(Chapter 7)

It’s been a few hours and we finally made it to the Fort of the diamond dogs.

To my left are 100 Battle ready diamond dogs. To my right are the 100 skilled Gondorian guards. Behind me are 15 human Warriors ready to defend their people. We were able to make a few ladders to get us over the wall. We had eight ladders in total, four for each group. Besides the humans.

Upon a hill, to the left, watching over the battlefield are the rest of the humans. Shelob was also there to protect them.

In front of us was a stoner fort that probably had 300 if not 400 Diamond dog warriors.

Their leader Louie stand on a balcony overlooking the wall. He begins to give his speech Loud enough so that we could all hear. “Not fear Traitors! Abandon pack Leeds death! Show we will! Quick death we bring!”

Razor Took a few steps forward in front of his pack. “Brave words for a man who hides behind a wall. I say we see how brave this man is. when we terret down!” The diamond dogs cheered with Razors speech.

Luckily I was in my full Daedric armour making me look more intimidating. I raised my long sword up in the air and shouted the words with the echo voices of the other spirits. “Advance!”

our side charged forward but there are crossbow men and arteries on the walls pin us down The men began to use their shields and take a knee to not take any fire. Luckily I learned a new trick while training. Using the dark Lord’s powers I transformed myself into a mist like the Lich king and the wraith.

I flew up into the sky but as I did sell eight more mist popped out of me. ‘This is new‘ I thought to myself as I landed on top of the wall shocking the enemy.

The eight other mist like figures also landed on the wall away for me on each side and transformed into something I was unexpecting. Wraith’s!

They stood still and as the enemy came closer they struck without warning. If it wasn’t for my enhance speed I wouldn’t be able to see them as I did. “Shit, I knew I forgot something” i’m pretty sure death said.

I saw the sword swing to my face from my right side and I blocked it with ease without looking. Seeing the ugly son of a bitch who tried to stab me, shocked that I blocked his surprise attack Was currently pissing himself… literally I smell piss.

I slowly turned my head towards him. “You done fucked up.” I said slowly. I grabbed his arm and throw him off the edge hearing a crunch sound when he hits the bottom.

Seeing more of them come at me I Block and strike each and everyone of them. I can see darkness behind me covering me.

Finally the latter started striking the sides of the wall. Diamond dogs and Gondorian Warriors flung themselves onto the wall.

I jumped off the wall into a different crowd of diamond dog warriors. I landed on ones shoulder is using him as a boost to bounce myself up.

Using my spirits to jump even further up I got a pretty good view of the battlefield. Time slew down as I drew my bow. I unleashed 30 arrows all making their mark.

Before I fell down I noticed something strange. The diamond dog leader didn’t go back to his fortress to stay safe, but instead it was on the balcony looking frustrated.

Remembering one of my moves I aimed my Second last arrow at him and teleported beside him striking his back while unprepared.

He stumbled forward almost falling off the edge. He turned around and gave me a pissed off expression while launching himself at me.

His mouth wide open I grabbed it and flung him over top of me and cracking his back against the balcony.

I stepped on his stomach and blood poured out of his mouth. “H-How?” He said through the pain.

I’ve been down. “I am the Lord of vengeance.” I stated coldly. “But more importantly... I am the Lord of humanity” I said wow my helmet disappeared showing my human face.

I stood up as he tried to get away. “you slaughter humanity and A warrior was reborn.” I said well I brought my boot to his face. After hearing the crunch of his face and the splatter of blood on the stone finally made the battle stop.

(Three hours later)

And army of diamond dogs, former slaves and humans stood in front of me. There seem to be a very big tension as both sides were split apart to each side of the room.

I was sitting on this Chieftains chair while Samantha was sitting on my lap looking curiously at the crowd. I had removed my armour and equipped the vengeance armour

The eight Wraith’s haven’t left my side ever since I killed the diamond dog Chieftain and have been constantly watching my back.

Sheila is currently eating an apple and enjoying herself as she sits on a chair cross legged.

My wolves lay in front of me resting their heads and bodies but constantly on alert.

Razor was beside me mace in hand.

Currently I was processing information I received. The diamond dog that I just killed wasn’t leader of the entire clan. In order to find the leader known as the chieftain Lord I will have to conquer all that he owns.

I look in front of me and count our numbers.

Civilians:

While our numbers may be small I can work with this. “Greetings everyone, I am your new Lord. You shall know me by my five titles. The Lord of brightness, the Lord of darkness, the Lord of death, the Lord of vengeance, but my favourite the Lord of humanity. Now I know that you are all better of the past but I’m telling you now you must get over it. ‘tis the only way-”

“What do you mean get over it!?” A human with a rough beard and ragged clothes stood up in front of the crowd and shouted at me.

“I know it will be hard-“ I was interrupted again. hard! You have no idea do you!? I saw my family being slaughtered and eaten by these monsters!”

I knew I wouldn’t get anywhere with him, so I thought of a quick way which was a little risky but I know he won’t do it. I look to the nearest child diamond dog and walk to them. The young pup was being guarded by his father and mother who I assume and look at me fearfully.

I grabbed a young pup and their parents instantly started begging for me to let him go. The father even stood up and was ready to fight but the wraith’s stood in front of him faster than lightning and ready their weapons.

The father stand down but looked at his son fearfully, scared for his life.

The pup was crying and I quickly brought it to the man who stood up in front of the human crowd. I presented the pup in front of him and gave him a dagger.

He looked at me shocked and confused.

“Go ahead and kill the pup” I said shocking the room.If you kill this pup I won’t arrest you considering you have my permission.”

The man was shaking with The dagger in his hand unsure what to do. “Go ahead, become a monster like me” I said darkly.

He slowly raise the dagger up with it nearly falling out of his hands due to how much he was shaking. The room was completely in utterly silent unsure of what will happen.

“How will your daughter see you now” The room sounded like glass shattering.

The man was completely frozen and a few tears fell down his Face. “How would she react to her father killing an innocent pup just so that he can get revenge. How would she be able to look at you again without seeing a monster.”

The room was silent and the man looked down. The man began to notice the pup the pup was shaking and was scared for his life.

The man drop The dagger and fell to his knees. He began saying the words “I’m sorry sweetie, daddy sorry” I snap my fingers and appeared beside me a wrath. I ordered him to take the pup back to his family. I crouch down and placed a hand on the shoulder of the man. He looked up at me with tears in his eyes.

“I became the Lord of vengeance so that no one else will have to become a monster. I heard from a wise man once that “if we take the world as an eye for an eye, then the world will go blind.” The pain you feel and the revenge you want will only hurt others who have nothing to do with it. I too have lost someone very close to me by a man who I once called father. I know your pain but revenge is not the answer. My goal for this world is to make sure that everyone is happy and no one has regrets. Even if I must sacrifice my sanity to do so I will without hesitation.” I finished my speech and the man was speechless. I hugged him letting him know that it’s OK to cry. He did so in the room now knew why I did what I did. I know revenge will never be gone that’s why I took it up so that others do not have to.

I felt a small pair of arms wrapped behind me so I let go of the man and turned around. I noticed Samantha holding me tightly while crying. “Sweetie what’s wrong” I say to her.

She sniffles and finally answers “you’re not a monster daddy… (sniff...) you’re a hero.”

I had completely forgotten about her in the room. I have her tightly and whisper into her ear. “I know sweetie, I know“

(Three days later)

These past three days have been intense. The humans still don’t wanna work with the diamond dogs and the diamond dogs don’t wanna work for someone that can easily enslaving them with a snap of the fingers.

The army is in worse standards considering that were more like a mob of angry peasants than an army.

We have a shortage on the food, shitty armour and weaponry, no siege equipment, zero medication resources, The people could riot at any minute and the chieftain lord Will receive the news any day now of his settlement being captured… Could be worse.

I heard a frantic knock on my door. “Come in” I said. Razor stepped in having to lower his head to not hit the doorframe.

“Boss you might want to hear this” he said. I looked confused but nodded my head.

He stepped aside and a young human girl stepped in. She worn tattered Brown clothes with no shoes. She looked hesitant towards Razor before stepping past him.

She looked at me with shock sing that I was human. “Hello” she said in a meek voice.

“Greetings” I said cheerfully. “Is everything alright Citizen“

She looked at me confused and then razor spoke up. “actually boss, I found her outside of a cave”

I looked at him shocked then looked at her. She nodded her head and began to explain. “I just escaped an auction, then I ran into your friend, I thought I was a goner but he brought me here and.. I Just can’t believe it”

I have a small smile as I pat her on the shoulder. “Do not worry, for you are safe here, but tell me more of this auction“

She begins to think before saying”there’s a few hundred humans and dozens of different races come to buy them every day. My friend golden wing is a griffin who is also being sold by the auction. Please you have to rescue her.”

Her comment took me by surprise. Ivan piece to the balcony while whispering under my breath. “So there’s hope for peace after all.” I quickly turned to Razor. “Gather all the troops!” I yell. “our time is now“ he salutes me then runs off.

I turn to the girl one last time. “Will you guide us the way?” She shakes her head yes but I still see hesitation. “What do you plan to do?” she asked me.

I retreat to the balcony and lay my hands on the rail. I could see our Warriors getting ready for the fight.In one word I answered. “War”
