Things have escalated quickly.

"So if I get it right, by allowing the beam blades to be wider you reduce the cutting power but increase the splash damages? Is it really worth it?" said the woman i had be talking with for the last 4 hours, it had started with the usual princess entering my hangar but this time followed by a new face, before we could even get acquainted she started asking question about me even noticing that my forearm and hands weren't my original one, at least the one of the kshatriya. Rapidly it devolved into a messy and heated yet enjoyable talk on MS, we talked of the equestrian MS technologies first but it was mostly basic stuff for me, it's when we started talking about my body, it got crazy.

"Oh yes it is, if I slash at a MS limb, even if I don't cut it off -wich i would in most case- or just graze it the extensive heat will compromise its structure and damage it's internal too much for it to work. And the wider blade can be used to block beam lasers or bullets."

"Oh! So it's a defensive add on!"

I nodded with I finger raised like a teacher, "yep, i have six blades and can use all of them at the same time so my fighting style is to block or parry and counter attack to force my enemies into defensive position before starting an onslaught of furious slashes with all by blades leaving no opening for counter attack."

The woman was smiling with dreamy eyes,"*sigh* it must be beautiful to see a MS like you fighting. T-though i am sure we can found upgrades you could use i-if we wanted too...i mean! M-maybe."

I snickered, since the start of our conversation she has been going into short burst of bragging but she always backed down at the end, celestia did tell me she had confidence issue though hers are kinda novel. "The princesses said I was joining on a mission sometime soon so you'll have records."

*Squee*

"It's true?! I really can't wait to see them, i just talked with you for a few minutes and I already have so many ideas, and a lot can be made using the technologies you shared with us when you gave us the new MS the bearer pilotes would use."

"About that, I also was going to check on the MS of spike sparkle, see what he look like and decide on the repair it need. Want to come with me, i'll probably use the 3D holographic projector again to simulate the repair as I establish what repair it need."

*Gasp*"if I want to?! I need to! Let's go, don't make me wait."she jumped on her hover car and I led her to the hangar where spike gafran was parked.

Here he was, inside a square storing spot with three bridge surrounding it to give access for the engineers, I looked it over, it was missing it's left arm Which was replaced by a heavily armored daughtress arm with a three fingered hand and while the tail was here the canon had clearly been cut in two. The right arm was equipped with a flamethrower and the chest diffuse beam cannon was -while less potent than the one from gundam- indeed a diffuse beam cannon meaning dragon had beam technologie still, the three long slash across it made it unusable.

My new mech nerd friend sneered, "this MS is a real mess, its unbalanced with too much weight forward and the replacement arm is too armored compared to the rest, the special weapon in its torso is damaged and is a real hazard that could kill the pilot anytime if it misfire, i had read about it but i didn't think it was that bad."

"It's adapted to my fighting style." we both turned to spike atop a nearby bridge, he had a pad into its hand and was grinning at us, "the left arm is more armored to allow blocking attack without risk while i use my my right arm to wield my sword, as for the rest well i tend to plunge forward a little too much i admit."

The new leader of the development team sneered, "a sacrificial brawler then? You do know blocking blow with a limb is damaging the whole MS right? And what about the torso?"

Spike snorted, "the result of my battle speak well of my fighting style and my gafran can take the punishment, and we can't replace the cannon or take it out, the canon isn't built in its the gafran who is built around it. of all the girls enemy to have a change of heart why was it you Faust dammit."

The girl backed away as if struck hard.

I clapped my hand startling everyone inside the hangar, "calm down you two, i don't know if you two have an history and honestly i don't care but spike, she's going to be the new leader of the development team so you and her will see each others often so try to get along."i heard said leader huff in satisfaction and pointed a finger at her,"it's also in your best interest, if you antagonize every pilot like that your creations won't be of much use if they refuse to use them."

"I-i...ok I'll try to stay professional, you ear that gecko? We'll keep our personal feud outside of work."

Spike crossed is arms,"fine by me! And i am not a gecko!"

*sigh*"anyway, i think i can recreate a proper left hand easily enough, I'll put more armor in the spots you use to block but also make them into potential weapon or tools, maybe a serrated steel plate along the forearm to break and bend the enemies blades you block. For the left hand, a big three fingered claw for slashing or a fist with plated knuckle for punching?"

Spike thought about it with a hand on its chin,"i am more used to slashing so i would say the claw."

And the leader of development got the chance to step in,"maybe but you already have a sword for that, some way to inflict blunt damage would be good."

Spike hesitated to dismiss her but relented seeing me nod in thought,"true, could we use both? A smaller hand with both claw and plated knuckles?"

"I can do that, it will be a five clawed hand with plated knuckle then. I'll solve the forward weight problem by fixing the tail, i'll put in a long rang high penetration sniper in it to give you a long range weapon."

Spike grimaced,"bad idea, i'm not good with ranged weapon, i'm not as bad as applejack but i prefer rapid fire weapons since i lack precision."

The leader pinched the bridge of her nose."a long range wide area of effect weapon? If it was that easy to make a development team wouldn't be needed."

"While it isn't easy to make it's doable,hmmm."i looked through my different weapons plans gathering different parts and using my computing system to build a new weapon.

'i'll combine the zeon MS gouf heavy machine gun with special flacks bullets, the belt will path through the tail and by taking out the torso canon using the nanomachines i should gain enough room to stack bullets in spades. The short to medium range flamethrower will be upgraded by adding many retractable beam ribbons, they'll grab the target and drag it into the flames. We will also upgrade the original frame as much as we can while keeping it a gafran.'i nodded in satisfaction.

"Alright everyone!" i said gathering the attention of all the hangar workers and spike and it new frenemy."i have made the plan for the repairs and upgrades, some parts will be made by me but it's up to you to dismantle this bad boy and place the new parts so let's get to it!"

The equestrian rushed along my command, as for the new development team leader, she looked at me from what she thought was a blind spot but the camera all over my body picked it up, she had this determined and passionate look, one that said:'i'll be like this one day too.'

'she's way more fitting for this position don't you think hacks?'

-agreement, during your conversation i picked an increase in neuronal activity of 35 % from you kshatriya, it accelerated the MS-BB development by 11% making it 79% complete, the remaining % are the arousal and sexual system.

"Miss kshatriya?"i turned to the leader,"I'd like to thank you personally for allowing me to reach this position, since the last 5 years i have been trying to help equestria but my now useless magic wouldn't give me the confidence to go on the field, i am a coward but i refuse to be a leech. I will do all i can to produce the best Mobile Suit for our forces, or i am not called trixie lulamoon."

I was very impressed by her speech until i noticed,"ah! This was what we forgot to do!" i bowed lightly,"i am kshatriya, pleased to make your acquaintance."

"Eh? Oh! Right well, i-i am the motivated and determined Trixie Lulamoon, and i hope your f-f-f-friend." she ended with a stutter and a blushing face while avoiding my eye.

*chuckle,*"sure thing trixie, follow mecha nerd stand together right?"

She smiled and nodded, we spent the rest of the day monitoring and helping the gafran rework.

Two day later, celestia and luna invited the newly named unit ' the rainbow guides' because they have 7 members made of rarity, applejack,pinkie pie,rainbow dash, fluttershy, twilight sparkle and spike sparkle. And because they will be the one to lead forward the equestrians counter attacks, along them was also maud and sunset.

They all sat on a table in front of me with with folder in front of them, even me.

Celestia stood up,"as i told you all some time ago, a mission of extreme importance was to happen soon, the mission is called 'new rise', it is the first step to equestria counter attack and dare i say one of capital importance."

Twilight eye widened, "wait you mean?"

Luna noded,"new rise objective is the retaking of equestria old capital canterlot and free the royal guards and the nobility knight held prisoners there, but also the MS of my sister and most of equestria old units hidden there."

Celestia took over,"in the folders in front of you you will found that in the past equestria had a large army of MS, they were used to hunt down and destroy the many threat left by discord rule and later the army of grogar followed by those of sombra, as you can expect the bigger part of those units are damaged beyond operational capacity, but!"

Maud nodded,"we could use the material from scraping them to built new MS using kshatriya blueprints, each of your gundam drained our stock of ressources and i don't think we can produce only units of this caliber. We should reduce the specs for a mass produced model."

I shook my head,"i don't like the idea to mass produce weak units, it's not cost effective with how much we would lose in term of units and pilots."

Rainbow grimaced,"talking of pilot kshatriya, it's also one of the gundam problem, i piloted the wing and i can tell you for sure most pilot will struggle piloting it, they are simply too reactive and powerful. Every step you take you have to measure not only to keep the balance but also no to overshot. And don't get me started on the grip on the weapon, i feel i might crush my sword handle every time i block a blow and if i ease the grip i have to be careful not to let it slip off my hand. Average pilot will still get killed because of the new model specs, because of them being to high for them that is."

I thought of otto piloting the tallgeese, unable to pilot it actually."that's... I didn't think of that, I'm so used to exceptional pilot i seem to have forgotten that they are, indeed, exceptional."

Everyone nodded in either realization or agreement, sunset talked next."we could also use the old ether reactors here, with them we could increase the wall mass and speed, even upgrade it for it to do more precise shape than a basic wall, we wouldn't be able to do overly complex thing but we could make him shape room and allway gaining time by not having to dig them out."

Applejack hummed,"this raise the question of what will we do if we indeed retake canterlot."

Rarity frowned,"what do you mean darling?"

"I mean will we move our base operation there after all the work we have done here?"

Celestia shook her head,"no it's too dangerous, the changeling had more than enough time to map the entire city and i don't doubt open new entry and secret passages, beside the wall cannot be used as efficiently as here."

"Instead celestia and i decided the best thing to do would be to simply recycle canterlot."

We all looked at luna like she had lost her mind and pinkie pie asked unsure,"princess you do know we are talking of a city right? A like really big city! Built on a mountain?!"

Luna smiled,"i do, and sister too but this is why we gathered you today, to explain our plan in details."

Celestia grabbed the folder on the table and opened it,"the first step of the plan is for the heavyarms and the sandrock to assault the gate of the city with the regular army and the modified grandeen, using the ruckus as a cover for agent feral' who will have to sneak in with the deathscythe so that she may reach the prisoner, canterlot isn't into the magic negation tower range so you will be given an MS teleporter panel, once the gate open we will send in the wing gundam and the shenlong, the wing gundam speed will allow it to help both frontline while the other two will assure the safety of the prisoner during the evacuation. understood everyone?"

i raised a hand,"what are those panel and where do i feet in this plan?"

celestia turned to sunset who nodded,"the teleporter panel work like the eject system installed into our MS to save our pilots, except instead of a instantaneous teleportation it create a gate between two place and let people and object pass freely, its an MS scaled gate so it allow for massive transportation, the problem is its proportional energy consumption who make it impossible to power it with only technologie, it instead use magic to power itself, once magic isn't fed to it...the technologic part take over and we have only up to 20 minutes before the energy run out and the gate need to be closed."

maud turned to me with a cold look,"its can be very dangerous, if the portal is not closed but left open till the entire energy is gone it collapse and the whole surrounding is erased in a large area."

everyone nodded in serious understanding, celestia then turned the folder page,"it's also the reason why your mission will be a furtive one kshatriya, once a gate is opened the changling will notice it and try to use the short range mana jammers they stole to the griffin, if they get and remain in range the gate will have to be shut down or will collapse, so while the deathscythe infiltrate the prison you and luna in her bertigo will go for the place where the remnant of the old equestria army is hidden with the panel, once both team are ready you will open the portal at the same time, a recovery team will go through yours and luna's portal to transport the remnant, while you ensure their safety luna will reach for my MS deeper inside enemy line, under the castle."

i crossed my arms,"i don't like the princess going alone into the enemy fort..."

luna laughed before answering,"don't worry friend, i will not go above ground, i will just pick the MS and come back before you know it. beside the changling will be more focused on the prison to even see me coming, the prisoner are a vital resource for changeling, i won't go into the detail but trust me on this."

"i hope so, i really do."

we made the last adjustment to the plan and decided to go to bed, the mission would take place the same day of the next week, a sunday, they day of a 'new rise'.

the five newcomer will be important character but can still die.

I REPEAT, IN MY STORY ANY CHARACTER CAN DIE ASIDE OF THE MANE SIX KSHATRIYA AND THE PRINCESS CAN DIE AT ANY TIME WITHOUT WARNING. (either sniper or ambush all is possible in war, even poisoning.)

so be sure you can see you oc or favorite mlp character die before putting them under the spotlight, wednesday is the last day i can accept names, it should give me just enough time to write the chapter before sunday.
