I did not have many ideas for this chapter ...

Book and first flashback

Twilight was enjoying her birthday well, because she was happy that her friends visited her. but she still had a bad feeling about Gilda. After the party ended, she escorted the guests to the exit, thinking about whether she did well by giving her element to the griffon.

"Did you like the party?" Thorax asked while nuzzling his wife.

"It was fun ... thanks that you did it for me" she smiled to him.

"No problem my star, i know you miss your friends" he kissed Twilight on the cheek.

Twilight heard a thunderbolt sound and the raindrops.

"I think there is a storm" she said.

"Stay here, I will go check it out" Thorax said jumping off the bed and going to the door.

"Please ... Do not leave me alone here" Twilight caught him by the wing.

"Calm down ... I'll be right back" Thorax said stroking her head,then he smiled broadly "I would forget that I have a present for you" he went to the locker and hoofed her a book. "Read for yourself if you were bored".

She looked at it. On the cover was shown a snake eating itself.

"It looks… nice?" Twilight found the first better word to describe it.

"Thanks… This book was read by my mother when i was little larva" he smiled innocently.

"You mean Chrysalis?..." she asked, rubbing her ears, which were pointed. "I did not know she was your mother"

"You do not know many things about me My Star" he smirked leaving the room.

Twilight sighed and began to read it.

The book worked on Twilight like a drug, drawing in the imagination that created characters for it. When she read and thought so, she did not notice that she had a visitor.

"Umm… excuse me?"

Twilight jumped when she heard a voice.

"DEAR CELESTIA … you scared me" she looked at a female changeling.

"Sorry..." Ocellus cringed.

"I'M SORRY ... I did not mean to scare you"

"It's okay ... I entered unnoticed … you had the right to be scared" Young Changeling stood up on her hooves. "I saw you reading a book"

"Yup … It's very interesting and very good book" she smiled.

"Can I see it?"

Twilight simply gave it to her without any answer. Twilight knew her student likes books.

"Maybe let's read together?" young changeling asked.

Twilight smiled and nodded, leaving space for her. The young changeling sat on a pillow near her queen and began to read, trying not to pay attention to the storm.

"I think I will like it"

Thorax interrupted Twilight's thoughts.

"Can I Come in?"

"Yes"

"Jeez… Will he now constantly ask if he can come in?" Twilight thought to herself.

"Do you like the book?" he asked.

"Yes … It's a nice book" Twilight smiled nervously.

"Good" he smiled and sat at the table.

"Is this a storm?" Ocellus asked.

He nodded

"Thorax? What have you been doing there for a long time?"

"Huh?..."

"Thorax can you help me with those flowers?" Pharynx asked green changeling.

"What do you need flowers for, and why do you plant them during a storm??" Thorax asked slightly annoyed.

"Not my fault that I like them" Pharynx scowled.

Thorax squeezed his eyebrows or something in their place.

" … fine … I will help you …" he said.

"I do not know how to thank you" red changeling smiled and hugged his brothervery strong,but he came to his senses.

"Sorry..." he chuckled and he returned to planting.

"Where do I start "My flower master"?" Thorax asked sarcastically.

"There" he said pointing to the soil. "...And don't call me like that"

"Alright… let's plant"

"I ... uh … was … making … raincoats … YEAH RAINCOATS" he said to get out of the situation.

"It's good to know that you care about us" Twilight chuckled.

"Huh…" he blushed and kissed Twilight.

"Thorax kids are here" she blushed

"Eugh …" Ocellus said disgustedly.

"Sorry for the uncomfortable situation ..., my dear" he smiled sheepishly.

"Phew … Whatever" she said to hide her jealousy.

"I knew you would understand ... that Twilight is my whole heart." he said.

Ocellus began to grit her teeth

Flashback 1

"Are you ready for this battle?" Shining Armor asked his young sister in armor.

"I would do anything for the kingdom of changelings" The lavender mare answered with emotionless expression on her face. "I swore for Thorax"

"Are you sure? Chrysalis can be powerful with her army… After all she did to us"
Twilight shivered at the thought of what Chrysals had done to her brother at Canterlot, then she sighed.

"I know BBBFF, but Thorax will cover me when I charge" she smiled.

"I hope" He gave back smile. "As if something was just wrong, just shout"

"I will" she said to her caring brother with a nervous smile on her muzzle.

"TWILIGHT! OVER HERE!" Thorax shouted to the thoughtful mare.

"How much could you wait for?" Rainbow asked impatiently. "The Chrysalis' army is approaching here"

"Calm down darling … Twilight was talking to her brother" Rarity looked at the rainbow mare. "You're not the only who wants to protect the kingdom of changelings"

"I do not believe that I was able to get involved in it so easily" Gallus commented.

"Headmare Twilight needs our help" Sandbar looked annoyed at blue griffon "Stop acting like a an nestling"

"… fine … I'm just … afraid of my life" Gallus sighed.

Twilight cried out in pain when she saw that HER limbs that were supposed to be in their places laid near her bleeding body. She was lying in a tent,

"TWILY!" Shining tried to get to his sister, but he was distracted by his own soldier.

"CAPTAIN! YOU CANNOT LOOK AT IT!"

"TWILIGHT! WE WON! WE ACTUALLY WON! PLEASE DO NOT GO AWAY" Thorax cried. The desperated changeling king took off her armor and tightened a piece of cloth in the places of her torn limbs so she would not bleed. It did not help her. "No ... NONONONONONONO" he started to panic. Twilight screams did not help him, and only scared him more.

"MINE... I STEPPED ON A MINE" she screamed louder.

"S-sorry Twilight but i need to do this"

"W-WHAT D-DO YOU MEAN?" White unicorn asked him holding back his tears.

"Captain … Hold back your nerves … It does not help in this situation " Shining's guard looked at him.

"... S-sorry … " he looked back at changeling king.

What did you mean?" he asked, but this time calmer trying to hide his tears.

"She must become one of us"

"W-WHAT? N-NO NO! I DISAGREE!" He looked shocked.

"This is the only way out … I love her too … "
