Hide and Kill
Epilogue
Previous ChapterAfter a few minutes to pull himself together, Spike headed down to see if anyone needed help. He lept two to three steps at a time, then he was sailing through the air. He looked up to see Rainbow flying him to the entrance, where the other’s were gathering to congratulate the winner and put the game behind them. She didn’t say anything, but the look on her face and how she was moving. She was in a lot of pain.
Once they landed, Ember, Rarity, and Twilight all ran over to him and was hugging and congratulating him on his first win and how long he lasted this time. Ember said as she coral him to the stage and through a hoarse voice, “Is it always like this?
Spike shrugged and said, “Pretty much, and I suggest getting someone to help you rule over the dragons while your throat heals.” Ember didn’t say anything and nodded.
As Spike climbed up on the pedestal, Ms. Harshwhinny said as she placed a medal around his neck, “As a token of winning this month’s game, you get this month’s medal, a small sack of bits, and the option to choose up to 3 ponies, or players to play next month.”
Spike saw that Ember’s eyes widened with excitement and horror. Spike noticed that Vinyl and Octavia were down. He spoke up and said, “I’m not going to force them to come next month, but I choose Ember, Octavia, and Vinyl. What do you gals say?”
Octavia looked at VInyl and said as she was answered with a nod, “We’ll be back next month.”
Ember looked up at Spike and said, “If you’ll be here, I’ll come.” Spike nodded and hopped down from the stage.
As he was walking back into Ponyville, he noticed that Gilda wasn’t with them, she probably ran off to lick her wounded pride, but what caught his attention was two ponies dragging a third away as she was kicking and screaming to be released. The medal felt heavy around his neck and he told himself that he’ll try harder next month.
Author's Note
It's finished and as I said at the beginning, I'm never good at figuring it out on paper. It was the first story to gather experience on a new writing style. I'm sorry that it didn't turn out good.
If anyone wants to continue the universe of this, be my guest, but I won't be writing any more of Hide and Kill.
