After the painful events and near death experience Spike suffered in his last adventure, Twilight and the girls have decided to take him along on their beach trip to relax and recover from his ordeal. However, discovery of his first rutt cycle and the possible dangers that come with it have left a dark cloud hanging over the group.

Celestia fears that Spike's suffering lay squarely on her shoulders and her failure as a mother. With the news of Spike's rutt, a terrifying and unknown dragon condition, she fears she may fail again. She has become so desperate that she has even considered consulting a brilliant, yet unstable mind that has been kept secret from the rest of the world. He may have the answers she needs...but will the risk be worth it?

Twilight is desperate to help Spike recover, yet her mind is trouble by strange new feelings for her number one assistant after a heated moment weeks before. Her greatest desire is to see Spike smile again...but will things change between them? Is her judgement merely clouded by her own heartbreak and worry for him or could there be more?

Spike is glad to finally be out of the hospital and away from Canterlot and the bad memories made there. He even seems to have gotten over the pain inflicted by his believed-to-be-love Amethyst. But now something else haunts the recesses of his mind. Over the past few weeks his dreams and memories have been dominated by a mysterious dragoness. One that nopony else seems to remember. Was she real...or has his mind actually snapped from his trauma?

Questions arise amidst this beach time getaway. Will the rutt cycle lead to the young Drake's ruin? Will Celestia succeed in saving her son? Will Twilight's feelings amount to anything? Who is this new dragoness haunting Spike's mind. Why the heck do dragonesses have boobs?!? Find out as a shadowy figure arrives on the scene with revelations...or disaster!

Enjoyed the original and a few ideas popped into my head that the author was kind enough to greenlight. Never wrote anything with smut so...not entirely sure how that will go. One thing I can tell you is that this will mainly be story with some language, sappy romance, and over the top comedy at the core. Will giving warning on smut chapter when/should they occur and any trigger they may occur. Also, because strange genre tag limitations, expect some drama and pseudoscience.
