(Chapter 10: Home Sweet Home… And The New Girl)

(Home Sweet Home… And The New Girl)

The birds were singing outside. The wind was blowing through my window. The sun was perfectly position in front of my balcony to strike me directly in the eyes.

This was home, and I loved it.

After so long away from home it’s good to finally sleep in my own bed.

I get up and make sure not to disturb Green Flame. Still hearing a soft snore of my girlfriend means I have succeeded In my endeavour.

I went over to my wardrobe and decided not to use my armour today. That is all I have been wearing and I need to change up. You know, keep it 'Fresh'.

I grab my brand new clothes.

I will be only wearing this when I am not going into battle. And might I add it looks striking.

Finishing the touch with my crown I hear a soft knock on my door “your majesty” Luke’s voice called out.

Looking at Green Flame, she still asleep so I walk over to the door quietly. I open my door to see my loyal advisor.

Luke notices my clothes. “you look good your majesty. Anyway I have some papers that you need to look at.”

He hands me an inch thick stack of paper.

“Thank you Luke” I reply. “that will be all.”

He politely bows his head and leaves.

I turn to the two guards, A Knight and a Viking. And tell them. “do not disturb me unless it’s the utmost importance.” “Yes, my lord” they reply.

I close the door and walk to my desk.

I set the papers down and grab a quill. I dip the quill in ink and look at the first page.

I was able to take off my cast because it turns out I can regenerate faster than what the doctors thought.

The first page is about taxing. It seems that Green Flame has a tax idea and all I need to do is sign it.

Basically in the capital city there’ll be districts. Where you want to live will have an upside and a downside.

So far there are 13 districts and number one is the capital and is the only one that is not affected. Is the lower the number the higher the taxes but the better the place.

So nobles will have to pay the highest while the farmers in the fields doing honest work will have to pay little.

I signed the papers related to the taxes and move onto the next set.

The next set of papers are related to the third ring wall. It will cost us 67 gold pieces. I signed it instantly and move onto the next.

After about a few hours of work I finally get to the paper that I really wanted to see.

The papers for Fort Dara.

This will be my greatest project. Not only will Fort Dara be the Key! For the humans to come back. It will also be a safe haven when things go bad.

Fort Dora will not only be a fort but also a research facility.

When Fort Dara is complete it will be impenetrable and will be able to withstand any attack sent it's way.

A cup of tea was placed in front of me and I jumped at its site. I could hear a familiar chuckle beside me as I heard Green Flames voice. “Someone’s been working too hard, I’ve been up for at least two hours“

I looked to the balcony and noticed that the sun was no longer on the horizon. “Oh, sorry I didn’t greet you. It’s just that I have a lot of work to catch up on”

“I know” she said “just don’t go work yourself to death. I don’t want my fiancé to leave me all alone to raise a kid single-handedly. I won’t be able to last a day.”

“Hey, don’t be so hard on yourself” I said to her. “It’s true that you’re not attached to him like me, but you will do great I know you will“

She gives me a smile and a peck on the cheek as she walks off to do her duties.

As I continue to finish up the paperwork and get everything signed I noticed a letter. There were two symbols the last one being the sun and the right one being the moon.

‘I wonder who it could be‘ I said sarcastically in my mind. ‘Seriously they don’t need this in the open, and someone could easily snag it up and tamper with the information.’

Deciding to ignore it for now I opened it up. Popped out a single Golden ticket with the words VIP First Class on it. On the letter it read

Dear Lord Doom

You have been invited to the Grand Galloping Gala. I have given you a VIP First Class ticket.

With the VIP Side you can have as many guests as you need for this year Grand Galloping Gala.

With the first class side you were able to have every beverage free along with your Guests. You are also able to skip the line.

You are allowed to bring as many guards as you need. I would not dare allow you to be defenceless.

Sincerely Princess Luna and Princess Celestia.

I put down the letter and looked at the ticket. ‘VIP First Class’ I thought to myself.

I heard Green Flame come in. “What you got there?” she asked.

“A ticket to this Gala thing, some sort of party.” I heard her come close and take a look.

“Oh the Grand Galloping Gala! That place is pretty fun” I looked at her confused.

“Recon mission” she stated simply I just let a little “oh” and start getting back to work.

She shakes her head with a chuckle and set a few more papers down.

I let out a little sigh and was about to continue working until green flame said. “Hey aren’t we going to be late for the noble meeting“

Realizing my mistake, I quickly down the tea and picked Green Flame up bridal style.

Instantly I zoomed off crashing through my door along the way.

(Ding) (Dong) (Ding) (Dong)

Realizing that we were late, I quickened my peace.

As we reached the courtroom, the nobles we’re already seated.

As I slammed through the door all of the nobles stared at us. I look down to Green Flame only to see her blushing madly.

I set her down on her hooves and walk to my spot.

“Excuses for being late. I was caught up in paper work.” I said to the Nobles.

As me and green flame took our seats I looked at the new room.

While the other Court room was good, we needed to increase size for the new nobles I summoned.

There is now 300 total with six factions instead of four. I was able to get proper names for each faction so now we can work well organized.

To the far right is the Military faction. They provide The funds for the military and focus on its weaknesses. Right now they’re focussing on the Navy and getting it more powerful.

To the left of that is Territory faction. They mainly focus on the growth of the kingdom and the best spots to put new towns, buildings and forts. Right now they are focussing on a new port and Dara.

To the left of that is the Population faction. Mainly focussing on the loyalty in the happiness of the subjects. Currently they are building a new park to increase the happiness of the population.

To the left of that is Negotiations and Trading faction. their main focus is to keep the peace with our surrounding neighbours as best as they can. They are trying to get back the money the nobles had scammed us in Equestria. So far no luck.

But at least we got rid of the debt that we owe the equestrians a long time ago.

To its left is The Research faction. Formally known as The Business faction. They try to focus on military, technology, alchemist and enchanting. In this time of peace they are focussing on technology the most. Hopefully with Fort Dora they can focus on two things at once.

The last one is Resources faction. They keep up-to-date with how much supplies we have and if there is enough supplies to focus on a certain task. Currently they are focussing on stone and wood for the Navy and Dara.

We instantly get to work. The common checks and questions came around as we worked to better the kingdom.

We were interrupted with a knock.

One of the Viking tanks guarding the door went to check on it. He poked his head back in and looked at me.

“It’s an envoy from the Pyrkagiá Kingdom has arrived.” I gave him a nod letting them know that it’s OK for The envoy to enter.

The Viking tank returned the nod and open the door. And in came a fiery spirit with a book in its hand.

He rushed down the steps and presented the book to me.

To my shock it was another summoning book. It was bright orange and I had the exact same symbol on my book.

“King Ea wished for me to give this to you he said that it belongs to you and you alone.” He said in his echoey voice.

"Thank you." I replied and grab the book. I was temporarily blinded by the light. as my vision regained I looked at my book. As I look at the new summons they were quite costly. In fact the book was titled the Operators.

The Spy

To know the enemy is the key to victory. Spies are men who have practiced and mastered the art of sabotage and infiltration. While not good in combat his ability to change race as long as it is humanoid in the figure, like the thief, can leave him in an area for months without alarm.

Sing that I have a little bit over 500 summoning points I decided to get one of each.

The room was engulfed in light as five new figures appeared.

The Spy, Assassin, Diplomat, merchant, and Divine Follower appeared in the room. They looked around the room curiously wondering where they were. One by one they’re eyes fell upon me.

The Assassin and the Spy shown respect through their eyes while giving a polite nod. The Diplomat gave me a kind smile as he bowed respectively. The Merchant played with his moustache as he gave me a smirk while saying the words “M’Lord“

The Divine Follower had... Umm... a different reaction.

The divine follower drop to his knees while shouting the words. “At last his greatness has summoned me!” his hands shot to the sky as he spoke to the heavens while continuing his speech. “I am forever in your debt oh great one! For you have saved me, like you have saved all of us! Your greatness is truly amazing! From this day forth I will be loyal to you, and you alone my Lord! And those who do not follow your wishes may they be found guilty for your words of law and true for that is a fact! And no one shall say otherwise for not only do they disrespect you but they disrespect the Divine May you cast them into Tartarus for their crimes for only you and you alone is the one true king of this land!”

The entire room was silent. This guy reminds me of... someone. They talked just like him and would always “shout“. “Umm... greetings! I am king Alexander Doom. I am… pleased, that you know so much of me Divine Follower…”

“Gilgamesh! I am honoured that you would praise me worthy to give you my name Long may you rain!” He answered.

“Uh... yes! But please stand if you are a Divine Follower then there are rules that you must follow.” I said nervously. Never did I have to deal with a guy like this.

“Anything for you the great Summoner!” He replied in earnest

“Rule number one I do not wish you to treat me so great.” The rule stunned him as he looked at me.

“I have not earned such a praise yet. If someone was to be screaming to the heavens while saying such things it would dishonoured me.” I continued.

He begin to think and drop to his knees again this time placing his hands and head on the ground to. “You are right! oh how you are right! Please my Lord have mercy on me for in my haste to serve you I have crossed the line! May you ever forgive me!”

The whole room looked dumbfounded. I looked at green flame who just gave me an “I don’t know” look

“Umm… It’s fine” I said. “Rule number two, stop talking like that. If you want to work for me you will do so as a friend not as a servant.”

He will tell me read to continue his rant but I gave him a look that said “don’t. you. dare!”

He stayed quiet and took a breath. “I will try my best great one. Excuse me, but is like a muscle memory whenever I see talk or hear about the great one and his young”

“That’s fine” I said “just don’t go shouting at everyone you see.”

“Anyways, what is the rest of your names” I continued.

The spy stepped up “I am, Leonardo. And this is my brother, Kamehameha.” The assassin gave me a nod. “Do not worry about him he is always quiet.” I nodded back showing that I was alright with the whole ordeal.

The diplomat stepped up and Bowed with one hand in front and one in the back showing his respect. “I am Nicolás.”

And finally the merchant. Instead of bowing or nodding he had a bag in his hand and kept tossing it up and down. His eyes still shined with respect so it didn’t bother me.

“Greetings my Lord I am Eugene. And it will be a pleasure working-“ he was cut off by Gilgamesh.

“By the divine show at least a little bit of decent respect!” Gilgamesh shouted.

“I am showing respect... my way” that seem to hit Gilgamesh the wrong way.

“Why You-!” “Gilgamesh that’s enough!” I interrupted “thank you Eugene. As for you Gilgamesh, remember what I told you. I am able to handle myself as well”

He put his head down in shame “forgive me, my Lord“

“You are forgiven now if you excuse me I have-“ just then a dark figure burst through the door knocking down both of the Viking tanks.

The dark figure seem to be wearing a black cloak and was surrounded by dark magic covering him in a layer of shadow.

He quickly scanned the room and laid his eyes on me. We locked eyes as a speed that I haven’t seen besides me and he rushed forward.

No one could do anything as he zoomed by them so I had to grab the nearest hard object and protect myself.

I quickly reached for an object and found something hard, without any time to process what I grabbed I brought it up to cover me.

It raise a dagger and charged forward. Just then I noticed what I had grabbed and realized my mistake too late.

He brought down the Dagger and it went through my book causing a bright light to cover the entire room.

When the lights dimmed I saw a 4 foot person on the ground. It’s seem to be a girl but what was odd is that she was a fox!

Seeing a fox when they’re supposed to be extinct shocks me. I then saw that she had the book that got started. The knife is still through the book and I was nearly at my breaking point.

A few more soldiers came rushing in and one tossed me my sword. We quickly surrounded her so that she couldn’t escape. I could feel my anger boiling inside of me.

She started to come to and look directly at my sword. She set down the knife and spoke. "Nice sword, could you kindly point it away from my neck?"

That’s when I snapped I could hear more guards coming but I didn’t want to wait. I didn’t have time to wait!

I charged directly at her fury in my heart and soul. The only thing racing through my mind was ‘Kill. Kill! KILL! KILL!

she jumped out of the way and landed on the other side of the room. Funny how assassins will run away when their plan goes to shit.

Not wanting her to get away using my speed I zoomed behind her. I heard the words "ok, ok, so your mad yes let's talk about it...?" ‘talk, oh we’ll talk when your head is on a pike!’ I thought.

“Look behind you” I replied, noticing she didn’t realize that I had gone behind her.

She flinched as she asked “should I really?“

‘So we got a joker well why don’t you check out my ‘punch-line” I thought. I drove my fist into her back, sending are flying across the room to the other side breaking a few chairs.

‘I had to use a lot of force in the punch what is she a tank… what’s a tank?’ I thought confused.

“Dang… Nice hit.” is she mocking me?

I jump to The other side sword facing forward ready to impale her. As my blade strike it’s seem to bounce off her. I constantly attacked her even though it wasn’t doing much to her armour.

With quick motion, that I thought I only had, she pushed the sword making it strike down fast enough to stick into the ground. That’s why katana sucks sometimes. She said mockingly "Whoa there sonny, we seem to have ourselves in a pickle."

I noticed that she didn’t have a defensive stance so I took this moment to strike. I bashed my head against the snout the one weakness every animal has. Seeing her arms fly forward while being unbalanced I grab them by the wrists. In a motion I leg sweep her so that she is completely and utterly screwed.

I pinned her hands above her head while facing her. "Ouch, hey now watch the face." She just gave me a smirk as if what she did was funny. Was it funny to her to ruin the lives of millions. Was it funny tour to stop the expansion of the human race! Was it funny to her that I failed my mission to protect everyone!

now she has a faceless expression. “No…” I said out loud “you don’t get to change your mind now... not after all the lives you ruined”

She still just stood there not moving.

“Answer me Bitch!” I punched her in the side of the face and then again then again and again.

I’ve completely lost into rage that I didn’t see the room get out of here. I bet they probably think I’m gonna turn into that red psychopath.

Eventually after hearing your so much blood was starting to come out of her nose and a mouth.

“no, I’m not done with you yet” I healed her face and then continued doing it at least three times before my rage finally settle down.

I was breathing heavily tears in my eyes I could hardly see in front of me. “Why?” I asked “why did you have to take everything from me?”

(Meanwhile)
(Third person POV)

Moon caused a flash bang to engulf the room so that she could try to escape or explain herself. Or so she thought.

She began to notice that the room hasn’t changed a bit. In fact it looks like a white field going endless in every direction like something shes seen before.

She was still laying there no longer feeling the weight of Alex. Then a face appeared. It had eyes and teeth but that was it. “Hello~” it’s said in a deep booming voice.

She look directly at it as she spoke. "Ello, you seem... Lovely." She said, not knowing what to say.

It’s seem to find funny her confusion“Hmm ha ha ha HAHA” it laughed uncontrollably. A body begin to form making the shape of Alex. “I can tell that you feel no threat from me but that is only because I’m only using a fraction of my power.” It spoke to her. Suddenly the room explodes with power that would make a God weep... but there still something holding its full potential back.

She blinked before smiling "Good thing I'm not a god then."

It just circled her, leaving one finger on her shoulder and tracing it “True but when it comes to all three of us you stand no chance. You’re lucky Alex haven’t found his true power yet.”

"Maybe… but, you fail to realize what your stare at." She snapped her fingers warping everything to normal. "Reality is my Playground, and everything else my toy." She puts on a thonk face. "And besides, I wasn't supposed to be here I believe."

To which it replied “First of all, correct I wasn't supposed to be here for a while but you forced my hand” then it began to have a sinister look. “Everything you say is your toy. HAHAHAHAHA!” It laughed mockingly. It disappeared and appeared behind her “foolish child where do you think you are” she look around but you notice that no one is around. She heard it suddenly speak behind her. “Reality may be your playground. But the mine, body and soul, is all mine!” Moon looks around but the voice is nowhere in sight.

“Besides why must I fear something that’s bleeds” is the last thing she here before waking up.

Alex is on top of her with a pissed off expression seemingly had wiped off the tears off his face.

(Alex’s POV)

She finally looked at me and gave me a smirk. "Ok I gotta admit, that was fancy. But let's cut the chatter, we're the Hel am I."

I nearly threw a bag full of punches at her again. But luckily for her I need answers. “Are you trying to play dumb!” I scream in her face. “Why did you try to kill me!? Why are you a fox!? I thought yo- our Race was supposed to be extinct!? And last question what are you talking about!?”

She narrowed her eyes at me "the last thing I remember is being on a diplomatic mission with Chrysalis, the emotional queen of changelings, and a huge ass white horse with pink hair." She huff out of her nose pointedly, "And no race forever disappears."

This bitch was getting on my nerves… did she say Chrysalis. I hear a gasp behind me. I see Green suddenly runs away?

‘Right... past trauma... now I hate this bitch more’ I thought to myself.

“So you work with chrysalis?“ I Says, Then picks her up as if she weighed nothing. “Then you’ll find lovely acquaintances in our new dungeon.”

Now underneath my left arm I begins to walk to the front door where she came from.

She blinked.

She smacked her lips.

"Yeah no, you see I'm a little more to handle than you think." She quickly teleport far ahead of me in a non threatening stance "let me introduce myself." My eyes narrow ready for an attack

"I'm Moon, or officially Bader, I've gone through a lot the past 72 hours and among those feats is slaying a Sand Devil." She form some sword out of nowhere stabbing the tip into the ground. I get more in a defensive stance. "I don't know what assassination you speak of, as I was sitting not even twenty minutes ago without an arm in a firefight." I rest my stance knowing that she won’t attack me for some reason now. I dropped my sword so I’m completely defenceless why would she not attack now.

"And I don't know where I am, but one thing I know is that this is not the floor I was laying on five minutes ago, make that six minutes ago." She look over to me lazily as She stand there.

“If you didn’t have an arm then how do you have one now. Your story isn’t adding up” l narrow my eyes.

"I could simply say magic, but I doubt that would be appropriate for the situation. Also if I'm guessing correctly, the assassin was using a knife... that's currently embedded in this book?" She pull out my book with a knife in it out of nowhere.

"It feels magical, and faintly connected to you and some others... so it's either bound, or it's a summoning book." She tosses the book back to me leaving the knife in it. "I wouldn't just pull that knife out without preparation, magic is quite finicky."

“How did-!? You know what! I’m not even going to ask” I closes my eyes and takes a deep breath. ‘none of this makes sense I need to figure out what’s going on.’ I thought to myself.

I instantly stood up straight without my defensive stance. If I’m going to want information I need to be nicer. For all I know she could be innocent. Isn’t there something called “innocent until proven guilty.“ whatever, it’s not important.

I placed the book on my chest where it gets absorbed onto it, leaving only the symbol on the book on my chest. There is still the crack where the knife went through, and knife kind of just bounced off falling to the floor.

“I am lord Alexander Doom” I introduce myself while giving a bow. I stands up straight and continues “my prime objective here is to reassure that the human race comes back and possibly better than ever. You are currently in my capital and the room you are in is called the courthouse.”

“But until we can verify that your claim is true will you please come with me.” I reaches out my hand gentlemanly.

"Ah such a gentleman." She replies as she calmly takes my hand as if the whole ordeal never happened.

I lead her down a few hallways making us go deeper into the mountain that we live on. I notice she tries to stand on her tippy toes, is she trying to reach my height.

I create a note with my magic and send a telepathy spell to Eric to meet me in the interrogation room.

I right on the note everything that happens, the girl name moon doesn’t seem to notice as she’s trying to stand on her tippy toes. Got admit it’s kind of cute in a way.

As we finally make it to the interrogation room I see Eric waiting outside. See his new hand that is Iron, that was made from John so that he can hold the sword and his eyepatch that he doesn’t show around alot.

I let go of Moon hand to whisper into Eric‘s ear and pass him the note. Moon just stares at us and as I finish up Eric leads her inside. “If you would, Miss Moon” he said opening the door for her.

She walks in as she replies with “OK, Captain” me and Eric look at each other not knowing how she knew his rank but I decided not to put up with it today and shrug it off.

Eric close the door as I decided to wait outside. Just then Lee showed up. He Bowed respectfully and looked at me. “Sorry to bother you sir, but there are some matters that you need to attend to.”

I already knew what it was so I might as well get it over with. “Lead the way Lee“ I ordered him.

We made our way back up the palace to the training yard. Noticing at least 100 men slacking off. I let out a frustrating sigh. This is been The third day in a row. Ever since they easily won the war they’ve been slacking off thinking that every battle will be just as easy. At least all of them are recruits and not the veterans

I give them special secretive training.

I walk forward and they all notice me.

“So of you been slacking off, mind telling me why?” I asked them politely, to give them a chance.

“No offence Sir,” said an archer. “But your training in full armour doesn’t cut it. How will it help us in anyway besides slow us down and not make us stronger.”

Yep now it’s time for a special training.

“Here’s the deal boys… and very few girls. If you can land a single hit with one of your have weapons and drawing blood I will personally give you each a royal meal.” I said.

They all look at me thinking that I’m going to be an easy task. Oh boy were they wrong.

(Eric’s POV)

I was in the interrogation room with our suspect. I couldn’t believe that I was staring at another fox but I had to keep my composure. I looked at the paper and sighed. Some of these questions were just stupid but it’s my ass on the line if I don’t ask them.

Before I could say anything she leans back on her chair. “So what you going to ask?” she asked.

“Be careful!” I shout “that chair is very…”(crack) The chair nearly broke “unstable”

She set back the chair and Says "yes, I'll be careful... very weak chair..."

I let another sigh, why do I always get stuck on interrogation duty.

I look at the paper One last time before starting my questions. “So you’re a magic user?” I asked.

She shrugged. "you could say that..."

‘What the hell is that supposed to mean’ I thought. “Then I’m going to have to ask you to put these on.” I brings a Gold necklace with a black crystal and a black ring and offer it to her.

She finally replies after taking them. "Ok... these seem kinda fancy."after she puts them on the enchanted items do their work.

“I’m gonna ask you questions and answer them honestly. The necklace you have around you is enchanted so no one can get away with a lie. The ring you have on is a magic inhibitor. It is only temporary and I can deplete God tear magic so don’t go and try to escape. It’s only temporary and if you answer all honestly then you’ll be free to go. Sound like a deal?” I tell her.

She replies with a calm look on her face "Ok, I don't really see a reason to lie..."

I could see that she was a little irritated so I replied “We’re just making sure miss. Anyways answer each question slowly to not confuse the necklace.”

“What is your name, age, race, and sex?” I asked.

She replies swiftly but yet slowly "My names Bader... I'm 16 years of human age... currently Female."

I ignore the fact she didn’t say her race but I can clearly see that she’s a fox.

“All right... are you the assassin that attacked his Majesty Alexander doom? If you are not do you know the assassin?”

She rested her hand on the Table "if I was the assassin. I would have used something other than a knife." She tap her finger on the table slightly. "No I don't know em, but I got some theories on were they could be."

Seeing her get irritated I tried to calm her down. “I’m sorry ma’am. I’m just following protocol. But it would help if you could give us a theory of where they went.”

"I won't discuss this without..." she then stops, I guess she didn’t realize that Alex wasn’t here. "Without Doom here." never heard someone call him by his last name before.

“Well then I guess you have to tell him after because we have a couple more questions.” I looked at the paper. “You said you were associated with Queen Chrysalis?”

She takes a second to reply. She shrugged again "In a way."

‘What’s with all the secrecy’ I look down at the paper again and I asked the stupidest question. “Do you know if she’s planning on invading our land? are you a spy?”

"No, I can't explain it to you exactly, but she won't invade." She lay both her hands on the table. "if I was a spy, which I'm not, would I try to assassinate him in a room full of people?" She lean farther on the table.

I feel a little hostility but I don’t flinch as part of my training “i’m sorry ma’am, but I must ask these questions if I do not it’s my ass on the line. Please don’t take it personal. Besides it’s the final question.”
Should the NHK (New Human Kingdom) take you as a threat or A friend?”

She giggles a bit "not mad, it just seems kinda... stupid to try assassinating in a room full of people, no I'm not a spy." She lean back a bit once more "it depends, will I have to become one?" Her muzzle sets in an unemotional position.

(Snap) The chair finally broke. She falls back, bashing her head against the ground.

“Ooh ouch... that hurts a bit."I don’t think someone so clumsy could be a threat. And if they are, Alice could probably handle them.

“I’m gonna go with no” I says. I stands up and started walking towards her. I reaches my right hand out and says. “My name is Eric a disciple of Alexander Doom.” I takes off my helmet with my left hand showing my young face no older than 19.

She sits up and grab my hand pulling herself up all the way "thanks, as before I'm Bader, or Moon, nice to meet you Eric." She grab my forearm in greeting.

“Now about that theory” (ka-boom!) The whole room shakes as us both are lifted up in the air and land on our feet. “I can take you to Alex now” I said not bothered by the explosion.

"Ok that would be nice, you guys making a new window?" She ask letting me lead.

I put back on my helmet As we go down the hallway, I looks at her in confused “no we don’t make them windows. We trade off the Equestrian for iron. There’s a lot of iron here so we trade some to get more things. That explosion was probably some discipline Alex is giving some of the new recruits. Or it could be the gunpowder factory that was recently installed.”

She grins a bit "Gunpowder factory ey? Been awhile since I've heard that." She walk along.

“Yeah we’re trying to recreate it. The person who made the damn thing ran away when they lost the war. we asked a few guards and soldiers from the Mide Army but only the king knows and he’s dead.” We continue in silence until we see light come from a doorway as I opens it up and we notice a field of craters and a pretty broken wall.

She snaps out of her daze "...Y'all making dynamite or cannons?”

I looks at her confused “nope this is average discipline.”

She looks at me "so you toss something explosive at them until they don't flinch or...?"

“Nope he just punches them... and kick... A little bit magic... it looks much worse than what it actually is.”

"Have any died so far?" She looks around the field for them.

They start coming out of the craters seeming to be buried into them. “No he gives each one a magical shield to take them from the damage. He only does this to troops that don’t train and refused to follow orders. It actually helps them for when they’re going to battle they don’t fear the enemy as much as they fear his discipline. With magic to get rid of nightmares so that they not hunted by the images that they seen. It’s proven to be effective seeing our soldiers do not fear the enemy no more. While it may be horrifying to watch it’s necessary in order to keep the kingdom stable.”

"Oh, seems reasonable." She tap her foot lightly. "So when does he finish up?"

Just then a purple sphere covers the entire training ground and things begin to fix itself. Shattered armour, craters and the walls. Alex is seen giving a lecture to the hundred soldiers that he just disciplined. They instantly saluted and went to continue on with their day. As the last soldier left Alex collapsed.

"Should we wait a bit longer or..." She say putting a hand on her hip.

“Your majesty!” I shout as I runs towards Alex

She run along with me "aw shite, he's fallen" aI couldn’t tell if she was concerned or mocking him. but I’ll find out later.

I look at his Black fur which is now gray as it is the sign that his magic is completely drained. “Shit” I say out loud. Alex you damn fool.
