyro, and just witnessed the only image that might or will haunt him for weeks.

As they landed safely away from the jaws of death, they finally witness the monster that has been troubling them. It's big, purple, has wings, short legs, a wide tail with a curl at the end, and eyes as it looks like a chameleon. This gives Jyro a lot of fear and somewhat excitement by witnessing the creature, but Nick had other thoughts.
"What the bloody hell is that monster!?" Nick exclaimed, as it rose its head and has one of its eyes glance at their direction
"That... is a Chameleos. An Elder Dragon." Jyro said wearly.
"A what lad!"
"The plains were never cursed, it was its territory, the main reason why people dissapear, and the fog."
"Are... are you sayin' this thing is the reason behind this cursed legend and it turned out ta be a FUCKIN' ELDER DRAGON!"
"Noooo shit." the elder dragon slowly turns to face the two companions, eyeing them who will be its next meal.
"I've seen dragons, but an elder? ... It's been nice knowin' you lad."
"Yeah, it has. I guess I'll have all the brew to myself then."
"I WILL NOT DIE TODAY!!!"
The Chameleos took a deep breath and starts to fog around the area again.
https://m.

"Shit! We lost track of the torch! Stay within this one until the fog is gone, and once we get a clear visual, we run like hell."
"Aye!"
"I guess its time to take this out."
Reaching under his coat and on his waist, he took out a long red leathery rope rolled up in his hands that has a slim tip at one end and a firm stone handle on the other. A whip. A strange sound began somewhere, until Nick spots it.
"BEHIND YOU!" shouted Nick, as Jyro wind his whip and the elder dragon closes in for an attack and in quick succession...
*THWACK!!!*
A satisfying force landed at the base on the horn of Chameleos as it recoils from the impact, in result scarring it. Jyro pulls back his whip, but the red tip made its way back toward his face, it didn't hit him as the entire length re-rolled back in his hand . And yes, IT IS A MAGIC WHIP!
"Crikey! How I missed that sound! I'm still shocked tha' the elder cheiftains gave you that weapon and accepted you as its host. You're more like a monster killer with tha' thing!" said Nick.
"Yeah. I'm glad it's effective, but keep your eyes open for another ambush." said Jyro, satisfied with the result of what his whip can do.
Another sound happend to their side, they heard a burp, and a purple gunk splat in between them as a cloud formed.
"ACK! Poison! Don't breathe its gas!" the human shouted, quickly using his shirt to mask gas. But while they avoid the gas, the elder dragon charged in and lashed its tounge at both travelers. "Agh! Shit. That hurt."
"Blimmey! I can't compare tha' with your whip!"
"... wait." noticing, Jyro checked his pockets and his bag to see if anything is missing, all there is, is his belongings, but lost the rope.
"Shit! It took the rope!"
"What!?"
"Quick! Check yours!" hearing this, Nick dropped his hammer and checked his bag. Everything is there, but...
"THA' FUCKIN' TOUNGE STEALIN PIKER STOLE ME BITS!!!" he picked up his hammer and pounding the ground with great force, "COME AT ME YA PURPLE WINGED-LIZARD REJECT AND LET ME SNAP THA' TOUNGE OFF WITH YER JAW!!!"
"No, Nick! You can't get close to it an- LOOK OUT!" seeing the elder dragon now charging toward his companion, Jyro quickly shot his whip to wrap one of its purple legs, he pulled as hard as he can, and successfully tripped the elder dragon to its side, helpless trying to get up.
Seeing this as an opportunity, Nick rushed in, "GIVE. BACK. ME. MONAAAAY!!!" he swung his hammer with great force to the stomach of the elder dragon, making it force out whatever was in its stomach and puked.
Finding what he was looking for, it is far from being the gold coins as it became melted and black. Apparently, the stomach of a Chameleos carries poison and in result destroying and breaking down minerals. This upsets Nick even more and in rage, he winds his hammer for a devastating blow to the head. While doing so, the human noticed the fog started to fade and he began to search for the next torch thet saw recently. And thats where he saw it, the blue flare through mist, thats his opportunity to move, and immediately sprint towards the next torch.
*BOOOOMMFFF!!!*
*STOP MUSIC HERE!*
While running, he heard and felt the tremors if Nick hammer, knowing he might finish the job, so that's when he has to pull him in. Jyro shot his whip to his companion as it extends magically to reach its target.
A huge dent has marked on the elder dragon's head as it now laid lifeless, "Ha... haha! Tha's wha' ya get!" he panted, he seeing the slain elder dragon with a broken horn. Nick saw something purple and shiny within the broken horn, "Hmm? Wha's this?" he picked up what it was and it looks like a gem. Speculating this made Nick to smile even more, until he felt something wrapped his waist.
"Oh no- GAAA!!"
Nick has been pulled and sent flying across the plains at great speed. Once he is close, Jyro gets ready to catch him, and as crazy as it sounds, yes he has done it before. In total distance, it is approximately 73 yards in length the whip has pulled. Its standard lenth is about 4.5 yards so the magic helps its reach. It may be longer depending the whips magic. Right when he is within range, Jyro was planning to attempt to grab the back collar of his shirt on one hand and grabbed his tail on the other, but he suddenly felt something that was not suppose to happen and fell forward. The flying kangaroo landed hard creating a trail, not too far, and slowly get up while in pain.
"Oof. Blimmey! At least warn me when you are about ta do tha'. Ya almost snap me waist." said Nick while easing and cracking his waist, but felt sore on other places, "Agrh! Plus, I thought ya were suppose to catch me, why aren't you-" he stopped, and now looking at his partner on all fours.
Jyro begins to fade out, but he used his will to stay on his hands and knees, yet he is panting like he has run ten miles non-stop. Nick became a little concern for his companion seeing he is not in good shape.
"Aye? You alright?" the human slowly stood up, trying to keep his balance but he felt he cant even keep his balance at all.
"... oh no." he said, weary. He turned to his friend grabbing both his arms.
"OW! Shite! I'm sore there mate. Are ya sure you are okay?" asked Nick, as he felt small pressure on his arms feeling he is trying to crush him, or try to lift him up, "Um... lad?"
"I... can't..."
"What?"
"I can't... lift you."
"What are you talkin' about lad?" not sure what his partner means, but until he understands what he means... "... Hold on a sec lad." he searched for a decent size rock to test his theory, "Here. Try holding this." He handed the rock to his partners hands, until it immediately drops to the ground along with him.
"... ow."
"Crikey..."
"Yeah. There goes my strength. That sleep only gave me time to get here and pull you." he said as his voice now sounds like he is ill. Nick helped him up and used his shoulders for support as they begin to continue on. Jyro opened his hand until his whip returned to his palm and rolled up and put away on his waist. No, this does not mean he's a jedi.
"... Then we must hurry, laddie. Gods know how long we have to walk on this cursed land. Or how many we have to pass those bloody torches."
"... How about one?"
"*!* Say what, lad!?
"While you were in the middle of pounding that Chameleos, I saw how far we need to go," walking up ontop of the hill, the sun was about to set as it still lights up the land they have longed searching for, "... just one. More. To go." both marveled at the sight of the beautiful green land and cool blue sky.
"We did it, lad! We made it!"
"Yeah, we did." Jyro said, as he is beginning to fall asleep again, "Nick, we have to-"
*TOOT TOOOOT*
Hearing that familliar sound out in the distance, they see a train making its way. Seeing this as an opportunity, they plan to hitchhike the train. Nick has something in mind that will help his friend to get on.
"Get on me back lad, you may not have the strength, but I still need your guidance." said Nick, as he heft his partner giving him a piggyback.
"Wow. Aren't we getting close." Jyro joked.
"Yeah yeah, laugh it up. At least your sense of humor is still there." rolling his eyes, he got his friend ready, "Okay. I'm gonna go full sprint, so hang on tight yeah?"
"... Go for it!"
Jyro wraped his arms and legs around his companion's upper torso, and prepare a very bumpy ride. The two travelers have finally reached their destination, the land of 'hopes and dreams' as they call it, await on a train ride. What will they hope to find, what will they gain as they travel, and what adventure awaits them? Till, next time!
Meanwhile at Canterlot Castle
Princess Luna looks out at the distance from the balcony from her room, seeing as the sun was about to set. She has forgotten how beautiful the sunset is, but from atop the mountain, it is even more vast. She can't stop staring at it, but it won't last long, as her sister's sun now hides behind the distance, it is now her turn to raise her beautiful moon. Slowly it rises the twinkling night blue sky to its highest peak as it glows brightly and luminates the land. Such a sight to behold on her perspective, but in her thought, she can only face the fact that people can't truly see it beauty and what this time of day represents their princess. Knowing that is one of the causes that made her jealous as darkness took over her, one thousand years ago. She hopes that one day, at least one pony at least admires her night, but she will not know if she stays locked in her room. She thinks it is best after the incident about two weeks ago. At least the locals from Ponyville were very forgiving and welcoming, but here in Canterlot, let us say, they know how to put down the mood. At least, in this time of era, there will be something new, and hopefully one pony will appreciate her night.
*SHUDDER!*
"*GASP!*"
Luna immediately dropped to her knees, feeling that cold sensation that she felt earlier today. It felt stronger this time, but she starts to worry what this means. Has Nightmare Moon survived and try to corrupt her again, or is this something else. What ever it is, she fears what may result to this.
*Knock Knock Kncok*
Hearing the knock on the door, Luna immediately stood up, but felt a bit dizzy after that strange feeling. She shook off the feeling and sat by her desk, next to the balcony entrance. Another three knocks she heard from the door and a voice was heard in the other side.
"Sister, are you alright?" recognizing her voice, she sighed in relief, "I heard something in there and it sounded like you fell."
"Yes, we art well." she answered, "We merely sat down and bumped our desk. No need to worry." she cursed herself for continuing to talk.
"... Alright then. Well *yawn* I'm off to bed. Goodnight, Luna."
"Goodnight, sister."
Celestia stood by the door for a moment longer wanting to say something else, but decided not to. She had a busy day, and she needed rest. Another day she will talk to her sister more, and more time to spend with her.
"Maybe tomorrow I will spend some more time with her. Yeah." Celestia said, silently.
Hearing hoofsteps growing faint, Luna relaxed and began to think about this sensation. She wondered why her sister stood by the door for a moment, probably she wanted to say something more, but that is not important now. This strange sensation may happen again at somepoint, she must find the source of this, but she does not know the cause yet. The only way to do so, is wait. But the more she waits, the sensation will probably get stronger. She really wanted to enter the dream realm, and return to her duties as a protector of dreams. But, her magic is weak, and from what those magic experts say, she may fully regain her magic by tomorrow. Yes, that will be the day she may find her answer. Hopefully. She stood up from her desk, removing her clothes piece by piece, leaving them on the floor, now fully stark, she stretches as her moon glows through her balcony, shining on her night blue figure showing her cutie mark on both her cheeks, she walks to her bathroom where she can calm her nerves before she can sleep. During her bathing, there is one other thing in mind, that she was thinking about dating. This thought came to mind ever since her return, three days after, she wanted to have somepony to be with, somepony to care, and hold you. Whatever this new era has came to be, there is no chance that will ever happen. But to hope, is the only thing she can think of. Finishing her bath, she dries up her night-blue coat and starry mane, brushed her teeth, putting on ger light blue pijamas, and finally crawled in bed. She can't help but being giddy of how comfortable the bed is. At least in this era has made some improvements, maybe one day she can see the world more. Then the thought of having somepony by her side during her travel.
"... One day."
