The One Where Pinkie Pie Asks Rainbow Dash Several Questions

Over at the castle of friendship, Rainbow Dash & Twilight Sparkle were reading their own books...when Dash decided to bring up Pinkie Pie.

"Hey Twi," said Dash, "you mind if I ask you something?"

"Sure," said Twilight.

"Did Pinkie Pie...ask you the dreaded question?"

"What do you..."

She immediately stopped when she realized what Dash meant by that.

"Wait...you don't mean..."

"Yup," said Dash, "she asked me the same question too, when we both chillaxing down by the lake."

"I had a feeling she would ask you the same thing she asked me," said Twilight.

"Let me ask you this," said Dash. "Did it bother you when she asked if you had a special somepony in your life?"

"A little, at first," said Twilight. "I know that she's looking out for us since we're close friends...but the problem is, questions like that can come across as more...personal."

"I get what you mean," said Dash. "She asked me if I was dating Soarin, who of course is one of the wonderbolts...even though it's pretty clear that we're just friends. And even though I told Pinkie that I was thinking of dating him at some point in the future...I only said that just to make her feel better."

"Wait," said Twilight. "Are you telling me that...you lied to her?"

"What? No!" said Dash. "In all honestly, I could actually see myself being him. He's fun to hang out with out, and we both have some things in common. So in the end, it wasn't really a lie. I just wanted Pinkie to get off my back about it."

"Well, at least you were being honest," said Twilight. "I can't really say the same thing about myself..."

"Why? What did you say to Pinkie?" asked Dash.

In a nervous tone, Twilight said...

"I told her...that I was thinking of dating Flash Sentry."

"Wait," said Dash, "who's he again?"

"The orange Pegasus who's one of the royal guards over in the Crystal Empire," said Twilight.

"Huh. I'll admit that I don't remember him the last few times we were over at the CE," said Dash. "Do you know anything about him?"

"That's the whole problem...I don't!" said Twilight. "I know more about the human version of him over in the world that Sunset Shimmer has been living in. The pony version of him, however...absolutely nothing!"

"Hey Twi," said Dash, as she went over to her friend, "don't worry about it. Just tell Pinkie the truth...and all of this will be cleared up."

"But," said Twilight, "what if I end up hurting her feelings?"

"Believe me...it's best you tell her the truth NOW than wait later on to say it," said Dash, "Remember when I couldn't bring myself to tell her I didn't like pies?

"You...got a point there," said Twilight.

Eventually, Twilight told Pinkie the truth.

And they both gave each other a hug to show they were back on good terms.

While Dash was glad that was over with...

She had a feeling that Pinkie has also been asking the exact same question to the others.

It seems that the work of a pegasus...is never done!
