Spike looked behind as he ran in, Gilda was just walking towards him and she was right to do so, there wasn't an escape to get away from her. There were 2-3 hours left and chances are that they were the only ones left. As he was looking back, he bumped into a body hanging there. He didn’t have to look up to see who it was. Dangling like a worm on a hook was Twilight’s hind leg with her cutie mark.

He tore his eyes away when he heard Gilda’s nails across the wood and her say, “I see that you found my second to last kill. She was going to kill you, so you should be thanking me.”

Spike scrambled to his feet and hurried off into the castle, hoping that he could lose her or find a way to kill her. HIs footsteps stopped at a more than familiar voice, “He’s right there, we could get a kill.” Standing in the nearest doorway was Trixie followed by Starlight. She looked like she was in a fight, her left front leg was up in the air, her left eye was closed to blood running down her face. Starlight said nothing behind her, just stared at him with regret.

That’s when Spike and Starlight realized that Trixie was making a giant ball of magic, Starlight grabbed it with her magic and said, “Slowly release it, that will kill us all and there won’t be any winner.”

Spike didn’t want to tell them that Gilda was still alive since Starlight was trying to save him from a massive death. Trixie said as she placed more magic into it, “I know what I’m doing, just let go of it.”

While they were arguing, Spike slipped out and headed further in. As soon as Spike was at the stairs that lead higher, there was a massive explosion that shook the building. He had to grab the handrail to keep him from falling back down. He turned around to see Gilda brushing off some rubble. She looked up and said, “It will take more than that to stop me, Runt.” Spike forced his legs to move to climb him to the top of the tower.

He scrambled to the top while listening to Gilda yell threats at him. He knew that he couldn’t run forever, but the more time he had, the chance he could have to come up with a plan. But he came to the end of the line, and without a plan. He turned around to see Gilda breathing as heavy as him, but with more strength to kill him. He said as he backed up to the edge, “Wait, can’t we discuss this?”

Gilda shook her head and said as she stepped closer, “We could if you didn’t run off and make me chase all over the castle.”

It was unearthly silent when a voice called out as it got louder, “Get out of the way, I can’t stop.”

Spike didn’t have to look over his shoulder to know who was coming. He dived out of the way as a blur sped past him and ran into Gilda. He peered over as Gilda was cursing and tearing clumsy Derpy to pieces as they fell onto the roof. After a few minutes, the bells rang, making his ears hurt due to him being close to them, signaling that the game was over. He sat down and let the hot tears stream down his face with relief that it was over.
