Twilight watched from the shadows of the castle's entrance and muttered under her breath, “I’m sorry, but he is my kill.” She was about to take a step and felt something slip over her head. She was a bit confused on where it came from since she was alone a few seconds ago, that's when it tightened around her neck and started to lift her to the chandelier. She squirmed and tried to escape, but she still had a headache from Applejack stomping on her horn. Her breathing started to grow shallower. As she noticed a silhouette of something moving. She started to grow more and more frustrated with not knowing who was killing her. She sighed and stopped struggling, due to her knowing that she won't escape from hanging this time, and won't be winning this month.

Spike had stopped laughing at his luck with surviving this long and having his friend survive as well. He got up and walked over to where he left Ember and started to wake her up. Ember shifted as she groaned and said as she clutched the side of her head that hit the wall, “Damn, that hurt. I'll be feeling that for a while. How long was I out?”

Spike shrugged and said, “Don't know, I think a few minutes? I think we should get moving, so we aren't caught in the open.” Ember nodded and stood up as Spike headed into the into the woods.

Ember felt bad about lying to Spike, but he wouldn't understand. She glanced around at every noise, then she muttered to herself, “Wish I still had my ax.”

She felt something like her throat and a voice whispered in her ear, “So I can use it on you?” it was a quick pain and she felt something wet going down her chest. She could tell by the stench of iron and where the wetness began that her throat was cut open. She gripped her throat and looked around for the assailant, but couldn't find them. Then she tried to scream at Spike to get his attention, but no voice came out. Her vision was starting to grow more and more blurry, due to blood loss. She collapsed to the ground and gave it one more try as she sat up and leaned against the chair, but this time with more force. He didn't come running, either because he was too far, or her voice was working. She lost movement in her arms and her last thought before her life drained out of her was that she was going to experience death for the first time.

After a few minutes of silence, Spike turned around to see that Ember wasn't following him and he couldn't hear her. He wanted to call out to her but didn't want the others to know where he was, then a voice sent chills down his spine, “Aw, is the lizard lonely. How about I rejoin you with your friends” Gilda came out from behind the tree a good 4ft away from him. He guessed that since she's new, she'll be in for a surprise, but he wasn't going to die right there. He waited for her to sprint at him, then he lunged right under her and took off running. He could hear her running through the branches from the snapping of them. He poured more speed into his running. He didn't want to be caught by her to be tortured before death.

He nearly tripped over a body. He cried out when he realized that the body belongs to Ember. He turned at 90 degrees and headed for the castle since there were doors that he could hide behind, but he had a feeling, as he passed Tempest's body, that it wasn't going to be that easy.
